Great Mechanics and reasonably priced. I have been a customer here for 5 plus years. 3 vehicles i own and they all have close to 275,000 Miles. Once in a while i need a alternator or a windsheild wiper Motor. Ive haved cv axle replaced by them. My father just had to get a new ac compressor in his car. Went here with my friend for work on her car, it wasn’t quite the work or price I had a problem with— but how I was treated. One of the men here were incredibly inappropriate with me and my friend, staring at our chests and making snide comments others here were constantly giving me an attitude and being rude when all we were doing was just trying to get help. We both felt incredibly uncomfortable the entire time, will not be returning.

I was in a jam on a Saturday after another mechanic had failed to address a problem on my car. I found Claymont Auto Repair was open and I took a gamble that they would be able to help me on a weekend. I knew I had a leak in a hose but was not sure if there were more serious issues. When I arrived I was greeted by a service mechanic as soon as I exited the car. He quickly and thouroughly diagnosed my problem and fixed it, He inspected other areas that could have been related and I walked out with a repair that was quick and priced fairly. Everyone there greeted me and was talkative. I will be using this facility and asking for Muhammad everytime.

I’ve had nothing but bad experiences here. I won’t be returning. I’ve dumped a lot of money into my car getting fixed here and it’s still having the problem I went to go get fixed. They tell me it’s my fault but I know for a fact I take care of my car and do what they told me to do. There has been clues to my engine being tampered with after bringing my car to their business. Now I’m left with a car that still has the same problem. I call them and they get an attitude and try and make it seem like I don’t know what I’m talking about. One time I took my car there on a Thursday and they told me they would start working on it in the morning. So Friday around 4pm I stopped by to see how it was doing and the guy laughed in my face and said they didn’t even start it. What’s funny ? The only thing thats a joke is this business.

This place is a complete rip-off I wish I could give zero stars or negative stars to this place. My 19 year old daughter took her 2008 impala to these clowns to fix an overheating problem and a loose battery terminal cable. They changed the thermostat and the battery terminal cable and charged her $195.00. The battery problem was fixed yet the car continues to overheat. Also the next day she found transmission fluid under her car. She took it to Aamco also on Philadelphia Pike in Claymont De. They found that her transmission line was cut. Aamco fixed it and charged her $54.50 parts and labor. She took her car back to Claymont Auto Repair under the pretense of a warranty on her overheating problem. They keep her car for a week then charged her $276.00 and told her that her car was fine. She drove 1.5 miles and her car continues to overheat. She called these thieves and told them that they did not fix the problem and they told her that it was something she was doing wrong. Apparently the only thing she did wrong was to patronize these scoundrels. Please beware if you need repairs on your vehicle especially if youre a young college student on a budget.

I took my car here for an oil change and apparently according to my insurance adjuster my oil filter was not secured correctly and the oil leaked out and caused my engine to seize. Needless to say I will not be taking my next car to them. What a bunch of hacks 💩😤
