THE GOOD - Big selection of ice creams to choose from, including a variety of soy and several unusual flavors. Service was prompt, and the scoops were large. Lots of interesting pre-made frozen treats in other freezers.The place has both seating inside and several tables set up outside, to allow for spacing.THE OKAY - Both of the two scoops I had (of different flavors) had a just a bit of icy crunch to them, a sign of ice cream too long in the freezer. That said, it was the the first day of classes at the nearby Claremont colleges, so demand has not yet ramped up.THE VERDICT - When we come out to visit my son at college, well definitely be treating him (and us) to another visit.

I was driving through town on my way to downtown LA when I had a craving for ice cream on the go. Hoping to support a small business I had come across Claremont Cones and figured i’d give it a shot. When I arrived I was immediately impressed on how clean and organized this shop was, and how many options they had on display. I don’t think i’ve been to another ice cream shop with this many options. On top of this, there were an equally abundant amount of toppings from fruity pebbles and reece’s pieces, to health food staples of goji berries and hemp seeds. Snacks of all kinds lined every corner- even homemade cakes, cake pops, popsicles, tubs of ice cream, and cheesecake slices were available in containers to grab on-the-go. They also have açaí bowls, sundaes, even cotton candy burritos, and waffle sticks made to order. I tried a cup of death by chocolate and coffee which was a good combo. I was served by the owner of the shop, her name was Lulu. She was kind and accommodating. I couldn’t leave without trying some other stuff since I didn’t know when I’d be nearby next, so I grabbed some ice pops from the to-go freezer. Lulu rang me up, then recommended to customize the mango and strawberry ice pops with chamoy and tajin. She placed the ice pop in a cup of chamoy and sprinkled tajin on it. It was amazing and I had it on the way out. You should come and try all the crazy combinations you can think of in this small shop, everything is good and you won’t be disappointed- this place is gem and a convenient pit stop coming to and from LA proper. I never knew you could do that with Ice cream. They found a way to make so many flavors that I never heard of, and that tast so good. 👍

Amazing customer service, place is neat and pleasant. I love the fruits paletas and the raspados . I also love the fact that my dog can have ice cream with me. (dogie ice cream). Thank you, Claremont cones. Cakes are amazing!

Their hours show that they close at 10:00pm. I showed up at 9:28 and they shut the lights off when they saw me walking up. Meanwhile, the the employees and what I assume were their friends were just hanging out inside.

They have really good ice cream options, but it seems like they are closed all the time now. Im always getting my order cancelled even when I get a pre-order.

This former B-R31 location serves first quality ice cream in a clean, brightly lit, and convenient space. Their products are from the Bay Area and Pacific Northwest, and are excellent takes on traditional as well as off-beat flavors. Staff is professional and friendly, plus they do not skimp on the serving size.

Great variety of traditional and interesting flavors, generous scoops, and tasty. Worth a visit on a hot day, or any day. They also have sugar free and non-dairy options. Nice quality, good service, a winner all-around!

Disgustingly NASTY! The ice cream tastes like mud, and the workers are so mean! Everything about this place is repulsive but the customer service was exceptionally appalling. The ice cream made me gag and I literally spit it on their floor. It brought me a little bit of joy when the rude employee slipped and fell on my mess when he was trying to clean it up. I would never step foot NEAR this place again. EW!

Quality ice cream and unique, tasty and plentiful toppings. Any flavors you might want and then some. Real waffles for cones if you want. Pleasant staff. Local business owners (Round Table Pizza next door to their new ice cream shop). One stop eating.

This girl needs more ice cream on her next visit. How can she get a card good to redeem for ice cream at Claremont Cones Ice Cream?

I went here to see how it compared to the old ice cream shop that used to be at this location, and I was VERY disappointed. The ice cream was melting before I even got to pay, dripping on my clothes. When i tried to ask the staff member about the ice cream, she acted very rude and spoke to me like a child, telling me it wasn’t her fault and refused to even give me more napkins when I asked. There are many other ice cream places in Claremont, go to one of hose rather than this place.

Lately, portion sizes are erratic based upon server. Four dollars for a single scoop in a cup ought to be filling the cup, not a partial amount. Servers need to be consistent and focused on customer satisfaction, not just cost savings.

Got 3 diffrent flavors and very disappointed. No flavor. My 7 year old got cotton candy, he took 3 licks, then threw it away saying this doesnt taste right.

Found a bug in my ice cream! so gross! would give zero stars if possible but google hasnt advanced that far yet! would not even recommend this ice cream to my worst enemy... and the workers are mean.
