We had a rather disappointing visit here. The service was extremely slow. When we arrived there were two groups in front of us so we expected that the line would move along quickly...that was not the case on this visit. The young man who order his banana split after we order our ice cream cones somehow managed to get his order before ours came out, while all other orders were coming out in the same order as they were placed. The quality of the ice cream was not very good. It tasted more like ice milk than ice cream and the chocolate did not taste like chocolate.

Love this place!! The soft serve ice cream is so good!! And the prices are so reasonable. Definitely recommend this place to satisfy your sweet tooth!!

I love this place! They are friendly, fast, and clean. You have to try the hot fudge cakes, you will never eat the one from frischs again.

Im 39 years old and grew up in Mt Healthy. I moved back about a year and a half ago after a little over 20 years. Going here tonight brought back memories of my dad taking us all here at least once a year 😁 I swear it was just like I remember it!! Excellent service, delicious ice cream!!

Why am I just now tasting the banana pudding flurry for the first time.....9/29/21.... its the BOMB!!! If you like banana pudding, youll LOVE this flurry!! Im sad that its the end of the season now!

Would give five stars but I was lied to twice. Once saying they were out of 32 ounce cups and then I paid for extra thick shake and it was like pure milk. But most of the time great. Definitely my favorite ice cream parlor

People who are from Colerain/Mt Airy will remember that originally Gold Top was one of two competing ice cream shops in the neighborhood. Gold Top and Eat-N-Treat. Gold Top won out due to a myriad of issues with Eat-N-Treat, but they definitely deserve the top spot for ice cream in the area. 10/10 times I would rather go here than Graeters, and even living in Wyoming/Finneytown where theres a Graeters right down the street I still dont mind making my way out to Mt Airy. They have the BEST flurry in existence. Their prices are reasonable, perhaps on the higher end if youre looking to feed a family dinner and ice cream, but they make up for it with above average quality toppings and they do not skimp on them when theyre making your order. I would challenge anyone to find a better non-specialty ice cream shop anywhere.

I always come here and get my regular, which is my vanilla icecream and rainbow sprinkles, but today I had a taste for a Strawberry Short cake!! First time trying their strawberry shortcake!!! Must say it was very delicious!! Love that they use fresh strawberries!! I will definitely get it again!

I got soft serve in a waffle cone. It only had one size/price for the waffle cone. Thats fine, whatever. Except it was $3.50 (I think. Busy day and I cant recall if it was $3.25, .50 or .75) and the ice cream size might have been medium. I love soft serve ice cream, but I think I dont love it THAT much. Ill pass that one up next time I get a craving.

Busy lot so keep an eye on the little ones. Not scenic, but old school charming. Not super fast, so dont go when youre in any hurry.

Gold Top holds a special place in my heart as it was the place my parents would take us for a treat as children.I happened to be in the area for the first time in years, and as I came upon the the big yellow A-frame roof while driving I immediately pulled in to the parking lot to give it a go.Even (nearly) thirty years later, I found myself drawn to the same order I made as a child: the cherry-dipped vanilla ice cream cone. It was just as awesome as I remembered it, which in this era of nostalgia which often fails to live up to the pedastool we put it on was both refreshing and appreciated.

The soft serve ice cream is smooth creamy and delicious. The staff are pleasant however the drive thru line gets 1 star. It takes average customer 5 minutes at the window so if the line is wrapped around the building to can bet u will be in line 20 minutes or more if u are at the tail end of the line. I hope they improve the speed of the drive thru cause otherwise I wouldve given then 5 stars!

The ice cream is top notch. Would be 5 stars if the seating area was a bit more updated. The benches and tables keep you from staying too long. Lol
