Me and my husband brought our son here. It was his first time going to guitar center. My husband has been coming to guitar center for years. Weve been married 17 years and Ive been coming for that long and have visited many different locations this was our first time at this one and I will say it is a decent guitar center. It doesnt have a huge selection of guitars but they did have some pretty good deals. Our son loved it he started playing guitar a little over a year ago and he really enjoyed this visit. All the employees we dealt with were very helpful and knew what they were talking about.
Lots of interesting things for music lovers.
Eric is extremely helpful and conscientious and in fact all my dealings with everyone at this location have been positive.
I’m giving Guitar Center 5 stars because they fanned a spark into a fire in my daughter. She started learning the guitar at school and decided to go to a free session Guitar Center offered. There she found John, her extremely patient teacher. She is really enjoying her lessons and is making progress. She’s a teenager and she actually shares what she learns with me. The funny thing is that we purchased the guitar a year ago from them (great customer service, helped us pick a guitar in our price range that was similar to what she played at school )so that she could practice outside of school and there it sat until the free guitar lesson. I know my deceased husband is smiling down on her because he played guitar and bass. Give Guitar Center a chance, I believe you won’t regret it!😉
Completely blown away by how awful this store was. I have spent thousands of dollars at guitar center over the years and went in today for technical help. After being told there are no guitar techs in the Midwest region of the country, I asked two of the non teenage employees if they could help at all to which they responded laughingly to “try harder”. Never going back
Excellent! Their People are very knowledgeable & friendly. Great selection of items. Sis-in-Law bought a Taylor guitar🎶 today! Prices are pretty good too
Greeted upon entry and directed to tambourine. Made purchase. In and out in less than 15 mins.
Used to be better. Ive been a few times lately, and a few times no one would speak to me and asked if I needed assistance
Great instructors and John in lessons department always helpful and friendly
Excellent staff. Jasper did a great job on the setup on my strat. Cool place to hang out, as random people roll in and play guitars.
My 6 year old daughter has progressed so quickly with her piano lessons. Thank you
Was an employee i love it was interviewed in 1994 by channel9 wcpo got to meet randy little in person i was so excited. Love Kings island.
They didnt have exactly what we were looking for, but an associate was helpful in showing us where to look.
Sold some used instruments and was pleased with the experience. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Very nice selection musical instruments way more guitars than the store located in the Florence area I brought me home a beautiful MK5 BC Rich Warlock which sounds great for playing metal I really enjoy it looking forward to going back you cant beat their 6 months same as cash deal going on swing in pick yourself up something tell him 7.62 for you send them. The manager Aaron and the worker Josh was in more than helpful on getting me what I needed and helping me out very friendly thats what its about dont b******* the customer tell them how it is thats what I like about these too straight-laced guys when I go back I will be asking for them. Cause once I got the beast home it has a chip in the back. He gave me a good discount on it...
Always helpful with my needs. They have had everything that I needed in store. Very Knowledgeable and they offer lessons for those that want to learn how to play Guitar
Lots of affordable gear I would buy if I could get back to playing...
They have better stock than Sam Ash and they are open later......looks like Im making the switch!
Music central localized! If your a musician, Id advise you to just buy from a reputable company online. GC is an instant gratification machine.
Nice place that what I needed and seen some things I want
Could clean the floors a bit more carpet was pretty worn... good equipment though. Good service help carry my piano
Nice selection, staff was limited. Customer service representatives were knowledgeable and friendly, found a limited stock item very promptly.
Friendly and attentive associates. Decent selection of musical instruments and equipment, even if they dont have Danelectro guitars.
We were those peoplw who stopped in last minute before closing. Staff was fun and accommodating and helped us find a great deal on an 81 key keyboard. Weve been to locations all over Ohio, as well as some in Kentucky and Indiana and have never had a bad experience. They also do layaway that we have used a few times as well.
I had a wonderful experience purchasing a violin, 1-2 years ago. The staff was very courteous. What I dont understand, is why a customer would be offended because, hes asked to wear a mask. Do people not pay attention, to the death toll from the coronavirus? Thank you staff for taking and enforcing safety precautions for your customers.
As I walked around aimlessly like a fish out of water, before I was asked for help, the gentleman behind the counter made sure to tell me that my mask had to cover my nose. Ten minutes later he was still selling a pack of guitar strings as I was continuously looking at $500 amps. I guess enjoy your 50 cent commission, Ill be taking my business elsewhere.
Good people. I worry even their time will be wasted trying to teach an insolent child how to play piano. Talking about you Hayden 😂
Major fun to have at Guitar Center ! I almost couldnt believe the amount of music equipment they carry, and the staff was eager and willing to help !
Good service and Alot of music Instruments to choose off
Nice staff but gave me a power supply that was wrong.
Overall cool place. I purchased some sticks and picked them up from there. I wanted to try them out at the store but there was nobody working in the drum section which sucked. The person could have called off so I get but it would have been nice to try my sticks there.
Great service! I paid over the phone. When I got there that evening to pick up my pedal, the man I spoke to on the phone wasnt there. There was some confusion with finding the item, but it was found and I had some good conversation about different guitars and looping. Despite having to wait, it was worth it because of the friendliness.
Well stocked .. great staff.. great experience overall
Bought a multieffects pedal there. 👌
Awesome great selection and the employee that worked with did a outstanding job.
Good information I was looking for
Pretty snobby to casual musicians, which is pretty standard for these kinds of music stores. Also, an employee informed me that another employee “in the back right now” has COVID. I don’t think people who are sick should be coming into work. Try moeller music. It’s literally one minute away and they are more encouraging to new/casual musicians
Told by management I was breaking the guitar i was demoing by tuning it wrong (Floyd rose system). Instead of showing me how to tune a Floyd rose system or tuning for me so I could demo it. I was asked to put back before I broke it. Needless to say I immediately left to purchase and get educated on the guitar at my local Sam Ash.
Nice selection of electric guitars, acoustic selection was disappointing. Prices were good and the staff was ready to help without being pushy.
Lots of quality product. Knowledgeable personel.
I have always loved this music store. You can come in and try any of the gear, play as much as you want. I recently bought a digital piano here, and was treated with the utmost respect and helped along in every part of the process by the staff. I would highly recommend this store to both amateurs and professionals. They have excellent prices and frequent sales on the stuff you really want and need as a musician. I am a decent career musician, and instantly felt right at home shopping here.
Awesome. Had everything I needed and great service. Ill be back.
Cool place. Lacking in classical guitars.
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Good selection of new and used guitars.
I almost never post a review, whether my experience was great or terrible. However, just wanted to thank GC in Cincinnati and Eric Lewis. I had an issue, he addressed it and made it right. The true test of a company and its associates is how they handle a problem/opportunity....which happens to every business all the time in spite of processes in place. They excelled at making it right! Thanks again!Adam DCanton, OH
Everyone was nice and helpful. I was disappointed they did not have sheet music for drums though like guitars for popular bands.
Buy Lot of supplies and guitar from very helpful staff.
Every time I have been to the store they had what I needed in stock and the employees were very helpful. Anything you could need for your guitar they usually have a wide selection of.
Customer service is not good as good as I wouldve expected...unless the goal is to ask for help if needed...#NoGreeting
Great experience. Has excellent customer service and products.
Horribly disappointed with the lack of customer service and overall rudness of the employees. Not helpful at all, nor did they even offer to help. Maybe they dont realize, or care that there are other options for music stores, plus the ability to order anything you can dream up online. Not going back.
Horrible experience today. Almost got run out of the store because my mask wasnt covering my nose. Wont be back to shop. Wasnt able to shop for a guitar really. Multiple employees almost ran up to my son and I telling us to cover our nose. Good luck to you if your mask slips down, will they tackle you next?
I had visited the Guitar Center and it was an awful experience especially in the drum center. I picked out a $350 cymbal and stand rig I wanted to buy that day but I was informed they had no employee working in percussion anymore? I approached a manager working on store signage at the front door also doing other non customer service functions and told him I needed help in drums and he said he would be with me in a moment. I waited for 25 minutes in the drum section by myself and he never came back so I left. Walking out the door as he was cleaning the windows he said sorry about the wait .. I was busy. I went around the corner to Sam Ash and actually bought better gear with an employee that actually seemed to care for the customer.
Got a nice electric
The people here are certainly willing to help. And I love how you can go and try things out to find the right instrument for you.
DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING ONLINE IN Guitar Center. especial that marked Available - IT IS A HUGE LIE !!!! Nothing will be available for you. Nothing will be processed the same day. They are selling used items as a new if you are not aware about that. If you placing your order for the item that is marked Available for pickup today - knew it will not and most likely it is not available in choose store at all, even if their system will state that. You must be very luck person to find new guitar in your hands. When you will call at store to check the status sales guy in store will repeat couple times that you order submitted over 6 hours ago not yet processed and then drop the phone with no an even small a try to help. Then you will wait for half an hour to talk to on-call representative - which will let you know that your store doesnt have such item, not even for pickup today. and all the stores within hour of driving either. If you lucky enough and ready to wait - they will ship to you potentially item that was displayed and used by everyone who came in store for unknown period of time. And if you will point on that - maximum what you will get is $10 discount.Horrible service. Company does not respect the clients.
Im left handed, and its always disappointing to see a poor selection of left handed guitars. Today, they nicest guitar they had for a lefty was a newer American strat. Other than poor lefty selection, its always fun to buy strings. I can always bring my own guitar and try amps.
These guys are great, they are very knowledgeable about the instrument side of music. and most of the people I have talked to are very well-rounded with music as a whole playing recording were just going watchin bands play..and they dont say anything about you drooling on the instruments either..
After a horrible 1 star rating of the Dayton store I ended up here. Hillbilly in the acoustic room was awesome. I walked in looking to spend 400 and ended up with a nice Taylor for much more. Thanks for taking the time to show me a few things and for getting me to go above my budget. Im very happy!
I like the laid backness of it. And they don’t follow you around 👍🏽. But the prices are too high! Bought a used guitar and afterwards found out it would have been cheaper from EVERWHERE else NEW! That’s just being greedy. Fail on my part for not checking but even the cords are high. Research before you buy!
Almost always a friendly and approachable staff. The only incident I can ever think of, the place was bursting at the seams and I didnt wanna be there either. 😂 I prefer this store for my guitar needs. I hear they have lessons as well. Something I think reflects positively on the atmosphere.
Met A nice sales person the rest seemed to be ignoring customers.
Seems to me they never have what I want in stock. So I settled for a different set of speakers than what i originally wanted. Was told by salesman that my extended warranty i purchaesd for my electro voice speakers was through guitar center, and not a third party. That I could bring my merchandise back to the store anytime in three next two years and get a full refund. All of that was a lie. After having a problem with the elx200-18sps that I settled for, I found out that was a lie. Was told I would have to file a claim, wait for a gift card for my speakers, then purchase something else from them. Instead of getting my money back to go elsewhere. When I plainly asked the sales guy if it was a 3rd party deal at the purchase. Cause if it was I would take my $3,500 somewhere else to get what I wanted.
Great place very helpful.
Its like an adult toys r us
The staff here are just too god
Very nice and clean. The store was somewhat busy when I came in but the staff are very nice. They helped me find my daughter clarinet reeds.
It was great, service was amazing, they answered questions in no time and gave me a few suggestions as to what I should buy at my level of experience.
Website said guitar was available for pick up that day. Ordered it and it suddenly went of delivery from California. Got it 1 week later. But love the Taylor CE.
Everyone was very friendly! They had a nice selection of instruments!
They gave me a fair and honest price on the bass guitar I went to resell to them.
Nice service. Good accustic/electric guitar selection. But it lacked electric guitar variety when I visited it.
Love the place has alot of great stuff inside
Clean, organized and a great selection!
Thanks for being open. Excellent customer services
Yikes. Times have been tough on Guitar Center.. and apparently its employees as well.
Knowledgeable staff. Good prices.
Although being (holiday) busy, i was helped very quickly. I managed to buy 4 cymbal stands, several drum hardware items and some odds and ends for a show that had come up last minute. I was out the door in 23 minutes with a employee with a dolly helping me to my car. A+ Great service!!
Very helpful staff.
Nice and friendly staff
Covid 19 impacted them in the pro audio department but other than that Im sure Id give 5 stars
The staff are friendly very knowledgable and very welcoming I would definitely recommend going to this store been going there since I was 10 and still love it there
Stopped in to buy some drum heads about a week or so ago and noticed they had all of the sizes I needed except for the 12 tom in the version of skin I was looking for. Jackie went above and beyond to help me out and she ended up providing me a head from a fusion pack since she was going to change out some heads on the display kits anyway. I thought it was super nice of her to do this for me. She didnt have to but she took the initiative and it even saved me $20. Thanks for taking care of me, Jackie!
Excellent shop.
The store has guitars all around the floor in the way of the amps they only have 2 instrument cords so you have to wait for someone to finishes trying out a guitar and try and beat them to the amp they where using, also feel like they try and get u out of there when you’re trying to purchase a guitar that’s 1k who makes up there mind in 30 minutes for a purchase like that, again they didn’t seem very interested in really helping just getting you out of there, instead of asking if there is a specific guitar I’d like to play off the top wall
They need more Ovation & Marshall stuff. But where else can you go....guitar strap $3.99
I visit Guitar Centers for something to do when traveling for work. Ive visited 58 different stores to date! This location is above average with a great selection of new and used gear. I requested a black Ricky bass be brought down from the top tow of basss and enjoyed practicing my upcoming set of tunes there for about two hours. For me, a great place to hang out when away from home!
Andy in repairs knows his stuff, and does a great job with repairs and setups. However, there seems to be a lack of communication between associates, as Andy was waiting on a part, that I had already told another employee at drop off, not to worry about replacing. Along with miscommunication between managment, and customer service/corporate, when it comes to customer concerns. Thanks Andy.
Great service with knowledgeable staff. Has everything you might need for electric audio
Its a big box music store. All and all, Ive had pretty good experiences at this Guitar Center. Theyve had the stock that their website says they have and Ive been treated well and not hounded aggressively by staff. So what can I say? Its a pretty good version of a big box store.
The biggest store I have ever seen in guitar center terms. I love guitar center for what they are but as big as this store is there is no personal connection like there is in Pittsburgh where I am from. I love them for what they do but wish they would have a nice local store touch. Cincinnati doesnt have as many stores as Pittsburgh does so I cant blame them for this but I wish they had more!
Very helpful
Great selection, competitive pricing, and friendly staff.
I bought a $300 pedal I had it about 60 days it malfunctioned, I never bought their protection plan my bad which for that much it should at least have a year warranty No 45 days . I have bought thousands of dollars worth of music equipment at guitar center never again will i shop there...The pedal is in front of their store Smashed they would not help in any way....................SAMASH
It was great there was so much there.
