This place rocked! The Manager was awesome with helping me out! Good job man!
Great selection of gear... Nice customer service ...very organized
If the dressing rooms are close due to Covid (understandable), the only suggestion is to buy the clothes, go home and try them on. If they do not fit, you do not get your money back, you can only get a store credit. Make it make since. Was not told that part. Horrible. So now I have a credit that I may never use. Oh and to add icing on the cake the store clerk states that I must have my receipt to redeem my store credit (gift card) because the cards have been messing up lately.
Been sitting outside for 20 mins prior to them opening at 10 and its now 10:15 and not a person in sight. I tried to call and it rang maybe 3 times then to VM..
We absolutely love City Gear, every time we go there we always find the newest gear!
They was focus on who working the next morning somebody almost at 40 hours he going to clock him out not on front of the customers i want visit that 1 again
Employees were very helpful and courteous it would be nice if the store was handicap accessible.
Sold my daughter a pair of ripped boots and when she called them to exchange them they refused to exchange them. Don’t shop here. Downtown City Gear. I’d rather go to Nike outlet or Footlocker. You can’t ever go wrong there.
Finally found something in my size.
ALWAYS SOME FRESH SHOES
I absolutely love City Gear and also customer service is great the people that assist you and help you are great people great attitudes great personalities City Gear on Race Street downtown Cincinnati I give Big Ups thank you guys today for your help
Walked into this establishment and not one single person said a word to me.. The whole time I was there.. not a hi, not a hello, not a may I help you, what are you looking for nothing.. theyre too busy joking around at the counter and cutting up with other customers very nice store very poor staff so sad can spend money in an establishment that dont show acknowledgement very judgemental staff
If they was more friendly couldve got another star..

They were ok at first then i go in a second time and got ignored by the mgt. And a sales person . helped me then turn around and say i off work and walked away and then im standing for 20 mins before mgt. Even say anything to me again smh. She ask me did i need help walked and gave her no recognition race st no go never going back
Nice store, very busy when there are new releases.
A short black male manager down there accused me of stealing.. when the alarm went off as I left. He demanded to see my bag that I left at the front desk when I first came in, very rude and aggressive, I was forced to called the police on him. Once the police arrived him and two other associates argue with the officers. The police told me to leave as the argument escalated ... they have no respect for the customer, no respect for Cincinnatis finest, no respect for themselves .
Workers were great, an nice
Always great greeting always helping out customer to find best shoe for their budget not pushy to sell high price items always great sales I go to this one at all because of the great experience always ready to help
Awesome service, great crew!!!
The City Gear location on Race St downtown is extremely distrusting of their customers and I recommend avoiding it at all costs. I used to work nearby this store and have been collecting sneakers for about a decade now, so one day I decided to stop in after work to check out new releases. On that occasion, I was disallowed walking more than a few feet into the store due to wearing my work backpack. Note that there is no sign posted indicating that customers cannot wear backpacks, and that this was right around dinnertime so I was leaving work while still dressed professionally in work clothes. At the time there were only 1 or 2 other customers in the store. The security guard at the door is not actually a store employee, but an outsourced contractor, and in my experience he chooses to exercise a disappointing level of unprofessionalism. Our conversation went something like this:Me: *Walks inside the front door a few feet with work backpack* Hello!Guard: Give me your backpackMe: Uhh... wait what?Guard: Stop, you cant come inside the store any further. Give me your backpack.Me: What?! Im just leaving work. This is my work backpack and it has my work laptop in it.Guard: I dont care what it is... Ill put it by the desk.Me: *Glances at checkout desk which no one is standing near or monitoring the security of bags that may be stored already, observes that the guard is wearing a rental service uniform and is not actually a store employee*Me: Im not comfortable handing a stranger my (very expensive) work laptop.Guard: *smirking and laughing* What you dont trust me or something?Me: *(flabbergasted)* I cant leave my work computer unattended, and Id like to browse the new sneakers. Im willing to hand you my ID and let you check my bag before I leave if you have any concerns.Guard: Give me your bag or you cant come inMe: I would like to speak to a managerGuard: *does nothing*Me: *walks out*The part that doesnt add up about this unusual behavior is that this location is in a safe part of the city — near Washington Park — and the other stores in downtown and OTR dont treat their customers like this.I havent experienced being stopped at the door and requested to leave my backpack with someone at another retail store in my life. If they intend to treat all legitimate customers like this, management should put up a sign stating this so others can know to avoid the store. After this encounter, I refuse to visit the City Gear on Race St again or give them my business. We have many options for sneaker stores in the city and all of the other ones treat their customers with reasonable trust and respect — Cincinnati sneakerheads would be better off if this store closed. For sneaker stores that are legitimate, consider visiting an independent spot like Corporate or Unheardof, or one of the chains like Foot Locker or Finish Line.
