Ive used this Rite Aid pharmacy for years. We walk in every year and get our flu shots. This year we walked in with our paperwork already filled out and were told we needed an appointment. This was brand new information to me. We went outside to get on their website to book an appointment and the next one wasnt for two weeks. We ended up driving over to Scripps down the road who got us in and out in 30 minutes. I gave a 3 rating because, I dont blame the store or the policy, I just wish they had better signage. At the front door and hanging in the parking lot are signs about getting your free flu shot. None of those signs say appointment needed. Customers will usually do what you ask of them but we need to know what you want ahead of time or it is frustrating... I will still use this location for my prescriptions but, no longer for immunizations.

This is my pharmacy if I need a prescription faster than I can get from my typical mail delivery pharmacy. I always have an issue when I come here. Today I am here to pick up prescriptions that I dropped off 5 days ago. I came back 4 days ago to learn they hadn’t processed the prescription because they didn’t think our insurance would pay. They were wrong. Then they had to order one of the items. That took until today. Now I am in line behind 3 people because the manager decided to close down both registers at the same time. Non existent customer service here.

Manager Maria had a very nonchalant attitude. A thermometer (the last one) was apparently placed on the wrong rack. We were advised there was nothing that could be done what it rang up as was the price. We then asked to show her where we got it from she decided to show us which was not the right location. We walked her to the baby section and showed her where it was thankfully we had a picture because I was in the car at first and my sister was confirming it was the one I wanted. We showed her that as well. She went on to tell us if there were more thermometers there she then could honor the price. However there were NO MORE thermometers left. She told me she could give me a discount but could not honor the price posted and just had a bad attitude about it. Hopefully Frank the district manager gives his store manager another training session of customer service.

After calling CVS with absolutely NO HELP I called this Rite Aid hoping they might be able to do something. The girl that answered the phone listened to my problem and said let me get you to the manager, Im sure he can help. I explained our predicament to Peter the manager which he immediately understood and came up with a great solution. He would need to go out of his way to help but he didnt hesitate. Peters store wont benefit from my business since I live 350 miles away but the local Rite Aid will. Parents imagine your single child living 350 miles away, needing supplies from a pharmacy and not able to enter the store. CVS didnt even attempt to find a solution and Rite Aid didnt hesitate to help.

Bonnie who claims to be the pharmacy manager at this Rite Aid location is either really slow or lazy, or both. She claimed it will take at least an hour to process 4 prescriptions ahead of me. When pressed, and after berating me in front of her staff and other customers, it took her less than a minute to get the abx ready. Very dismissive and combative without a modicum of customer service skills...To be fair, the other pharmacist, Gil, is the opposite of Bonnie. He has a kind tone and approach to customer service which is greatly appreciated.

Came here a few times, especially for the rite aid ice cream. They always have a sale for the thrifty ice cream: buy one get one free. Rocky Road and Pina Colada is the best. And on occasion, when I dont feel like spending $10 for two scoops at Baskin Robins or Cold Stones, I get it here for $2 a scoop.New review:Had to drop off prescription on a Sunday. Came back to pick it up and didnt realize the pharmacy closed early. Hours indicated that it was opened 24/7. Couldnt get the antibiotics started on my daughter until the next day.There was no line when I came back on Monday. The medications prescribed werent covered because they were below the co-pay. In that case, i should of been to Costco because they charged a lot less for that. Only downside was that Costco was not opened 24/7, i thought this pharmacy was, but it wasnt either.

Love me some thrifty ice cream also the checkers are friendly and helpful in locating hard to find items

They called me and And told me that that my prescription was ready when I got there it was not in the delayed me 45 minutes until they got it ready like I didn’t have nothing better to do with my time will not be coming here again

We frequent this Rite Aid for all our Pharmaceutical needs, Holiday Decorations, and often visit the Thrifty Ice Cream too! However, today was not one of our usual pleasant experiences while there (2230 Otay Lakes Rd, Chula Vista). As usual, we walk in (myself and my two boys 7 & 8yrs of age) and if not filling or picking up a prescription, we head over to get some Ice Cream. Now, Im sorry, if the tall guy w/long tied back, light brown hair assisting us was not having a great day to begin with, but I saw how he was eyeing my sons down the Seasonal isles where they had the Christmas and Halloween Decoration out for display in the shelves. As I was about to place my ice-cream orders.He then proceeded to help me, not being too enthusiastic about it, I had felt. So, after getting our Ice-Cream I joined my sons at the same isle to check out the Halloween Decorations on display. After awhile or so, this same guy comes to tell my boys to not mess with the items. Well, they are 7 & 8yrs of age and they are always stoked about Halloween Decorations so, their bound to get excited and ruff some stuff up, but not intentionally, more out of excitement of it! So, I totally understand that. So, now a little while later, this guy comes back a 2nd time and says to me, to please watch your kids! Please! He pointed out that my younger son was still messing with stuff. Then, my younger son sees that he was targeted and now wants to hide away from this guy because he was made ashame in public. I mean kids will be kids, but you didnt have to be loud enough to have him be embarrassed. So, as I was paying for some stuff at the front counter, my younger son was hiding away from this guy as if he was now scared and he made him feel like he was a BAD KID! I understand its a pain to do over the merchandise but you didnt have to talk loud for all to be heard and embarrass my 7yr old son. So, I think there could have been a much better approach, dont you think? Feeling frustrated!!!
