I really like this spot. It’s quaint, aesthetically quirky, and the staff is exceptional. It’s smack dab in the middle of Third Avenue, making it a great stop on your way to other events, or a nice place to chill for a while and work or chat with friends.The coffee here is so good. Super flavorful, perfectly acerbic, has a great finish. I especially like their lattes. Grindhouse is a must-try when you’re hanging out in Chula Vista!

Went yesterday with a friend. They werent super busy but took over 15 minutes to get our drinks. (We check based off the time we got our text message for the point system.) My friend got a 7 dollar drink which she didnt even end up drinking because it was so bad. The guy checked with us because he claimed it had 4 shots when it tasted like it had one. White Mocha taste was not present. I got a cold brew, tasted bland and not strong at all ( at this point I was regretting not going to starbucks instead and I know craft coffee so I really thought this was the better option.) My friend usually loves coming here but man this was a huge disappointment and honestly a waste of money. I personally would never go back. (My friend is much nicer.)

I have to start off by saying that upon arrival to this coffee shop I instantly noticed the awesome murals and the nice display of skate boards on the wall. This was my first time visiting this place but not the first time trying their Chi tea Latte. I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised that the Chi tea latte tasted the exact same way that it did the first time I tasted it. My mom found this Jewel. It would be nice to have a small couch or comfortable seating inside but, I understand that due to Covid-19 it is not possible at this time. I recommend this place. #isupportsmallbusinesses

I got the vanilla sweet cream cold brew and it was so so so smooth!! Theres no bite or bitterness to their coffee. The vanilla sweet cream is SLIGHTLY sweet as opposed to an overwhelming sweetness. I usually drink dark roast coffee with cream no sugar and this was so delicate and refreshing. The barista was helpful and sweet. I like that you can buy a coffee for a stranger as an act of kindness. I will definitely be back!

First time here and we are hooked! My peppermint mocha was amazing! Both my wife and daughter loved their Mexican mocha and smores mocha as well. But my favorite was the breakfast egg, bacon and cheese sandwich!!! Highly recommend!!! There was a bit of a wait but worth it. Lets be fair, when have you ever eaten at a place thats amazing with no wait 😉

EDIT: BEST ICED DIRTY CHAI LATTE HANDS DOWN! I ordered the iced dirty chai latte for the first time here then started ordering it at other places to compare. They dont.. it has the perfect amount of balance and Im hooked on it it.. It has the perfect amount of sweetness with a good cinnamon after taste. This place never disappoints and if youve never had a dirty chai this is the place to try.

Since this gem opened up we have been obsessed! Amazing coffee (great varieties)! One of my favorite things to do is just ask the baristas to make me their current favorite drink and it never disappoints. And if your looking for some delicious food, everything on the menu is unbelievable. My favorite is their Cuban sandwich! Great place to come and hang out but also super family/kid friendly as well.

Its been a great meeting spot for me and a friend when Im in town visiting and we plan our days around going to the coffee shop. Came in late in the afternoon,so I skipped the coffee. Tried the Turkey pesto grinder. Excellent, and Ive worked in many delis over my lifetime, so Im kinda picky. The pasta side salad was also quite good. They dont skimp. Will definitely be back for coffee. Great service and comfortable atmosphere.

They have the usual fare of caffeinated drinks; interestingly, they also have alcoholic beverages.We hung out for a couple of hours and never felt rushed by staff. Although it was my first visit, it has already become my new favorite coffee shop in Chula Vista.Theres metered parking nearby, which only accepts coins (no cards) or, if you dont mind walking two small blocks down Davidson St., you can park for free at the nearby park. Id imagine the metered parking may get tricky when there is an event, for example the car shows, or earlier in the day. We visited in the evening when there was plenty of parking available.

Take care of your customers, dont offer excuses about how your drawer count will be off at the end of the night. Simple customer service goes a long way. I ordered a grilled cheese, there were 2 on menu-the regular & a descriptive grand one. I ordered the special one, it was 3 cheese I believe and a Modero light. Sandwich came & disappointingly my beer came in a container, no glass. So unto the sandwich: it WAS a grilled cheese, good size bread diagonally cut. But for some reason, especially with 3 cheeses, it was dry. Off day? Over grilled? I was disappointed in a potentially nice venue, area, beer & a beloved grilled cheese. For price, tip and taste, I will try somewhere diff next dr appt.

The place is small but very relaxing. They also have free wifi but for some reason my laptop wouldnt connect. I would love it if they had more food options.

Given this place a few chances now... Service could inprove, some items are priced higher compared to the rest of San Diego, which I found strange since Chula Vista is slightly more affordable. Atmosphere is ok. Overheard an employee or manager talking about how wasted he got the night before which is not something a customer needs to hear. Pastries are pretty good even the vegan ones. If this place could tighten up I would come more often but as it stands I would rather drive 6x the distance into SD proper to go to a shop doing it all right.

Met an old friend for lunch. Its in the heart of old chula vista and can get very busy and cramped parking is pretty rough as well but the coffee and service was great.
