John and his team are the best they are pros at what they do . Will continue to use there service for my truck. Always on time and great to work with.
Honest and quick with repair I will always bring back my truck to them
Just got my truck back from diag at @domesticdiesel. She needs head gaskets. I was recommended to go to them by a few people but I called around to multiple diesel shops in so cal just to feel it out as I have never taken any of my vehicles to a shop. Domestic diesel was the most professional and confident out of all of the shops I called. When I picked up my truck they explained to me why they determined it is head gaskets and why my EGR cooler is fine. They also explained everything included in the repair without me having to ask. I’ll be taking the truck there when I have the funds to get the job done. 100% recommend this diesel shop.
Love this shop. Owner is a honest good person. They always do what is right. I recommend all my friends and anyone asking for a good shop.
Id really like to thank this shop for taking me in and helping diagnose the problems I had run into with my 6.0.... oh wait, that never happened. They actually never returned any of my calls, and when I was able to actually speak with someone I was simply told Id get a call back shortly. I only got excuses. The tech will call you as soon as hes finished with a diagnostic right now.Give us a call back in X days at X time and well let you know.Ill text the mechanic and hell give you a direct call as soon as possible.Never happened. After several tries on this wild goose chase, not even for work yet, for JUST A DIAGNOSTIC, I was ignored. This seemed like a really reputable shop (hard to find in this area) based on all the good reviews, and I really wanted to believe it. All I wanted was a little bit of communication on their end. I understand the increase of workflow during this time making it hard to get the truck in, which wasnt an issue to me. The issue was the lack of communication on the shops end. Take your diesel somewhere else where theyll at least pretend to care. Or even reach out at all.
Flashed my computer chip for my 50 gallon fuel cell to read correctly. In and out in 15 minutes. Awesome guys!
Every time my F350 has engine problems I take it directly to Domestic Diesel. They diagnose the problem, quote me a price, and keep me updated. They are awesome from the front office to the mechanics in the back.
Best diesel shop I have ever used no one beats their experience hands down
Had DDAS do a transmission service on my Ram 2500. The shop is very clean and the staff are helpful and professional. Received my truck back as promised. Price for trans services was cheaper than the dealer.
The only shop I trust with my 6.0 F250. Great communication during any repair or maintenance. Recently took my truck in with a sputtering problem and they fixed it fast. They definitely know how to fix diesel trucks.
Great people great serviceSo I brought my truck in to get the engine filters clean to another diesel shop that was local, 3 weeks later theyre giving me the keys back and it was not running still. Domestic diesel finish the job within 3 or 4 days. They are essential in keeping my truck on the road which keeps my business running. So my family and I are very thankful for their expertise and work ethic. Alot of businesses nowadays dont even give you your moneys worth, everybody is out for number one, Domestic Diesel is not one of those, they shine bright in these dark days.
These guys are honest and professional. I would recommend to any diesal owner. John kept me up to date every step. They are the best around. Take your truck to them not the dealer or anyone else. Ty
This was my first visit to Domestic Diesel. I was referred by a friend. As it turns out, this will be the only place I take my Ford F-250 diesel. Not only was the work done well, the price was the most reasonable I have experienced. They were fair and told it straight from the beginning. I am also very impressed with the customer service. I had the chance to speak to the mechanic, as well as the front office. Both were pleasant and took the time to explain everything to me. I feel so fortunate that I have finally found a truck mechanic I can depend on and TRUST!Visit #2 - Another terrific visit to Domestic Diesel. We had to have our truck towed and had no clue what had happened and were ready to pay big time for repairs. Its incredible how honest and capable the mechanics are at this place. John spoke with us along the way explaining what he thought it might be and what additional things needed to be done. I think they go above and beyond for their customers. They are very down to earth and responsive. In the end, it was an easier fix than we thought and a very reasonable charge. I cant imagine taking my truck anywhere else again. This was my second visit for two different repairs, and Im a customer for life!
These guys are truly the best. They kept me informed all the time, and performed all the work they promised in the time they estimated and much cheaper then the dealership.
Was a great place to have my 3500 serviced. Will recommend them 120%. Awesome staff and best diesel repair facility with a lot of knowledge.
These guys are the very best at what they do! Thanks for getting me back on the road with ease! I called and they diagnosed the problem over the phone. Had to part within an hour and I was back on the road. Thanks you!
Great service! Everyone is knowledgeable from the front desk to the technicians. They updated me just about everyday on the progress of my vehicle. They gave me several quotes for work to be done that are in great detail and explains everything that they will do. Awesome company and all around great customer service!! Definitely will be returning to Domestic Diesel for future services and repairs!
Great service facilityAnother fantastic service by John, Nate and Jocelyn keeping my 15 year old F-250 on the roadNot the cheapest nor the biggest but the BEST in the IEDefinitely worth the 21 mile drive!Keep it up DD 😎👍
I have a 2006 Chevy 2500 HD 6.6L Duramax. I just dont trust anybody with my truck. I took it there hoping for the Best and That is what I got. John treated me very well and took care of my truck. I have had my truck back for a week now and she runs awesome. Thanks Domestic Diesel.
Great place to get your vehicle worked on. Had them do a bullet proofing on my 06 f350 dually diesel. The truck ran great and pulled great after there work was completed.
They do great work! Im very thankful for the replacements they did on my f250 and the friendly service. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone!
Bob took the time to call me every day with an update. Our trucks not only serve us for work but we become attached to them. Bob provided the reassurance that Domestic Diesel was taking care of my truck and me. I cant begin to explain the exhilaration I felt when the beautiful sound of the turbo kicked in as I drove away. What a special feeling, thanks to Domestic Diesel for all their good work.
I have taken my truck to Domestic Diesel many times over the years and I have always admired their honesty, integrity, and competence. However, the truest test of this came when my 04 6.0L F350 lost power while my daughter was driving a lonely highway in Idaho. She limped it home and it would not restart. Had it towed to the local Ford dealer. 1 week and $500 later the dealership advised me that it had thrown a lifter bearing and the engine was destroyed. Minimum cost for a new engine $10,150 (short block). Maximum cost $16.,500 (long block). I paid $1,250 to have the truck transported back home to California and Domestic Diesel. John called me back quick with the diagnosis of a bad high pressure oil pump ONLY and within a couple of days my daughter was back on the road in her beloved truck for a fraction of the cost! ($3,300) These guys are absolutely the best! Head and shoulders above the dealership when it comes to diagnosing and fixing complex issues.
Domestic Diesel was recommended by a friend. They are great! They had me on my way the next day. I would highly recommend Domestic Diesel!
Engine light came on and engine started banging. Recommended to Domestic Diesel who took me in even though they were overloaded with work. Truck was checked, serviced, and returned within 48 hours. Fantastic service, professionalism, and knowledge. Will take all my service needs to DOMESTIC DIESEL.
These folks are awesome, I had a blown head gasket on my 2006 Duramax LBZ Chevy 1 ton 4X4. They quoted a price and stuck to it, They kept in contact with me thru the whole process and explained what was going on with it and when it would be done. When it was returned to me the engine compartment looked better then when I brought it new. They take pride in what they do and your concerns are address. I highly recommend them !!!!!!!!! Thank You
Best shop I’ve ever taken my truck to.Won’t even take my truck to the dealership for warranty work. These guys saved me so much money by doing proper diagnosis instead of guessing at the problems. TY Domestic Diesel.
John and his techs are all extremely knowledgeable. Joselyn and Rupert are always very kind and thorough in their follow through. I wont trust my diesel to be serviced anywhere else. I have been going to John for over 7 years and still do for the expertise they provide even though it takes me over an hour to get to Chino.
John and his crew are STELLAR!!! Domestic Diesel provides services for my fiances auto transport trucks and they never disappoint. They are trustworthy, reliable, have competitive prices, and overall VERY COOL!! HANDS DOWN the BEST in the business!!! We wouldnt think of going elsewhere.
Hands down the best ford repair shop out there. They are so honest there and prices are unbeatable. No better place to Fix your ford then here. We are a forever customer. Thank you guys for all you do-J&E asphalt maintenance
Our go to place for the diesel. Did all the BULLET PROOF mods for our 6.0 Ford. And all services since. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. During all business hours they are great to answer questions by phone or advise their customers. Quick turnaround for all routine service but call first
I had the shop install bellowed up-pipes and a Wicked Wheel, and also fix an oil leak on my 2001 Excursion 7.3. I was initially told it would be the week after Thanksgiving. Rupert called me on the 26th, and said my parts were in and they cold get me in and done on the 27th. I dropped the vehicle off about 4:30 Tuesday afternoon, and my wife and 2-1//2 year old grandson picked me up. My grandson helped me do the brakes on his mothers car last month, and became fascinated by tools, tires, jacks, etc. John gave him (and us) a little tour of the back of the shop, and my grandson was in heaven!!! I cant thank the crew enough for their willingness to make his day!! Bob told me it was a 1/2 day project, and it was ready the next day, as promised. No issues, no excuses. Just done. The oil leak was the drain plug on the pan, and also there is a slight leak from the rear main seal. Bob said this would involve removal of the trans, and suggested we monitor the leak, as it is minor. Nice to deal with honest, caring people!! This is the 3rd time Ive used Domestic Diesel and DEFINITELY NOT the last time!! Thank you, Domestic Diesel!!!!
Its a wonderful thing to finally find an honest Auto/Diesel shop after having bad experiences prior to finding Domestic Diesel. The whole crew knows what they are doing and knows all makes and models of trucks.Thank you Domestic Diesel for your knowledge and professionalism.
This is the only shop I go to for my Diesel needs. They are honest and up front with you. They go above and beyond. They only recommend what you need and whats best for your truck. Recommended a friend today and he will be there tomorrow. Thanks Domestic Diesel, because of your great service this is the only shop for me.Dave.
My first time there, recommended by my neighbor . Just looking for honest quality work. I felt completely confident, they know diesels. Very friendly, patient, answered all my questions. The only place for my truck, cant thank my neighbor enough. thank you Domestic!
My first experience with Domestic Diesel and 100 percent positive. I took my 2003 Duramax in for injectors. Anyone that knows the LB7 motor knows what a pain they are. These guys did a great job and right on time! Price is right and service is great! Highly recommend.
Fast friendly and affordable shop. John goes out of his way to make your ride right. I bring my stuff from 2 hours away to them. Only shop Ill trust!
Took my excursion in and ended up needing injector cups replaced on the 7.3. Was very surprised how quickly they got to my truck and they found other problems and were very honest and took the time to answer my questions. I was extremely impressed with their quality of work and pricing was very reasonable. I cant say enough good things about this shop and i will be a returning customer for many years to come.
Ive been using domestic diesel for over 5 years they do great work. They are straightforward and honest. They will not upsell you on anything. Domestic works on all diesels however if you have a Ford this place is home base so dont waste your time anywhere else get your truck fixed right.
My experience with Domestic Diesel was very pleasant from the time I was greeted coming through the door by Jocelyn till the time I left. My service was diligent and at a fair price! I will continue to give them my business in the future.
My husband said they bulletproofed his 6.0 and installed a new turbo. He said the truck runs great and if you want it done right the first time, take it to Domestic Diesel. On 11-2, my husband went to Domestic Diesel as the Banks air filter that had been on the truck since 2008 was having an issue with the filter falling off. He took the stock air cleaner with and asked them if they could get him right away to swap the units. They got him in and swapped the units in a short while. Best shop!
These guys really know their business! Take your vehicle there with confidence.
Domestic Diesel is amazing. My Duramax had a surging problem. It was not caused by the typical replacement of the fuel pressure regulator. They did not give up until they found the problem. Very fair in how they bill for work, and great service, everyone is very knowledgable. They take great care of their customers!!
The only guys that touch my diesel. Do yourself a favor and take your truck to the guys as Domestic Diesel. They always take care of people the right way, with honest advice and fair prices.
These guys are the best. Their only concern is whats best for you and your truck. Totally understands your budget limits. A rare thing today.
Ive been going to Domestic Diesel for several years now and there is no other place I would let work on my trucks. If you need maintenance, have a specific problem, or just want to add some aftermarket toys, Domestic Diesel are friendly, fast, very reasonably priced and most importantly honest.
Always get me in & out as quick as they can. I drive 1 1/2 hours to get my trucks serviced right! Ive been to so many diesel mechanics that couldnt figure out what was wrong with my truck until Domestic.
I had a great experience with these mechanics. They quickly diagnosed the problem and made excellent recommendations. They replaced my EGR cooler, oil cooler, replaced 4 fuel injectors, and other minor things. It cost me a pretty penny, but I was pleased with their work. I will be returning for my futrure truck needs.
Pure integrity. Hard to find in a mechanic. No up sell. Just common sense repairs
Domestic Diesel has done a great job servicing my 2006 Ford F-250 Diesel for the past few years. They have done a complete overhaul of the truck engine and has been working great since. Everyone takes the time to review what needs to be done the truck and care what you think.
My go to place. I take my truck there when I need anything done to it. Great people.
My 2008 Ford Edge is the 2nd car weve trusted to Domestic Diesel. The motor for the air conditioning went out, and then the car wouldnt start and had to be jumped. I took it to Domestic Diesel and they replaced the air conditioning motor and the car battery within 2 hours. They could have tried to sell me much more expensive repairs, but they didnt. They didnt say I needed repairs that I didnt need. How wonderful to find an honest repair shop!
If your not taking your diesel here your not treating your diesel right. Give your diesel what you want from it....give it domestic.
Hands down the best diesel repair shop around! I only trust John and his guys at DD. If you want it done right, take your truck to Domestic Diesel!!
Best work for a reasonable price.Always keeps me on the road. These guys stay awesome.
Excellent! I got a used 2008 F350 with 6.4L diesel. There was an annoying exhaust leak and Domestic Diesel knew exactly what it was and how to fix it. The truck was down for a few days and they even stayed late to let me pick it up!Im a happy camper!
Best shop around, quality work, great service
DD did the head gaskets on my duramax. They are top notch.
Great work Fare prices Honest people
This review is long overdue. I was looking to get my 06 6.0 full Bulletproofed. Oil cooler, egr cooler, head studs, head gaskets. I looked up the preferred shops on the Bulletproof diesel website, and Dimestic Diesel was at the top of the list. I live in Las Vegas, NV. Domestic Diesel is a 5 hr. drive for me, but this is a big job, to be done only by the best, so with their great reviews this is where I decided to bring my truck. John and the crew at Domestic Diesel did an outstanding job on my truck! They are very easy to work with, communication was great. All of my questions were answered, and work was performed in a timely manner. Would I take my truck back? Hell yes! Ive taken it back for more upgrades. Bulletproof water pump, mechanical fan clutch conversion, leveling kit, exhaust. Domestic Diesel has all of my confidence, and I will continue to make the 5 hour drive for any of my diesel truck needs, upgrades or repairs to Domestic Diesel. Thanks Guys!
IF YOU OWN A DIESEL TRUCK, THIS IS THE PLACE TO TAKE IT TO!!!I purchased a 2005 For Excursion with the 6.0L diesel. After my purchase I started having some issues. My check engine light came on and the code was for the turbo. Low Boost Pressure. As I did more research on the 6.0L Powerstroke I soon figured out that my heads were about to blow. Probably why the guy wanted to sell the truck. He knew it was a major repair that would be big bucks to fix. Feeling pretty bad at this point I started looking for a shop that can address all the 6.0L issues once and for all.I spent 2 months researching and visiting many shops in different cities. I walked through the bays at each shop. I observed and asked question to the mechanics. I wanted to be sure that I take my truck to the best place possible. Finally I chose Domestic Diesel in Chino to repair my engine. I AM SO GLAD I DID!!! JOHN and JOSH seriously know what they are doing. John is a very honest man and backs up his work 100%. He is not going to up sell you on anything. as a matter of fact I wanted to do so many upgrades to my engine that he kept telling me (why?) (you dont need it.) (You are just wasting your money.) (If you really want it Ill put it on.) He would explain the pros and cons and why I do or dont need to do all the things I wanted to do. So if your new like me to the diesel world John and his guys will guide you and teach you all you need to know about your truck. I have learned so much from them. Thanks John for all that you do.I would like to give a SPECIAL THANKS to JOSH who is the mechanic who worked on my 2005 6.0L Diesel Ford Excursion. I can say with out a doubt Josh does excellent work. If you saw the engine work he did on my truck you would ask for him to work on yours. He always goes the extra mile to make me happy. He is very knowledgeable and he spends the time to go over the work that he is going to do. He even spends time to share his ideas that he has to make improvements. Josh is simply an Awesome Mechanic.
I recently had my first experience with Domestic Diesel and found my new shop for any future needs. My brother had used them and had nothing but glowing reviews. My reason for seeing them was to scan for any codes or issues with my frequent fuel filter changes on my 2008 Silverado. After preforming the scan he discovered a water in fuel code present. I had already changed out the fuel filter and installed a new Delco water fuel sensor. I had an after market Dorman sensor do to availability of Delco parts while on the road with a broken sensor wire, I asked the service tech why the code was still present after changing parts and re-setting the DIC. He told me sometimes it can take a few hundred miles for the computer to re-set.He cleared the code and and I was on my way. When I went inside to settle the bill I was told there was no charge because he really didn’t do anything. When was the last time you’ve heard of that. Ya 5 stars.
What can I say about Domestic Diesel John and all the guys there the best. Ive been a customer of theres for a few years now and I would not consider going anywhere else closer to wear I live and as they are just a little over 40 miles from where I live but the drive is worth my time because the work is good and the cost are more than fair. Ive learned about them from a tow truck driver while being towed to the local GMC dealer for repairs and because they would not be able to work on it for a week and the cost would be over $1000.00 that I decided to have it towed to Domestic Diesel and this was on a Friday and by Monday afternoon my truck was ready and best of all it was only half the price so since that time big or small there the ones I trust for all my truck repair needs and I would highly recommend them to anyone that ask. So to John and the gang thank you for all the great service and keep up the good works your friend Art Basulto.
Excellent work and truly honest, great shop!
Honest mechanic great customer service highly recommend for all diesel needs.
Very nice, knowledge people!
Ford dealer said I needed new head gaskets - Domestic Diesel determined it was just a faulty fan clutchI drove my 2007 F350 6.0L to pickup my ToyHauler and head for the desert. About 8 miles later the truck was overheating and was really hot! I turned around and after 3 stops to cool it off, I made it back to the RV storage yard. I dropped off the trailer and headed home (it did not overheat without the trailer attached). I took it to my local Ford dealer who after a week diagnosed it as a blown head gasket. I had experienced a blown head gasket with this engine several years ago and the symptoms were not the same but the Ford dealer insisted that I needed new head gaskets.I live in the West San Fernando Valley and searched for a good diesel shop. No luck, the only shop that had consistent positive reviews was Domestic Diesel in Chino (65 miles away). I called and spoke with John who agreed to check it out. He even came in on a Saturday so that my wife could follow me out and take me home. Two days later he called to let me know that he was sure that it was not my head gasket but a faulty fan clutch that was causing the overheating. He also let me know that I had a few bad injectors (which the Ford dealer also mentioned). John replaced the fan clutch and since his price to replace the injectors was significantly lower than the Ford dealer, I had him do that work as well.Last weekend I pickup up the trailer and headed out to Johnson Valley (almost 200 miles from my house). The truck drove great! The temp gauge never moved past dead center and the new injectors made a big difference in power.I highly recommend Domestic Diesel for their honest appraisal, great mechanical work, and a fair price.I am a very satisfied customer and when I do final blow those head gaskets, I will be returning for them to install a complete BulletProof kit.
I had my F250 service they were supposed to change the fuel filters oil they changed nothing because of the Bluetooth is not been changed and I can’t be at work I ended up changing fuel pump and fuel injectors and to top it off they took off my oil That goes on the valve covers and swapped it with an old one
Great service, excellent work with competitive pricing. I wont take my truck anywhere else.
Ok. its a long review. deal with it.initial impression...the man is fair, and does a good job.his mechanics are good....he comes highly recommended for 6.0L ford diesel work.i had BPD egr cooler, oil cooler, head studs, valve seats, and miscellaneous other stuff done... right at $10k total.the van is an expensive thing to work on... engine pulled, pan off, the whole thing.....it took longer than initially thought, but you cant installheads till the machine shop returns them, no matter howgood you are.... picked up the van today.... everythingseems pretty good...heres the deal... on our original scope of work, we weregonna do the fan clutch, as it needed replacement, andwhen he did the formal quote, he left it off the parts list..he put it on, cause it was needed, and when time cameto settle up the bill, there was no charge for it, as it washis omission... i offered to split the difference, and he saidno.....its a $500 part, guys. he keeps his word. ya gotta understand,i live a mile from a highly publicized diesel shop in huntington beach,as a matter of fact, i drove right past them on my way to chino,to have john do the work on my van.there is a reason. its a good one.UPDATE..... 11 months goes by, vans running good.... then it startsleaking oil... just a little..... then, a BUNCH.... i call up john, and askwhatchoo think it is? and he thinks its the o ring on the BPD oilcooler..... which it turns out to be..... so, i drag it in first thing in themorning, annoy folks in the back, and they pull the turbo to get tothe offending part.... and discover, there is a water leak where theBPD egr cooler mates to the intake manifold.... wasnt his fault, but we switched manifolds during last years rebuild, and the onewe used had a flaw.... chit happens. nobodys fault.john goes off to consult the tea leaves in the meditation room, andcomes back, and says hell warranty the whole thing, and rents mea truck, and picks up the tab.... and has his mechanic spend twocomplete days going thru my engine, refurbishes the turbo, newintake manifold, does some extra stuff i wanted done......pulled the sucky banks tuner off, before it trashed the transmission.i go to settle up, and the only charge is for some parts i wanted changed, just to be safe rather than sorry.why is this remarkable? the warranty was 12mo/12k miles.i was at 11 months, and 15k miles.i threw in a couple hundred extra, which his shop manager didnt wantto take, and he doesnt know it yet, but any electrical work his shop needsgets done gratis. im an electrical contractor. he has carte blanche with me.if after reading this, you go to another diesel shop, and you are within anhour of john, well.... you cant fix stupid. just sayin.this guy is as good as they get.
Not cheap but excellent service and quality repairs
Best around...got me goin fast
