Around July of this year my team and I were driving from Napa Ca to Longview Tx for a national competition I was scheduled to compete in. Unfortunately when we pulled into LA our vehicle overheated. We had 22 hours to complete this 16 hour drive and I thought we were absolutely screwed! Every mechanic in a 10 block radius was either absurdly overpriced or didnt offer service for our ford van. We ended up pushing the van a few blocks to aamco. The staff were extremely helpful, keeping the shop open overtime and getting a brand new part within ten minutes that they then installed in under 2 hours. getting us back on the road in time. They saved our summer and worked their butts off just to be good samaritans ... plus the wee extra for overtime ;) If you break down in the chino area, this is the place to go. 10/10
I took my car there on Sept 8 and just barely picked it up today for a FREE COURTESY CHECK. if I could rate _3 I would say thats accurate they are lazy and have zero communication I dont care if they dont have enough employees for there workload they could have told me that before they said they would look at my car. Theres no excuse for lazy. I would not recommend to my worst enemy. Beware.
Im coming back to update my review due to failed transmission repair (twice) . Spent about 4k on a full rebuild last year in the month of May that didnt even last about 7 thousand miles. I was greatful to have the warranty for the work. However, the vehicle was in their care for well over a month this time around yet sure enough, still same issue. They sent the vehicle out, so they dont do the repairs themselves, and they wouldnt even guarantee the work this time around. Dont go here if you genuinely have transmission issues. Had I known my experience would have turned out like this, I simply would have looked into purchasing a new vehicle.
Firestone sent me to you guys. These guys fixed in 15 minutes what Firestone couldnt in two days. Mike knew what it was before I handed the keys over!
DONT GO THERE, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE, THEY CHARGED MY COLLEGE STUDENT DAUGHTER, $1400 AND THE VEHICLE WAS STILL RUNNING ROUGH JUST LIKE WHEN IT WAS DROPPED OFF, DONT WAIST YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY WITH THIS KIND OF CROOKED SHOP, PAY A LITTLE EXTRA MONEY SOME WHERE ELSE AND GET IT FIXED RIGHT, THEY KEPT HER CAR FOR TWO MONTHS AND COULD NEVER GET IT FIXED.
Had my truck towed here for transmission issues. There was no follow up from anyone at the shop, I had to call several times before finding out anything. The manager told me it would be $895 to take it apart to find the problem and the cost would be $3500 - $5000, so I asked about a used replacement instead of a rebuild, the manager said he would get back to me but never did. Every day I would call, he would say he would call me back. All communication was initiated by me, the shop never called nor gave me a price on a used transmission. I had truck towed to another shop & got the rebuild done for $2800
Let me tell you. . . This place is Amazing! They are the most professional and caring people I know! Micheal went above and beyond! He made me feel like family. These guys know how to treat a fella. Thanks AAMCO! We Family Now!
A great price and they got everything done quickly
February had my transmission rebuild now 6 months later they are rebult again poor quality work
This place is amazing! Our car had transmission issue, we called many transmission shops from Ontario to Garden Grove. This AAMCO was the most friendly. We took our car here for a free inspection. Upon talking to Michael, we felt their technicians are very professional, so we decided to trust them with our car. We couldnt be happier with our decision. The car now runs perfect, the cost is reasonable, and they offer warranty for their work! We can now have peace of mind. This is one of our best experiences in regards to mechanics.
JJ The shop manager is super honest and knowledgeable. Really took care of me. Highly recommend 👌
Honest clean quick. Everything you want when you arent sure what you need. Great Service.
Great guys great work as long as you have 2 months for them to repair your cat
Always very affordable and helpful!
Michael who is the shop owner is a man of integrity. I have to start off by stating that because there are few people in this world with that quality. My 2013 Toyota Tacoma transmission was done. Jeff who happened to be the gentleman that provided me the initial quote was also a stellar guy. Of course transmissions are never easy to work on, but I got my truck back in about a little over a week. The price was fair and the service was great. I will definitely use their services again.
Love this place!! Got the best service and I would recommend this place to any lady because they didnt mansplan and were honest about the problem and plan to fix it!
Michael and JJ were great to work with. Unfortunately, my truck had an issue and needed the transmission to be replaced or rebuilt. After first dealing with the dealership I decided to go to AAMCO to get a second opinion and bid for the work to be done. JJ was upfront and honest the entire time and went above and beyond to make the process very smooth. I decided to have them complete the work and could not be more happy with my decision. I am done with the dealerships and will be going back to AAMCO next time I have an issue.
*The service was Amazing.*They got a whole new transmission job done in 4 days.*Everyone that works there is very knowledgeable.*Very helpful and felt like All Around Good People.*Look forward to going back for more service in their future.
Didnt end up going there but when I called the company, they where nice nd straight forward
I dont think I have ever written a review but had to make an exception. Its hard to find a honest mechanic now adays. I found one in AAMCO. I took my car to another mechanic and they wanted to charge me $1400 I decided to stop AAMCO and after looking at my car they said it was just a blown fuse. NO CHARGE! They just earned a customer for life. Mike the manger very professional. THANK AAMCO!
Took my car to the VW dealership and they wanted 8k+ to replace my transmission & clutch I called AAMCO just to get a phone estimate, they told me to bring it in for a free inspection to see if both parts needed to be replaced, after a day they found out that only the clutch needed replacing and only 2k to do the job. They fix it an no problem since will be taking my car here for any problems before I take it to the VW dealership. Very friendly staff as well.
Ive always been skeptical of car shops and rightly so as Ive had bad experiences with them in the past, however right from the get go, AAMCO was different. I walked because I needed my transmission checked out and was told it was completely free, but skeptical as always, I must have asked the owner about 20 times if it was truly free, you think he would have gotten annoyed but instead he reassured me each time and lo and behold everything was free. The service was without a doubt the most honest Ive seen from any shop and very friendly and I got my car back the same day, turns out it was fine, and they didnt try to rip me off and try to sell me another transmission like another shop would have. Im grateful.
JJ got in done. Good repair.
They helped me determine if I wanted to fix or buy a new car
The team at Chino AAMCO was completely amazing from the first phone call to picking up my car after my transmission was FIXED. Michael and Jeffery were fantastic and professional. I 100% recommend Chino AAMCO!!! Thank you much guys!!!
My first time going to this location. I had my front brakes and rotors replaced this morning while I waited. Also got an oil change at the same time. It took a few hours, which included having to get the parts from the dealer. Richard, the service manager was great. Very friendly and knowledgeable and the final cost was less than he quoted. I’ll definitely take my business there again. Thanks Richard.
Thank you very much Michael Huang and Team of AAMCO CHINO. I just migrated from the Philippines and bought an old car ( 2000 model ) . I was looking for a car shop who I could trust. A well known tire and lube shop referred me to AAMCO CHINO. They repaired my transmission and after the 10 day post repair check they called me again after a month to check on how the car was doing.Thank you very much for your Honesty, for being trustworthy and for you expertise.Customer service is great. Ill being going back for my car maintenance needs. From an Appreciative customer.
Michael was very helpful to me from the day I walked into the office! I thank you so much
Awesome place the shop owner is amazing. Deff recommended for fair price and honest work !
These is the first time I came to the AAMCO for my 2007 suburban truck. My transmission stop working. They were able to offer free towing which saved us money. In the end it did cost 3,000. The guy that helped us out was Micheals very friendly. Helped explain everything on the truck. They even had a 10 day period were we come back and make sure everything was ok. Loved the service would recommend and come back. Left happy.
Great customer service and no bs.
Beware of their warranty coverage. I had my 04 Envoy transmission rebuilt early December of 2015 at the AAMCO location in Chino, CA. This came with a 2 year or 24000 mile warranty. I was happy with the repair until 3/12/17 when the transmission started to act up. I brought the vehicle in the next morning expecting things to be taken care of under the warranty. Rob Paredes (Store Manager) calls me and says there is something going in there and the transmission has to be removed for further inspection. Due to me being 49 miles over the warranty I would be charged to remove the transmission, with assurance they would work with me on parts. He would not budge on this, just saying he understands. I can’t believe that they would charge me with the failure occurring literally the day after the warranty runs out. What kind of company does that? I am basically expected to pay for another transmission rebuild that will only last a day past the warranty. This is terrible customer service and there is no way I would spend another dime there or recommend their service to anyone. Maybe one customer does not matter to them, but had they simply honored the warranty I would have remained happy with the knowledge they take care of their customers. I urge anyone reading this to look elsewhere for a company that will take care of their customers.
This was the best experience with a mechanic Ive ever had, they explained exactly what they were going to do and how much it was no more no less then what said and problem solved. Thank you for your service.
Caution beware! Trained to sell and trap you into having no choice but to pay them to get your car back! Not much knowledge in car repairs
The main guy in here checked my car out, heard my concerns, and routed me towards the best opportunity for me. Which was leaving with my money in my pockets and going to the dealer and using my warranty that i thought was completed.A business with integrity and honesty is a business Id return to and tell others about.
Id like to give special thank you to Michael the manager of this aamco location. The main reason I chose to do business here was because of his genuine sense of being and wanting to help you get your vehicle in proper running order at the best rate. I was in a really tight bind money wise at the time and he truly helped me out in many ways by finding the best price he can get me and set me up with a payment plan that helped me avoid interest and truly saved me from a bad situation had I gone anywhere else even another aamco. Michael treats you like family and is the difference between a great business you want to return and send others who need vehicle service. Thank you again, continue the good honest work over there its hard to come by.
I was treated with respect and honesty. Michael went above and beyond to help me get my financing. My 05 Civic runs like its new. Great people. Love this shop. They have my loyalty.
Had a transmission rebuilt on my Dodge Ram, was suppose to be a total rebuild( hard and soft parts) with a warranty of only 24 months or 24000 miles. The rebuild lasted 25xxx miles, and the shop its in now, showed me that they reused some of the old parts from the original transmission. Prior to this, the transmission leaked oil, had that repaired at no cost under warranty, it started to slip again, something was fixed but was not told what, repaired under warranty. Overall, for the price of $2800.00, i feel it was a poor job, would not recommenced this shop.
1 year ago Never fixed my vehicle 1700 later they still guessing what the issues were.Owner should be removed from aamco if you dont know what your doing dont rip people off
Michael was very informative and did a fast job with my transmission. I satisfied with his work
This Aamco shop has been taking care of my ‘03 Toyota Sequoia for a few years now. They are alway courteous and professional and explain what is needed. Thanks to Jeff and Michael for getting my vehicle back on the road.
My first time and I was incredibly pleased...other places take advantage of women not here their honest and explain everything to you..car runs like new..Ladies they are trustworthy..I will recommend this place to all women
Michael and Jeffery really help me out, they took their time and analyzed any complication my car was giving me . Really recommend Aamco, it was a great experience.!!!
Great service!! I always refer friends to Aamco in chino. They take care of their customers. They are straight forward. No suprises. I take all my vehicles to Aamco in Chino. Keep up the great work!!!
Chad is awesome. He fixed my clutch and had it done in one day. My Honda runs like new again. They even gave me a lift home when I dropped it off.
Excellent service. Took my 1996 Toyota 4Runner for transmission leak, Richard Manager of AAMCO, had the issue taken care of . Great service and would definitely take my car back .
Ron..the master technician here is one of the most professional and honest mechanics I have ever dealt with. I work in the automotive industry at several big car dealerships and I have found that this location with their complementary engine light reading diagnostic is so honest and very upright.
When all hope was lost AAMCO came to the rescued! I know I sounds cheesey but its true ! 09 caddy (purple) is back like never before. Had an engine put in, in NY (where Im from ) nightmare! AAMCO put in computer work and Im back 🤗
Great service, Manager Mike was so helpful and considerate on pricing and trying to find the best options for my car. Definitely will come back for all my car needs
Great customer service. I needed a new transmission for awhile on my Chevy suv. I tried this place because of the reviews. My truck runs great and it didnt cost as much as I was quoted from a few other places. I recommend this shop for sure. The lady at the counter helped me get some financing which helped a lot.
I wanna thank micheal and his team of associates for helping me get places with my truck they did an amazing job on my gym Sierra 2500hd they rebuilt the transmission and even went out of their way to stay late to have my keys in my hand after they had already closed great place to have your car or truck worked on
Thank you sooo much for always making sure my car is taking car of in a professional and timely matter!!! Thanks Michael for always giving amazing customer service!!!
Thank you Michael Huang. Michael treats you like family and gives you a straight answer. Thank you again and I’ll be coming back again.
Excellent service done. They found the issue that Toyota could not and fixed it in short order. I will do all car maintenance at Aamco
Great service. Kind and courteous.
Excellent service. Honest and professional.
Michael was a blessing. He helped get me financed. My car runs like new. Thank you Michael.
Great service friendly
Took my car in thought I was my transmission but it turned out to be something else. Very pleased with the work they did and Michael was very helpful.
My wifes Honda CRV broke down in Diamond Bar and she stated that the transmission just stopped. We contacted a few shops and she said she was impresses with the manager at the Chino Aamco. He said he could tow it in and inspect it for free. After inspection we found out that the transmission was not broke but the axle had popped out of the the transmission and a new one would take care of the issue. We went from 1 shop quoting us $2500.00 to only spending $750.00 and that included some brake work. These guys ae the best.
New management I am really happy Im back at Emco and should have never taken my 88 Blazer to any other mechanic JJ is a new manager and his crew is still the season staff and I am just very happy with the work and the pricing I would go online checkout coupons they do free estimates to just analyze the car and then theyll give you pricing I give them 5 stars
Good service. Nice staff. Your car is in good hands here.
Went in thinking I needed the trans rebuilt on my 2004 Dodge Ram. They went the extra step to make sure what exactly was needed (not a rebuild) and saved me a lot of money.
Honest people and they let you know what problems your having with your vehicle and your options that you have to fix it
Very honest repair center
Thank you for your reliability honesty and well-done work, it is hard to find a reliable shop with a great personnel and expertise in a variety of services from transmissions to engine repairs, Congratulations to all the technicians and office personnel, for yourkindness and honesty,Two thumps -up for CHAD & PERSONNEL
Very happy with this place! New manager is a great guy and very happy with the work done .
This is going to be my new repair shop!..... I brought my care in thinking it had a bad transmission. Expecting the worse, Aamco called me back, telling me I had a bad catalytic converter.I called the dealer to get the price of the part, since I am a shopper, Chat at Aamco charged me exactly what the dealer quoted for the part. They were so polite and helpful at explaining the technical terminology to me....I feel I can trust them for all my repairs in the future.
This aamco is under new management and new ownership and is worse than it was before. I have lived in chino for 31 years and my experience was horrible, I should have gone with my gut, stay away go to other local actual transmission shops, and if you still are considering using them google aamco take a look at how many lawsuits and horrible cases they have against them unfortunately I got hooked by the radio commercials and big name brand and had to find out the hard way please read this than stay away.I had my transmission rebuilt june of last year for 1900 dollars at a discounted rate due to a referral fee still over priced, with a 1 year warranty, I was told I could not receive an extended warranty due to my vehicle being 4 wheel drive, but was offered an 18 month warranty after the transmission went out the third time at exactly a year, for an additional 1500 dollars because I was 3000 miles over the 12 month 12000 mile warranty, even though the transmission had gone out within the warranty period 5 months after the first time it was rebuilt, the manager at that time Mike was very helpful and professional and restored what little faith in this nationwide brand that I had thinking ok this time it was rebuilt right, but no it goes out the third time at exactly a year and of course mike is no longer with them and new management and new ownership. Now they are claiming negligence on my part and giving me a new diagnostic as of why, which should have been found the first, or second time, and a written diagnostic should have been giving those times just like it was this time, but no now they want me to pay an additional 15000 with an 18 month warranty which wasnt offered the first or second time, or 1000 with no warranty I asked for a 1000 with a 12 month warranty seems how the thing went out three times in a year and they said no, which tells me they have no clue what theyre doing because people go to aamco for the warranty and supposed transmission expertise, or I was offered for them to put in a used transmission, what kind of transmission specialist offers a used transmission that hasnt been rebuilt, and or wont budge or help to make things right on a transmission that went out 3 times within a year with barely 3000 miles over, ones that dont believe in their craft, ones that dont take pride in their work, and ones that dont care about there customers or their customers vehicles, ones that wont do whatever it takes to fix something they should have fixed multiple times, and make it right, just ones that care about the all mighty dollar burn em and turn em. I contacted corporate no help also please please save yourself some money and headaches and wondering if maybe they did their job the right way the first time, dont go with this big name brand because thats all they are. Do your Homework first wish i would have and i normally do.
Our transmission went out in our Pacific Crystler. I took it to our regular shop where they were only going to give me a 6 month or 6,000 mile warranty. Aamco in Chino doubled the warranty. The repair was done quickly. When it made a little noise after the repair, Chad was eager to take a look and fine tune the programming to eliminate the problem.I have since then brought the car back for brakes, and other non transmission repairs. I feel confident that Chads repairs are carefully evaluated (avoiding unnessesary repair $$$) and that confident that he will stand by his work. An honest and very service oriented shop!
Great service!!
These guys worked on both my dads car and my truck. They did bamawsome job on my transmission and I had my dad take his car in for his ck endine light is one. I will recomend these guys to anyone!!
Michael did a great job
I call yesterday ti ask them if the could do a diagnoise on my 1991 chrysler, he said ya but it would take a few hours but he could definitely give me an answer today, so i dropped it off at 11am, didnt hear from them so at 4 i called, he said he didnt have an answer yet but he would have a diagnoise soon... So i verfied that they closed at 5 and that he would call ke before then. He said yes. At 455 i called him. He said he was just calling me. And that they could diagnoise my car today because the need to get a diagnoistic machine for cars before 1996. Which i discovered that there are 2 different types of machines. But why dont they have both. And why did it take him 6 hours to figure it out. Well i dont care what diagnoises they give me now. I wont be letting this idiot anywhere near my car after that bs.
New Manage J.J. Is very rude man. go further from this place, you will be deceived.
Waited weeks for a quote that never materialized. Terrible follow up
Worst customer service. Car sat for 5 hours till they looked at it. Then when we got it back it did start now, but now it also sounded awful. Never going back to this AAMCO again. To bad I can not give less than 1 star, cause they suck.
Ripoff...Ill never go back
THIS IS THE PLACE YOU NEED TO GO THEY JUMPED THROUGH HOOPS FOR ME !
Honest and reliable establishment
The mechanic hasnt learned to put a mat on my carpet so I got a huge grease print to remove, but more than one.
If you want to waste your time and money this is place for you.
