This was the second time that I have been standing at a cash register with the light on and the clerk was a short distance from the register talking to somebody. If they cannot end the conversation to help a paying customer, then at least acknowledge the customer. There are far too many options in Chico. Absolutely no need to stand around and be ignored/insulted, especially when you are getting ready to drop a hundred dollars or more.

My husband had knee replacement surgery and in need of an ice pack. This was my third store…apparently Covid has interrupted ice pack supply as well. The extremely friendly and helpful woman in the pharmacy came out. She must have spent 10 minutes with me, and we found something that would work. As I was checking out, I asked a more medical question and she turned me over to William Young, the pharmacist. I asked him many questions about the different things my husband has to take, and he took the time to explain how they all work and work together. I was so impressed with these two individuals…truly a friendly and helpful experience.

The staff in the pharmacy are warm and friendly and very knowledgeable. I like how Lisa is quick to remember the names of patients and Benjamin explains things in a very understandable way. This is the best pharmacy I have used

People nice only why have 2 stars. This is the third time getting produce here and meats each time something wrong this last time pork chops were bad the precut cantaloupe was slimey the carrots in container were bad with dried celery i will no longer shop here loosing too much money on bad food.

A fairly cheap place to get all your grocery needs

Save Mart has some good deals. Can be high on some stuff as most stores but it has a great veriety. Has good quality Items and great deals. Sometimes they do a 5 for 5 deal Im going to check out next. Yay!

I stopped shopping at SavMart last year because it was getting so expensive. I went there yesterday and was surprised at all the decent sales they had. Will definitely be giving them another chance for smaller shopping trips.

Save-Mart fills a need. It just might be me, seems like the excitement, the demeanor, the ambiance is swirling down the drain.. one thing that I have come to expect is spending more and taking home less. Theres a lot of room for improvement.

Went to Save Mart in Chico to get my second Coronavirus shot for walk ins, went to the Pharmacy and asked the Pharmacist for a Moderna vaccine, They want to know if I had insurance and fill out a form, The form asked for a social security number, Gave it back to the Pharmacist and he told me they only had 2 people signed up and they needed 7 people to open a vial, I drove down from the mountains 70 miles to told to come back during the week, This is impossible since I work in the Backcountry of a park, And camp for work, Asked the Pharmacist for my Vaccination card back and left, went to Jackson county and went to the expo and was vaccinated in 5 minutes, I spent 5 minutes filling there form out and was not able to be vaccinated at Save Mart

Great community store.

I had the most pleasant interaction with Jan at the service desk. She was so kind to offer me a mask and when I explained I had a medical condition that prevented me from wearing one she was just as kind in her response. This is not always the case but Jan made sure that she was Professional, respectful, and courteous.

Found what we were looking for. Used the self checkout and was out of there fast.

If there wasnt always room for improvement on anything or anyone. The service quality. Great Staff. Otherwise I would give it a 5. Great prices....!!!! $$

Not my normal store for bulk grocery shopping. But one of my fav spots for the specialty items that are harder to find...like Envy apples! And its almost certain they got a hot seal going on something good...like BOGO free London Broil steak and Pork Loin.

Such a clean beautiful store with really great deals. Can be fairly pricey in some departments but lots of good product. Soon theyre opening a grilled meat section when you choose your cut and seasonings and they cook it up while u shop! So cool

Small but well stocked

It is a convenient store, well stocked deli and it has a lot of higher end items that cant be found at larger bulk item stores, it also has very pleasant employees.

A good selection of products, although I miss their butcher shop, great peppered bacon! Prices can be a little higher, but not too high. Overall, its a clean and usually well stocked store, also all of the people who work there are usually very friendly and helpful

I am content that this is the grocery store I live nearest to; theres a nice vegan selection and they have the basics. Theres produce, and both cashier and self checkout. Its not the cheapest place and doesnt have the largest selection, but its a good option and its enough to take care of most my needs, between occasional trips to other stores. It also has better a hygiene/cleaning product selection than a lot of grocery stores, which can save you a trip.

I love Savemart, I shop here often due to the quality and availability of products as well as the reasonable prices. I love that they try to source as much of their inventory as possible from local vendors and farms. Their promotions and contests are unrivaled as the prizes are real and attainable and typically things I need or want. The store itself is always clean and well stocked with some of the friendliest staff that Ive ever encountered. The only reason that this is 4 star and not 5 is because the layout of the store is odd and confusing otherwise this is absolutely my go to store.

My 16 year old grand daughter applied for a job at the East Avenue store in Chico California. She supplied all the necessary documents, including a work permit, and was told by a woman named Debbie, that she was hired. However, she did not hear back from the store after that.My grand daughter attempted to contact Debbie numerous times, but was unable to reach her. However, after about a month, my grand daughter was able to reach Debbie who apologized saying that she had forgotten about her. My grand daughter was asked to once again provide a work permit, which she did, and was told, once again, that she had the job.Debbie was supposed to call Aliyah the follow Monday to let her know what time to come in for training.However, my grand daughter did not hear from her so called and was told that Debbie was not there that day. She called the following day and spoke to Debbie who told her that the store manager, Jorge, decided he wasn’t sure if he needed her anymore.My grand daughter is working very hard to become independent and was so excited to have gotten a job. However, she was completely devastated and heart broken to be told she was hired, twice, just to end up being told she wasn’t wanted.What that store manager did was absolutely wrong, very unprofessional and borders on emotional abuse. Both Jorge and Debbie should be fired, or at the very least, go through formal training on honesty, integrity and human kindness.I will never shop at Save Mart again!!!

I enjoy the Savemart staff. They tend to always have a smile on their face. They have several front clerks that know my mother and I by name, and vise versa. They do cash state payroll checks (such as IHSS). The store is very well kept and they are doing their part in keeping things sanitary during this pandemic.

Went to Save Mart to get some Fried Chicken. I stood in front of the Deli counter all alone for about 5 minutes. Several Deli employees walked back and forth. Not one of them acknowledged me. Thats when I discovered I have the gift of becoming invisible :-)

Everything of their brand or their deli, bakery; etc. Is of very poor quality. Even the pharmacy doesnt carry the latest in over the counter drugs. The small amount of savings is not worth it!

I love self check out, and the employees are actually really great about asking me if Im finding everything. I love that too!.. So many places dont do that, and I consider close attention to those keeping places in business, the customers, of paramount importance.. Save Mart gets an A+ in that department, from me. :)

So last weekend was my sons birthday party. When we went to the store my cake had not been made. I ordered online on there website to have his cake made. When submitting an order online, it goes to the manger (or whoever) and then they submit it to the bakery, which wasn’t done(the baker told me this was the process). Now at first I was EXTREMELY upset. It was a hour away from the party and they didn’t have any boy themed birthday cakes available. The girl working in the bakery that day was being as sweet as she could have possible been and got the manger right away. When Ben (manager I presume) approached us, apologized & he told us to get any two cakes we wanted and a huge tub of ice cream!! FREE OF CHARGE!!! The workers kept saying how sorry they were. When we went to check out they asked if we needed anything else for the party. Like ice, candy, etc. They stated they wanted us to leave happy. Which we did. They definitely made it right and they will DEFINITELY be keeping our business because of this. Mistakes happen and they definitely owned up to theirs and did whatever they could do to fix the problem. I would give more than 5 starts if possible. BUT note to self and all future cake buyers...go in the store to order the cake. 😂 First and last time I’ll ever be ordering online thru a bakery.

Great place to get what I need. Typically fast lines and plenty of lanes open! I just wish they would bring back the 3 baby back rib pack. Its was like a buy 2 get 1 free. I used to buy up to 4 packs at a time and throw some epic rib cook offs with the fellas.

I have always liked this Save Mart. Butcher shop always cuts my favorite meats with a smile. The people are knowledgeable and polite. Sometimes it gets pretty busy but they usually open another lane quickly.

Save Mart is always clean and bright!! And they usually have a nice display as you enter the store. I really like the layout of the store as it seems to me i have plenty of room to push my cart around without feeling like I might inadvertantly side swipe some one..The cashiers are friendly enough and theres plenty of parking....

Just a pretty great store and its official they had a cart in the front that had items priced there and priced at Raleys across the street. Those items cost $113.00 there and $126.00 at Raleys a savings of 10 percent. Best store on this side of town. The stuff that comes out of the Deli has always been great too!!!😁😀

Good service. Decent prices, for stuff you dont buy at big discount club stores. Store needs more upgrades to perk it up a bit...flooring, lighting..etc.

Only a few workers had their masks over their noses. Masks are meant to be worn over the nose and mouth, not just the mouth.

Probably the best Supermarket in town. Fantasic weekly and some longer deals. Some of the best meat/fish counter in any of them as well. Their butchery is top 3 (not including S&S or Chico Meat Locker)

Nice grocery store option on this side of town. Always find great deals on meat and has a nice produce area, but missing a few of the other things I always seem to need. Staff is very helpful.
