One of my favorite stops here in Downtown Chico! I love to come in here and admire their display art. The workers are very down to earth and their coffee + pastry-selections are the absolute best. Highly recommend their matcha lattes, cold brew, and chai tea lattes. A very good place to stop and buy a cup of coffee with some friends.

Love this place so much. My favorite place to go and relax with a kombucha or a delicious coffee. The atmosphere is just amazing and super friendly staff. They also have a grilled peanut butter and jelly sandwich haha.

Staple downtown coffee shop with all the basics for your caffeine needs. Good virus protocol and plenty of outdoor seating extended into the street. Always awesome at up on the walls that is usually for sale. They had had live music in the evenings before the pandemic and they were well attended. I usually get a mocha of some sort and its always tasty and pretty with some foam design. Get Naked today!

I have been coming to this shop since it opened about 20 years ago. Despite changes in ownership, the coffee is always excellent. The staff are consistently warm, knowledgeable, and friendly. Local art works hang on the walls. The Lounge has a college-vibe, but people of all ages come to hang out, study, work, play, and enjoy a true community setting.The building has to be 100 years old and is a bit rustic--you wont confuse it with a sparkling new Starbucks. The music selections are sort of all over the map because the baristas all have their favorite genres, so maybe bring headphones and your own music.

First time customer today, I was recommended the white mocha, it was so good! Will be returning again!

Their house coffee is so good. The environment and ambiance is always delightful. I love seeing the ever-changing art on the walls. They know how to keep the place from getting stale. The Bowl of Soul is my absolute favorite thing on their menu.

Great coffee here every time, with a really chill vibe. The location is perfect for grabbing a drink and then walking around downtown.

Hipster coffee shop. The wife and I hit it up when we go to Chico every time. Its hipstery and pretentious, and thats what we love about it. The people watching there is top notch, and the coffee is really good.

Baristas are great. Cafe feels run down. Prices are too high. Tables and seating is uncomfortable and / or cramped. Not enough outlets to plug in, But the coffee is really good. 🤔 I want to like this place more, but I get a better cafe experience elsewhere. Its like youre paying Bay area prices and getting a shabby uncomfortable place to sit.

This spot is super chill and lively. Great for studying. Bring your sketchbook and watercolors! I spent some time looking through one of the sketchbooks under the coffee table. Highly recommend stopping through here.

Its one of the few authentic atmospheres for the connoisseur of the modern hipster genre. Theres actually naked art on the walls fairly often, if you like naked art. I do get quite sleepy every time I come in here, much to the detriment of my reading plans. But the coffee is tasty and the hot chocolate...well, lets just say this is the best place to get hot chocolate in Chico. The wood flooring, antique furniture, low lighting, and friendly staff make it a fun experience.

Small local coffee shop, doesnt look like the cleanest place especially with worn furniture and some old couches for seating. Coffee seemed decent with decent options. Definitely a hipster and hippie type vibe from the employees to the clientele.

Great local coffee shop in the Downtown Chico area. I enjoy when they play music such as Minus the Bear, Jurassic 5, and Broken Social Scene. It is a great environment to do homework, especially group work! The peppermint mocha is worth a try as well around the holiday season. One thing I see as a downfall is how quickly the seats will be taken, make sure to show up around a good time!

A great place for coffee and local music. Seating is limited during peak hours but you can usually find a place to sit and study if you stick around for a bit. They have a small but quality beer rotation and a large selection of non-alcoholic beverages. There is always interesting art on the walls as well!

I have never had a good experience here. Over the past three years Ive been in, and as the owners have changed around a few times in that period, I feel the quality and customer service has gotten worse.Just one experience: I ordered a vanilla latte and they put condensed milk in it (by mistake Im assuming because the next time I came in and asked if they put that in there and she rudely answered me that no, we wouldnt do that - well, you did) and when I went to correct the drink it took forever to get their attention at the bar and the Batista straight up gave me the stink eye when the girl running the register told him near the back to remake my drink. Not okay! The customers hear and see FAR more than you think, guys!They also recently painted over the amazing mural of John Bidwell to allow a rotation of artists to come in and paint on the walls. That was my last straw because it was so charming and brought in a Chico feel. The facade doesnt blend in well with downtown anymore and the business does not have that Chico charm - warm and welcoming atmosphere with good customer service. They act so snooty to me every time Im in there yet theyve never given me a good enough cup of coffee for me to justify their behavior.Ugh- sorry. This is long and vent-like but Ive been avoiding reviewing them for so long because I really wanted to leave a good review the past few years and Ive been so disappointed by them because theyre supposed to be the artisan/hipster place in town, and they really just arent.

This place never disappoints. Always consistent and always good. I usually order an extra dry cappuccino and its always done correctly. Love this place.

This is Chicos late-night hipster hangout. The coffee is burnt. Dont even think of getting tea and there arent any snacks worth mentioning. The lighting is dim with couch seating and little table nooks with hanging spots and bad modern art on the wall. On the sidewalk are the goth tables. They probably arent really reserved for goths but theres always a few sitting there smoking.The staff makes an effort. Ill give them that.

A little pricey for coffee on a young adults budget considering their latte only comes standard with 2 shots of espresso, but I come anyways because the quality is unbeatable! Their syrups are homemade, and they have unique coffee drinks you wont find anywhere in town, as well as kombucha on tap and nitro cold brea.The lounge area is great for studying and meeting friends, and the atmosphere is lovely. The staff are great and very informative.

Things have changed. They unpredictablely close early and give you little to no warning before telling you to leave. They reopen later in the night with live music. Coffee is still good, new menu items, and they have beer now. This is becoming less of a coffee shop and more of a bar.

Killer atmosphere and a great supporter of local music. Staff is friendly, WiFi is available, and they have some unique drinks. Very causal and relaxing atmosphere. You might stick out though if youre not between the ages of 20-24 or look borderline homeless; typical coffeehouse regulars. The sitting is limited to like 80% thirty year-old couches however, so can be a bit difficult to find a good space when its busier. The coffee is good as well.Highly recommend checking it out. Honorary 5th star just for the Cuphead art out front. Legendary.

Love the people and place, but it loses a star for closing so early and frequently closing early with no warning for events, disrupting its reliability for long work sessions.

I had an artist I manage try to book a show there. Communication was terrible. Responses from the venue took 3 days to arrive each time. The artist had a back and forth thread over 15 emails long attempting to come to an agreement on a date. Every time the booker mentioned that a date was free, wed say ok, great lets do it, 3 days later, Sorry guys already booked, any other dates work?. We even got to a point where the booker said we were confirmed for a date only to be later told My bad! I double booked, any other dates work?. After countless back and forth emails of this manner we just flat out gave up and stopped wasting our time with such a poorly managed booking process. Naked Lounge used to be such an easy place to set up a show.

The vibe I get from this place is Mental illness. Who puts scolded hot stuff in a glass?As a prophet this place is full of witchcraft and demonic ideology, this business is not blessed not will it be around long. It caters to the darken mind and hurting heard. Jesus came to seek and save the lost, you tried everything else ungodly now its time to come out of your rebellion and turn to Jesus. Deliverance is for the desperate and heading for the humble.

Im a little biased: I work here. Voted Best Barista of 2017 (by my mom).Naked Lounge is a great place to hang out for homework, reading, or to chat with some of Chicos downtown locals. Some people have been coming here every day for over six years.The coffee has improved exponentially in the past year and I say confidently that we have some of the best in town. The owners are the roastmasters and they only source high quality, organic, single origin, beans. Fair trade whenever available.Every month we have a local artist hang their work. For many, its the first time their work has been displayed publicly. Art openings and receptions are a regular affair.On top of all that, we now serve beer. During the weekly live music events, the beer flows and the house is alive. Everything from punk rock to hip hop, acoustic jazz to experimental synth looping on a vibraphone, with local and touring acts from as far as Seattle and LA.The Lounge is more than my workplace. Its the living room of Chico. Its my home.

Used to be good and then something changed. Even the usual coffee I got was no longer good. Bummer.

Its a cool place to chill and relax, and I enjoy supporting local businesses, but this place needs a serious remodeling. I understand that they are going for a rustic, hippy, chill place, but its just too dirty here. The couches are definitely worn out, and need to be tossed. It looks like they found them from the landfill. The one in the back is falling apart. I dont understand why they never updated the flooring in this place. some of it is tile that is breaking apart, making the tables in the front very shaky. I almost spilled my coffee all over my homework after bumping one. I usually judge a restaurant on the cleanliness of their bathroom, and out of a 1-10 scale Id give this one a 4. Its pretty nasty, wonder what the kitchen looks like. The door is the wrong size, and the lock is a hook. Your charging almost $5 for coffee and you cant reinvest it in the business itself. Also there and fruit flys that never go away, they seem to like the toilet. Recently it seems that they chased out the homeless panhandling out front, which is a good thing. Petes coffee just closed down the street, and I feel its because no one wants to go to coffee and hang out with all of Chicos homeless. At this point Id rather go to Starbux, at least its clean.
