A great experience all around. They diagnosed the issue quickly and followed that up with clear and prompt communication, realized that the issue was still covered by my warranty, didnt charge me anything, AND delivered the vehicle to the dealership for service when I told them I was working out of town and couldnt do it myself. Absolutely above and beyond. I couldnt be more pleased with how they handled the situation. I will be going to Gilbert and his crew for all my future car needs.

Several lights on my new car came on, and the brakes were not working properly. I limped the car into Superior, and despite not having an appointment, they diagnosed the problem that day, let me know the needed repair would be covered by my warranty and recommended I take it to the dealership. I appreciated how quickly they diagnosed the issue. They were extremely helpful and honest.

They were friendly and courteous to everyone who entered the business while I was there. They were also fast and economical. I was in and out in less than 25 minutes for a smog cert. I will definitely go back to them again.

Ive used Superior Auto clinic twice now and Ive got to say they have done very well under difficult circumstances. Both times I brought in difficult repairs. They were professional, courteous, and thorough. The second repair I could be described as a nightmare repair because it required removing the transmission just to get to the place where they had the repair.The second time they also came in under budget.Compared to some of the dealerships in town these guys are far and above. I wouldnt hesitate to take my vehicle there again. Highly recommended.

I had recently moved to Chico and to the state of California. I stoped in here to get a smog check for my wifes car and they were super helpful. They explained what they were doing how often it needed to be done. because they knew that were were new to the area Bill helped explain the process at the DMV and gave some personal pointers on how to make the process go smother for us. I would highly recommend this place to others. Also was able to have a good conversation with another Notre Dame fan Gilbert, everyone that we had an encounter with was polite and extremely helpful!

Superior does great work at a great value with a quick turnaround. Theyve been quite busy recently and I was not expecting to have my car back the same day after dropping it off earlier in the morning. Theyre a smaller business but super professional. I just bought a 1994 Toyota Camry. They were able to get me in and my smog check done in about 45 minutes. I was very pleasantly surprised and I highly recommend them!

Fantastic service out of these guys. I first chose them out of convenience to myself because my job took me in there every 3 weeks or so and I happened to need an oil change on my new SUV. After that first visit, though, I knew they were good - they finished the job much faster than I expected and also noticed my battery terminals were corroding and that my air filters were completely clogged up which explained the dusty/dirty smell the car had despite my deep clean. They didnt do any extra work on my car before calling me and seeing if I wanted it done, and no hidden fees - theyre very honest mechanics which is hard to find these days. If I wasnt moving clear across the country, I wouldnt use any other guys. Itll be hard to find a mechanic that I feel is even half this good over there. Gilbert and all you guys in there - keep up the fantastic work, brother!-D

I needed a smog inspection and called Superior after finding them on a google search. They set up a same week appointment for me. My vehicle passed and the whole process took about 30 minutes.The front counter staff including the owner Bill were courteous, helpful and professional.A side story is I was up at Mt. Shasta with my son and a couple of his friends and the owner bill recognized me and came up and said hello which was thoughtful. At the end of the day around 5:00 pm we were getting ready to leave and he saw my vehicle and came over to say bye. Turns out my battery was dead and he was kind enough with his family in the car to give me a jump start.Small world. They’ve earned my business for life.Thanks guys.Mike A

My car broke down and was towed into the shop. I mostly spoke with Gilbert for the whole time and he was awesome--good-humored, professional, and helpful. He managed to get my vehicle done ahead of time and communicated every step of the process. Im new to the area and needed to find a new auto shop so Im glad I had a good experience finding one.

I found Superior excellent every way. The best customer service I have ever been met with in a repair shop. They are very knowledgeable and take the time to see that you really know whats going on with your car. The car came back spotless which is rare. Would not recommend Superior Auto to anyone. This is my second experience with Superior Auto the first time was not good I gave him a second chance and had them look at it additional issue I was having a few months after the first issue. They did not do anything they told me theyre going to do are they charged me double what they said and then the guy who works inside the office literally was cussing at me telling me it was my fault that he didnt have any employees in the shop to complete the task in the time that he told me. Five days after he told me he would give me my quote for work I asked him to inspect and I paid $208 for him to inspect and still have not got the quote not had a call back from the owner or manager its like they dont care about their customers and theyre just there to rip everybody off I have other friends whove agree and would never go back there again beware of Superior Auto they will scam you lie to you and rip you off.

I knew my car needed some routine maintenance and the best part is that they didn’t try to up sell me on things I know my car doesn’t need. This is the best auto shop I have been to in Chico. From the moment I walked in I felt comfortable. Gilbert was very professional and helpful and the inside of the building is very clean. They even provided an Uber to my work. They provided timely updates regarding the repairs. They were able to fix my car in one business day, and it was less then I thought it would be. They were very honest. I would definitely recommend them for any auto repair.

The staff was very friendly and had a great waiting room. They offer coffee for their customers and comfy chairs. I made an appointment two days in advance and was accommodated with an early appointment.The shop was already busy when I got there but the manager was very attentive to me once I went into the office. They serviced my vehicle in a timely fashion and gave my car a general health check. They were wonderful and honoured my mailer coupon.I will definitely go back the next time my vehicle needs servicing.

Superior Auto is always honest and punctual and priced fairly. I recommend them to my friends and family. We have been using Superior Auto since we moved into Chico in the year 2000. They have done minor repairs and major jobs for us, and they always guarantee their work.

Follow up-Again: Had an oil change in June. Was told I would need tires on my Jeep by the next season change. I knew that, so they are completely accurate! Today, I emailed asking if they could recommend a tire shop to me, and within minutes Gilbert was calling me with a recommendation! I honestly love this shop. The service writers are great!Follow-up: visit 2 in February 2020, for a second oil change, rear diff, and tire and brake check....I can honestly say...as a single woman that knows just enough about her Jeep to be dangerous...I love Superior Auto. Dealt with Bill this time around, and honestly, this place just keeps getting better with each visit. I don’t feel like they try to up sell services and are always doing what is best for their customer.I used Superior Auto Clinic for an oil change on my 2016 Jeep Wrangler. I immediately felt comfortable from my first phone call, to dropping my Jeep off and meeting Gilbert, to pick up! Its never easy being a woman taking vehicles in for service, but at Superior auto, I never once felt like they were trying to deceive me, or talk me into service that wasnt really necessary. The one thing I wish, was that they used Mobile 1 Synthetic. But I did not ask if I could bring my own oil in. Both service writers were great! I dealt with both, one at drop off, one at pick up.I will definitely continue to use Superior Auto. Im glad I took the chance!

Very nice people. But they claimed to install a factory built ignition coil that cost $136.05 but when I looked up the part number on the nearest ford dealership website it turned out to be a $70 part. I’m not sure if the shipping was $66.05 or if they just wanted to see if they could get a way with a couple extra bucks. They did a good job installing it besides the fact that my check engine light is now on when it wasnt before they did their work. I have nothing against the people who run and work at this shop but I personal will take my business elsewhere

As is usual with superior they got me in quickly, completely explained what was going on and what needed to be done. They did what was needed and had me return the following day to ensure that everything was working as planned.

The staff were wonderful and they squeeze d me into their very busy schedule when I was stranded. They also paid for Uber rides to and from a motel. They got me in for an evaluation in late afternoon and completed the work the next morning. I needed a fuel pump and fuel filter replaced. The cost was very expensive but I dont k n o w if other shops were comparable.

I was the first appointment after lunch to get my truck smogged. Was totally surprised it was done in 17 minutes. Great work guys!!! I will totally be bringing my other vehicles in when they are due for a smog check.😁 One happy customer!

The boys at Superior have been great! I haven’t had any issues since taking my cars in this last year. I love how clean the office is and how professional and welcoming the staff. I’ve always been able to get scheduled and appointment within reasonable time and they have been wonderful in accommodating my work schedule with after hour drop off and pick ups and a FREE Uber ride when my car is ready.

Such friendly people who work here. watched then fix an old ladys car for free when it had a light on. any dealership would have tore through her car and charged her a ridiculous amount. got my smog done in record time.

Great service, management is obviously well trained, we were in and out, felt like I was well taken care of. We got a first am smog appointment and it was like a well oiled clock at this shop. I will take my car back, but Im still unsure if their pricing is competitive.

Specifically stated I wanted the tire pressure left alone on my truck. Was told you ...have to check it by law. Fine. Check it all you want, but leave it where I had it set!

I am a woman and know that when I go to a mechanic I have a Target on my forehead, and a sign on my back that says kick me. So knowing this I had my new car (after a showdown with a deer) towed to Superior Auto Clinic because it was a AAA recommended mechanic shop. The Service Advisor Mr. Gilbert Hernandez quoted me a job topping $2000 but it would be done the Tuesday after the 4thof July. When he called me to say it was ready (on time) the price was amended to $800 plus dollars and I was stunned. It wasnt as bad as it first appeared. I have NEVER had this happen before. To be sure, he could have made me pay the larger bill and I may never have been the wiser. The shop is clean, busy and very efficient. Also professional and HONEST!! Thank you Superior Auto Clinic with all my heart.

I called last minute hoping to in to get my truck smogged to sell it. Superior auto not only got me in, they noticed my alternator belt was about to bust and the other two werent far behind. They got my truck in and out of there in two hours, just in time for me to meet a potential buyer. I cant recommend them enough. Definitely made a customer for life out of me.

I have taken in 3 different vehicles to the guys at Superior to run diagnostics and obtain pre-purchase inspections on cars I’m interested in buying, as well as the car I was planning to sell. I feel confident that they always give me an honest and accurate picture of what each car needs, so I can make informed decisions moving forward. While I haven’t had any cars serviced yet, I believe that the honesty and accuracy provided during diagnostics can only be determined and supported by the highly trained ASE certified mechanics doing the work. I will definitely continue returning to Superior for all my automotive needs as I trust these guys, especially after having experiences with dishonest businesses elsewhere around town.

Wow! Needed my car smogged, and with everything going on, their website said pickup, and drop-off service. Set and appt. and Gilbert called and was right on time. He said it should just be a little while. My sensors on my car hadn’t reset after some recent work. So my car couldn’t be smogged. He went ABOVE and BEYOND! Had my car back by the next morning! Smogged and good to go! Bill was kind, and super helpful setting everything up! Highly recommend their quality and honesty!
