I recently moved to the area and as we all know, it’s hard to find a trustworthy and reasonably priced auto shop. Someone recommended them to me and I’m so happy they did! Jon is honest and very knowledgeable. He goes out of his way to find the least expensive parts and gets the job done. 5/5 experience. I definitely recommend them!

If you want an honest mechanic you can trust this shop. I went to a well known place in Sacramento and was quoted over $7,000.00 brought here for a 2nd opinion and told that work did not need to be done and only charged me $60.00. I have been coming here for over 24 years. Jon and Robert are really honest guys who are conservative mechanics and only charge you for work that really needs to be done. I am willing to drive 2 hours to bring my cars back to Chico.

The guys at Auto Stop are the best in town. Being new to Chico I didnt know of a mechanic to trust so I asked a friend whos lived in Chico for 30+ years and he swore by them. Ive used Auto Stop for a year now for brakes, leaks, checking out my car when I hear a strange noise, and even changing a headlight bulb. Every single time they give me a wonderful experience, never charging me over and always managing their customers well as the job is typically done quite fast! I cannot say enough how comfortable I feel bringing and entrusting these guys with my vehicle. As a bonus, theres a sweet pup you can pet while you wait! Highly recommended!

Went to get my timing belt replaced and they ripped off my engine protecting plate off instead of undoing the screws. Why the hell would they need to break something to fix it. Blows my mind. They proceed to not inform me of what they did and I only discovered it after I got home. When I called them back they basically said they couldnt get to the engine and I wanted the timing belt replaced so they had to break it. Definitely dont recommend and will not be returning.

Came here after a random encounter with a gentlemen at the DMV. Couldnt get my license plate off and so i went here and he helped me, free of charge. Then gave me exactly what i needed to put the new ones on. Most definitely will return to here and encourage others to do so also.

Sent one of my employees here to get our car worked on. They called me explaining their situation with this company. So I will not be sending my employees to this location again. It disgust me how ridiculous this was no apology no remorse of any kind.DONT GO HERE

Went to them when I first moved to chico thought they were a good company gave great statements about them to people but after today I will never work with them or advise anyone to go to them.Had an appointment early in the morning dropped it off early. Asked could a brake change and diagnostic be done 5 1/2 hours which would have been 130 cause had to take my wife to work they say yeah no worries or issues. Guy takes a lunch and wouldnt be back til 115. He offers me to come pick it up drop it off at 3 and it can get done I told 330 at the latest had to find a sitter for my young he said ok.Get to him at 340 and without any care says its almost four I cant finish by 5 howb10 minutes could make a difference I could never know but the point is you set an appointment choose no to work on it not even move to prepare and have no care. 1 1 star just isnt enough this company should learn how to respect returning customers.I would advise anyone to come here
