My brother reserved a storage unit about 2 months in advance. We even got a call from the u-haul to confirm he was getting the unit and when we got there they told us no unit was available. Whats the point of a reservation that was available at the time even confirmed it just to show up and they tell you no. Never will I go here again and i would not recommend it either.

This place doesn’t know what they’re doing when it comes to equipment rental. My car was damaged because they do not know which tow dolly was appropriate for my car. I was denied of a refund. I could’ve killed some one on my long road trip

We needed a pickup truck at last minutes notice to move some carpet and pad to McCormick Place and was able to get one here. The store is very well equipped with all types of supplies for your moving needs from boxes, shrink wrap, dollies, etc. The store is very neat and clean. They also rent storage units. We rented a GMC pickup that had only 5000 miles on it so it was basically brand new. The rental process was quick and easy with the help of the gals that were working there. Return of vehicle was an easy process also and only took a few minutes. I highly recommend this U-Haul store!

I had a great experience at this location. I think Beauty was the lady that helped me out over the phone and made sure I was able to pick up my trailer at the time I needed it. She even called and checked to see if there were any available near my location. Then when I arrived Gage provided excellent customer service. He was quick and helped set everything up. Really pleasant experience!

For it being a last minute decision I must say that it was an easy transition. Storage was stressful but Beauty was very helpful and patience with me. That helped make it move with ease. Beauty was more than positive and pleasant.

Ordered boxes and other moving supplies online, and everything was in stock and ready for pickup a few hours later when we went in to pick them up. Staff was really helpful and friendly, and offered to carry our large order out to the car for us, which wasnt expected but was appreciated.

This was literally the worst customer experience Ive ever had in my entire life. When I arrived, there was no one working able to be found. There were two people waiting in line ahead of me, and they said they hadnt seen anyone. We sat around for 10 minutes trying to call and get in contact with someone to see if we could be served. Finally someone shows up who appears to be the general manager who looked like she did not want to be there. After checking-in, she told me to wait for them to pull my truck around the front. I wait an additional 10 minutes and still no truck so I go back to the counter and ask about my truck and the general manager reacts like she had forgotten about me completely. She asks her employee to pull my truck around, which she then does immediately. Keep in mind I have a time window that I am supposed to be moving in. The girl who pulled my truck up was very rude when trying to explain things about the truck to me. I asked how to adjust the side mirrors, and she responded by just going to the side mirrors, hitting them, and saying you dont adjust these! I later figured out how to adjust them on my own by shoving them since the right mirror was pointed almost directly back at the truck. I took the truck and arrived at my apartment only to find that the dolly I had rented was not included in the truck, which was just dandy when moving large objects. When I returned the truck, the best she could do for me was offer a refund for the dolly that I did not receive. Throughout this whole process, barely any communication or apologies. It seemed like everyone there was legitimately trying to piss their customers off.

Needed a last minute 10X10. These guys were able to deliver at 5:30 pm and even stayed a bit over to make sure I was able to move everything in. They were extremely helpful and patient with my emergency situation. They provide free carts to help yo move your items in (Hold about 6 medium boxes each). Climate Controlled, Indoors, Keep in mind youll need to purchase a lock. They offer them ranging from about $6 to $15.

The store lights were on, the store was open. Found the items I needed. I took items to counter. That took 5 mins. I then waited for another 15 mins. NO ONE came to service me. NO ONe was in the store. I tried calling the store, from within the store, thinking the person would be carrying a phone, no answer! I called back and was transferred to contact center. I told them.what I was experiencing. The person then said they would message the store and someone would be with me shortly. Waited another 5 mins. I left everything on the counter the I left the store. It appears that the bad customer service is real.

Very unprofessional! Some of the workers will give you false information and the manager doesn’t care and will allow the foolishness. Wouldn’t rent a storage unit or uhaul from them again !

The young lady with the dread things in her hair is very rude and unprofessional she ate her breakfast sandwich while she talked to us. The young man took over and knew nothing about the process or contract. Something which should have been an easy process was very difficult and made us want to go to another uhaul. We see why they had trucks available and other locations didn’t. They are very unprofessional and somewhat stupid! They really don’t have common sense especially the young lady with the dreads!

We rented a medium sized truck from this place, service was quick and we had no issues with anything

DISAGREE....WENT THERE TO GET A RESERVED 10 FOOT TRUCK AND I HAD TO WAIT 48 MINUTES TO GET THE TRUCK NEEDED...THEN ON THE CONTRACT SHE HIGHLIGHTED THE FUEL GAUGE ALL THE WAY FULL WHEN IT WAS ONLY 3/8 FULL BUT INSIDE THE BUILDING SHE VERBALLY STATED ITS 3/8 FULL SO PLEASE RETURN IT THE SAME WAY SO I ASSUMED IT WAS TO BE RETURNED THE SAME WAY AND DIDNT LOOK INTO THE PAPER WORK TO SEE THAT SHE HIGHLIGHTED THE FUEL BAR AS FULL....SO NOT ONLY WAS I OVER AN HOUR LATE GETTING STARTED AND CHARGED MY MOVING HELPERS FOR AN EXTRA HOUR OF THEIR TIME BUT I ENDED UP HAVING TO PUT AN ADDITIONAL 29 DOLLARS OF FUEL IN THE TANK.....THIS PLACE IS UNRELIABLE, MISLEADING, AND UNTRUSTFUL TO DO BUSINESS WITH.....

Debra & Cindy act as though they despise interacting with customers. Dont have the audacity to ask questions about your account or call out their poor attitude, youll be hung up on and blocked.

I made an online reservation. A lady by the name of Andrea called to inform me that I’d have to go to a different location as the one I made my reservation with was unable to accommodate it. I found the same was true for the new location, plus now somehow my reservation changed from what I originally booked, after I arrived. The team member offered me $15 for the inconvience. When I arrived at the final location, the lady on the phone told me she’d call me back in $10 with a code to apply for all the hassle. We waited with no call back, the lady in the office told me to let the office know were I drop it off at, they would take care of me and that I could finally get on the road after 1.5 hours from my original reservation time. She also charged me for 40 miles and 24 hours when I only needed 3 hours and 15 miles. When I dropped the uhaul off the location told me to call the lady on the phone who was sending me to all these locations as they can’t help me either. When I called she was no longer there and the gentleman told me he couldn’t help me either. So I follow up today, get transferred to 3 different ladies, one of whom had to set me straight on the how’s of uhaul operations. When I asked for a recording she transferred me to corporate. Still on hold as I am writing this review..... 43 mins and no one can help me. No one knows what’s going on. This sounds like Worst uhaul experience of my life. This location was one of the locations I was sent to that told me they couldn’t help me. Since no one from uhaul can help me, I will be leaving this review st every location I had to go to.

Angel Lyles is somehow a manager with her disgusting behavior to customers.Bought over $400 worth of boxes from them, tried to return 5 and was told she would only give me in store credits.I asked her to look up the phone number to prove I bought them - from her- and she refused and told me to call 1800 go uhaul..So I did. While on phone with them she starts liping off to me and the phone rep had to apologize, saying I can hear her I am so sorry you have to deal with this.She doesnt like white customers-yet works in a predominantly Irish part of Chicago..

Please do not rent from them rented a cargo can (recently) he manager and assistant manager told me to my face after I asked them would I be charged off the mileage or by the day that I would be charged by the mileage because if other wise I could of just rented a car from enterprise,priceless rentals etc. I found out after almost a week of having the van I was being charged by the day and mileage plus insurance and other hidden fees! I had to bring the van back at the last minute I still had stuff I needed to store but thank God a relative took it in for me and went with me to drop off the the van which was on the other side of town so I wouldnt have to came home by myself in a bad neighbor hood because I ended up having to bring the truck back at the last minute or they would have charged me what the manager call the weekend rate of $200 and 60 smithing dollars and I still ended up paying $300 and smithing dollars on top of the $160 smithing dollar deposit they kept. Never again they were asking me (manager and assistant manager) to refer some one to them and also to use them if I needed to store my things (yeah right!) They wont have people cursing me out on the count of how shady they are. And to really top things off the manager at like she got a attitude on the phone when I talk to her about me finding out I was like to about the price smh Take this warning unless u want to get played!

I rented a truck here then brought it back the same day. Next day Ive seen two separate charges on my card one for $159 and $39 after been told their 10 footer were $19.95 per day. A COMPLETE RIP OFF! Dont ever trust these people with your card.
