I came to Get in the Kitchen for an Impulse event and we had the most amazing time! Jason was a super fun and talented teacher that made sure we all had a hands on and enjoyable experience. I can not cook for anything and I made some amazing food! I highly recommend coming here with your group so you can get boozy in the Kitchen.
I had a great experience working with Jason from Get in the Kitchen. From the start, Jason was very communicative and willing to be flexible with our unique event needs. We hired Get in the Kitchen for a virtual event, he was always on time, easy to work with and his set up was very professional. Our attendees also provided great feedback. We would highly recommend booking Get in the Kitchen for any virtual or in-person needs!
Our group had the best time at Get In The Kitchen! It was perfect for our group of 20 and the pizza making/wine sampling/karaoke event was so much fun. Jason, Sarah and Sally were fantastic and made the party even better. Would recommend GITK to anyone and will definitely be back!
Get in the Kitchen is an awesome place! Fun people, pleasant energy, cool merch, and ask around great place. Its also super sweet that they offered to host Chicago Sugar Daddys pop-up shop. Thank you, guys!
Great service, unique private event and tasty foods! The venue, structure of event, service and food exceeded my expectations. The shrimp scampi dumplings-out of sight! Jason was a delight to work with through the planning stages and the day of the event. It was a daunting task to take on planning an event through Covid time for me. Get In the Kitchen was flexible, communicative and took safety seriously. It was great that I didn’t have to worry about the timing and flow of the event with their expertise and intuitive staff. Jason and Chef Stephan collaborated with me on my themed event and delivered a magical experience!
We were able to get Chef Franks Christmas mea and loved it! It was so good prepared at home! Will definitely be coming back!
What a wonderful place. My husband and I went to a bread baking class with Baker Betty and had such a great time! It is a really cool place and it seems like they do a lot of different things there. Comedy every Monday! I will definitely check it out again!
This place is great!! So much fun. They have great events that teach you how to cook in a very fun and social environment. Its also a great space and setup for events. The store is also really well stocked with cool and useful tools for your kitchen, bar, and home. Cant recommend it enough!!
So so so much fun. I had never done a cooking class before so I was nervous about how it would be, especially because we were making sushi. Now, I don’t think I could ever try any other cooking class because it won’t live up to Get In the Kitchen. Jason is an amazing owner and you wouldn’t even know he hasn’t been doing this for 10 years until he tells you it’s only been a year and a half. If you’re thinking about going, you need to go. You will not regret signing up for one of the numerous classes with delicious food! We will definitely be back soon!!
We did my wife’s 40th Birthday at GITK and Jason and team were incredible. He was super professional while keeping the energy high and making sure everyone had a great time. The chef was also great to work with. She showed us and then helped us make pasta and then made a phenomenal meal for the entire group.Jason’s high energy style made for a great time for everyone, we are all still talking about the party two weeks later.
A must! If you are looking for something to do that isnt the same old thing, Get In The Kitchen is the place to go! Its a party cooking school! I have enjoyed several pasta making classes and have met wonderful people in the process. They offer comedy nights, painting your pet with pizza, salsa dancing, the list goes on. Make this your destination for: girls night out, guys night out, date night, pre wedding festivities, anything!
My daughter and I stumbled upon this place during the Lakeview soup walk. Such a cool spot! The owner is very nice and helpful. I purchased bags for making poached eggs and they are a game changer! During the pandemic before we got shut down my daughter and I went back and picked up 2 more packs. He was happy to see us and gave her a scratch off lottery ticket. Great idea! I cant wait to have a party there!
If you’re looking for a laid-back, fun, and DELICIOUS night on the town, Get In the Kitchen is a MUST DO. I never thought I would be sipping wine and singing karaoke while making fried gyoza and various sushi rolls. The owner Jason is an excellent teacher who helps you every step of the way to make sure that you are learning how to make the food but also having fun! Perfect for family gatherings, parties, or a romantic and fun date night with a significant other. I cannot recommend this place enough! 5 stars.
Jason was an awesome owner/ host/party starter. My coworker and I had a blast with Chef Enrique and Kev. Im now a tamale expert. Totally fun time and good people. Its not a class its a party, dude.
This place is a blast! Amazing experience, led by fun and generous host Jason, filled with good food and great people. Had an amazing date night and I would highly recommend Get in the Kitchen to anybody whos looking for a fun night out!
Brought team members from across the Midwest, mid-Atlantic, and Northeast to Chicago for a meeting and glad we chose Get in the Kitchen for some team-building our second night in town. The group of nine was six guys and three girls with ages in the group spanning from 24-40, and I wasn’t sure how the idea would go over—it was a huge hit for everyone!Jason was funny and helpful, he made it fun, and we learned...and we ate. And ate. And ate...and drank and drank. The food was fabulous and it was exactly what we needed to help the very new team relax but still work together and get to know one another.
I don’t always post reviews, but when I do it’s either because the place is horrendous or magnificent. In Get in the Kitchen’s case, it’s because they’re beyond magnificent. You couldn’t find a better way to spend a few memorable hours with friends and/or family. I got to spend my time here as part of a bachelorette party activity. Jason knows how to throw a party and by doing so makes cooking such a joy. And I can’t forget my shout out of Jason’s brilliant assistant, Winnie, who elevated our time at Get in the Kitchen to heavenly. Do yourself a favor and get yourself to Get in the Kitchen.
Brought my family by for a private cooking class, and we really enjoyed our time here. The business owner was kind, knowledgable, flexible with timing, and the pricing was great.Id highly recommend going with these guys over the other options in town!

We all know each of those events will end disappointingly. What to do then? you ask. Well the new hip verb in Chi Town thats going around is to Get In The Kitchen!I dont know how to cook, you say, I dont like to cook, you snarl, I burn water, you say shamefully, My friends wont like that, you blubber arrogantly without an idea of what to do now. Well youre just ball of excuses that needs to roll themselves out of the house and Get In The Kitchen!Whether youre flying solo, on a first date, youre a statistically anomalous Tinder success couple, out with youre flannel wearing married friends or youre an adorable geriatric couple out there to show the world you still got the kicks to get out on the town! In my 2 past experiences (yes I went back for more ladies and gents...and was consistently the 9th or 11th wheel in the group...proudly✊🏽🇵🇪🇺🇸) Jason was our host, our chef, our entertainment, his own personal assistant and just always expressed excitement and gratitude with what he was sharing with us and simply, that makes the experience all the more worth it. In addition he adds contextual entertainment to his dishes for example first evening of Spanish Tapas was coupled with Salsa Dancing lessons; Halloween weekend was paired with costumes and pumpkin inspired recipes. From one Jason to another Jason, thank you Jason for your heart, passion and excitement that you share with all who Get In The Kitchen!FYI Its BYOB...drink hard ✊🏽 drink responsibly ✊🏽 😎
😃 What a pleasant experience at my first cooking class. I went for a Costumes and Cooking party, Jason was a goofy teacher determined to blur the lines of traditional class with a socal party 🎉 The environment was friendly and everyone was laid back. We learned how to make Wontons and other extravagant items that I forgot what they are called, and ended with some bourbon pulled chicken and pork. Its BYOB, and the teacher even made me coffee when I asked. Definitely should check out, no prior experience need! Willingness to have fun and socialize a must!
Yes! Its so much fun... Came by for a cooking class that included pizza, bruschetta, guacamole, shrimp, wine, beer.... met really cool people and had a blast!
Had a great experience, perfect amount of fun and cooking to make it a great night!
Brought a group of 25 undergraduates to Get in the Kitchen for a team building and bonding experience. On the pre-event side, Jason was flexible and responsive, adjusting the menu to fit a variety of dietary restrictions (i.e. vegetarian, halal, and gluten-free). During the event he and his staff were engaging and fun and the students raved about their time there. I would highly recommend Get in the Kitchen if you are looking for a relaxed and fun atmosphere for a large or small group.
Friendly and worth the visit.
Great combination of fun and learning how to cook!
Organized a Bachelorette cooking party on 4/6/19 and it was wonderful! The venue is new and clean, the food turned out delicious and we learned some new things along the way. BYOB too! It is the perfect activity when you want to be stress-free and pull together a fun, interactive event. We also played some games they hosted for us. We chose the “small plates” lesson and made buffalo chicken crab rangoon, flatbread and bourbon honey pulled pork slider (all delicious and plenty to fill us up). Don’t think twice, just go and have fun! To the Get Me in the Kitchen team, thank you so much for being so kind to my ladies!
A ton of fun, well worth it, and my lasagna turned out fantastic! 😁
