My friends and I were greeted by extremely friendly staff and everyone who works here is so nice. Everything was delicious and they were patient with patrons looking through the menu. Great team !!!!

Over priced soft ice cream, stale waffle cone and a server/cashier who acted like we were bothering her by trying to spend our money there...I do not recommend. There are better ice cream shops all over the city who take pride in providing their customers good fresh food and good customer service...this place aint it.

Recently moved to the neighborhood. Decided to give this place a try. Theres a huge selection of ice cream flavors, many Ive never tried before. The espresso Oreo ice cream was delicious and the homemade waffle cone made it even better. The worker behind the counter was kind and happy to serve us. I will 100% be back here. If youre looking for high quality ice cream with a laid back vibe, Scoops is where its at.

They dont treat all of their customers equally. Some are made to pay before theyve even made an ice cream selection. Shaun-Michelles Ice Cream in Bronzeville is better any way, and they treat all customers with respect regardless of color. I was a customer in the past but a good friend and her children were mistreated recently, so I never will spend money here again. One star is too many for this establishment.

I would say I stumbled upon this gem of an ice cream place by fluke. Me and My wife were driving home on 31st street when we came across the signage Scoops with a softie cone as their business trademark. We parked the car which fortunately was free parking being a Sunday, we went in. Though the place looks a little unkempt and beat up from the outside but dont judge a book by its cover. Once in, our server immediately greeted us with a smile and when we told her we are the first time visitors, she helped us pick a flavor by letting us sample a few before we picked up the coconut almond flavor in a special waffle cone which was just deliiccciioous. My wife ordered a Fat Elvis flavor and the was incredibly mouth watering!!! The service was prompt, dessert kept frozen on the top of the cone, a good portion and scrumptious to lick/ eat. The prices are reasonable with a kids riding horse and a computer based video gaming machine which operates with coins.if you are looking for a decent ice cream parlor to have a real nice dessert in and around Bridgeport/ Sox stadium you must visit Scoops ASAP! You can thank me later ;)

They make certain customers pay before they order while others are allowed to make selections and pay when theyre done... Maybe this business doesnt know that its discriminatory to racially profile someone and its against the law!

OMG, I got the Large ice cream sundae with chocolate mint & cherry something. I forgot the actual name. But that sundae was so Good bits of Health bars mixed in. Yummy

They have a lot of really delicious flavors. Zanzibar Chocolate (a really rich, dark chocolate), This Just Got Serious (a caramel flavored ice cream with cashews and chocolate), and Bourbon Pecan Pie are all amazing. I go here way more than is healthy, lol.

Amazing chocolate ice cream

This ice cream is fresh and delicious! I splurged on a dipped cone with a healthy scoop of bourbon pecan (yes, with actual bourbon in it!). My hubby went with Yippee Skippy since hes a PB fan, and my brother wanted sugar free and loved the cashew caramel. Perfect treat on a warm, breezy evening.🍦😍

My favorite flavor is the It Just Got Serious..its actually my favorite ice cream flavor ever. I dont think its overpriced as ice cream from mom and pop shops usually costs more. And luckily they dont do the cash only thing anymore. Also, this young rude lady everyone is speaking of...I have never encountered her, I usually get a sweet older woman every time I go. Safe to say this is my #1 spot for a cold treat.

Everything tastes delicious it doesnt matter what you buy. The staff is super friendly and make you feel right at home. I took my six month old here because she acted like a big girl when she got her shots and she loved it too lol

Wow. Was in the mood for ice cream. Google mapped from my location and found this place near me. Excellent service and the sundae I bought was awesome. Price was lower than I expected. 5 stars for sure. We need to keep these local places like this alive.

Place is ok! Seems like an upscale Johnny Rockets! I ordered the Scoops Club, it literally had one piece of ham and turkey! I thought it would be loaded with meat. The ice cream is ok. I been wanting to come here to see what the rave was about.

The selection of cones and cups is crazy. I recommend their birthday ice cream cakes as well. Terrific spot!

This is a good ice cream shop. It is in close proximity to where I live and is a local owned establishment. They have a large variety of soft serve as well as scooped ice cream. The portions are generous and the service is good.

Icecream is ok. Just really overpriced. We got 2 small cones with sprinkles and it was over $12

The flavor choices were great ranging from pecan pie to horchata. The scopes are big and it is priced as you would expect. Very nice workers that made the experience perfect. My favorite flavors are super rich and on the sweet side as a reference.

Service is fine. There is about 20 flavors of ice cream, some very different. Apparently the Zanzibar chocolate is supposed to be one of the ones they are know for. I tried a sample and it was very chocolately but too much for me. I got the espresso Oreo in a waffle cone. It was hard scooped ice cream and was decent. There was nothing wrong with the selection but I just didnt feel wowed.

First time here..... my daughter and I are pleased. They have an ATM and now also accept credit cards. We definitely will return.

Amazing milkshakes and sundaes--extremely generous portions, so be careful with what you order. The apple pie we tried was a bit dry, but I think the ice cream made up for it.

If I can give zero stars I would there customer service sucks and there prices are way more pricey than the sugar shack and cold stone The young lady who took care of us needs to act like she actually wants the damn job because she was so rude why hire people if they cant even fake a smile when people come in but what was really dumb she asked what we wanted then charged us 1st before making anything made it seem like if I didnt have money then after I paid close to 25 bucks she then yet again asked for my order like why didnt yuh make it the 1st time!!! Decided to check this place out for ice cream while in the area to kill some time while waiting for one of my kids to attend one of his after school activities. Good ice cream although a little pricey. Paid a little over $11 for a two scoop sundae and a cone. Wouldnt mind going again to get a treat every once in a while.

The ice cream looked very good. However, there were ants crawling inside the cooler. I notified the worker and she took no action in going to see where the ants were or where they were coming from. I was also not pleased with the workers attitude, she did not greet us when we walked in, and it took a couple minutes to ask to place our order.

If youre going to be cash only, say something on your website or on your door, not just at your register after someone orders. Also, prices are higher in store than on the website so even though I thought I had enough cash for two ice cream cones when I left, I didnt once I got in the store. There were two of us so 1 got ice cream but I didnt because of those two reasons listed above. I wont be back again.

I was craving ice cream so I decided I had to check out Scoops because its run by the same family as Mangia Fresca...which is the new love of my food life. When I walked in I was pleasantly surprised to see a good selection of flavors. I went for the oreo ice cream waffle cone. Usually oreo icre cream is so chunky but this was so yummy and smooth...some of the best ice cream Ive ever had. The waffle cone on the other hand was stale and hard to finish but I really wanted all the ice cream so I ate it.They are cash only which to me is so archaic. They need to take credit cards, especially since its a tad overpriced. I never carry cash because then I know itll disappear immediately so take credit cards...join this century. Back to being a tad overpriced for two people each to have a scoop of ice cream it was almost $9 which to me seems pricey. Im no cheapskate but just saying.Ill definitely be back though for that awesome oreo ice cream, I just wont have it in a stale cone! They also have outdoor seating which is awesome.
