Goat cheese, caramel w/cashews was so creamy and perfectly balanced. The dairy free chocolate was like having rich intense dark chocolate, so luxurious. I was provided samples of the dairy free strawberry, absolutely delicious. The blueberry French toast, will have you asking for syrup, the flavors were paired to perfection. Withe the frequent buyer programs, this Gelato gem will be a regular stop for sweet treats.

I dont know why this places had 4.5 stars when they should have 5.5! Gelato was creamy and delicious. I got their goat cheese cashew ice cream and was beyond surprised how an ice cream could taste sweet, salty, and savory. Staff was super friendly and helpful!

Can’t believe this place has over 4 stars but anyways. I had 2 scoops in a bowl- birthday cake - which was excellent- had cake chunks and tons of sprinkles. Also had their signature “goat cheese caramel cashew” which had barely any cashews or caramel. My friends all had different flavors and their notes were- not enough chunks over all in most flavors AND the “sweet corn” is the ABSOLUTE WORST INEDIBLE gelato I have ever had. Do not waste your money on that flavor- you will have to throw away your whole cup of ice cream because of how inedible it was.

Sub very good place different kind of flavors my favorite flavor is gold cheese and fortunately today they don’t have any but now because the reason and I come back and I was enjoy the ice cream in this place definitely recommend it

Now I understand the name, this gelato is meant for dogs! Horrible flavors even the chocolate tasted strange, both my wife and I threw out our cups!! Save your $15 and go elsewhere, I’m shocked they have 3 locations, not sure if they thought everyone lost their tastebuds because of COVID what. The 4 or 5 star reviews must be relatives or bots!

Awesome gelato in a great location. Sunflower is an incredible flavor if you cant have dairy (and even if you can have dairy). Ive tried Mint Choc Chip, Orange Blood Sorbet, Vanilla Pretzel, and Lemony Blackberry. All of them were 5 star quality with the best probably being Mint Choc Chip. Definitely stop in and give it a try. Very excited they opened another store closer to their Logan customers.

Black dog has very good, unique flavors. However, for both flavors I got, there were no bits or chunks of what was advertised. For instance there was barely an cookie dough in my sesame cookie dough. My friend got birthday cake and there were really no cake bits in his scoop.

Im sure their treats are delicious.. Havent had the chance to try it and probably wont.. Picked up a delivery order and left in a full anxiety attack, because of which I had to stop my day.. I can not physically wear my mask over my nose, nor for longer than 10 minutes at a time!! I have been hospitalized from this.. I understand that there are many who do it just to do it.. You all should also be understanding to the fact that there are many who truly need these accomodations! Thank you for the ED visit..

Very limited flavors - only about. Had very unusual flavors, but would not let you sample to try unless you purchased a full cup - hard to do when then flavors are so unusual you really dont know what they are. I had strawberry, and frankly have had much better and creamier Gelato from Marianos.

So delicious! Truly the best gelato Ive gotten in Chicago. They offer both classic and creative flavors, so you have a lot of choices to choose from depending on your preference. They also have some Chicago-inspired names for their gelato like The 606 which is fun. Ive liked every flavor Ive tried so far. I would definitely recommend checking this place out if you havent been before.

As a former Jenis Stan, Black Dog Gelato has 100% made me jump ship to their bandwagon. There is no other ice cream/gelato place in Chicago that does dairy-free flavors like BDG.

Best gelato in the city. Ive been way to many times in the last two weeks. Staff are really nice and the rotating flavors are terrific. Nutella is my current top pick.

Very good gelato and sorbet with rotating flavors. Often they partner with local charities and often a portion of the profits for a given day. Definitely on the expensive side but a nice occasional treat.

Black dog gelato is my favorite. My families favorite cold treats place.
