I would not recommend this company for drywall work. Im pretty sure the other reviews here are fake, so Id like to post a real one.I got an estimate from Kyle to hang a ceiling and then tape it, along with some walls that I had already hung. His quote was less than half of what another place quoted. No doubt the other place was overpriced, but you get what you pay for applies here I suppose.Kyle and his partner were polite and on time, Ill give them that. But the quality of work leaves a lot to be desired. His website boasts automated taping technology but that doesnt make a difference. The website also claims their drywall division is one of the best in the Midwest. Not sure who gave them that title..They hung the drywall the first day and it looked sloppy. Uneven gaps all over and the guy using the router to cut out the holes for recessed lighting clearly hadnt done that before. He routed right through a light bulb and 4 of the cuts were so off I spent a good amount of time patching them so you wouldnt see the uneveness when the lights were installed.I had told Kyle I was going to be very picky with the ceiling, since a large window to the west allows a lot of light in and any problems would be obvious. He didnt seem concerned. After they were done and I cleaned up, there were a lot of areas that needed to be touched up. I get it, that happens. There were also a few cracks. A couple were corner joints that he assured me was due to temperature variance behind the wall. One was right in the middle of the ceiling and two others were bad taping (no mud behind the tape and the tape not centered in the corner). I also expressed concern that the seams were quite visible at certain angles. Kyle came back to touch it all up. He assured me the seams would be fine with a thicker coat of primer and good paint job. The crack in the middle of the ceiling just got more mud, despite my concern that it would just crack again. The two bad tape joints also just got more mud. There was also a hole about 1.5 long in a wall to ceiling joint that never got taped. This also got more mud, which I am sure will fail.I had a pro painter come to see the ceiling and he immediately said the seams were not properly feathered and the work could not be hidden with primer and paint. He feathered them out and fixed a couple other spots. He then painted the ceiling and it looked much better.A few days later, a crack developed on one of the seams and both the corner joints that just got more mud crammed in them failed again. The painter said it would need to be retaped. To his credit, Kyle did agree to issue a partial refund so I could pay the painter to fix them since I have no confidence in having Kyle fix these.I started a project in an adjoining room so give Kyles poor work more time to fail, so I didnt have to worry about making another mess when it had to be fixed again. After just 2 months, the crack down the middle of the ceiling had grown to about 8 feet long. Multiple other cracks also developed in the ceiling. Every joint that runs the entire length of the ceiling had at least 2 cracks. As you can see from his response, he tried to pin this on me. He blamed his poor work on made up structural issues that he made no mention of during the job. When I was ready to hang the ceiling in the adjoining room, I had someone else come out to see if they could fix Kyles poor work. After taking down some tape and discovering the reason was very large gaps between panels, they recommend removing the ceiling and hanging it properly. So I removed all of Kyles poor work and had them re-hang the ceiling. It has now been 4 weeks and there isnt a single crack, despite Kyle blaming structural issues and claiming no one would be able to do a better job with what he had to work with. Kyles job didnt last 4 days.He has now refused to issue a partial refund, so he does not stand behind his work at all. Stay away from this awful company.
