My engagement ring is the Nola ring, with a morganite as the center stone instead of a diamond. I worked with BreAnne very closely for months on this ring. I added more diamonds along the basket design and ended up making a custom ring. She was such a joy to work with! I love my Moissanite ring, it is simple and pretty, I have received compliments from strangers! My experience was good too, when I received it I realized I had measured a size too big. I sent it back and they resized it for free and sent it back to me. They also included some cute little gifts in the bag. During the process I emailed and called them a couple of times and always felt they were very attentive and helpful.

First of all, stunning craftsmanship. I requested a unique, custom ring for myself to honor my daughter. They were quick and cheerful to respond. I got this ring as an engagement ring for my girlfriend, now fiancee, so you know it did the trick. She wanted something that departed from the typical large solitaire design, something that wouldnt snag on anything, but a ring that was also elegant yet understated. Love and Promise Jewelers had many beautiful rings, but this one checked all the boxes for us.I intended to propose while out of the country on a 2 week trip, and had a number of questions regarding return/exchange policies. L&P was happy to work with me on shipping particulars to ensure I received the ring prior to our trip, while still having some flexibility on exchanging if it wasnt to my fiancees liking. There are moments in life when you realize you have made a terrible and costly mistake. I never thought this would happen to me, but here I am. Every time I think about my experience in custom designing a ring at this place and the ring that was delivered to me, almost two thousand dollars later, my stomach turns.I went into Love & Promise Jewelers with so much hope and trust. We had consultations with many other jewelers and ultimately decided on Love & Promise as the place to custom make my dream engagement ring. We paid $150 in addition to the cost of the custom made ring ($1825 total), for a VIP Custom Rush. Putting the ring on my finger after a month of stress, sleepless nights, hours on the phone and emails with them, and two trips to Chicago, was heartbreaking. Our 3 year anniversary, which I had been looking forward to for so long, was one of the worst days of my life. All my fears and concerns that I raised with them during the design process, although they assured me it would be fine, became a reality.In addition to the overall design, the height and width of the brackets on the two side stones are uneven. Visually, I could see this right away up close, in addition to blurry photos of the ring they sent me from an ipod. I could see the error and Laura assured me “the ring looks beautifully straight.” I confirmed with another jeweler, the same day, what I was seeing was indeed correct. The jeweler asked if I noticed that multiple prongs on the side were not actually touching the diamonds. I was shocked. I could easily slip my finger nail under the prongs. Besides their error in never listening to any of my concerns with the design, the ring is blatantly flawed in quality.A week into the process, I realized that this was a huge error on my part. I should’ve ended the process there. I raised my concerns multiple times with 3 people at Love & Promise…they all reassured me that my custom ring was going to be great. I based it off the design “Gloria” but wanted to make it my own. Ten seconds into trying on my ring, I took it off, crying. That was the first and last time I put the ring on my finger.Love & Promise is very clever with words, responses, and they were attempting to make it right. I could not trust people who wanted to take the easy way out in the beginning. They wanted $200+ in addition to everything Ive already paid, to fix the angle of the side brackets and the clear evidence of poor quality workmanship.I had read all the reviews before starting this process and even in the bad ones, it seems like Love & Promise was sincere and the customer did something wrong which resulted in the customers issue. Whatever they reply to this review I want to be the first one to say, yes, I did do something wrong. My fiance put all his trust in me, as I did with Love & Promise, and I immensely regret designing a ring with them.There’s two pieces of advice I will leave anyone reading this...trust your gut and look at the BBB website. This is the second claim that has been filed against them.I would never recommend custom designing with them. I’m taking this entire experience as a learning lesson.UPDATE:Im adding an email sent to BreAnne addressing my concerns with the CAD. The email includes THREE examples. I’m not sure why Shirley is so hung up on the jeweler Vrai, it was one of the many examples all showing a 3 stone ring. Photoshoot? Im sure you meant our once in a lifetime engagement pictures that I won’t have a ring to wear in. I never said I wanted a redesign for free on the phone; Julie flat out told me the redesign would be $220 to fix the ring. Julie also might remember I told her the jeweler said the ring was well made for it being hand made. I went back to the jeweler and he noticed all the flaws and even took pictures to show other jewelers. Shirley said I exhausted over 7 hours...yes, I spent a significant amount on the phone asking them to fix ONE thing about the ring. Custom design rings allow up to 5 changes, they wouldn’t allow 1.

Last October, my partner and I wandered in to Love & Promise Jewelers on a whim, thinking this might be a good place to start looking for an engagement ring and some wedding rings. Wed previously seen their work online, and had a look at the website. Were from Australia, but were able to have the rings delivered to a friends apartment in NYC (which we were scheduled to be in a few weeks later). We are absolutely blown away by my engagement ring and wedding band. In October we went in to personally see and try on engagement bands in Chicago. I came in with what I thought I wanted- then after conversations about customizing I got exactly what I was looking for. BreAnne helped along the way. I got the Kylie ring with a half diamond shank. I love this place. My husband got my engagement ring from here and it is breath taking. I have since referred many friends. We found them on Etsy and I love that their diamonds are cruelty free. They also use sustainable methods and recycled metals. They were incredibly accommodating and communicative when I needed the ring resized. Thoroughly pleased with my experience with Love and Promise. I have now purchased an engagement ring and wedding band through them and plan on a third band. Very timely responses to emails and very helpful and informative moving forward. My fiance loves her ring and were happy we found a reasonable, helpful jeweler.

I have a custom band from Love and Promise! It is beautiful and the band was custom. We did have to pay another jewler $400 for what they called poor craftsmanship. The stone was always loose and love and promise told us to just keep getting it tightened. Well, a jewler at the mall was able to fix it and work in it, and now that the stress is over I love it.

Buying an engagement ring can be an intimidating endeavor for a young, first time ring buyer. I didnt know what to expect. All of the staff at Love and Promise were kind and extremely welcoming to the whole process. They took the time to explain the details of different diamonds and bands. They were more than happy to accommodate my small budget and did not treat me with any less respect because of it. Because of this fantastic experience, my now wife and I got our wedding bands at Love and Promise and plan on coming back again.

This is the second time I have used these guys to create custom birthstone stack rings, and I can not recommend enough! I am based in Australia, and everything has been done via email and has been so easy and smooth - I feel they have gone above and beyond to help me and make me feel comfortable with design process from afar.The final products are absolutely amazing, so beautiful and I get so many comments from friends. My husband got my engagement ring here. It was custom made and absolutely great. He worked with A’riel who was so awesome that we went back and got our wedding bands from here as well. She was knowledgeable and super chill. We love all rings and would recommend them to anyone looking for a great experience. Bonus point: they work with moissanite which was super important to us (not a fan of diamonds and their price tag).

I more than loved my rings! We ordered a wedding set and its so beautiful and MORE than worth the money! The boxes werent just plain ole black velvet boxes, they were very nice and they sent cleaner and a cleaning rag! More than in love with my set and I wont be going anywhere else. EVER

Went jewelry shopping for a while on jewelers row for my fiancees engagement ring with no luck on finding the right ring. My fiancee told me what she wanted in the ring, so it wasnt just a gut instinct what was the right ring. I was just fortunate enough to ask around my friends and they pointed me to Love & Promise Jewelers. It is a bit hard to find considering it was on the 15th floor on Madison street, but I was I glad to find it. The manager and her team were super helpful and friendly. They offered me beverages and snacks, and sat down with me and discuss what I was looking for. Even had a 3D CAD rendering of what the ring looked like once I gave them the details my fiancee was looking for. Even reached out to me after a couple days after I purposed to my fiancee (told them what day I was going to ask the big question) to see if she liked the ring? Its great people to work with and a pleasure to know. Planning on getting my wedding band here too!

I love my engagement ring from Love and Promise Jewelers! It’s a rose gold pear shape. My fiancé said the ordering process was very easy and my ring arrived promptly. We will definitely be purchasing my wedding band from them soon!

DO NOT BUY FROM love and promise jewellers.The quality of the jewellery that they produce is EXTREMELY poor.I bought my now wife, an engagement ring last year, and with just over 6 months of light wear the stone fell out and was lost. We have had no luck communicating with L&P about the issue, even after providing detailed photos of the obvious defects in the ring (there is a hole in the basket where it has been soldered to the main body of the ring). We have gone to two separate jewellers (in Australia) for an independent evaluation, who each confirmed that the ring was NOT constructed to adequate specifications to support the stone. They stated that as well as the (obvious) poor build quality, the supporting prongs were 30% thinner then they should have been and combined with normal temperature fluctuations from day-to-day wear has caused the metal to expand the stone to come loose. I have lost THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS on this ring and I am very upset, as is my wife. This was supposed to be a forever ring, not 6 months. I would have written this review on ETSY except for the 100 day time limit for reviews.UPDATE from below response.Dear L&P.I am aware that gold melts at 1948 F, thankfully the ring did not melt off my wife’s fingers. I am sure you know that metals expand and contract with temperature, it is called LINEAR THERMAL EXPANSION COEFFICIENT and gold surprisingly is a metal.Seems that your standard practise is to place blame on the customer in all cases.You state Although our products are handcrafted with care and expertise. Two independent Jeweller assessments say otherwise.You have not addressed the follow issues with the ring- There is a hole in the basket where it has been soldered.- The claws that hold the stone in place are way to thin- The basket does not have adequate structural supportAre these defects best practice within our industry? doesnt seem to be much care and expertise at all.Offering a discount is not acceptable, we request that the ring be repaired with the above defects addressed and the stone replaced at no additional cost to us

I initially found Love & Promise Jewelers on Etsy and was so happy to see that were based in Chicago, down the street from where I work! I went to a couple different ring shops to try on and absolutely fell in love with everything I slipped on my finger at Love & Promise. BreAnne was amazing to work with and I even brought my fiancee in so she too could purchase a ring from them. With all the crazy wedding planning this was by far my best experience and thats really what matters since I will be wearing my ring every day for the rest of my life. Thanks so much!
