CLOSED. Prepaid services and only used the card once. I went back to see Val and they were closed. I had no prior notice nor would I have bought the card pack right before closing. Sad. They were reasonable and Val did great.

Indeed the best place for threading in Chicago! The only place where Ive experienced painless threading. Rubina is awesome. Every time I prefer to go with her, as she makes me very comfortable and she knows how to fix even the worst shape of brows. Super friendly staff and beautiful ambience. Definitely recommended!

Second visit. Very unprofessional staff! The staff was different (it was a Tuesday). The first time I visited, the staff was much more friendly and professional.The girl was literally threading out my skin instead of the hair. I eventually asked her to stop and requested the process to be completed by her colleague who was better. She did not trim the brows and neither did she moisturize the skin after. My skin was burning and all red. I was given $5 off towards the end as compensation but I was definitely not satisfied with the customer service. They should improve their staff.

First, she doesn’t use gloves even in the middle a pandemic. Second my eyebrows ended up totally different one from the other. And I asked her for tint and I had a allergic reaction. Basically I realized that isn’t the same owners that the purple chair, now is a new person the owns the place

This place isnt the same without the people who use to thread. They have changed the way this place looks several times! The price has also increased and if youre using a card you will be charged a processing fee FYI for those that card. I love getting my brows done here but you must be cautious as to who does them. 🥴

I love this place! Ive been a client for about 2 years now, maybe longer and will keep going! Ive had eyebrow and upper lip threading along with eyebrow tinting. Also have had underarm waxing and have never had a problem with service or anything like that. I go every 2 to 3 weeks. I also do pay and tip cash. There is a card fee but not sure how much it is. Overall definitely recommend!

Hi, it was my first threading in US, and this place was like dream come true for me, I was looking for near by beauty bar and affordable too because I am a student here. Farzana did my threading over there, and she was concerned for me because I had tears in my eyes because of pain( I have thick eyebrow hairs) . She was so kind and helpful that she was wiping my tears also while doing threading. I would definitely recommend this place for their good service.Also, they have a cute ambiance! Must visit!

They do decent eyebrows. The price has risen again 11$ as of today for threading. Zora an older lady did my eyebrows today, and was pleasant up until I pressed no tip on the card machine (I tipped in cash). It’s nice when people tip but they don’t have to. I would advise the staff to be more patient with their customers.

Fantastic Place to go. I go about once a month to get threading done. Very friendly workers and theyre very considerate of my needs as I cannot have witch hazel after threading. Only $11 for quick and well done threading. PLUS they do a frequent customers card. I refuse to go anywhere else as my hairs are very thick and stubborn.

Loved it! It’s $11 for threading, but I’ve never had a more pleasant experience with threading, well worth it. I’m used to tearing up bc of my eyes being sensitive, but it honestly didn’t hurt one bit. My eyebrows are also thicker, and most places thread my brows too thin, but she literally just cleaned them up without messing with my arch, definitely will go back!

I went to this salon for eyebrow threading and was helped immediately. The threading was very quick and staff were friendly, but I was very disappointed with the threading, as I had a large number of random hairs still left, and even got small cuts on both of my eyelids. Ive been getting threading down for many years now and have never gotten cuts from it before.

Worst place, the prices on the website and on the store are nor same. The service is also not at all great the old lady missed so many places. Would not recommend

Ive been going to this place for years. A young girl with grey hair just did my brows and Im very disappointed. I was complaining during service because she kept rubbing the thread very hard near my eyelid its super sensitive and Ive rarely had a problem with pain because Ive been getting threaded for over 10 years. When she finished she gave me the mirror I was super shocked because Ive never had a job this bad before. I left then cam back to show her the issues I had and she tried to adjust it but the damage had been done. Never again.

I’ve been going here for years to get my brows threaded. I came by Saturday 1/9/2021 and it looked like they are closed permanently. I have a few prepaid services left and I am disappointed that they it seems that they aren’t open anymore. Hence my one star review.

My eyebrows usually turn out nice. But the staffs bad attitude is gives me more than enough reason to make me not return. Just rude, does it hurt to greet the person, smile and tell them to have a great day? Smh. Oh yeah usually when I get my brows threaded, my eyes start to water & tear up from from the pain, I just thought it was strange that the girl that did my brows was smiling about that. Anyways I dont think Ill be back.

First time I went they did a great job second time horrible... before i sat in the chair i explained to her i dont have much eyebrows as it is just clean them up...well now I have barely none and there uneven thank God for brow dip

I used to come here a lot however they would be harsh while threading my eyebrows. They would pull a hair too hard that it would bleed. The next couple of days afterwards I would have tiny bumps around where they threaded. Recently, I went to another threading place and the tiny bumps or bleeding did not happened to me at all and it was way more painless. Purple chair needs to practice threading more and be more friendly towards customers.

I attend Depaul University and this place is just a few steps away which is perfect! They do an amazing job with my eyebrows. The place is very clean and the staff is very friendly. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is skeptical about getting their eyebrows threaded. The pain is not that bad at all. The best part is that it reasonably priced and with my college loans I could def use that :)

The girl who helped me (she looked like 16) did a really good job on my eyebrows. She was the only one working but didnt feel like she was in a hurry. I really liked her, will be back, and give her all the tips.

Valeria did such an AMAZING job and was extremely friendly and did exactly what I wanted to do, she didn’t make my eyebrows thinner at all and the thread was great, didn’t hurt one bit

Ive been coming to this place for a couple of years now, but recently its just been down hill service, if you have thick eyebrows they will make them super thin... and the treading is extremely painful compared to other places Ive been. beautiful shop but they kinda do what they want to you.

Awful experience here! It was a good place till last year. Last monthI went, an old Indian lady messed up my eyebrows and I had too many cut marks that were bleeding badly. No apology at all. I have been doing eyebrows for 12 years and this is the worst. I even wrote to them via contact page and no one got back to me.

Went in approx 730 right before they closed at 8, and Zora stopped in the middle of mopping the floors to thread my brows. She didn’t stop to wash her hands, and they smelled like pine sol as she touched my face. When I got home, I saw that my skin was really irritated and I’m sure it’s because she failed to stay sanitary. I’ve been getting my brows threaded for years and have never gotten irritation. I stopped coming here years ago and now I remember why. Price is too high as well.Whatever cosmetic lisense she has, needs to be revoked! It’s juat common sense to wash your hands before touching a client’s face.

This place is great! I found a discontinued perfume which I was looking for ages and couldnt find anywhere. My wife also got her eyebrows threaded and they did a great job.Would highly recommend.

Absolutely horrible. DO NOT GO HERE. The old woman has no idea what she’s doing. I left with nearly any eyebrows left and one was completely different than the other.

They do a good job at threading eyebrows. Theyre not always perfect, but they have never screwed up completely. Overall, they are pretty consistently good.

I got hooked on this place 5 years ago (when they were called something else) because of their loyalty program and its proximity to my work. Whenever Im not 100% satisfied with my eyebrow threading, I let them know immediately and theyve always fixed them to my satisfaction.

For me to be able to write a review,I had to tap on that one star. This place is absolutely hopeless. I went to get my threading done here and this lady named Camie who did the job, left so many cut marks on my skin that they instantly started bleeding. On showing her the blood spots on the face tissue that she offered,the lady says this happens to everyone who gets threading done. I have been threading my brows and face for more than 10 years now and this never happened to me until yesterday at purple chair. Above all this,not a word of apology or even apologetic tone from Camie. She was rude and even insulted me. Who does that to a customer you just physically injured? This stores supervisor was not in place, I waited to get in touch with him for 2 hours but in vain. I am given a contact number which is of the store and answered by the sub oridnates, so you can guess your concern will never be answered or even conveyed to the supervisor. I wish I can post some pictures of the cut marks this lady gave me.

I went today and they ruined my eyebrows. Now they are so thin. I am so angry 😤 DONT GO THERE!!!!

This place is horrible I went two days ago to get my eyebrows threaded and the way she was threading was so painful. I get threaded all the time and it never hurts. She kept rubbing the damn string into my skin before she even took hair off. I also have a bunch of pimples from the threading and that never happens either. She missed a bunch of hairs as well. Ill never be returning here.

Staff is nice. Never complain about my eyebrows. Always get them done right.

It seems like a nice parlour from outside, and I guess a couple of girls working over there are really good, but I had a terrible experience. I purchased a coupon from groupon for full arms wax and the way I was treated was horrible and totally unacceptable. I went in on a Sunday and inquired if I needed to take an appointment prior to getting the service and I was told that I can just walk in and also that the lady who does waxing (Zora) was not present then so I need to come back some other day. I made a call the next time before visiting them and went again. When I got in, I told them that I wanted to get threading (for eyebrows done) and waxing (for arms) and to my surprise, the behaviour of the lady (Zora) changed once I told her that I had a coupon from groupon. I was treated with contempt and made to feel like getting a coupon from groupon is a crime. She asked me to return and to come in some other day saying that the waxing room was busy. When I said her that I would be fine waiting and asked her how much the wait time was, she rudely said that she had no idea. I was told on my previous visit that there is only one lady who does waxing and she was right in front of me (making me wait and was taking other clients), so I was a bit confused but I preferred to ignore that and waited after getting threading done only to be treated more rudely. When I went in the room I wasnt asked if I needed to change into something until I asked if something was available with them and then asked very demeaning questions like do I get waxing done once in six months, or do I keep on changing the places I avail beauty services from. When I asked the lady why she was getting so annoyed she said me that these were just normal questions. She later mentioned that only people who keep on visting different places for discounts use groupon (well who asked you to offer a discount on groupon if you feel its a wrong thing to use groupon) and also that her groupon customers never return (Well who would if you treat them so badly?). I was new to the city and was looking for a decent place to make my future appointments and this one is definitely not the place for me. Apart from lying (about the availability of the room) and then treating me badly, she also made some pretty racist comments which is a shame!When I asked who the other lady was who takes waxing appointments and why I was told on sunday that no one was available, Zora told me very unhesitatingly that other girls lie all the time and return customers.This was the worst experience I ever had in my life. Groupon users beaware! Try get an appointment with someone other than Zora if you have already wasted your money buying a coupon from them or try to get the money refunded to use on some other deal on groupon. I would never again visit this place in my life, not even for free! Its such a waste of time and energy.

After my indicating I did not want my brows thin, she did exactly what she wanted, she made them thin - no regard for customer. The person I saw did not meet my expectations.

Poor customer service didnt explain things probably. ..felt rushed and over charged for service.

My sister and I showed up half an hour before they were scheduled to close and they turned us away because they didnt have time to do my sisters brows. The entire time there was one customer waiting and the manager just sat at the little desk doing nothing instead of tending to customers. Ill never try that place again.
