I used to alwaaaaays come here. But ever since COVID, they’ve been stocking less & less. Right now everything here is STILL summer stuff. Who wants a tiny sundress for $40??? Like come on, it’s not even ‘outlet’ price, & this is supposed to be a surplus store!!! On top of that, their inventory is dirty, & the sizes are mostly XXXS & XXL, nothing in between. Even the accessories are dirty: hair ties that no one wants, & tote tags that have been on display since forever. If you do manage to find something worth buying, the price is way too high for a surplus store. Skip this location & just head to a real Urban Outfitters, at least their sale sections have more sizes & reasonably sale priced clothes that are semi in season.
Omg!!! They got deals. We bought so much stuff that was a fraction of the price. Whenever we are in town this is our go to!Update: My box arrived the other day with all my goodies! What will I do with so many lipsticks, makeup and vitamins. Almost worth just doing a turn and burn to Chicago for this store! Dare I say I have enough lipsticks for the rest of my career?!🤔💋🤫
Don’t go here intending to find exactly what you were looking for, it’s not that kinda store. Went in just to have a look around and ended up getting a pair of Vans for $20 and two nice shirts for $10. Great prices, staff were nice but a little empty at the time of my visit. A few of the shirts I looked at looked like they had been stained or dirty. Apart from that nice shop. Would give 3.5 if I could but closer to 4 than 3.
I am 25 minutes early to this place before closing and they are already closed? I come here all the time and no one likes to work in Urban Outfitters. How can you close almost 30 minutes early? Unprofessional and you should definitely hire a new manager. Never a great experience here but hey on the upside the clothes here are cheap.
I was expecting more lines of clothing. Not much to chose from and my friend says she didnt see the online things for her home decor. Very disappointing.
Visited here with my niece today. She was pleased with a few great deals. Clerks were busy with inventory but took time to be helpful.
Can score some great deals but the selection is kind of mixed. Worth checking out
Warehouse like space with overflow of old urban clothing items. Great prices. Spent around $10-$15 per item
This is an overage shop. Basically, discounted items that couldnt sell at the actual UO stores. Normally, not much to find but sometimes some cheap treasures await.
If you have the time, you can find some great bargains. 👍 Spacious not crowded.
I’ve been here a few times and I loved it until my most recent visit. I rushed to arrive before closing (posted on website and on door as 6pm) and arrived at 5:30. To my disappointment the doors were locked and the employees were closing up. I called the store from outside and the employees ignored the call and continued closing. I knocked on the door many times and was ignored until the last time I knocked when they responded with a rude shrug and smirk. I have nothing against the store, just these employees. I don’t recommend coming near closing time as this might happen to you, too.
Really cheap and good quality, I love their bags.
I gave this a 2 star rating because although their prices are great, its only for sizes SX or S, which is not fair to those who are a medium or large. I dont think its much to ask for more sizes since they can put 20 of the same dresses that are only smalls. Its not like they have 4 dresses of only smalls. There are multiple shirts, shorts, pants, and dresses all for the same small size. Not cool.
Please change the store hours to 5:30pm closing on Sunday as I drove across town to the store. It’s fine if you want to do that but let customers know.
I love the fact that an urban outfitters surplus store exists. Too bad people come in here without masks and the staff don’t seem to care.PS whatever you do, don’t you dare try to try an item on in the mirror before you buy it!!!
I found some good deals. Great customer service from a cool looking chic named Stacia. This is the surplus location so they have a little of everything. You can definitely find some bargains.
No real deals. Lots of old and useless stuff. Things that were current you could get at the regular retail stores. We were disappointed and wasnt worth the trip.
Good deals. This is a surplus store. Some sizes are at discounted prices others maybe not. Worth a visit!
One of my favorite stores! I always find something good here each time I go. I’ve been shopping at UO for 15 years now :)
Great Deals. I love this store. But the staff are very rude. Rushed me out at 6:50 when the store closes at 7. I saw two girls tonight laugh in a customers face next to me. Just would like to see better customer service or a virtual check out so people don’t have to interact with the rude staff here.
They actually close 30 min before the time listed on Google and their website. Very frustrating
Stopped by a few weeks ago and the deals are insane. I found a dress that was originally $80 but got it for $5, and it wasnt poor quality. There is an employee break from 3:15-4:15 (on Saturday, at least) so be wary of that when you go. Id recommend getting there at least 20 to 30 minutes before the break is over to get a good spot in line (because of COVID) and be the first back in the store.
Employees didn’t take the security tags off of the items I purchased. I was visiting so I am unable to go back to the store to get them taken off. Thanks for the $80 worth of clothes I can’t wear.
Store is great for cheap prices! You just really have to dig around and look. I would suggest going early in the morning since now due to COVID they only allow certain amount people in the store. My friend and I came last time around 2pm and there was a long line. They also changed hours I dont remember exactly but they are only open a certain amount of time and then they close since they want to give their workers a break then they reopen again. I would check the place out in person for more info!
This place seems to close they want. I was there today Friday at 6:45 and they locked the doors early. The employees could care less about assisting customers while theyre all on their phones. I called but they kept hanging up on me. Not happy 😒.
Cheap urban clothes but bogus good music though
Rude cashiers. Stopped having good deals since pandemic started.
They have decent deals from time to time but I just hate the fact that theres never something in my size which is a large. The majority of the clothing is xsmall and small. Super annoying!
Great Deals
This store has changed over the years...alot of random items.
Super inexpensive. My friend got a dress with pockets for 70 cents. Its crazy!....
Way more affordable than regular urban outfitters! i love the surplus store
Love the store, Love the discounts, Love the quality. I understand that with COVID-19 all stores are having to go through their own way of handling it, but I was rushed out of the store 10 minutes before closing. Checkout was extremely slow while I was waiting in line which made customers waiting in line impatient. Again, I understand that COVID is affecting a number of businesses, but stores should be ready to adapt to this new lifestyle.
It was a good place to good shopping especially for young people. Keep up the great work! Bring it on!
This outlet always has some amazing choices and really great prices for what would originally be more pricey. The layout of the store is simplified and very clean. The staff members are laid back, friendly and ready to assist you.I got a really nice formal top for exactly one dollar, and a cropped sweater for 5dollars. So i super recommend checking this spot out. Its worth it
Cool surplus location. Good prices. Decent selection. Actually have fittings rooms. My daughter found a few good outfits for cheap!
Love this place. More cheaper prices and a lot of cool stuff
This place is the best! Always super friendly staff. Usually hit or miss for me when it comes to finding stuff for myself. But when I do I get amazing deals on shirts and shoes. Great place for records and random gifts for cheap and well.
No dressing rooms too expensive
Always find some cool knickknacks. Also a great place for adidas asscesories for a low price
Not as much of a bargain as I had hoped
Great deals. Its a outlet store with rare big name finds from the urban private label, and major designer labels. Every day something different. The last chance racks and bins have great deals for less than $10USD.
If you love Urban Outfitters but not the steep prices, come to this outlet location. It has a good variety and stylish pieces at a discount price. Since it’s an outlet, there aren’t always tons of different size options and things go quick. I stop by regularly to keep an eye on price drops and see what’s new. I’ve gotten $250 worth of clothes for $22 here before...shopping here is the best way to buy trendy pieces for super cheap. My husband and brother like their men’s options here too.
My wife and daughters bought a ton of stuff. Amazing deals. Several cool pieces they found were only a dollar. Good stop while we were waiting for our table at Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinders.
Great discounts here. Everything is much cheaper here then in regular Urban Outfitters store. The store has a lot of options.
Prices are the same as a regular urban outfitters, with a few exceptions.
Great fashion at incredible prices. Clean sales floor with awesome employees to help you find your next fit! 10 out of 10!!
A trendy, low to moderately priced, youthful and sometimes edgy speciality clothing store. UR carries Womens and Mens jewelry, outerwear, handbags accessories and mostly casual clothing. You will also find a small cosmetic, home accessories, and a card/ book department.Fully Handicapped Accessible, three floors, dressing rooms, well merchandised, organized, clean...and FUN! This store has a clearance section.Last, but not least, a creative, helpful, and friendly group of associates. Most dress with edgy fashion, and it is refreshing to see a company that allows them the freedom to do that. No, Im not 20 something. Im 67, but not ready to give up- any time soon- being able to buy a piece of fun fashion to liven up an outfit. A great place for reasonable and artistic, or fun gifts. Dont let your age hold you back from walking in the beautiful great double doors which greet you as you enter.
We got in line to go inside and they told us they were going on a 2 hour break then proceeded to close the store, no apology or anything. they should have posted a warning that they were closing, bad customer service.
Awesome outlet store for Urban Outfitters!! Great prices, good selection! I wish they had one of these on So Cal. I stop by here whenever Im in Chicago.
They have the most adorable clothing for tweens. My niece had a difficult time deciding on so many choices. Only issue were the items that had glitter on them. Way too much and extremely annoying to remove once it’s gets on anything.Small shop and extremely courteous staff!
Outlet store for UO, with much better prices than their other stores. The women’s selection seems to be much better than the men’s. The men’s section takes a very specific type of person to wear the style of clothes they sell. Whereas the women’s section seems to have more of an eclectic selection for all styles. Overall, selection seems to be hit or miss here but prices can’t beat.
I love checking out the clothing at Surplus, but have yet to find anything i like. The record selection is great though. The staff is super friendly and do their best to help you with sizing and gift wrapping.
They no longer have a dollar or clearance section. prices are same as an urban outfitters sale.
Amazing selection of clothes and accessories. Friendly staff always asking how they can help. Very big open area. Photo booth to commemorate your amazing shopping adventure.
First time in this store and I was very happy. The prices were phenomenal! Services was excellent. They dont attack you as soon as you walk in but still make you feel like theyre willing to help you. One employee in particular was awesome. If you ever go in, see Jerome. He went above and beyond to help my boyfriend and I and has a great attitude! Awesome store, awesome service, awesome prices!
The clothing here a just a year ago was fantastic and the low prices meant I could walk out with 2 huge bags of great finds and only spending 100 bucks. During my last 2 visits the racks were stuffed with pet priced junk. Many items looked as if they belonged in a thrift store. Im give them another try before the holiday season begins, but if I see what Ive saw during my past 2 previous visits, Ill stick to Zara and occasionally shopping at a regular retail Urban Outfitters and leave the UO Surplus store alone.
YES! Everytime I get sad, I buy myself a pair of fun pants to make myself feel better. However, my pocketbook cant afford that kind of luxury, and thrift stores sometimes just dont hit the spot. This surplus store gets new items every week, and at SUCH a discounted price, that I end up with something to die for every time I visit! Staff is so friendly and I own so many pieces from this location. I am so lucky to live near this magical place.
No expectations as this is more of an outlet but its clean and well arranged. Sadly I lost a glove the day after I bought them here. Cant find them online. I live four hours away! Had fun though!
This place is cool since it’s an Urban Outfitters Outlet, the only one I know of so far. However, because it is an outlet, selection is pretty limited. Prices are pretty good.
Love their styles but it is very expensive. If Im paying higher prices for these good quality clothes, Id also like to see their mission statement and sustainability policies along with their worker evaluations and conditions. The consumer has a right to know that the money their paying is at least for a good cause!
Great selection and staff!
So cheap and great! Love the deals Ive found here. Every visit to Chicago sends me home with a few amazing $5 shirts or $10 pants! Love it. Very friendly staff too!
The prices here are awesome! You might have to dig for awhile, but Urban Surplus is definitely worth it to find some really cool, fashionable pieces for cheap prices. Although sometimes overwhelming and the quality isnt stellar, if youre lucky youll come out with some treasures!
Inventory does get a bit stale, granted it is the surplus store.. A lot of the clothes there are hit / miss and very bold (at least the mens section). Yet, they do have the most dope hats. Guaranteed to find a deal every time you come here. Staff is kind.
I always find cute stuff! And the staff is sweet/ cool lol
Expensive but a few good finds
Great deals. Wide open space to shop
Years ago, I really enjoyed this location. Now, theres a much poorer selection. Process are still cheap, but nothing appealed to me.
They always have great deals at discounted prices. Especially for the urban, trendy customer.
They have a great clearance rack! Definitely outlet pricing!
My daughter drags me here a lot. Very nice for clothes. They also have books and gadgets for me to look at. Really a cool store.
Great selection, prices, and customer service.
Doesnt carry all the clothing thats listed online but you can find the most amazing deals here! And they also have $1 bins full of clothing, which other stores dont have
This store is heaven. Always great prices for clothes. Sometimes its a hit or miss with the items depending on the sizes available. Great sales for all types of clothes as well as accessories. Friendly staff and located in a nice general area on Clark near food restuarants.
Great place! Really loved the service! They were awesome and gave really good suggestions. The clerk remembered my name too! I didnt however likethe selection of pants
Bless everyone who posted that this is an outlet!!! I had NO IDEA! It’s doesn’t have any indication and is in a weird location for an outlet. It’s their original store though that’s why. If you know anything about urban outfitters than you know getting 8 items for $3 is insane! Really it’s insane anywhere but holy moly!! I caught the after Christmas sale but still amazing markdowns year round it seems.
Decent prices. Found some good stuff
Very, very cheap prices! But if youre not a size small in womens clothes, dont get your hopes up on them having everything in your size. Im size 10 shoes, however, and Ive been able to find shoes that fit me.
Whenever, I travel to Chicago UO is one of my favorite places to shop. They have awesome prices. The customer service is hit and miss depending on who is working. But, I tune them out and I am like a kid in a candy store on a mission. I would also suggest that you make sure that you give yourself time to find a good parking space. The area is very busy with a lot of folks and limited parking spots.Helpful tip: If you purchase items from this location and want to return them you must do so at this location. Any other UO will not return them for you. For this reason I always try on everything that I purchase. Another tip is to have your receipt emailed to yourself so if you ever need to return anything you can pull it quickly.
This Urban Outfitters on Clark is their outlet store. Which means great value for money on a wide variety of items. Granted, this store isnt as big as their other stores, its one a single storey, and they might not have the latest line of apparel or items but I have to say, I was still impressed with what was being offered. The quality of the items was still appealing to me, in fact I left the store buying a hat (for summer) and a pair of gloves (for winter). Its weird I know but hey, its Urban Outfitters, they are a little off kilter. My wife walked out with a $5 dress which she wears fairly regularly nowadays. There arent that many service staff at this location so if you need help, you probably have to go look for it because they are not likely to be looking for you.Overall, a great place to spend the afternoon if youre in the area. Who knows, you might just find something you like, or something that youve been eyeing at other Urban Outfitter stores and find it here for a great price. You never know...
I had high hopes for the outlet store as the general Urban outfitters are so good. It did not have a wide range of products which I suppose is to be expected. Did get a great pair of pants for $10, had to que in line for like 10 minutes though which was so not cool.
Lots of great funds of youre willing to sift through the racks
Seriously. Love this store. Love. An outlet store, with a lot of cheap great finds. You will walk out very stylish and did not have to spend a lot for it.
Love this store. Its an UO outlet and items can always be had at a discount. Fun store with a ping pong table and a bunch of fun items to buy.
It was mediocre to me not much to choose from It gave me a thrift shop type of feel.
My sister and I came here on MLK day and sale items (pretty much everything in the store) were half off. I got leather mules for $10 and several dresses and tops for $3-10 each. Also got gloves for $1.50.
Good deals, but hit or miss finding good stuff
Great place for a discount wish I bought more when I was there!
This outlet has good clothes for great prices! Because its an outlet store, they often only have one size of a given product or are missing entire categories of clothing, but its a great place for browsing and deal hunting.
It was pretty nice. First time in there got some cute stuff :)
I was amazed with this Outlet store! Im not always a fan of Urban Outfitters due to price point but this store was a steal! Staff ranged to friendly to super friendly! I would shop here all the time if I lived in Chicago!
Great prices could have more selection.
A nice re-sale store with either too many items or trends going off the market.
I love the outlet vibe if this place. You can get really sweet deals in here.
You never know what they are going to have on sales floor until you go there; surprises, bargains or nothing
