I was hesitant to stop in to the store after reading some of these reviews and was just going to buy online or travel to the MN location. However after doing some digging, I found most of these one star reviews were written during the peak of COVID. This store was required by their corporate office to only allow a certain number of people at a time. If they didnt make an appointment before coming to the store-they needed to wait in line. Totally acceptable as this company was simply trying to keep their customers and employees safe.When I went into the store I had an amazing experience. The store was clean, the associates were helpful and they recommended some of the styles that would best fit my body type. Bought 2 coats that are fantastic and worth the cost. Highly recommend.

My fairly new (1 or 2 year old) garment came back from the Canada Goose repair center with complete color losses everywhere. Its duller than ever. Because the entire color of my garment changed I cant wear it anymore.When I asked for an explanation of the discoloration of the jacket.I got immediately response from them: “The washing has been carried out in a very professional manner, whereby the real condition color of your garment has come up.” When I refuted this with photos and evidence, they indicate that it is not discoloration but dirt by own doing.Is this the way to make me buy a new one again?

I wanted to single out the fantastic level of Customer service provided by David. As a previous Canada Goose customer, looking to get a longer parka to complement my shorter Chilliwack bimber. David patiently answered al my questions, heDCsent me a video clip, and he is the apex of what customer service is about to the public.
Personally I own 6 Canada Goose coats and have been wearing this brand for a long time. That will stop as of today due to horrible experiences I had in the store as well as with the customer service.I went to the store few days ago after going through the hassle of making an appointment online. Once i got there there was a line of people that wanted to get into the store but they were no letting anyone in. (Not to mention how rude the guy at the door was to them). Since I had an appointment I was let in and once I entered the store there were 3 employees wondering around aimlessly and NOONE else. After shopping for a few minutes I asked the associate for some models and sizes and he was less than helpful, basically he didn’t know much about anything. So bad experience for a luxury brand and long time customer.Second, I recently sent a parka to customer service center for some minor re-stitching as the feathers started to fall out and have already been waiting for 2 months to get my coat back. I finally decided to contact them and I was informed that they have shut down their customer service work 2 weeks ago and that they will “hold” my coat until further notice. I was not notified about that delay and I guess I will have to wait for my coat to arrive in the spring when it is no longer needed. So I am done with this “wanna be luxury brand” and will spread the word to my friends to avoid it.

Upon the arrival of my item, we found the sizing to be too small for my sister. I ended up driving almost 40 minutes to the city(Chicago) to exchange my item, and the door clerk said that they would not be assisting. I’m incredibly disappointed as I’d already spent over $1100 to make my sister happy. I’m also disappointed as I assumed that the level of customer service would’ve reflected the amount of money that I’d just spent. I then called the online customer relations team and the representative also showed a major lack of care for my issue and failed to offer a solution that was suitable for my needs. Simply put, i just needed a bigger size and neither the in store team, nor the online team would assist me. Very nice product but their service is absolutely terrible.
Extremely rude store manager standing outside the building watching a crowd standing in line freezing so he can tell them to come back in 4 hours because we have 60 people ahead of us. I had a coat size L needed to be changed to size M, drove an hour and paid $26 for parking to be sent home. No information on the website or store front about it. I have 3 coats from Canada goose, I love them all but I’ll never shop there again unless that manager is gone.
Drove from Pittsburgh to visit my daughter and went to the Chicago store. I was having trouble deciding on a size of a jacket. Alex was amazing and helped me decided. I felt so much better leaving the store knowing I selected the correct size based off Alex expertise.
I went to CG with my friend last week and couldnt be happier for our experience with SODA! We walked into store and met Soda right away, he welcomed us warmly then asked if anything particular we were looking for. He showed us around and he is just a fun and friendly person to chat with! I wanted to buy a long parka but wasnt sure about the style or color. Soda was very helpful to make recommendations and suggested me to wear red for stand-out and celebrating Lunar new year~ I never thought to choose a bright color and wanted to go with Navy/Black as I went to the store but really glad he suggested it! I tried a couple jackets on, Soda was professional to give comments and background information for each of them. Finally, I walked out with a red Lorette

Terrible customer service. I’ve been waiting 4 days for an “ambassador” to call me back in order to literally give them my money for a jacket. Showed up at the store and they told me I couldn’t get in because I had to schedule an appointment. I mean... very confusing.
I brought my husband to DT Chicago for his 36th birthday to buy him a new Canada Goose jacket. When we got to the store they told us we could be put on the wait list and would have to wait about 3.5 hours. We were told once we got the text we only had 15 min to get to the store otherwise our spot would be given to someone else.It took us 20 min to walk from our hotel to the store once we got our text 4 hours later. We were told sorry you got here late.Horrible experience and will never be back. My money is better spent elsewhere.I do not recommend wasting your time here.
Horrible treatment by store manager. Don’t bother spending your money at this store. I have 4 Canada Goose coats/jackets. When I took one into the store to be shipped to their warranty service center for repair, the manager was absolutely terrible. The coat is over 5 years old, but this isn’t an issue because the warranty is lifetime. The manager of this store, that’s less than 3 years since opening, insisted I look up the transaction history to prove where I bought the coat (which was at Bloomingdale’s just a few blocks away. She refused to ship the coat to their repair center as she said it was missing a tag- it was not. She was insinuating the coat wasn’t real- trust me it is. The only reason I took the coat to the store is because their customer service said the store would ship it for free. The coat was bought from another merchant and she treated me like the coat was fake. It was a terrible experience. If the store manager can’t tell there own products then she’s useless. I asked her if the coat was an older model as mine was wouldIt have such a tag she is referring to- she admitted she didn’t know. I frustratedly left the store and walked two blocks away and mailed the coat in myself. If you want a Canada Goose coat, buy it from Bloomingdale’s or any other retailer except this store.
Yesterday they told me there was a 5 hour wait. I gave them my phone number and they told me they would text me 5 hours later. I asked them and they said that once they texted me I had 15 minutes to arrive. If I couldn’t make it, they would “see where we can go from there.” I was going to leave 4 hours and 45 mins later, but they texted me after 4 hours, so I wasn’t ready and couldn’t make it in 15 mins. I texted back saying I couldn’t make it and asked whether I could reserve a later spot, to which they replied “No sorry.” And that was it.If that’s how they “see where we can go from there,” then I’ll just take my money elsewhere.
I was taken aback when we had to wait in line to enter the store, but it was worth it! Limiting the number of customers in the store helped make it a much better and safer experience. As soon as you enter, you can find a friendly staff person to assist you. We were there because the zipper was stuck on a recently purchased jacket. Mari Rosas provided a couple of solutions regarding it; however, she ultimately fixed it for us. While she was fixing the zipper, we had time to peruse the store and the selections are fabulous. She cheerfully handled our size and color requests for a few items. She also gave us advice on how we can get the jacket fixed if this issue persists. Overall, I’d wait in line again to go here.By the way, you cannot return items purchased from the website at the store. I kindly ask Canada Goose to reconsider this policy. Also, please give Mari a raise!
Loved the store...a bit smaller than the one in Vancouver. First time visiting the store...sales staff were very attentive and friendly. Love their jackets...good quality and well made. They really do keep you warm based on the level of warmth you choose. Ended up buying two for myself!!! Pretty pricey for the jackets...they start from about $600 and up.
This is where to go if you’re having trouble finding the model and size you need because of their larger inventory relative to department stores. BUT don’t expect much friendly help from the employees on the floor. Yes they will bring you what you ask for but that will also come with a rolling of their eyes and obvious impatience on their part. I’ve been here three times, on two of these occasions we purchased an item (both $1k parkas) but the issue was that we wanted to try a couple of fits and sizes to make sure we had the best fitting option for what we were spending. Bottom line is that these coats are a luxury item and I think the staff should realize their job is to help customers find the item they feel most happy with.
I would give this store a 1 star rating if it weren’t for Christian- he was friendly, accommodating, and professional.The rest of the staff was very rude and didn’t want to help. The guy at the door was beyond rude and didn’t want to let anyone in the first time we were there. Very disappointed in the customer service.
While coats are good, the experience wasn’t the best. The people who work there give very little attention to customers in general. Looks like they are hanging out, not working. They would give you the coats you need, but wouldn’t provide any additional support, like different options, info about the coats, suggestions etc. I would’ve loved it if they just asked me whatever I like something or not and if they offered help whenever I seemed in doubt. These are expensive products and the client needs to be reassured even if it’s a highly popular one.Instead I had to do the effort to interrogate the person who is supposed to be selling the coat to me... Some staff don’t know info about their product and are quite rude when you ask them for that info.While I was already buying it, the lady at the counter was nice, but there was no additional verbal info on how to clean the coat, on how to use the warranty if needed after the purchase. One of the workers offered me water while I was waiting for a car. This is definitely a bonus, but come on: make your customers WHO REALLY CAME TO BUY something welcome during the actual try-on and purchase as well. I would’ve bought a more expensive one even, if I was given better customer care....

I was visiting from out of town and had a wonderful experience at this store. After seeing so many of these coats in the city, I stopped by to try on a few myself. Nick G. was so helpful and walked me through all of the colors, styles, and levels of heat protection. It was a really pleasant experience, and even though my size/color option wasnt available, he helped me find a way to get the coat that I needed. Ive learned a lot more about coats than I thought I would - and Ill definitely be coming back to CG in the future.
Totally bad experience. I come to there from Wisconsin for 3 hours drive. The doorman just told me that I could not enter the shop today and asked me to come back tomorrow. Such a ridiculous brand, Please bankrupt ASAP.

Canada Goose store us truly a warm hub for beautiful parkas. The location is super and convenient. Service is definitely high level. Their products are very high quality. I have more than one of their products and never been disappointed. So now I am using one of their really nice sweaters...so happy.Suggesting a stop to anyone to have a look.
Me and my wife were in the Chicago Downtown store last weekend. And she were looking at one of the parka that she were thinking about buying.And one of the sales person walk by and asked how she like it, my wife answered that” it’s a little heavy” and that salesman grabbed the jacket from my wife’s hand, put it back on the rack and walked away!Left my wife there. So we left without buying that parka..... because we feel mistreated.I believe that we will never buy anything from Canada Goose ever again!!!!!!
Zero wait so I mustve been lucky. Strolled right in around dinnertime on a weeknight the week before Christmas. Maybe a handful of people inside shopping. Nobody waiting outside. Service was very attentive and helpful, but Im surprised they didnt have most of their models in stock. Maybe too late in the season as many sell out. But at a Canada Goose store? By January all theyll have to sell is hangers. Left with a coat that I loved in the store, but it has been unseasonably warm, so I hope it holds up, or Ill be taking advantage of their return policy.

Nick was incredibly helpful both times we were in the store, even though it was right before the holidays and it was very hectic. He took the time to make sure that we got the perfect jackets amid all of the chaos. Everyone was friendly and were working to service customers and keep the store in tip top shape. I thought that there would be a customer survey on the bottom of the receipt so that he could receive credit from corporate, but I could not find one, or a link online! So hopefully this helps Nick get the credit he deserves.
This is the worse. Store. EVER! Lost my jacket, they couldn’t find it and it took them 7 weeks to say sorry we can’t do anything for you. List off the store managers that can’t do their job.1. If she were a guy, I’d knock the chip off her god damm shoulder.I recommend someone, anyone from corporate clean house in that store. The jackets are durable and look good. The staff is friendly and will go out of their way to help find the perfect jacket for you. Although, you might have to wait a little while if they dont have the size or color you want. But, it will be worth the wait. 😊

This is a brilliant case study and you have to give them credit for that - create a scarcity such that they freeze people out so long that you are desperate to buy a warmer coat in their store. I think the line is really inappropriate in the winter though - I waited outside just 30 minutes (it felt long and it was cold!) - thats enough to erase the mystique and the shine a little, so I think the strategy backfires a bit. They definitely need a bigger store or some space heaters for the line!
Jaylon is THE BEST salesman ever!!! I have to say I was initially annoyed standing outside in the cold waiting to get into the store but once we made it inside I completely enjoyed the entire experience. He went over & above! Wish I could take him home as my personal stylist!
Nice downtown store and the coats are amazing. But some employees are more interested in chatting with each other than helping out it seems. Kind of awkward service for the excruciating amount of $$ you’re spending there. And apparently if you ask to wear your jacket out of the store, they have to mark it in the system as non returnable because they’re taking the tag off. A bit scammy ay? And there’s a worker by the door with a poker face on who is acting like a Buckingham palace guard. Even they have more personality. Oh and he doesn’t help with the door. 🤷🏽♀️ I don’t get it.
Went to look and buy a jacket. The doorman stopped us as we were walking in and told us there was an hour and a half wait and to come back. What?!?! We were told they do one on one with a sales person. This was a big turnoff. I’m not waiting an 1.5hrs to spend $1,000.

Insanely expensive but I kept seeing the jackets all over Chicago so my curiosity got the better of me. Of course they are super nice which I would hope they would be for the price.
Very helpful and friendly employees. Make sure you go at the right time. We went at the end of the winter season and the most popular jackets had limited sizes and colors left. Also, the jackets appear to be good quality but be ready to pay for it.
Whenever I go staff are always very friendly! Their coats are very cozy and there is no way you cant keep warm on cold days! Like always stuff is very high quality and the store is very clean!
I wanted to go to this Canada Goose store and read the reviews first, got a little worried after reading the reviews but I still went anyway. Went about an hour after they opened and there was no said line. The door guys opened the doors for us and welcomed us in, and even offered chocolates. There was a handful of other customers in the store and I began to look around at the jackets not even having one in mind to look at. As I was looking at some parkas a sales associate asked if I needed help, told her I was just looking around. Then I asked the same sales associate a question and she told me the difference in jackets and the features of them. I kept looking around while holding a jacket around. after trying some other jackets I ended up buying the first one I asked the question about. Went to the cashier and got the jacket packed up and I was on my way, again door guys opened the door us. Overall it was a very good experience for spending 1000 on a jacket. Only complaint is they didnt have that much in stock for being a flagship store.

Store opens at 10 o’clock and at 10:03 it was a 30 minutes wait just to get see the jackets.Sale associate explained the wait is to get a designated sale person to help you find the right jacket and improve your experience, though I highly recommend to revisit the “stand in line ” policy cause that actually ruined the exprence.After the waiting, you are allowed to walk around and browse but if the jacket you want isn’t available then you waited for nothing,There is a wait time in Luis Vuitton but you get to walk around and see the store rather than actually wait in an actual lineThe old Apple store in Michigan is currently vacant, you can move to a bigger space or just let people have a normal shopping experience and not an “improved” one w/ an hour wait possibly for nothing.

Youll have to pay for the return and if needed, dry cleaning expenses (and who knows someones lunch and dinner).I bought a TEI 4 jacket about two weeks ago. during this time, the lowest Chicagos weather got to was -10°C (14F). This jacket kept me warm just like any $100 jacket would with one layer added.When the feels like temperature dropped to -20°C (-4F) with one knitted sweater underneath it, I FROZE in the cold!! When I was buying this jacket, I was told I wouldnt need layering with this jacket, otherwise, how its gonna be different from a cheap jacket.So I go to the store to exchange it with a bigger size so I can layer up and survive in the cold. They examine the jacket and say sorry its not in the original condition.
Horrible service. Try to ask warranty about my jacket. The first server walked away because he got impatient. The second server still cant give me a satisfied answer and trying to send me away by offering me a Canada goose shopping bag?!!!!! Excuse me?!!!!! Its such humiliation. I like the jackets. Absolutely terrible experience with Canada Goose brand . We bought a red parka for my wife and after a month (!) that jacket was looking terrible: black zipper start to loose its black paint, sleeve seams became white (lost red color), back panel was flat like there’s no down fill at all. We’ve send that parka to warranty center,- and first they charge you $50 (or more) for cleaning that item!! You wait approximately 2 weeks ( at winter you’ll stay without your 1k jacket for 2-4 weeks) for its cleaning and inspection and then they send you an email with decision. Canada Goose said that the jacket is fine, no reason for replacement, they just re-stiched sleeves seams, put some down fill into back panel and after a month of waiting we’ve received that jacket back!So if you’re fine that your 1k parka start to loose its paint and color or miss a down fill go ahead and buy it. But you’ll need one more jacket to wear while your Canada Goose will be on repair..People, try to buy Moose Knuckles, Mackage, Stone Island, The North Face or Armani jacket instead
The waiting is ridiculous. Even the Colombia store has 2 floors. This place sells $900 coats and its as big as the corner store by my house. I dont need to be walked to the racks. Ive been shopping all my life, I can find what Im looking for on my own.I get having to do some kind of crowd control for a store this tiny, but forcing a 1 on 1 is unreasonable. Maybe set a max number of people in-store at once or something, all this hand holding is ridiculous.
Tried to buy a parka there, but there was a lgood be outside, and only about 5 customers in the store, all tourists trying in everything and taking selfies; was told the line to get in would take an hour, even though only 12 people were in front of us. We went during the summer and the store was very busy, but now they only allow a few people in at a time right before peak shopping season? How rude, the coats are nice, but we will buy them elsewhere.

If I can give 0 stars I will. Worst line management policy I have ever encountered. Manager probably never took a business class. Make you wait outside in the cold ... the official reason is “so retail personnel can provide personalized shopping experience.” In reality it is just trying to create impression of shortage for $1000+ outerwear AND protect merchandise from being mishandled in the shop. There will be more complaints!!! Just google and you will find that their outerwear is neither as high quality as they peddle. Also beware worst return policy ever! Shop at your peril from this store!
Walked into the store last monday and i was greeted by a worker who guided me around. It was awkward because I didnt know what to say, but they were able to help me try on the parkas. Go during the summer where its less crowded folks.

Not customer friendly at all. I went in expecting to leave with a new, very expensive coat. I wanted to spend money!! Nobody helped me although I did get very close to staff twice as they shoved me out of their way. After 10 minutes I walked out. Certainly not the shopping experience I expected from the brand.
The jacket was exactly what I wanted, and they we’re so nice. The services was great and they even offered water.

Horrible service. I went there at 4:45 and the guy at the door told me they were closing at 5 and wouldnt let me in. I told him Id be in and out before 5 (just wanted to look at a coat I was thinking about buying online) and he was really rude and still wouldnt let me in. Gave my business to Northface instead and they were great.

You have to stand inline to get into the store even if there are only six customers in the store. So they want you to spend 1000 bucks and wait as well. I took my business to Burberry and discovered their down jackets are warmer. The service at Burberry is excellent, you spend 1.5 times as much you are treated with respect and the product is excellent. I spent 5k at Burberry over the weekend. Nice job Canada Goose keep people waiting.

Rude staff, they think they are superior than others cuz they work at Canada Goose. Treat their customers like trash. About those parkas, theyre overrated and over priced, Im amazed by their marketing team, excellent job! Whats so special about those parkas anyway?You want a parka that could catch eyes? Try brands like ArcTeryx, Fjallravrn, Helly Hansen and Moncler next time.

Everything you would expect from a luxury outfitter. Helpful workers, a clean and organized atmosphere, and a variety of premium products to choose from.
If you like very high priced down wear, in a slightly snobby atmosphere, youll love it. Not saying the quality isnt primo, just saying the prices are as well.
