Phenomenal taste to their chicken. Seriously, you can’t beat this kind of freshness either...The owner was so kind to me, he let me come in the back and pick a bird. Then seeing my interest, he let me come in the processing area and see how they run things. The guys in the back were happy to show me what they do. It was super interesting and he was really proud of it! He gave me a great price, $15 dollars even for a big rooster, prepared what they call “Chinese Style”: or with the head and legs still attached.They de-feathered and cleaned the inside of the bird, leaving those precious organs you can’t get at the super market washed and ready to cook.Tip: don’t bring a vegan with you and DON’T wear your best shoes if you plan on walking behind the counter to select a bird. There is livestock and heavy equipment involved guys, it can get a bit messy.I recommend this place for all immigrants who need poultry that reminds them of home.

As a previous reviewer noted, not for the squeamish or faint of heart. That being said, and I would also agree with that same reviewer, it makes you appreciate more the turkey that’s being served at your Thanksgiving dinner. The staff at Alliance was warm and welcoming and their turkey is amazing. We plan to make this our tradition moving forward. I’d highly recommend them to anyone who serves up the traditional bird for their holiday. They had lots of chickens also, so we’ll have to come back for that.

The two brothers who own alliance poultry farms are super nice and make you feel very welcome. There birds are always very nice looking and healthy, there prices are much cheaper then any other poultry shop in Chicago!

Nice place for live chicken and the prices are comparable. They were friendly and explained to me the process. Quick service too. They have Chicken, Quail, Rabbits, Ducks and other that i didnt get to see.

I highly recommended this place. There is not odor inside of the place. They have great customer service and the chickens seem fresh. Also they are bilingual.

I live in the near west suburbs but made the trip here to have my 3 backyard egg laying hens readied for the stock pot. Friendly service and as clean as a poultry shop in the city can be. I would definitely bring my chickens here again.

I bought my red orpington from here for a cheap price and there great with customers and my hen is fat healthy lays eggs twice daily. Compared to the place on armitage n Levitt dont EVER go there the two birds I bought from there were too expensive n they were sick n died 👿
