Sarah is amazing! I had purchased my dress at a boutique that closed down a few months later and was advised to go to Sarah for alterations. I was very concerned about a seam that was showing on my dress and she knew just how to fix it and quickly! She also did all of the alterations on my gown and made it fit perfectly. Sara is amazing! I took a dress for fitting and alterations in December and I love the final result. She is very knowledgeable and with just a quick look at your dress she already knows what to do! She was also very fast and made me feel very comfortable with her. The fitting was perfect at the end and the dress was amazing! She also added a beautiful belt and made my veil! Everything was nicely and quickly done and Id definitely recommend the store! Unfortunately I still dont have all my wedding photos but here are just a few to show how gorgeous everything was!

Sara is absolutely amazing! She is so kind and extremely knowledgeable. I came in with a bit of a disaster of a dress. My mother had tried to alter it but it was a mess. Sara knew right away how to fix it and explained to me why it wasn’t fitting right and how she could correct the problems. My dress came out beautifully! So glad I found Sara. She is a lifesaver.

She offered valuable suggestions like enhancing the slit in the dress and even threw in a veil I didnt know I wanted. She was right. It completed the look. The bodice of my dress is a masterpiece. I had a faja that needed to be take in. My faja is from Tributo and has rods in it like a corset. She was able to remove 3 inches from the waist without compromising the placement of the rods or compression in my hips! I’m never going anywhere else for my faja alterations! AMAZING!!

I rarely get my clothes dry cleaned or tailored, so looking for a place to tailor my work clothes seemed like a daunting task. Luckily, I found Luminous International! Sara is kind, works quickly and efficiently, and knows what shes doing. I needed suits tailored for work and she did a perfect job! The suits are fitting, comfortable for serving, and also look fantastic on me now. I had these tailored in September, and they are holding up very well 6 months later. Thank you again, Sara!

WOW! The best kept secret in Chicago! I have used the most high end tailoring and stumbled upon this place as it was an emergency and the only tailor I could find willing to do a rush order at 8:30pm. She blew me away, and I will only be using her from here on out. I can’t say enough good things about this shop!! Can’t wait to go back.

Sarah was absolutely great! I bought a dress off the rack at the last minute which was more than twice size bigger than my size. Sarah transformed the dress through multiple fitting and made it perfectly fit on me. Almost like a magic.

I had an amazing experience here. They were super helpful and friendly. This was my 5th place I came to try on dresses and honestly the entire dress process has not been my favorite. However here I felt like a true bride and very special. I ended up loving and buying the first one I tried on, and even loved several others. The one I chose was exactly what I was looking for and it was $1700 under my allowed budget which who doesn’t love that?!
