I wish I could give them no stars because this place is so unprofessional the owner is a Liar she Lied to me several times during the process I paid her 50% of the deposit which was required at the time of the order and the balance the day of pick up. The day of pick up my order was not ready and they refused to refund me my money my event was the next day so it was no need for them remind you I put my order in a month and half in advance it was no communication during the whole process not one phone call or email until the time of pick up I would not recommend them to anyone ever

I just love these ladies! So creative and the work they do is amazing, you have to go see for yourself. I watched them create amazing balloons in minutes!!

Service is extremely terrible got a bad quality pillow and it was so terrible you couldn’t even tell it was a person, the figure looked like a black shadow, and couldn’t even get the pillows remade to my liking at least or a refund at, then the owner Ms.Shawndel offered to give me a remake for half off and they still came out the exact same way as before with a different picture and the same one as before and didn’t even verify if liked them or not or telling me that they looked the way they did, first and last time ever coming here 🤦🏽‍♂️

We ordered a gender reveal balloon, it was beautifully decorated and it was a hit with all of our guests! Shawndel was extremely professional, easy to work with and prompt. Owner is unprofessional, inconsiderate of her customers time and money due to being late and not even having my ALREADY PAID for order READY at the time I SCHEDULED for pick up! It was bad enough the store was closed when I arrived at 12 like I scheduled but then had to wait another 15 minutes for her to show up! She LACKS good customer service skills and has a bad attitude! 1 time was all I needed to be disappointed and never going back. Have another event coming up next month and thought of this place...of course I immediately changed my mind and remembered that I forgot to add my review from 2 years ago.

A balloon is just a balloon right? Wrong! When it comes down to the work this lady provides nothing that Ive ever seen compares to her work.Upon my initial phone call it was the most pleasant one. The Owner asked me a ton of questions, and also requested that I bring in photos of the inside & outside of my home, so that she can creatively understand the vision.Id have to admit that I read the reviews before calling to set up the appointment. During my appointment she was very professional & she allowed me to ask as many questions as I could possibly ask.If you know like I know, there is always two sides to every story. I am the type of person that will give someone the benefit of the doubt for that very reason.SHE ROCKED MY SONS PROM!!!!! OH MY GOD SHE DID HER THING!!!!I am elated with the entire experience. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I can tell that a balloon isnt just a balloon to you. I can also tell that throughout all of what you go through with the most unpleasant Customers, you still manage to brush it off, stand back up, and create a masterpiece.

I have used this shop several times for different events. I have had large displays for the front of my house to my moms office being decorated for her retirement to small bouquets for my table for a birthday display. They have all been super experiences which is why I keep going back. Shawndel has always been friendly and eager to fulfill my wishes and to stay within my budget. All displays a have been beautiful and well made. I have found a shop that I will continue to use for my party and decorating needs. Thank you Dream Creations for always answering the call!

2 years ago i contacted the owner 2 days before my event. She accepted the task and did an excellent job with the purple balloon display for domestic violence. She was professional timely and very creative with the set up. I have used her several times during the past 2 years and would not trust anyone else with my events. She is definitely the Balloon Queen who has mastered her craft. Wishing you much more success!

Spent $50 on balloons for prom send-off one of the largest balloons busted less than an hour after bringing home. I called expecting better customer service and I was told, you can come back and buy another one. The balloons are not expected to hold up to warm weather. It was not hot outside. I just expected more. Would not buy there again.

If you can think it or dream it she can create it! When ordering her balloon decorations for baby showers, proms, weddings & other events you dont have to worry about anything... shes there very prompt & organized. Youll definitely be satisfied!

This place is extremely unprofessional. We order balloons 2 days before our event, we went to go pick them up they were not done, the owner had the nerve to get upset with us. Then once my mother told her about herself, she got upset went to her car and got a GUN‼️‼️ She pulled out a gun on my mother because she didn’t have the balloons ready. I tried to support a black business in the community. I spent hundreds of dollars with this business. The balloons arrived late, they looked old, and the color was of poor quality. My guests laughed at the balloons. They ruined my event. I will not patronize this business ever again, nor would I recommend them. Poor quality and late service.

I love the dedication and heart this company put into my grand opening and since then I have used and recommended them for many jobs. They are creative and have original ideas.cthey can take your vision and expound on it to come to even more than you expected. This place is very unprofessional, I ordered a bouquet of Shopkins balloons and was told order will be ready for pick up at 1pm day of party, walk into the establishment at 3pm and NOTHING aid done. Family member also brought in 24 balloons to be blown up and was told to pick them up in 1hr, like wise at 3:30pm (2hrs later) balloons are still sitting on counter top in package...NOTHING blown up. Then on top of that owner tells me over the phone Im busy Ill have to call u back when Im done doing what Im doing VERY UNPROFESSIONAL &a RUDE.

These people. When I got home the balloons were in a knot and I only live 8 blocks away and at least 5 of us tried to untie them. Then they deflated during the party. I paid for 4 bouquets but because she tied the strings up in knots I only had 2 because we couldnt seperate them. They made me pay for 4 weights and bags for the Balloons 1 dollar each to put the balloons in that they put in for me so I didnt see that she tied them in knots like a Dummy then the Owner had the nerve to tell me that they werent supposed to be put in bags after they made me pay for them and she was there when I picked them up . She said she need something to make them stay up and not deflate but that they lasted 24 hours at least but she didnt have it. They supposedly put helium in them but Ive never seen this kind if helium that lasts only 8 hours. This business is awful and unprofessional. I will never use them again I wont even let anybody I know use them. Shes lucky they werent expensive or she would be in Small Claims. She offered no solution to my problem even though I called her within 30 minutes after receiving the Balloons with the knots.

The owner of the shop Shawndel is very rude and unprofessional. She walked into my event late with a very nasty attitude and decorations that looked like a 3 year old did them. I was very dissatisfied with the quality of the work and Shawndels nasty disposition. I would not reccomend my worst enemy to this place. Im sure will not be in business much longer. I was trying to support a local black business and she made this a horrible experience

Let me first start by saying Im a well educated young woman who holds Bachelors of Science in Paralegal Studies, National Paralegal Certification, and 2 classes from obtaining a Masters of Science in Legal studies, and hold a job with one of the largest business firms here in Chicago.I ordered balloons from Dream Creations based on a family referral, I sent a picture of what I wanted and was assured by Shawndel this is what I would get. I placed my order over the phone with Shawndel 2 weeks before my event, giving her specifics on what I needed. I provided the date and address and TIME of my event. I was told I would would receive my delivery between 1 and 2pm the day of my event. I was also charged a delivery fee and 10% tax on my order, mind you the tax percent in Chicago is 9.25% but I didnt make a issue. I was told I have to find a way to get her stands used for my order back to her business within 72 hrs, which Im sure wouldnt even fit in my car.The day of my event I called Shawndel at 1:55pm and asked about my delivery, I was told no we have you down for 3 o clock, but we can have it there in 5 minuets. Oh no I didnt know you were in Midlothian we will get it there as soon as possible. How can you tell me you have me down at 3, but you dont even know where I am, clearly this was a moment of confusion on her part but I said okay. She called back and apologized, but told me she dont usually take orders online, however I did not place a order online, I placed the order with her over the phone. Also she requires a 50% deposit, I paid her in full at the time of my order. 30 minutes later the balloons arrive with her husband, and they were nothing like what I asked for. They were also poorly constructed, I could see spaces in what shouldve been an ice cream column, so the poles used were visible, the colors I asked for were not used and at this point were an hr into my party. I calmly called Shawndel and told her Im not sure where the communication was lost but this is not what I ordered, I also began to explain the terrible construction of the product and was cut off by her saying you can send them back and receive a refund. I said okay and returned to the gym where my party was held and told her husband to remove the balloons. Monday morning, I send her a follow up message asking for confirmation of a refund ans was told I need to dispute this with the holder of my card due to the legal advice of her attorney.This is a business, you are paid for goods and services, you took the goods back to your store, you offered a full refund, we entered a verbal agreement over the phone for a specific services at a specific time which was VOIDED once you were late and not present at the agreed upon time and location, so why wouldnt you return my money. She offered the refund which is why I agreed, I called her to explain my dissatisfaction, I never once asked for a refund. From our first conversation about her being late she asked if I wanted to cancel my order, I told her then I wanted my balloons, and this is not what I got. Now Im in a dispute with my bank to receive my money back, I asked Shawndel multiple times to provide her attorney information in which she never responded to. This is bad customer service, bad business practice, and a owner who refuses to return money she received even though I didnt have the product. She could have simply resolved this by saying sorry, returning half of my money and leaving the balloons, but she chose this route and now refuses to give me my money. Please be advised and look elsewhere. Shes also highly priced for things you can get cheaper and better here in Chicago, shop around!

Let me begin by saying that Shawndel Brown is the OWNER. Her review of her business should be taken with a grain of salt. That means only of these reviews are valid. :)So, before Valentines someone shared a flyer from Dream Creations Gift Boutique with these beautiful V-Day baskets. I told my Valentine I wanted one and he complied. The poor man spent $50 on the $39 product, then $40 for shipping. What I got were THE cheapest items ever. They had the nerve to tell him that they were not responsible for the catastrophe & that a full refund wouldnt be allowed because the items had been delivered; though they did refund him the EXCESSIVE cost of shipping. The owner also messaged me and asked that I not write a nasty review because theyre a struggling, black, small business (as if it matters when you have poor business practices). The whole thing came in a poorly taped Dollar Tree box. The balloon was busted, the box of chocolates was cheap, everything had one, single piece of bubble paper wrapped around it. Im pretty sure that, aside from the Yellow Tail, every item they sent me was purchased at Dollar Tree. I couldve created this gift basket myself & saved him $80. I shared pics of what I received on the Facebook page.2/19 Update: Ms. Shawndel (owner) has taken it upon herself to continue emailing my friend, asking him to have me take down my review because its going to ruin the business. One bad review does NOT an empire destroy. I urge people to make their own choices and not base them on this one review. There are several other reviews below mine that appear to be pretty good. What I WILL add, however is that after spending all morning emailing Ms. Shawntel back and forth I couldnt be more disgusted. I wont post the emails here, but she is a very poor business woman and my personal recommendation is to purchase higher quality, equally priced gifts from other places if you can. I have shared my experience, pictures, and emails with multiple people already. Its the reason there are so many LIKEs on this review.
