It is one of the best shop around here. They are clean, organized. I left my car with heavy damages and they take care it really well. Job was really good and i left really happy from the shop. Their prices is really good and they do quality job on time. You can also drink water and coffee while you waiting your car.

I used to go to this shop 2+ years ago when I owned a car, and was always happy with how fairly I was treated and how quickly their services were preformed. Flash forward to present day and I now live two blocks away and have a new car. The screw for the license plate base was stripped and I couldnt get it out. I am 7.5 months pregnant and was in a rush to get to an appointment, so I figured Id stop by to see if they could help me in my moment of desperation. Three very kind gentleman took the time to reset the base and install my new license plate... all without charging me for their time. I highly recommend this shop for all your needs, both standard & strange, small & large!

Wow!! I feel like Im driving a brand new car! I cannot say enough good things about this repair shop. Pricing was very reasonable and they fixed all of the body work I needed from parking on Chicago streets. New bumper, painted and repaired my dented fender AND fixed a very difficult ding on one of my doors! Other places said the door would need to be replaced because the dent was on a curve that wouldnt easily come out - NOT Armitage, they managed to get it out and repainted the door. Looks like nothing ever happened. Amazing!!! Take your vehicle here!!

Manager or owner whoever that is answers the phones should be fired. Learn how to talk to costumer first. She is so rude. And hang up phones on you. Nobody wears masks and expensive place! wouldn’t recommend

The folks here are very straight-forward and transparent with your car troubles and what repairs are needed. After my cars check engine light came back on after they already made repairs, they took it back no questions asked and fixed the problem. Further diagnosis revealed a bigger (likely more expensive) issue and they made the repairs at no additional cost. I would absolutely recommend them for any of your auto repair needs.

Is that really how you answer a phone at a business? I didnt even bother asking my question because the woman was rude for no reason. A professional front desk will get you more customers. Good luck.

Ive brought my car here to do brakes (pads and rotors for all 4 wheels) and body work. Pricing is a bit higher than I expected especially for the body work but I do like the manager (Leo). It seems body work is not done on site so prepare to add a few miles to your car as they drive it to a different body shop. Ive also had to have touch-ups done to body work due to unsatisfactory results the first time.Im unsure if I will be returning for further work to my car mostly due to cost and consistency.

They did a great job and completed the work the next day on replacing my rear bumper. The woman who works in the front is very friendly and quick about letting me know my car was finished. Without charging extra they even buffed out unsightly scratches on my front bumper and both doors. It really does look like new. I would definitely go back and reccomend them.

I have been looking for a mechanic in the city for a few months now and decided to check BBB for a few recommendations that were close to my home and work. After reading all of the stellar reviews I decided to finally push my anxieties aside and bring my car into the guys at Armitage Auto Repair and Body Shop. I called ahead of time to see if I needed an appointment (I didnt) and dropped off my car with a quick explanation of the problem. Leo was incredibly nice and efficient. I got a phone call the next day and an email with the issues. We gave him the go ahead and he had the car ready fast and kindly worked with me (and my dad) on the budget I had in place.These guys are now my mechanic in the city and I could not be more relieved to have found a reliable and honest shop. Fast, affordable and great communication. I came here at the suggestion of a friend and I’m glad I did! Got my brake pads changed, brake fluid replaced and transmission fluid changed. For about 400, every other place was asking about 900+. They also mentioned that they also do free estimates. I’m thankful I found this shop!!

My car was making a rattling noise so I called Armitage Auto and was greeted with a friendly voice. I spoke to Harry and he told me to bring my car right in. I arrived and was out within the hour! This place is beyond amazing!. Not only did they fix my air conditioning system in less than 24 hours (it took the dealership over a week just to tell me what was wrong with it and then said it would take another 3 days to fix) but they did it for literally 1/3 of the price I was quoted by the dealership and nearly 1/2 the cost of what other auto repair shops quoted me. And as a nice touch, I came back to a clean car both interior and exterior!!! I wont be taking my car anywhere else from now on for repairs. The brothers, who I believe are also the owners, are not only informative and helpful but have wonderful customer service. Strongly recommend this place.

My car is old (22 years to be exact). I took it Armitage Auto Repair for bodywork after I was hit by someone that I am pretty sure was texting and driving. I was pretty emotional when I went to Armitage because I didnt want the insurance company to total out my car. Armitage assured me the car could be fixed for a reasonable amount. They were not lying. Armitage gave me the lowest estimate (I contacted 6 places including 4 from the insurance company). Not only did Armitage have the best prices but they were the friendliest (i.e., they did not pressure me to make a decision right away or try to upsell me on anything. They gave me an estimate and told me to contact them if I had any questions.).I picked up my car yesterday and all I can say is WOW! Armitage did a fantastic job. My car (its a 1997 Toyota Tercel) looks better than it did the day I purchased it. Armitage pulled out the dent and painted the area that was damaged. Although it was not included in the estimate, Armitage painted the entire side of the car (the side panel on the back of the car was hit). The owner (I think her name is Melana) said she wanted it to be perfect, so she instructed the painters to paint the entire side of the car. Armitage didnt even charge me for the extra work. That was generous in and of itself because it was very difficult for them to match the paint (right now my car is green but it use to be white, so it wasnt an easy job).As crazy as this sounds, Im glad I got hit. Not only does my car look better than it did before but I found an experienced mechanic that I trust. As a single female with absolutely no experience with cars, that is invaluable. Armitage didnt care that my car was 22 years old or that I had major drama with the rental car company (i.e., a review on Enterprise will be going live shortly). Armitage put their best people on the job and it shows. They even made sure that my rent a car drama was fixed before they started working on the car (they didnt want to leave me without a car). I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Armitage Auto Repair and Body. They are the best in the business and you will not be disappointed.

I could not be happier that I found this place. I live in the southwest suburbs, and I would gladly take my car here 10/10. Not only were the prices FAR MORE reasonable, than other quotes I had been receiving, but they were FAST and PROFESSIONAL. As a person who tends to beat up cars, I am angry at myself for not finding this place sooner.

Having newly moved to the city I had to find a place to take my car to. The first 2 car shops I tried gave me estimates of $1,500 and $1,300. Armitage auto repair and body shop looked and quickly gave me the price of $750. What I loved was that it was a woman who was running this place. She is so nice and effecient. I myself am a female and I dirve a pink car so needless to say id unfortunately be a good candidate to be taken advantage of at a car shop. This place not only had the best price but they also fixed a big scratch that wasnt part of my other scratch at no extra cost. They matched my paint color beautifully and did it in only 3 days. These people rock! I am so happy to have found a car shop I can trust and feel good giving my business too. Highly reccomend! Thanks

One of the best experiences I have ever had when dealing with a mechanic....I know very little about cars and always afraid of getting ripped off but Leo and his parnter, I believe his name was Harry, made me feel comfortable and did the work my car needed for nearly a third of what two other places wanted to charge ...mainly because they did only what was truly needed...the other two shops wanted to charge me for unnecessary work and to top it off Leo was able to point out a ball joint issue ... something the other two shops did not find ... considering they wanted to do unnecessary work one would think they would have found a real issues to repair ... from this point on they will be the only mechanic I use ... Im bringing my wifes Prius in this week to replace both front spindles...I expect more of the same from them ... professional work ...honest prices and speedy reliable repuars !! Will update my experience when the Prius is repaired ....Highly recommend this place !!
