Paid to have issue with car resolved. Same day after picking vehicle up problem returned. Took car back today for them to tell me that they found the problem( which they told me yesterday was fixed) and that I would need to pay additional money. How is it that yesterday I paid after confirmation from the mechanic that my problem was fixed and today the problem has now been found and payment from yesterday does not go towards the problem supposedly found today and its a separate charge. The problem was never fixed yesterday clearly if Im right back at the shop the very next day with the same problem. Would NEVER do business again with this place. Money paid problem still remains. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS FOR CAR REPAIRS.

Took my sons car in for an electrical problem. Four weeks later still not fixed.I had my car worked on when they first opened up . A young man named Mike took care of me . I was very happy with the service. When I dropped off my sons car I asked if Mike was still around. I was told yes just not in that day. Just found out Mike left some time ago. Maybe they are ok for minor repairs. Not sure . I would avoid this place.

Quality service at a fair price. Very clean garage. And they are very flexible when it comes to schedules. Mike really knows his stuff. Everyone in the family has stopped in his garage before. Very friendly local place.

Mike, the owner is the best! He is a highly skilled mechanic and is quick to call you back for updates on the status of your vehicle. He goes out of his way to help out/give great advice as much as possible. For example, he drove with me to get gas to check out the leak in the neck of my gas tank. Unique automotive did an excellent job servicing the timing belt on my car. I was given a prompt and fair quote for the work required and the service was completed within the promised time frame. Mike even did some work to remove a rattling bolt from underneath the car included in the service! I highly recommend Unique automotive and will bring my vehicles back for my next service.

Paid to diagnose an issue with my seats motor. I was told I needed to replace the seat because it had a bad motor and could not be repaired. Quoted me around 600 total. Another shop fixed the wiring for under 100. Charging me for work I didnt need. However, their customer service is good.

My mother-in-law and I both had our brakes serviced and replaced here less than a year ago, but have rusted from lack of lubrication when initially installed. After getting second options from our neighbor who owns a shop on Stony Island and works for Chevy and a friend who owns his own shop outside the city, we also surmised we were overcharged for all the services we received. I hesitated to write a bad review earlier, but after learning today that both our brakes have rusted after less than a year, I feel the need to warn people to either get a second option or go somewhere else. It’s overall disappointing because this shop is walking distance from me. Neither my MIL or I mind paying for good service, but it seems that is not what we received. Will not be back and loss of business for a fast profit is never sustainable long-term. Oh well. Lesson learned.
