Called asked if I could stop by for a quick oil change and if they weren’t busy. Waited 5 hours for after they initially told me 2. Even the front desk people were in awe at how long I was waiting for a simple task that next time I’ll do myself. Don’t recommend at all.

Recently, I took my car in, due to tire issues. I was assisted by Gilbert; whom personally took the time to assess my tires. He took pictures and I felt that he provided genuine and honest feedback regarding the condition of my tires. He was informative and provided timely updates regarding the status of my car. The time my vehicle was being serviced was adequate given the size of the job. In observing the other interactions between the other agents and their customers, the agents were friendly, professional, and empathetic. I plan to return for any future tire needs. Been here multiple times, quality of service is excellent.Encountered some frustrating communication and billing problems during my last visit, but the manager apologized profusely about it and made things right by taking $300 off my bill.I currently expect to keep having my car serviced here.

Needed a leaking tire fixed and given the mileage on them, figured it was time to swap all four out. Called on a Sunday morning, was able to get an appointment for that afternoon. Finished earlier than expected. Martin was terrific to work with. Fair pricing. Very pleased with the purchase. Professional and efficient service.

Not using pep boys anymore. It used to be really handy to have this shop right here, but something has changed in the last year. I took my car in for a oil change and rotation. Shop told me I also needed to have the control arms and a rear strut replaced, as well as a coolant flush. Since my care is almost at 100k I believed them. Asked if they could do the work while they had he vehicle and I was put on hold for over 10 min. I called back thinking had gotten lost in the shuffle at a busy shop and i was hung up on. I gave it two hours and called back and I was immediately put back on hold. Ended up walking over to the shop about n hour before they closed to finally get info on the repairs.They quoted $1800 for maybe $500 worth of parts and maybe 5-6 hours worth of work. Even at the claimed labor rate of $150 an hour that math doesnt make sense.

I have never had such abysmal (non-)service on my car before. I am posting this as a warning to anyone considering trying to go to this location to seriously, truly, stay away.The TL;DR: Had appointment. Waited 8 HOURS. Car was never serviced, and was held hostage the entire day preventing us from getting the flat tire fixed at a reputable place. Possible damage to car due to prolonged wait.The Story:We had a 10am appointment for a simple flat tire repair, and got to the location at 9:50am. When we got to the front of the line, we were told there were approx 10 cars in front of us and that it would be a couple hours. We called at 1pm and were told it would be a couple more hours - note that this is 3 full hours after it was dropped off for our appointment, and there were theoretically only 10 cars. At this point Im sure the car tire was completely flat, sitting in their parking lot possibly incurring damage.We called again at 3:30pm (5 and a half hours after our appointment time!), and were told there were 3 cars before they would reach us. How does it take you 5 and a half hours to go through only 7 cars?!We made a final call at 5:30pm, and were told that they STILL hadnt gotten to our car. At this point the car had been sitting all day on a flat tire, which would have been at most a 10-15 minute repair job if they had just done it at our appointment time. Frustrated and concerned about the damage being done to the tire and wheel while sitting flat in their parking lot, we came and got the keys back at 6pm, EIGHT FULL HOURS after our appointment time. Eight hours to get through less than 10 cars is shameful.Please go anywhere else for your tire needs. All Day Tire Shop on Division was fantastic - quick and knowledgeable - and I highly recommend them. Ive had previous great experiences with Discount Tire in another state. This company is horrific, and doesnt deserve your business.

DO NOT GO. I’ll start by saying I’ve never written a review. Normally don’t check them either because everyone has bad days. Whatever.Car was brought in Wednesday morning with an appointment. No call all Wednesday. Thursday I called SEVERAL times for a simple update and was put on hold or told they would call back and never did. Ended up not getting looked at until Friday. Not done till Saturday. Not going to write a novel but stay away from here unless you like to be in the dark and have a week for a simple fix. One star is too much

This is my first review I have ever left. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Dont waste your time at this location. Terrible service. I made an appointment and they had me waiting almost 3 hours and still hadnt started on my car. Mind you it was just 1 tire change. When I asked he siad there were other cars ahead of me. But he fialed to realize that I overheard that he let one of his friend in front of me. Just stay away and dont give this place your buisness.

Ive had good experiences at Pepboys locations before, hence Ive been a repeat customer over the last few years and appreciated their service. Well none of that applies here at the Logan Square location as staff is unprofessional, lack customer service skills and will try to price gouge every chance they get. After being serviced at this location a few times, I no longer trust them.My car had a missing hubcap when I brought it in for tire repair this week. After picking it up I notice slight damage toward the rear, and the repaired tire is now also missing a hubcap (as well as air pressure cap. I mean how sloppy is it when a tire shop doesnt put the pressure caps on?) I stop back in to the shop to see if my hubcap was lying around somewhere (not even going to bring up the damage) I was told that the car only had two hubcaps when I dropped it off and that I should call the manager. The manager told me he was going to check the cameras to see what happened and call me back. Its been two full days now and still Ive heard nothing.Its a shame that this shop has such a great, central location in the city as Im sure thats why they stay busy, its certainly isnt for quality of service or customer care. The treatment here is a tarnish on the Pepboys brand.Seriously the experience at this location is like being in some kind of Bill Murray nightmare. You drop your car off for repairs, and when you go to pick it up a few hours later the attendant is wearing one of those goofy fake-nose and mustache disguises and is like Oh no, we dont repair cars here. Are you sure you brought it here? Because we dont have your vehicle.Ridiculous. If you are unfortunate enough to land at this location be sure to take photos of every side of your car before dropping off. to make sure its returned in the same condition. Dont expect any accountability from the staff or management if you cant prove they damaged it.

I’ve taken my car here about 5 times. 3 have been for oil changes and 2 because I thought something was wrong with my car. They do good work, but always take a long time. I always plan to drop the car off and go to work or do all my shopping while I wait.

The fix we needed for our car was done but when we gave them our car we were told that it would take 30-40 minutes - it seemed really optimistic but we figured theyd know best. Then we received no update for over 2 hours. The associate who gave us a 40 minute timeframe wasnt around and no one else bothered to give us an update and even the ones we got when we followed up werent clear. We wouldve appreciated the honesty at least so as to avoid our sitting around in anticipation.Please do not reply with this asking me to send an email like you have for others reviews. Instead, work with your team to understand their constraints better or to train them better. In reading the reviews, apparently I wasnt the only one who had to wait this long for a tire replacement or repair.

Went there to have a part replaced. Not only did they have me sit there for an hour, they didnt even replace the part.... AND charged me for what they didnt do! When I called they said, they werent the one that took the order from me so they assumed everything went as planned. What a horrible business.

Charged me $111 for a diagnostic fee to release my car back to me even though they did not fix anything. At NO POINT before performing said diagnostic, which took TWO DAYS for them to get around to, did they disclose there would be this fee. Very dishonest and shady business practices.

I waited 45 minutes for them to look at my tire for 5 seconds and tell me they couldnt fix it cause of their policy which really just exists because they want to sell you a new tire. Total waste of time even though I had an appointment. I took my car to a different place 2 minutes away and they fixed it for even less money and less time.

Very disorganized, no communication, terrible customer service.Tried to simply buy a new set of tires, it took three trips, loss of vehicle for 4 days, and now Im left with a weird clicking noise in my wheel and Pep Boys denying any responsibility after holding my vehicle for four days (but never calling me). My recommendation go anywhere else. I went here (the location on Elston), for the first time today. I was getting an oil change service. I had an appointment. It was estimated to take an hour and a half. I figured if it was a good place I have them look at my horn since it has stopped working twice in 2 years. An hour and half passed and no word, I went and asked about my car and they went and found out it hadn’t even been started but it was next up. After another hour went by and I was getting kind of upset, I went to look and didn’t see my car up there. The rep then came to tell me the technician was on break and I could come back tomorrow. After two and half hours of waiting is when they told me this, who in their right mind would come back. I also work all weekend. So not only did I leave their in tears, without any service done to my car, I wasted 2.5 hours and then drove 30 mins home unable to do my other errands since the places closed. The customer service was awful the fact that it took 2.5 hours and still nothing was done and I was offered to wait an unestimatable amount of time. And now I have to go get an oil change somewhere else obviously. Disappointed is an understatement.

Took our car in for non-urgent brake replacement. Not only did they not replace the brakes (I gave approval for brake replacement and the message was not passed on to the service team so the car sat there for 5 hours) but they ran down the car battery and the car is now spluttering when accelerating and reviving really high. Service was also terrible.They literally broke the car!!! I cannot express how frustrated I am.

They have a full scale auto repair shop to service all your repair needs. You can get everything from Tires for to spark plugs. This is also a Lyft location and Hertz location you can get your Lyft rental here or just a Hertz rental. The team here does their best to get you in and out as quick as possible. Communication is horrible. No one called to update me on anything. Left my tire there for 5 hours. I called for an update and was on hold for 30 minutes before I hung up and drove up there. Was told the tire couldnt be repaired and I would have to wait an additional 45 minutes to get a new tire put on. Didnt trust that they would be able to get the new tire on either in time.

PepBoys is a local shop. I usually go there because I can walk to the shop from home. I think I need to rethink this policy.Recently I dropped my car off because I had a flat tire. I dropped it off last minute (who plans a flat tire) at 1pm on a busy Saturday. I was told that I would get my car back that day, but probably when they close at 6pm. Didnt happen, they apologized and asked if I could wait for the next day. I had not been contacted by 11:30am, so I called. I had to go in to buy a tire, and was told it would be a mere hour. Almost 2.5 hours later the car was ready to roll.Pro:- good work- reasonable prices- in the neighborhood- efficiently (if robotically) answered the many, many questions I had.- next to Menards, Starbuck, and other shopping to stay entertained during long waitCon- long wait time- mediocre to poor customer service. They ignored customers waiting in line over both days without even saying Ill be right with you or Please wait a minute. At one point, I was the only person in line and both employees walked away without acknowledging I was even there. One stepped away to sweep and the other walked away to the back room. When they walked back I had to ask Hey could I please get an update about my car?I actually felt bad for the employees for how sad they looked.

This place always disappoints. The garage tries to add services that you dont need. If you ask them to go into detail about their recommended services, they will say that certain things are not needed. My wife came in for windshield wipers. The guy at the desk could not figure out which wipers she needed. Save your time and money. Get serviced at Bucaros on Ashland and minor parts on Amazon. Every employee has their nose sticking out of their mask during the pandemic too.

Got an oil change December 7, 2020 and 5 weeks later my oil light was on. I work from home, barely go anywhere, couldnt understand why the oil light would be on already after getting an oil change.. I came in again on Feb 20, 2021 for tires and asked about the oil light being on and the rep at the front desk took my keys and supposedly checked the oil. He told me that it was computer generated and to disregard the oil light sensor and not worry about an oil change until I met the mileage that they listed on a sticker placed in my car when I got the oil change... Exactly a week after that, my car was making noises, riding weird and come to find out I HAD ABSOLUTELY NO OIL IN MY CAR!!!! I dont believe they ever did the oil change in the first place! My motor couldve locked up! I shouldve known better because my oil light has never come on just to come on, it always comes on when indicating an issue with the oil. IDK why I listened to this man when he lied and told me that when I inquired! NEVER AGAIN!

Go anywhere but here! Undoubtedly the worst experience Ive had at any auto mechanic. On 2/25/21 I came in to get a routine battery & brake check. I was told my car wouldnt be looked at until after 6pm because they were busy. Understandable. I didnt receive any call to authorize work done on my car, so I called back at 7:30pm to check up knowing closing time was 8pm. The person on the phone said they didnt have a clue if my car was worked on. When I said I had already received an electronic copy of the inspection report, they then said my car would be ready to pick up at 9am. I opted to come pick up my car now since it was already done being worked on (work they never got my permission to do).When I arrive, I wait 20 minutes to be helped. No one else is waiting in line. I pay $225 in full for a new battery. Then I am told to wait because they had to check something. I wait over 45 minutes even though Ive already paid. The shop has been closed for 30 mins. My boyfriend who was waiting for me in his car, finally calls me and says that my car is out front. No one on staff let me know.When I come outside, my boyfriend tells me he watched A PERSON BACK UP INTO MY CAR WHILE A MECHANIC WAS BEHIND THE WHEEL OF MY CAR. When the person who backed up into my car asked the mechanic driving my car if everything was okay, THE MECHANIC SAID, ITS NOT MY CAR AND WENT INSIDE LIKE NOTHING HAPPENED. I was not informed any of this happened while waiting inside. If it werent for my boyfriend witnessing the whole thing, I wouldnt have been aware of any of it. This is unacceptable behavior. No one should be treated like I was, so I absolutely urge people to GO ELSEWHERE.

Waited in that line for 10 minutes there was one guy in front of me who was never talked to. Cant say enough good things about them. I was going threw my warranty to get my 2017 equinox fixed they sat their for hours arguing back and forth with the warranty company explaining to them pice by pice why it should be covered. With their experience and knowledge the warranty had no choice but to cover it. They are the best. My car came out driving so smooth its a great feeling. They will go above and beyond for you. A scheduled diagnostics appointment required parts to be ordered and my vehicle returned a second day for repairs to be completed. At close on the second day I had not been contacted AT ALL with any updates, and upon calling PB I was told all parts had come in but due to a “busy schedule” my car had not been touched. I was ASSURED all repairs would be completed by 11am the following day. At 11:30am, I called PB (again, no one reached out to contact me) to ask if my car was ready for pick up. At this time I was told they had only just gone to pick up parts, and no repairs had been started. I understand a busy schedule but the lack of consideration for the inconvenience this caused, the poor customer service (not so much as an apology at pick up) has assured that after 3 years of patronage I will never be returning to this business.

I went in for an alignment on my 09 mazda 5 107k miles. I brought new tire rod ends to be installed to make their job easier and was told that they wouldn’t be able to use my parts. OK understandable. I asked them to quote me an alignment and two new front tires to also rotate the front tires to the rear. About an hour and a half later I was told that I would actually need the left front control arm. And that I would first have to replace that which they quoted the part at $205 and the labor at $261 and the alignment $100. And that I actually don’t need tires. What he didn’t know was that I actually work at BMW I had that vehicle in the air last week when I replaced the right front lower control arm and I inspected the left front it was OK. the tire rods needed to be replaced I don’t have the machine at BMW to be able to do it. The tires on the inside shoulder are completely balled and frayed from needing an alignment And somehow he quoted me $650 (receipt doesn’t show their labor rate or where this extra $100 on the bill is coming from. He also didn’t know that I know the control arm he’s quoting me for $205 is being marked up $150 I can get it for $50 $10 shipping. He tried up selling me $500 I don’t need when I still only requested an alignment to be performed for $100 and at that point he said he wouldn’t be able to so I smartly declined their work.I would have purchased an alignment, their tie rods + replacement and maybe tires if quoted for $650 on that vehicle. But instead I caught him trying to scam me. The fact he said that the vehicles didn’t need tires makes me question if they even lifted it. He as the advisor probably did the visual inspection rather than the tech. The tech probably drove it around the block if that.Don’t go here

Tonight we got into our car and the battery was dead. Obviously unexpected and we jumped the car a got to Pep Boys 15 minutes before they close.... on a Saturday evening to top it off. Not only did the technician, Kaitlyn agree to stay late to test and replace our battery but Devin the Service Manager was cheerful, professional and provided us with a coupon that saved us a few dollars. We were in and out quickly and was so satisfied with the great service and customer service we received! These Pep Boys employees are what the world need more of.... and a raise, in case the owner reads this!

The team is experienced in variety of vehicles. Friendly staff and work to get you in and out. If you are having an emergency you can call pepboys for a tow to pick you up and take you directly to service it. Coupons are great and worth the membership. What I like is the warranties on parts and at least 6 months to a year on labor.

I had to replace a tire here. On my first appointment last Thursday, I thought the issue was merely a slow leak in a right rear tire that could be patched easily. However, the staff located a nail near the sidewall and recommended that the tire be replaced. Not having the necessary one in stock at this location, Joel ordered one from the nearby Cicero Street store. I was told it would arrive the following day (Friday). I scheduled my next appointment for Saturday to be sure wed give it enough time to arrive.I arrived on Saturday to learn that, inexplicably, the tire had not been delivered. Frank placed another order for good measure and promised to call me when it arrived. The tire finally arrived on Sunday evening. Frank called me and we scheduled a third appointment for Tuesday evening.I appreciated the efforts of Frank and Joel to resolve this issue. Joel even agreed to discount the bill for my troubles. I think they tried their best to make the most of a bad situation.The reason for this mediocre rating is the frustration we all experienced with the intra-store delivery service, which I understand cannot be relied upon to deliver stock when promised. And when I finally had the new tire installed, the crew left an unsightly white residue on the sidewall. I was assured it would come off, but it seems that the crew should have simply removed it before delivering the tire to the customer. Ive had this type of tire replaced at other shops and have always received a clean tire.

Ordered some parts online for pickup at their store. Received a confirmation and then nothing else. After a couple days I reached out via email twice asking for the status with no reply, and finally called the store a couple days after that and they told me they no longer carry parts. I totally understand if a store needs to pivot to service-only, especially during a pandemic, but COME ON, you have an obligation to let your customers know. What do they expect to happen when they leave their customers hanging like that? If they expect them to shop at AutoZone moving forward, theyre 100% correct.

Awful. Do not take your car here. I was told it would cost over $1,000 to fix my car. We took it somewhere else and they fixed it for less than $300 and many of the issues Pep Boys said were wrong, were not. Do not make the same mistake I did. This place will rip you off.Also, the $100 diagnostic test is another money grab. Do your research and take it somewhere else. Trust me.

Made an appointment for a quick oil change and tyre rotation. Dropped it off at my appointed time and was told to wait until they called to be picked up, but he said probably around an hour to an hour and a half. 2.5hrs later with no call I go back in and the clerk inside had no idea what vehicle I was talking about - couldn’t find the paperwork - and had to go talk to 3 other people and they finally found my keys laying on a work bench with no one assigned to work on it and it hadn’t been touched. Needless to say I just left with my car to go somewhere that actually appreciates my business and time. Do not go here if you like timely service.

Never again! Tried three times to go here with appointments and get oil changes. First time, they couldn’t get to it that day and asked to leave it overnight. Second time similar instance. Third time, had an appointment, told them we were going to wait and said it would be an hour. Went to check a little over an hour later and not even touched and would be another 40 min. Gave some excuse about how a tech went home early- fine just tell us that when we get there!!!! Said we were next after the current car. They pulled in the same kind of car but not ours (this could have been an honest mistake) but we were already 1.5 hours after our appointment and had run an errand at target and needed the car to get the groceries home. Like I said, never again.

Not sure why making an appointment is helpful. Still had to wait 3 hours to get an oil change. Not sure why I would ever go here again when I get an oil change in 15 minutes without an appointment and a multitude of places. Also left the floor mats of my car dirty.

Made an appointment for 2:30. Took a full two hours to do a simple oil change, nothing else.Don’t bother making an appointment or just don’t go here.Customer service is non existent here. Not to mention literally no one was wearing masks even the manager when he came around the plastic sheet counter to check on someone’s tires.

I did break pad replacement there, paid good amount of money, and after work was done my breaks started to make squealing noise. My calipers were cleaned for 200$, and a month later it turns out I have to do caliper replacement, and I was offered to do it for 500$. I would not trust their quotes on work that has to be done. Not going back there gain.

Bad experienceI’m from Indianapolis, traveled to Chicago for a weekend getaway with my family. My truck stalls on the street around 6:00pm. The only place open was pep boys. Had my insurance tow my truck to them that night. Pep boys didn’t look at the truck until Monday. They told me that the fuse block is defective and needed to be replaced. They also told me that it had to be reprogrammed after replacing it, and it would cost me $1200. I started doing some research. Come to find out, the truck does not need to be reprogrammed, and the overcharged me for the job. The let the manager know what I knew, and he just told me that the mechanic told him that he needed to do the reprogramming. It’s a shame that pep boys overcharge anyone. That’s why car mechanics, and auto repair shops get a bad name. I will let everyone know my experience, and I will never go to pep boys again.

We made a appointment for oil change the day before. The gentlemen told us it’s gonna be hour and half. Come back after 2 hours they haven’t even moved our car from parking spot... also had to wait 20 min each time to get help at the office. Won’t bring my car here ever again.

I brought my car in for a battery check because it had been sitting outside for a couple of weeks and I had needed to jump it prior to coming in. I just needed to know if it was the cold temps and not running for a while, or if it was time for a new battery. My issues with this location are with the blatant lack of explanation and the way they try to add extra costs for their customers in hopes they wont catch them or question them.1) The Pep Boys website clearly says battery inspections are free. I was charged a fee for an inspection of the whole starter system when I knew my issue had nothing to do with the starter or the alternator. I had to argue to get that fee removed. The guy said nothing to me about a fee before the service and I had explained up front I had to jump the car and was only concerned about the battery.2) They told me the cheapest battery they had was $164.99. I trusted the guy and said alright. Before getting to the store to pick up my car, I checked the website for my specific car and that specific store. Not only was that not the cheapest battery in the store for my car but it would have been 25% off had I been allowed to purchase the battery online. The last part is on me, but its clear that these guys will do everything they can to get you to pay more than is necessary or more than you specifically ask for.3) I was charged $9.99 for a battery protection service I didn’t ask for and also was not told was being done. It’s not necessary and it’s not part of their battery installation service. That makes TWO fees they snuck onto my bill and of course said nothing about before or after. I was too irritated at the store to notice this fake addition to my bill until I was already gone.In the end it was $15 plus $10 that they snuck onto my bill. Being shifty and charging for things the customer didnt ask for and things the techs say nothing about is simply unacceptable. I will never be back there due to they guy racking up all my extra, trick fees.

I made an appointment to test and possibly replace the battery on my wifes car.When I got there, I stood at the counter for 15 minutes as employees talked to each other and walked back and forth from the garage without anyone greeting or acknowledging me.They replaced the battery. But, while I was waiting in the waiting area, no one told me when the work was done. I had to ask someone after a shift change (apparently), how much longer the work would take. He said it was--and had been--done.I paid and went out to the car. It started fine, but the infotainment system was completely blank. I returned inside and told them. They sent a mechanic out, who couldnt fix it. Then had to bring it back into the bay. More mechanics looked at it, clearly on their phones googling it. Finally a mechanic came to me and said there was nothing they could do. He tried to convince me to take the car anyway, maybe take it to a dealer. I explained that I brought the car in with the screen working fine, I was not going to leave the lot with it in worse shape than it came in. He again tried to convince me to take it and go to a dealer. I refused. He then said that they could leave it overnight and have a master mechanic look at it the next day.I had to ask for a Lyft home. Which, in fairness, they obliged. The next day, I had to call to check up on the car. They explained that it was fixed. Why they didnt notify me, I cant imagine.The sense of service, ownership of the quality of work, and empathy for the customer were all totally missing from the process. I would go elsewhere.

Took my Acura in for service. It had been sitting for over a year. Pep Boys Service Rep Martin did an amazing job at identifying what fluids needed to be changed. Recommendation for tire replacement where spot on. Very professional and honest. Only issue was coordination with the mechanics so ETA is more accurate. After waiting 2 hours, I decided to pick the car up the next day. Just a heads up..

These guys are the real deal. Ordered four tires online (shipped from a different store). Dropped off at Friday at 7:00pm, had my car by 9:30a next day. The price paid in store was even better!! They also suggested a couple very reasonable service add-ons with no pressure. They actually checked my car out. Even with my budget, the service rep was very knowledgeable and helped me pick a good tire over another. Strongly recommend!

Rude, unhelpful. I came in with diagnostic codes asking them if they could just help me confirm the part I knew I needed and had researched but they wouldn’t unless I paid $120 for them to run the same codes. I showed the pictures from the diagnostics with the code already and they confirmed that’s what they would get too. I said I know what the part is bc I was already told that at AutoZone, but realized it might be different because I didn’t realize it was a turbo. Google gave me all the simple answers, I just wanted an expert to confirm that is the part for a turbo. Very rude. $120 to talk to anyone at pepboys AUTOPARTS. Learned my lesson. Nothing could convince me to support a place like this.

This Pep boys is beyond amazing !! They have changed many tires for me, repaired some new ones and really do put in the EXTRA work! I am always happy with the services and they make a difficult experience way easier ! Highly recommend taking your car to Pep Boys, Elston!

Needed all new rotors/brake pads. I communicated mainly w/ Gil and found him to be very informative. Didnt make me feel pressured to accept the quote for the services needed / I didnt feel taken advantage of. Gil and his team also incidentally found another issue while working on the brakes that they fixed for no additional cost (which turns out had been the culprit of an annoying clunking sound Id grown accustomed to over almost a year ----just prior to coming to Pep Boys I shelled out almost $3,000 at the dealership for extensive work that needed to be done, yet nobody had identified the bad ball bearing that Gil and his team fixed for me!). ++they appeared to be very considerate of my schedule and when I needed the vehicle back.

I always like going here. I know a lot about cars and work on them myself most of the time. This is a convenient place to get tools or parts you might need in a pinch. I would still generally order online but some stuff theyre cheaper than the online prices and its nice to be able to return it easily if its not the right part. The service center always treats me fairly when Ive used them and has never tried to rip me off.

Went there one Friday night. Three counters. Everyone on their phone, not a hello or anything when I entered the building. The parts guy eventually ask if I need parts. I said no I need help with service. He points to the next guy. Next apparently was the tire guy, he just points to go to another counter to that was empty.....eventually someone came out of the service area declining to take in my car because it was too late ( I was there at 7:30, and they were closing at 9) and some “specialist” employee was not in that day. It was clear that nobody wanted to help me there. This place is a joke and a half. All the clowns at this location should be fired and hire some people that have some common sense at least.

I am editing a previous negative review...on my last visit I was told an oil change that I made an appointment for was going to take over 2.5 hours.After that, Chris, the DM, reached out to me and has since worked with the staff to iron things out.I went in today to give them another chance and had a wonderful experience. Gilbert was very professional and friendly at the counter and got things going quickly and proactively reached out to Harry the service manager to make him aware of my previous issue. They worked together, along with Pablo the mechanic to get me in and out in 30 minutes flat!My faith in Pep Boys is restored, I will be happy to return, and be a Promoter for your services.

Did an appointment online for a specific time and when I got there they told me that the website and the store status are not synchronize, so that I needed to wait two hours in order for them to get my car in. So I told them that I needed to shift my day and do some things and they told me the car has to be there to be in turn. I left anyway.

This location clearly doesn’t adhere to appointments. Made it there at 9am (for a simple oil change), this location opens at 8am. Guy tells me it’s going to be 3 hours even though I have an appointment at 9:00am. Went to jiffy lube down the street, oil change done in 15 mins.Awful service.

This place is awful. I came in to get 4 tires, new brakes, and an oil change. The sales person that was working with me offered to do the oil change for free. He was really nice (I think he was the manager) and explained everything that would be done. I was told to leave the car there and pick it up later in the day. When I came to pick up the car there was a different sales person at the desk. He was rude and didnt seem to have the time to answer any questions. He told me everything was done, including the oil change and handed me the paperwork that showed it was done I got into the car to drive away and noticed there was no sticker for the oil change, so I came back in and asked if it was done. His response. I dont know. Please drive up to bay 2 and I will have someone check. I drove up to bay 2 and waited...And waited...And waited. After about 15 min I went back into the store and asked are you going to check the car? Without a response the sales person walked into the shop.Was he checking??? Was I supposed to go back to my car??? After another 5 min I saw the gate to bay 2 open, so I went back to my car to drive it in. A mechanic came out and told me no oil change was ordered...Oil change was clearly on my paperwork. Had I not have checked the sticker, I would have been falsely informed that an oil change was done. In addition to the fake oil change, I also noticed none of the new tires had valve caps. Really? I just paid $1000 for new tires and they cant put valve caps on?I wish I had read all the negative reviews before coming here.I do think the initial sales person provided good customer service but beyond that, my experience with this place sucked. They need to hire some better employees.

I first went to Pep Boys, because my car did not start. I had it towed there to get it checked out. Car would turn on, but it would not start just heard a clicking noise. I thought it was my starter, because all the electronics inside would turn on, so it couldnt be the battery. I told them i did not think it was the battery when I handed over my key.They called me the next day, saying I needed a new battery. Somehow over night, the battery went from being able turn my car on (the lights, radio,etc. but not the engine) to not being able to turn on anything. They even tried to jump it nothing would happen. So they replaced my battery, although I told them several times that I did not think the battery was the issue and I got a new battery recently. I went to pick my car up, paid $250, went out to my car and it DID NOT START. They go out again and say the starter is the problem, which I said from the beginning. I was another $350 down be to get a new starter, and could not get refunded for the battery I did not need.Overall, my experience at Pep Boys was very poor. Although they gave me a discount for the inconvenience, I felt unheard, patronized, and ripped off. They caused more problems than solutions. I highly suggest getting your vehicle taken care of somewhere else. I will not be going back to this Pep Boys, or any other.
