This review is a little overdue. I visited them around February of 2018. I dropped the head off on a Monday. It was ready on Tuesday. Reassembled the engine. I have about 10k on this head already! Did a compression check on it and all the cylinders are about even across all 6. Very happy with how smoothly everything worked out. Toyota 2JZ head.Thank you! Couldnt be happier.

Took 3 weeks to put my own valves in!! Small motorcycle 4 cylinder engine took them 3 weeks everytime i call them they would say tomorrow and they would say theyre busy they have hangup. Finally after they got the engine done i get a call so i go there and the guy says $300. Wow. $300 to put my own valves in. First of all when i took the head valves to them i told them i need cylinder 1 done only. And they said okay. And after 1 week i get a call they told me that they took everything apart and i need 7 intake valves. And 5 exhaust valves and 16 steams and the keepers and when i told the man i wasnt looking to fix everything because its only 1 side that is bad. He kept saying i cannot i have to do all of them i know for sure i did not need all of them done. Because i knew a small screw fell down in the intake and it caused cylinder 1 to go bad and lost compression.. i bought 2 used working head valves online so he can swap out the parts and he called after a week saying they dont work!! I had to return them and lose shipping money. Even tho i know theyre working he just wants a easier job. Keep in mind yamaha sold me each intake valve for $110. Long story short i spent about 2000 doing this job. I shouldve just bought an engine for half the price and got it done cheaper and easier. Be careful going there because the owner wouldnt even give you time to talk or say what you want to say. Every time i call them to check if its done he would say my friend if you want come take it now i put everything back or im still waiting for a tool this is what i needed done look in the pictures how the small screw messed up 1 valve only. Even the seller was telling me to go to a different shop because the valve heads i bought from 2 different sellers were working fine.

Had my block cleaned, honed and resurfaced.Everything done right in a timely manner. Definitely bringing all my motors there for future builds. Thank you Cylinder Head Express!!
