These guys have earned my trust for all my auto repair needs. They are honest, fair and even help with the tow bill to get a disabled vehicle to their shop. Of course they do good work, most shops do. Most shops also charge about three times as much and try to convince you they are brain surgeons. All my business and referrals will go to CARS.
The team at CARS is absolutely fantastic! I was passing through on my way to Utah State to drop off my freshman and we ran into trouble on the highway. I was desperate and found this repair shop on the fly. I am so pleased with the help John and Dylan gave me and they got me back on the road in the time stated. Price was honest and fair. I live in Illinois and they work with a warranty service that is covered nationwide. Awesome! Thank you so much Cheyenne auto repair!!
These guys got us quickly, worked hard to diagnose the problem, then got it repaired under the quoted repair cost and a day sooner than I expected. Great communication, friendly mechanics and front desk staff. Great warranty terms on parts and labor as well! Very satisfied and will be returning if/when repairs are needed!
Theyre a busy place, but they managed to get my car in as quick as possible. One of the better auto repair shops Ive visited in town.
John and Dylan are very professional and knowledgeable. I brought my car in for repairs and then we noticed further damage that needed to be fixed. John and Rachel explained what needed to be fixed and Rachel even sent a detailed video to show me what happened to my car. They were able to get my car in much earlier than I originally anticipated which was very helpful and convenient. They are extremely easy to work with and their concern for their customers is something that I highly appreciate.
Waiting for engine to be found,as soon as work is done, Ill update. so far.. great customer service and seems really organized.
Not much to see. The information about the cave was good but that was about all
I came here to have my differential seal replaced along with my rusted cover plate. They were very friendly, helpful and did a great job. They are also very military friendly. Also, my car battery has been having issues holding a charge and sometimes doesn’t start so they helped jump me before I left. I highly recommend them.
The team at CARS is absolutely fantastic. We were in Cheyenne visiting family over the Thanksgiving weekend when we ran into trouble. We were able to get the vehicle in the shop and not only did they complete the job 🐰, they were willing to stay late to get us back home safely. Could not have had a better experience. It was fast, honest, and professional and has made us a life-long customer.
Needed help loosening a lug nut and they told me they couldnt because they were closing soon.
We couldnt recommend a better auto repair company. This business helped us several times and were honest, timely, reasonable. Highly recommend this local business. It is our go to place!!! Thank you John, Dylan and Rachel!!🐇
Thank you for taking care of my son David with the white SportTrac that had issues with a fuel injector, another mechanic seems to have taken advantage of him in town and y’all got him fixed up and back on the road. He is a young man in the military with limited income so it was great news to hear that he found a professional business that wasn’t out to take advantage of him. Thank you
My daughter’s alternator went out when she was driving from Casper to Denver and had to spend the night in Cheyenne overnight. I drove up from Denver the next morning to help her and contacted John at CARS To see if they could get us taken care of before 2pm as we had to be back in Denver. John & Megan took great care of us and we were on our way back to Denver with plenty of time to spare! Cost, quality & friendly professionalism were outstanding! We are very appreciative of having an outstanding company like CARS to help us out and recommend them to anyone needing a trusted, knowledgeable auto repair option! Thanks again!!Jeff M.
Good men doing good work
I am a glutton for punishment as I get some weird thrill out of buying a car thousands of miles away and hoping/praying it all works out. I am better than 50/50, but not much. Based on spend after receipt I am likely far behind! This time I found a truck in Cheyenne, WY that looked interesting. It had a diesel engine and they can be really expensive to repair. And it is 26 years old. I wanted an independent set of eyes on the truck locally. After reading their reviews on YELP, I decided to contact CARS (Cheyenne Auto Repair & Service-clever, right?).Rachel answered the phone and she was amazing. Rather than treating me like the lunatic I am, she was kind, thoughtful and asked good questions. She also provided excellent and timely follow up. While it is not a service they typically offer, she arranged for one of their certified diesel mechanics, Dylan, to stop by the dealership and give the truck the once over. His review was thorough and included an estimate of what he recommended in terms of repairs. He is calling me later to chat about the truck and his report as a measure of follow through.I could not have been happier with the friendliness, professionalism, quality and speed of service. Outstanding company and outstanding people. I would highly recommend CARS for your car services. Thanks so much for your help guys!
Had the engine on my SUV blow 20 miles north of Cheyenne. Called “CARS” and they set up the tow to their shop, searched and found me a few different options for engines as far as new and used. They communicated with me throughout the entire process and DIDNT PERFORM ANY WORK I DIDNT AUTHORIZE!!!! Processing a several thousand dollar transaction wasn’t a problem and my SUV ran like a top after they were finished with it! Top marks for these guys!
Have been using CARS for 20 years and have always received professional, top quality service. Wouldnt go anywhere else. John and his team are reliable and trustworthy!
CARS is a wonderful auto shop in downtown Cheyenne. Theyll take good care of you and are honest and down to earth people. They take care of our veterans as well with their veteran discounts
I needed to get my oil changed and did not have an appointment but they went ahead and fit me in anyway. They also had no problem with me bringing my own oil since I use Mobile 1 Synthetic. I will definitely continue to use them for oil changes and other services from now on. Thank you John and Dillon!
CARS did expert work on my wifes Cadillac SRX which had a failed touchscreen for the driver control of climate, phone, radio settings pretty much everything. Cadillac Dealer said they had to replace the whole unit--$1200! CARS replaced the screen for much much less and now it works like new! CARS will get more of my business--thanks!
When my truck broke down in Cheyenne, WY I wasnt sure where to go with it. Not only did they give me a lift to get a rental car, John went the extra mile to make sure my truck was ready to go when I needed it.
I am so incredibly impressed with John and Rachel at Cheyenne Auto repair. My car needed servicing ASAP and we are from out of state. They got me in the same day and fixed my vehicle at a very reasonable rate. I will be forever grateful to them for getting us back on the road to continue our fun girls shopping weekend in Colorado.
I appreciate the help I got at this shop. We were traveling and they were so accomodating to get us in and get our problem taken care of in a timely manner so we could head back on the road. They diagnosed the problem, shared with us the options and risks, fixed the problem and upgraded the part so we hopefully wont have this problem again. The fair price and speed of service to make sure we were safe while traveling on the road was so appreciated! I definitely recommend them.
Thank you so much for taking care of our customer while she was out of town. She was nervous to finish her cross country journey but you took her in on a holiday weekend and made sure she felt comfortable and took care of her concerns. She just called thanking me profusely about sending her to you. You are a true representative of what it means to be in the tech-net community.Joeys Auto Shop
Excellent? I had am emergency and they got me right in!
Professional, Priced right, good appointment time frame, expedited repair service, friendly, stood behind service in repairing warranty items.
Good mechanic shop. Check time schedule for service. Thank you. Peace out.
Very friendly and well priced. I always bring my car to them. And recommend them to all my coworkers, friends and family.
We turned to Cheyenne Auto Repair & Services to have our service van worked on. From the word go, they were prompt, fair, and understanding. Rachael went above and beyond to give us not one but two different estimates for the replacement of the engine. They were the quickest to respond and the most reasonable of the companies we got estimates from. Then, Rachael estimated it would take 10 days for the work to be completed, they had it done well before the 10 days was up! On top of everything, Rachael, kept us in the loop from beginning to end including when we were informed. Now, the van runs phenomenally! We will be turning to Cheyenne Auto Repair & Services for any future needs. Money well spent!
Fast friendly service. So grateful for this shop!!! Thank you so much again!!
John has been able to take great care of my vehicle needs. I wish I was still in Cheyenne just to be able to take my vehicle to him! I highly recommend cars.
Extremely rude! I called to get a few estimates because Im new to the area and was repeatedly hung up on with no explanation at first I thought we lost connection but Rachael hung up on me 2 more times. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else, do not waste your money they apparently do not want it!
Weve brought two different vehicles in for various issues. They were always able to schedule fairly quickly or even did the work right away. The service has always been exceptional, the price always reasonable, and they are all easy to work with. We highly recommend them.
I needed an AC condenser replaced in my truck, and Rachel got me into the shop two days after my initial call. I had my truck fixed and back to me within the timeframe promised and for the very competitive price I was quoted. Excellent experience here and will not hesitate to return. Capable. Friendly. Recommended.
John and Rachael are top notch people. On a family trip out west, our truck began missing on half the cylinders outside of Cheyenne, I limped it in to them on Monday morning, they were able to get me in right away, found the Coil Packs I needed in Denver and had us on the road by 4pm.Rachael even gave us a ride to the local Railroad-themed diner and picked us up and gave us some ideas of things to do in town while we waited.I cant say enough good things about them, they really saved our trip. I would have been at the Ford garage for days waiting to be checked out and repaired.
I highly recommend this shop. They got me in the same day and were very reasonably priced. Jon even took the time to fix another part for free. Hands down best shop Ive been to in town
We broke down outside Cheyenne the Friday before Christmas and called CARS, thankfully. Rachel found us a reasonably priced tow, and they John got right to work. They were both really good with our kids, and found us a movie theater nearby to keep us entertained while we waited. We highly recommend them.
I was heading to Gillette from Denver and broke down, car overheating, 17 miles north of Cheyenne. I had an itch my water pump seized and called this shop first based off their reviews. 10/10 was not disappointed. Not only did they get me in almost immediately due to my desperation to get home and anxiety of being stranded but they straight to the point and didnt try to oversell me. It was the waterpump and they made sure I was good to go before my car even left the garage. Topped off my oil, ran a diagnostic on my check engine light and gave me a guarantee on the labor.I got back to Gillette with confidence and my car running better than it has. I will recommend this place to anyone I know in the Cheyenne area.
Excellent service. The car battery warning light came on while I was traveling. In spite of a very busy day in the shop, John took the time to check it out and make the repair. It was the alternator. He made the repair quickly and I was safely back on the road again. Rachel provided valuable information about the Technet Professional warranty on the service as well as good conversation while I waited. If I lived near Cheyenne, I would make this team my car care team.
I was having major Issues with my Ford. I was not sure what was up with it. John knew just what it needed, he notified me that the transmission was not bolted in properly, and the fluid had not been changed as recommended. this is a trustworthy, honest, caring shop Ill be Back!
Only place I go for repairs reasonably priced fast service always honest.
After a horrible experience in a blizzard, this awesome shop was able to get me back on the road and on my way home in a very reasonable amount of time. highly recommended.
Friendly people. Honest. Reasonable prices. Would definitely use them again!
There was a bald man who was very rude and very disrespectful. Not only did he turn away our business, he also made personal snide comments to us. A very young gentleman our first time there was very cooperative and very helpful however this man was by far one of the poorest examples of a good employee/manager. Unfortunately because of this we were 100% dis-satisfied with this business performance and customer service. If zero stars were an option I would choose so. Please be aware of this business lack of customer service. (Also charged us a ridiculous amount for us to tell them what was wrong with it, they never took it in the shop)
These guys are absolutely amazing. This is kind of a long story. TL;DR They went WAY above and beyond for us.My wife and I were travelling from Indianapolis to Utah the 3rd week of August, 2017. Our car was old and had a TON of miles on it, but shed held out so far. We had made it to Cheyenne, and drove on through when our car suddenly started making an awful noise and then lost power. We were stranded about 15 miles west of Cheyenne, 7 1/2 hours from home. We got the car towed to CARS, and I gave them a call on the way. They were about to close, but took my call anyway, and told me to be there right at opening the next morning. They would bump us to the front of the line and get our car checked out.We spent the night in the last hotel room in Cheyenne (the eclipse travelers had booked everything else). And the next morning we walked the 2 miles to CARS, and they were there, waiting for us. True to their word, they looked at our car right away, and delivered the unfortunate news: The engine was totally shot, and thus not worth the repair. They offered to drive us to any rental we wanted and furthermore offered to keep the car on their lot, free of charge, and to send us the salvage money from the car. We accepted their gracious offers and I began to call the various car rental agencies in Cheyenne.Due to the eclipse, every single car in Cheyenne had been rented out. I am not exaggerating. I called 5 different car rentals, and not one had a car available. The closest was Enterprise, who had a single car available in Laramie, 50 miles away. I felt hopeless. We had no car, no money for a rental (wed have to borrow from family over the phone), and no contacts to get us the 50 miles from Cheyenne to Laramie.Rachel at CARS then came to the rescue once more, and had one of her employees get in a car they had just repaired and were going to sell, load our stuff into it, and drive us to Laramie, free of charge. This is the kind of company I would want to deal with. These people were honest, friendly, and genuinely cared about doing the right thing, especially for a couple in dire need. Ill recommend them to anyone, any time.
John is an excellent tech and can fix anything, does maintenance too. Rachel is very customer service friendly. Definitely will be back!
Great mechanics who always get the job done right. John helped me buy my first car a couple years ago and is helping me do it again.
Cheyenne Auto Repair is the only place I’ll take my car in Cheyenne. From oil changes to major repairs, they have been fabulous to work with! Last week I was trying to leave on a eight hour road trip, and my engine was overheating. I brought it in to the shop and not only were they able to diagnose the problem, they fixed it that same day so I could get on the road! I trust John with all my car problems, and he has never tried to take advantage of me or over charge me for his work. Rachel is always awesome to work with too, she goes out of her way to help and make everything run smoothly. When I was stranded with no car last week she volunteered to give me a ride home so I didn’t have to wait at the shop all day! That’s what I call great customer service!
John has done right by me each time and then some.
John is awesome had a little hiccup with the part coming in but he got to it quick
Im leaving this review having just got my truck back from my normal repair shop who fixed the faulty repairs done here by John. I wanted to be 100% sure it was the job they did before being quick to point fingers. If youre considering doing business here, read this. Im going to give a fair review, which is much, much more than John deserves (because cussing him out sounds much more appropriate). I was heading down to Colorado when my truck broke down, & was unable to take it to my normal mechanic. (KB Mechanics in Casper, they are amazing & knowledgeable for anyone heading through that way, who wants great service & honest mechanics WHO STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK.) My husband & I rented a car & was told we could pick the truck up Mon. John would come in over the weekend to fix the issue. I was thrilled! He seemed like a stand up guy. When i arrived back Mon for the truck & my horse trailer, Rachael said, Oh that truck is done? I thought that was strange. We paid for the job done on the injectors ($4100) & left. I drove 2 blocks & knew something wasnt right. I pulled back in & told John my truck was still shaking, dumping fuel (major white smoke clouds from exhaust.) He assured me the truck just needed to burn off the fuel, & basically stood there. I questioned that. He did nothing at this point to help or figure out why it wasnt running correctly. A younger guy working there said all the injectors were firing. I questioned why it would still be smoking after the repair, he did nothing again to help the situation & basically shrugged his shoulders. My truck was acting up, my 3 year old, husband & horse trailer were relying on this truck & it felt anything but safe. Would we be broken down again on the side of the road tonight on the way home? I didnt know, but they offered NO HELP. Not only that, but we had paid $4100 dollars on this repair & it wasnt FIXED. The injector work had a warranty, which Rachael went over very meticulously with us & that seemed odd as well. Looking back it was like they KNEW it wasnt fixed all along & turned us away bc they got paid. I took it to the only place in Casper that was covered to work on it (cars) the man their said they didnt work on a lot of diesel trucks & I instantly got a bad feeling! I was going with my gut on that one. My husband called the Warranty company and explain the situation, and said we wanted to pick the shop. The guy was very understanding and we picked our normal shop KB. The mechanics at KB found the problem took photos of the faulty work done at Johns shop in Cheyenne (stripped glow plug wiring when put back together, harness needed replaced, & 2 of the injectors were faulty) John argued with my mechanic, & finally agreed to pay for $117 part that should have been changed when the injectors didnt correct the issue (harness). Im honestly questioning whether I needed the injectors to begin with. Anyhow, we ended up with a $155 bill on top of the $4100, because he refused to pay for anything else. I was out of a truck 7 weeks thanks to his job. Now that Ive had a chance to shine a light on such awful work, Ill be fair. I dont think they have enough knowledge about diesels & I wouldnt recommend ANYONE who owns a diesel to take it here. However, if you have a small car etc they might be able to help you. Just use extreme caution and dont get scammed. Take a test drive before you pay for ANY work. If its not 100% tell them until its resolved before you pay a dime. Your money seems to be the only thing they care about, not being honest. John, you have personally taught me that KB is a gem of a mechanic shop! They fixed all the issues, & my truck has never run smoother. I wish you the best, & hope you can learn from this too- that you should stand behind your work, have integrity, & take care of your customers.
TPS went out in my Jeep. Fast and concise service....and great price too! The only thing that prevents 5 stars is not being called about what needed to be done, I had to call them to ask about the status of my Jeep. They installed it in good time and now my Jeep works better than ever.
Very friendly people running this company! I came in with an automated message on my display that my tirepresure wasnt in order. They immediately got out of their way to fix the problem for me. I recommend going here if you need to get something done on your car.
They conducted a repair for me, but when the system failed again a few months later they failed to honor the first repair.
Good service fast and friendly! And affordable.
Complete morons. Dishonest, rude, and unprofessional. 1st visit) Tried to charge my wife 800$ for 45mins of work. I go in and they say its going to be 150$. DO NOT SEND YOUR MOTHER OR WIFE HERE, THEY WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF WOMEN! gave them another chance because my family has been going for a long time, and THEY LEFT MY CAR PARKED ON THE STREET WITH EVERY SINGLE WINDOW DOWN AND THE DOORS UNLOCKED OVERNIGHT! Completely unapologetic about the situation. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE, RUN BY TEENAGERS AND MONKEYS AFTER IT SWITCHED OWNERSHIP. pay the extra few bucks and make sure you take it somewhere that actually cares about their customers.
They were very nice and very reasonable on price, a shop you can trust for sure! If your traveling across the country and break down highly recommend this shop!
Took my car to get a seal put in the transmission, bolts were left un-tightened and starter was not placed correctly. IT ruined the flywheel, now I have to replace the starter. Car still was leaking. Left me with another problem. Unprofessional and untrustworthy. Dont go here unless you want to get screwed.
Very nice people and a job well done.
Did all the diagnostics for free, then gave me honest feedback about needed repairs. I would use them again.
Was disrespected my the owner and over charged. John the owner is a horrible man with no morals don’t do business here
Hmmm,?? Ok
I was stranded after hours and they came and rescued me! Love these guys!!
The owners are awesome
Good work!
Good service
