I purchased a treadmill from Johnson Fitness in November; it was delivered in February. I dont blame them for the wait given the rush on home fitness equipment, though would suggest they work with their suppliers to more accurately predict deliver time frames.After Johnson delivered and installed the treadmill I found it to have a lound clanking sound, so called Johnson within 2 days of install to have them check it out. Was promised a service call back, which never came. Im still waiting.After all this and reading other reviews, theres really no value in purchasing through Johnson since they dont speed deliver or ensure the devices are working properly. I suggest you order directly from the manufacturer.

Prospective buyer, is this how you expect to be treated? The equipment itself is great, but the buying experience was one of the worst Ive ever had. I paid for it in October 2020, full price, and they said it would not be delivered until early Jan 2021. Ok, honest and up front. That date came and went, then another week, then two. I called them every single week until it was FINALLY delivered early March (two months after it was promised). The store manager continued to blame the manufacturer, and he said they had so many problems, the chain provided a training session to all managers on how to handle disgruntled / unhappy customers. Bigger problem: it was delivered without the console. As such, the equipment was unusable, like not having the machine at all. Initially they were going to do nothing but wait, but they finally agreed to supply me with the console from the floor model. (As a side note, on day one I went to the store, the salesman showed me the floor model, and the console was dead ... which is why I declined the offer of a used one.) So I accepted the (fixed) floor model, temporarily. But weeks passed without getting the console that I paid for. I called, they made more excuses about the manufacturer not having enough. They promised to contact them immediately. I called the next week, and the next, and the next. They continued to make promises that it would be soon, they had no control, etc. The manager informed me in March that he was emailing the manufacturer. The following week he said they have it, but it was not shipped (didnt make the truck), but it was being FedExed overnight. A week later I called, and they said it had arrived and scheduled an appointment. They finally installed the new console the 2nd week of March. This means from the date I put my money on the counter to the day I finally got the full product installed was TWENTY ONE WEEKS... over 5 months. I paid a considerable sum in full, and the retailer did nothing but not deliver and make excuses. Plainly when they said they were FedExing it overnight, that didnt happen. And when I explained that I didnt even have the manual to know how to properly use it, the salesman said, aw its easy. Of course there are lots of bells and whistles, safety notices, proper use, and warranty info that comes with the manual. They didnt even offer make a copy for me. Telling a dissatisfied customer that its easy is by no means speaking to the customers frustration or need for the information. It was just shrugging off their responsibility in this transaction. As an aside, I elected to pick up the machine myself; the salesman said it was easy and it came in three parts. When the hauler unloaded it, it was NOT easy; it is an extremely large piece of equipment and very heavy. There is no way my friends and I could move it downstairs. So I had to contact the retailer to have them come over anyway and had to pay the install fee to have them move it downstairs. (They DID generously deduct $50 from their normal deliver/install fee because I had it picked up.) This again was ridiculous. I had waited for a long time for equipment that was incomplete (and therefore unusable), and they still charged me the full install fee. When I go to Burger King and they forget my fries, they give me free fries. No comp offered. In brief, in my experience, the retailer was only interested in one thing -- selling me the product. Once they got the money, they could not care. It was a continuous stream of excuses, sluffing it off, and making promises week after week that they simply didnt deliver. So prospective buyer, there are a LOT of other retailers out there that offer this equipment. All I can say is this is how they treated me, and why do you think it would be any better with you? If my friends ask for a recommendation, I will tell them to go elsewhere.

We just bought our very first piece of fitness equipment from Johnson a few weeks ago. Tiffany was super knowledgeable and took the extra time to make sure we were comfortable with our purchase. We purchased a NordicTrack RW900 rower. Delivery was quick. We purchased on a Saturday, and it was delivered the following Friday. The delivery guys were courteous and clean. They got our rower put together and we’re all cleaned up within 20 minutes. After the delivery we noticed we were missing the card for the free year of ifit. I called and spoke to Tiffany at the store and within 15 minutes she called me back with a new activation code. We’ll be buying more equipment from them in the future for sure!

Everything about the purchase experience was great. Install was great. However, our brand new machine, a Nordic Track Incline Treadmill, broke 3 months after purchase and it has been over a month and still nobody has even looked at it after multiple phone calls. Lots of finger pointing, but we bought it from Johnson, who we view as ultimately responsible, and now it just sits in our exercise room. Extremely frustrating.

I dont remember the guys name, but he was supper helpful on picking out what we wanted. He said the model we chosen is actually very popular and in fact sold out over the weekend. That didnt bother me though because I was mainly just testing before purchasing. But I recommend this store for anyone who needs any exercise equipment.

The senior store manager there Steve is so knowledgeable and extremely willing to spend any extra time needed to make you comfortable with your purchase. He dies what it takes, even staying late to help customers. We were very satisfied ! Got a fantastic value 9n a top of the line Octane recumbent machine. Definitely recommend this store and its staff... very helpful and knowledgeable. Store is clean and well stocked too.

Cant say enough good things about Johnson Fitness and Steve Seeba in Chesterfield. We purchased an Octane X37i elliptical December of 2016. This was the perfect piece of equipment for us. We traded in a monster commercial treadmill and received a fair trade in on the elliptical. The delivery of the new equipment and pickup of the treadmill went smoothly. We had a couple issues with the Octane, both times electronic issues with the console. Steve took great care of us. I would strongly recommend Johnson Fitness in Chesterfield if you are looking for any piece of workout equipment. Their sales and service are the best.

Had a great experience shopping at 2nd Wind! Stuff was very knowledgeable and friendly. Treadmill I was looking at was at a different far away location but they worked with me and they brought treadmill over to a closer location so I can test it out. I ended up buying the treadmill because it was awesome. I also bought a smith machine while I was at it and they gave me a discount on delivery of both machines. I would give them more than 5 stars if that was possible!

Wow! This was an amazing experience and it was all over the phone. Tiffany was sooooooo helpful. In fact, she was able to answer all of the questions I had, and also went above and beyond to help get my total gym - Fit for a better price than I expected, as well as have the box delivered to a store that was nearer to where I work, so I could pick it up. I cant say how reassuring it is to have someone on the phone, even while they were super busy, make me feel like I was the focus of their attention. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, provided the highest level of customer service (before and after the sale), clearly cared about what worked best for me, and in one case, found a piece of equipment that they thought was superior to what they had in stock at the time. This is where I’ll continue to go for my fitness needs.

You often hear that a retailer is only as good as their service and to that end I have to compliment 2nd Wind for having a relationship with an outstanding service organization. Treadmill Heroes did an excellent job of the initial delivery and setup of our purchase. Recently (less than a year after our purchase) there was a problem with our equipment and Treadmill Heroes provided excellent service again. They were very responsive and have us back up and running. So congrats to you 2nd Wind, you picked a great service organization and I would recommend you to anyone.

I bought a Lifespan Treadmill Desk from 2nd Wind and their sales representative Tiffany has been an absolute pleasure to work with! I worked with Steve as well and he also provided great customer service for me. Tiffany talked me into buying from a local store rather than making an online purchase from a retailer where I could have saved a little money and she was absolutely right! You really do get what you pay for and when I didnt receive exactkt what I purchased, 2nd Wind stood behind their sale and made things right immediately. They have also continued to provide excellent support 2 months after my purchase. Tiffany is very knowledgeable about fitness equipment, warranties and preventive maintenance. She knows the equipment so well and was able to help me buy the right model for me. She even went the extra mile to find an office chair and suggested the perfect setup so I could use my desk comfortably while walking and while sitting. She really is the best and you should consider calling her if you going to purchase fitness equipment! Im not kidding. She is AWESOME!!

Update:In November of 2018 I decided I was strong enough to start running or at least walking briskly again. The Octane ZR8 had allowed me to get stronger and gave me the incentive to get serious about getting back into shape. I hired a weight loss/life coach by the name of Charles DeAngelo, who felt I was strong enough to use a treadmill again and that it would be a vital part of my weight loss process.I went back to see Tiffany and her team about buying a treadmill. She reminded me that I had purchased a used Octane ZR8, 8 months earlier, and had elected to purchase the Maintenance Exchange Program Policy.This policy allowed me to get in store repairs made at no charge and get a full refund on the purchase price of the equipment; if I bought something else to replace it with in a 12 month period. This made my decision to buy a treadmill much easier and allowed me to work out in my own home.My program mostly focused on sound eating habits but also required me to walk on the treadmill every morning. First workout started at a speed of 3.3 MPH, with an incline of 4%, for a duration of 35min. Over time, it was increased slowly to my current settings of 3.5 MPH, at an 8% incline for 55min. This is all the cardio I was allowed to do.To date I have lost 73 pounds, over a period of 16 weeks (See attached picks). I was very concerned, that my Sciatica would return, but that has not been the case. My coach told me that I will be able to start running longer distances again in the next 4 months. I cant wait.Staying on the program would have been much more difficult if I had to go to a gym every morning. Would have added at least 30 minutes to my morning routine. Thats time I did not have.I did have some minor issues with the treadmill shortly after the set up. As usual, Tiffany and her team made sure these issues were addressed in a timely manor and that I had a workaround until some parts could be ordered.I highly recommend this location to anyone who is thinking about purchasing exercise equipment.My name is John Dietl. Dont know why my wifes name came up but, I am the one writing this review.Two years ago I fully ruptured my quadriceps tendon. I had excellent PT rehab but was told that I may need to give up running, a sport I dearly love. For the last two years I have been relegated to a bike, elliptical and swimming for my exercise options. Being confined to these options drove me up the wall. Every time I tried to run a little bit, it would touch off a 6 month battle with Sciatica. Terrible Pain.At the direction of my PT, I visited this location and bought a Matrix elliptical trainer. I twas during that purchase that I was introduced to the Zero Runner ZR7. The unit appeared to be a little more physically challenging than I was ready for a the time. So I went with the Matrix Elliptical. Very glad I did it. It helped me get some of my range of motion back and get my heart rate up. I still use the unit for cross training, but had to find a way to get back into some form of running.3 months ago I want back to see Tiffany and her team to revisit the Zero Runner technology. She took her time with me and showed me exactly how to use ZR8. It took me about 10 minutes to figure it out and about 2 sessions to make it feel natural.I had to stop after 0.15 miles during the first 4-6 work outs because my body was not used to feeling this range of motion. With in 3 weeks, I was able to go up to 1 mile with out stopping. I felt like had been running but did not have pain.I am happy to report that I can now run up to 3.5 miles at a 9:30 pace with out stopping. I am actually back, all being it at a cautious pace (13 min/mile), to street running. Still cant believe I am able to do it. So far the pain has not returned.As with all my purchases at this location, the service was excellent and the advice was honest. Service after the sale also exceeded my expectations. Tiffany and her team will certainly go the extra mile to earn your service.
