The people working here are awesome! I had one particular book I was looking for and I knew itd take me an hour to find it on my own so I asked for help right away and the guy looked up my book and led me straight to it. Thanks to him I was able to be in and out in only 5 or 10 minutes tops. The lady at the check out desk was very nice as well.

Nice bookstore, with friendly staff

The workers were extremely helpful and thorough! I was quickly able to find what I was looking for, and everyone was very friendly to me, even though I came in close to close.

The staff were not very knowledgeable and only minimally helpful. They did not have the book I was looking for, which was a common college reference book. I figured if they have any college material, it would be college writing reference guide. But nope. So I went to Half Price Books and found exactly what I was looking for.

Book stores are hard to find, so Im glad this place is staying alive. I went in, done every what I was looking for, bought it, and left. Not much more you can ask for really. Everyone there was also very nice and helpful. Its exactly what you would expect, basically.

I love going here and browsing

I only go here to browse and see what looks interesting. I then walk over to Half Price Books and get what I am interested in at much more reasonable price.B&N was the inferior bookstore when Borders was around, and now with Half Price Books in the picture, (and within walking distance!) I dont know why anyone would do anything past browsing at this location.

Don’t bother going to this location. The staff are incredibly rude. They kicked out my 50+ year old father in law (veteran who cannot see or walk much) for leaning against the wall for support. I had no idea they did this until I left the store and realized he was not there. He tried explaining his situation, to which the employee said “guess you should go sit in a car then.” This employee had pink hair I believe. So unbelievably rude, unacceptable behavior from any associate. We will be contacting your HR.

Love the books - could happily die there - but dont care for the prices.

Found some great childrens books here which was not a big surprise. But it was the toys B&N carries that was the real find for me. I was looking for a special birthday gift for my grandson and was surprised to see the variety of educational-type toys they had. I found those special books and just the right toy to add to his gift box.

Very helpful employees. I believe Brian was who helped us. Rarely do you come across an employee like him who enjoys their job and wants to be legitimately helpful to their customers.

Excellent place to spend a cold, grey, wintry afternoon. Coffee and books and some places to read them. Consistently cheerful, knowledgeable staff. Their rewards deal requires you to spend about $250/year to make it worth your while.

My favorite bookstore!

I love this location. The selection is great, from books, gifts, science exploration toys, snacks and free wifi in a calm environment. The cookies at the Starbucks counter melt in your mouth.

I love all bookstores but Barnes and Noble has such friendly and helpful staff! When I told them I had finished (and loved) one book and didnt know what to read next, they got on their computers and found me several titles! My kid loves the kids section and cant wait to start reading in his own! They are a little pricey but worth it!

This store has the absolute best employees hands down. I talked to at least three different people. There was always someone available to help me and they all had so much great knowledge and advice about books I was wondering about. This makes a huge difference to me! I have never had a bad experience in any b&n but this experience was just over the top amazing. I got some great recommendations and ended up purchasing more than I expected because I just couldnt decide between all the great options I was given! Even the barista at the Starbucks cafe was awesome. This store gets five big stars from me! I would give them ten!

I can go in here and lose myself easily for a day. There is a quaint cafe but the store and browsing and seating areas are so easy to relax into. I dont feel pressured to spend any money and can browse to my hearts content. There are deals and bargains all the time in all sections so I find I feel refreshed and spend only a little money. The staff is cheerful and knowledge able. A great place to spend your time.

I love Barnes and Noble. The environment is wonderful. The employees are friendly and always happy to help finding a book. I can go in, grab a coffee and read a book on my lunch break. It meets all of my expectations.

This Barnes and Noble is my favorite one to visit in West County. There are lots of great scheduled events for kids and adults, including story times and game nights. They also have the best collection of games and collectibles in the area. The store is well maintained and well staffed with friendly and helpful associates.

I come here to buy magazines. The staff is lovely. Theyre trying to diversify their offerings and its weird. I miss bookstores that just sorta sold books. Amazon is cheaper but we need B&N so show them some love sometimes. Excellent collection of literary magazines.

Good books

A great place to buy books. They have almost every book that you are looking for and they have a Starbucks in the store for those who want to enjoy their purchase with a cup of coffee. The service is great since there arent employees coming to you every 5 seconds asking what you are looking for.

The older gentleman working at the Starbucks counter was so kind and quick with the orders. I sat on my laptop at a nearby table and he was generous to every customer and he even brought my pretzel out to me instead of having me wait at the counter.

Employee seemed very annoyed that they had to price match for the online price and manually enter gift cards

Went after work. Spent a couple hours and found several books to take to Chicago me. Stood at the register for almost 10 min. Heard the clerk chatting with someone in the Cafe. I thought she saw, but no she stopped and started chatting with someone by the magazines. I go to leave, putting the books down and walked out. She didnt say a single word. Just watched me leave.I normally spent $100 each visit. From now on, me, my membership and my wallet will be going to Fenton or if I must Fairview Heights. The staff there are much more attentive. Hope I can find something at the airport in the morning.

Love this store! As an avid reader, I buy a lot of books and have found that if I need a recommendation for an author, book, etc, the staff is very knowledgeable and accommodating. If I need a quiet place to work, I always go to Barnes and Noble. Great place!

Shopping at Barnes & Noble brings to mind the luxury pricing principle of economics. Its thought that luxury goods manufacturers price their goods high in order to create a higher perceived value. Barnes & Noble is very expensive. Generally, one should avoid shopping there at all costs, and instead order books online. Further, their inventory management system could use some work. For example, when looking for study guides for a grade school child, one will often find that there are math books by a certain publisher for third grade and fifth grade, but not fourth grade.

The Barnes and Nobel was fine the GPS from Google was not good. We followed it, and ended up on a dead end street with no access to the book store. Had to find our way out on our own. Do not use Google directions.

Its the only store in the area, so theres not much in the way of alternatives. They do have a couple of great employee who can help, but the inventory isnt all that great.

The store here is huge. They have a great selection, a good cafe, and loads of magazines. It is also very nice when the sun hits it, as I think the entrance faces West so in the afternoon and evening, the sunlight comes in and a yellow tint fills the whole store. It reminds me of some Art Deco, wooden, Frank Lloyd Wright homes, with all of the wood and big windows for light.

Endangered species alert: this is a great big store with books made of paper in it! Lets try our best to preserve these national treasures. I miss book shops, this is one of the few left standing in the area. It features most of the things that all those wonderful shops used to have in the past, coffee, a few chairs to sit in and browse potential purchases. As always with Barnes & Noble, theres a fairly large selection. Saff persons are always helpful and attentive. This isnt a bad place to go Christmas shopping either: lots of fun novelty gifts, activity kits, and various other desktop trinkets for sale.
