Store manager (Jim) did his best to resolve a problem I was having with a controller. Went beyond normal policy to insure problem was fixed. Advice was offered as well. Overall excellent service.

Customer service was great, but I would like to know why all the sudden you put games on the shelf that you dont have?Waited in line 10 minutes to be told they dont have because Gamestop decided to put the top 100 titles up even though you dont have them in stock. So went back got another game, and waited 20 minutes this time to be told once again they dont have it in stock, that 350.00 dollars I was going to spend went somewhere else.

So they make you wear a mask... masks are not required for those of us with medical disorders. He refused to serve me. Then, he refused my military discount after i went out and put on a mask to satisfy his policy. I will not be returning.

Nicest GameStop store I have visited, and I have been to a lot of them with a husband and three boys who love to game.

I love this location and they people who work here. The owner of the store often hangs around to talk to customers and help his employees and hes very friendly. I rarely come in for games because they have a fantastic merch section. I also have spent probably over $100 on Pokemon cards (yeah Im a nerd). 10/10 would recommend. The owner is a tall, bald guy who teases people if they come to the checkout without any games. Its called GAMEstop not POKEMON CARD stop!

I have been calling this establishment all day & still have not received an answer so unprofessional there is no way they have been busy for 12hrs.

I used to love gamestop.. I absolutely hate everything about it now do to how they treat you and how the employees try to swindle people especially older people that dont know any better about video games. Save yourself the headache and money and buy your son, daughter or grandchildrens games on your consoles store so that you also dont have to pay the taxes as you would for stopping in the actual store. In all honesty I feel like they should pay you for the wait times and how they dont have the knowledge needed to push the product they sell. Dont go hear and save yourself the headache.

Take your business to the colonial heights location they will actually be fair with you. Every time I have given this location a chance its poor customer service and low ball offers really bringing the brand name down and driving customers to shop elsewhere online which is where I will be shopping from now on.

The store is organized well and appears clean, but there is a odd smell inside.

Today is my sons 5th birthday and we intended to take him to Chucky Cheese but he got sick a few times throughout the day and had to go visit his Pediatrician. We canceled our Chucky Cheese plans and me being the gamer dad I am decided we would buy him a game for his birthday and chill at home together. The assistant manager (I believe his name is Glen) was super friendly and helped my son find a game that he would enjoy. We talked about how it was my sons birthday and that he was sick so we decided to come to Gamestop and buy him a game. At the end of our visit Glen went above and beyond by giving my son a Batman Action Figure! He said he saw my sons “BatBear” (a stuffed Batman bear) which he had carried into the store with him and figured my boy was a fan! I work in an industry where customer service is paramount and to have my son receive such an awesome shopping experience meant the world to me, and him both! It truly made my sons day especially after having such a rough birthday so far. Thank you so much for that! You have earned a raving fan Sir!

I purchase a pre owened Xbox one x went home download game keep giving me error code and saying my games were Corrupt took it back and they gave us a hard time don’t purchase pre owned stuff not worth the trash they sell Glenn was not a good help Employee keep Telling me there was a problem with the system update or the game downloaded corrupt and for me to sign in my account. go to the Colonial heights one for your purchases everyone

Price gouging. I found a PS3 game brand new at Walmart and Target for half the price the same game was used in GameStop. The only option was, I can return it for a store credit. WWE 17 was 19.99 in Walmart, new. GameStop was 31.99 used without a case. No need for GameStop when they are going to take and inflate the price

Went to buy a new game the other day and the guy behind the counter told me they were sold out, and I could clearly see an unopened box on the wall behind him. Beware as the rumors of this BS circle of life nonsense are legitimate. GameStop employees are being harassed by corporate and management and out of fear of losing their jobs they are lying to customers when seeking new products, the push for pre-owned has come to this. Bye GameStop.

Every visit to this location, with a few minor exceptions, has proven the staff to be rude and too busy to assist with trading in games. Forget about calling the store, they leave you on hold until you get frustrated and hang up. I literally just held on speaker for 23 minutes and they were too rude to pick up and help me. They had all the time in the world to laugh and joke while we were on hold. Had they taken the time to look at the phone, they would realize their mistake of putting us on speaker so we could hear everything going on. Well be shopping at Amazon and Game Fly from now on. Dont waste your time or energy going here...some of the games weve purchased dont work and because we didnt buy warranty, you cant return it, even with a receipt.

Alright so I called to ask if they had any PSPs for sale and they said they had 4. I go over to buy one not even an hour later the cashier says hes out them! I ask him if he sold any the past hour and he says no! I look over the counter at 2 PSPs on the rack and just walk right out. And their attitudes were horrible!! Only reason I go there is because its the closest one in the area!

Ridiculous waste of time going to a 9pm launch event that was supposed to be open until 9:30 I showed up at 9:20 and no one even acknowledged me, it wasnt until 9:40 that someone opened the door and said they were closed and they stopped handing out games at 9:15. Joey Mounie who is the store leader please get your staff together, I have been coming to this store for years and this was a horrible display of your leadership.

I payed for a ps4 slim 2 months ago and its brand new with the box and the game that came with it and i cant trade it to get a regular (used) ps4 unless i pay 105$ when my model is way newer . Bye Gamestop

Such a headache.. I give this store a 2/5 only because I cant give a 1.5 star rating. The ONLY thing that even earned them a star is the fact they tend to carry some games at lower prices than other competition. Otherwise? This store is absolutely annoying. Half the staff answers the phone as if they cant stand the fact you chose to call instead of come in. Then there is a percentage that tell you one thing about your trade in, but upon returning to trade it in, they tell you something COMPLETELY different and retarded. They push membership on you way too much for my taste, and Im tired of picking out a game from the rack only to find out they dont have any more copies. Not to mention I dont recommend to ANYONE to buy their Used systems or games -- they tend to not work or not been properly refurbished. Shop there if you feel up to a gamble.

Close to where i work, staff has never let me down in terms of opinions on games im considering or helpfulness when one isnt available. The only reason i would go to another gamestop would be if this store didnt have a preowned game in stock but they looked it up and told me a different one did.

Only go there out of absolute necessity! The store is grossly understaffed and the wait times can be atrocious. Believe me when I say GameStop is not all its cracked up to be, and even if you can save a few bucks go somewhere else.... unless it is absolutely necessary!

This is a great Gamestop store. I can understand some peoples complaints about having the PowerUp Rewards card pushed on them, however as a consumer the sales people in this case really are trying to help you. The $15.00 a year pays for itself 100xs over. I have never received any attitude from any of the employees at this location. I believe the bad ratings may be personal vendettas. I am not friends with anyone at GameStop. The people that work there are great to talk to about whats new in gaming and gaming and computing in general. This is my Gamestop I frequent, and I will not go to another even though this one is further away than the rest.

This store has the WORSE staff EVER. These assholes are the most annoying and rude individuals I have ever seen. They have an attitude 24/7. Id rather pay a few more dollars at the Wal-Mart next door than to buy from this place again. Now to my story.I walked in a few weeks after the release of the new Nintendo Wii U Deluxe and asked about the waiting list. I would have purchased this item at another department store like Wal-Mart or Target but I had a trade in balance of over $200. The scruffy gentleman I spoke with told me that they had one left in the back. I told him I would be back tomorrow morning because I did not have the cash on me at the time. I come back in the morning and the apparent manager was there. I told him what his employee had told me the night before and he says, Theyre all sold, wont have them back in for 3-4 months. I asked him if he could check in the back just in case and he said no. I asked him why he couldnt check and he says, Theyre are so many boxes back there and Id rather not go opening them up for no reason. I told him not to worry about it. I drove to the Gamestop at Tennessee Plaza, Midlothian, VA (at Hull St Road and Route 288) and the lady there was glad to assist me in ordering my brand new Nintendo Wii U Deluxe and it arrived at my home 5 days later. The End.Go to another Gamestop. Not this one.
