I visited for the first time and purchased some macaroons and a slice of peanut butter cup cake. The associate was friendly and helpful. There was no one else in the store during my visit.The macaroons were very good, and I would suggest them to anyone. While macaroons are expensive everywhere, if you want a good macaroon, this is your stop.I, personally, was disappointed with the slice of cake. It had a strange texture and the flavor was average. The texture was almost a rubbery or ‘bouncy’ like texture. The flavor wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t anything special or worth the $5.50 a slice.My suggestion is to go for the macaroons and skip the cake. I did not try any of the drinks, so I cannot share a review of those items.

Overpriced for such a small and ordinary content compared to the shaved ice in other bigger cities. AND my son asked them for some extra condensed milk since they didnt put enough of it and they charged him 50 cents and only gave him a little tiny bit (see photo) while other places would just give it for free... Disappointed and definitely will not return again.

We had a pleasant afternoon in this cute cafe. We’ve been looking for a legit Korean shaved iced/ bingsoo/ bingsu how ever you name it. The shaved ice is how I imagined it to be, soft, fluffy, snow-like texture. We had a large patbingsu (red bean) and strawberry cheesecake. Can’t wait try the other cakes and milk tea next time we go there. They all look so good!

Really cute spot with yummy artisan desserts! I like to go for takeout when I’m in the area. They have hard to find cake flavors that other local shops don’t have like Taro and Matcha.

In the past I have visited several macaroon places . This place is not like those. Here the ambiance is very chic calm and cool. I really like the decoration simple but spacious to the naked eye. The cakes where very nicely displayed.the prices are better than other places as expected these a fix price for different quantities of macaroon boxes bit not bad compare to their competitors. Now tasting... well I order 12 macaroons and one taro drink frozen not iced. Tasted delicious. Expect to spend about 20 dollars minimum here .The macaroons. I taste all the different flavors tiramisu, coffee,cookies and cream, mint chocolate, passion fruit, taro, pistachio,nutella,coconut,elder gray, raspberry I have to be honest i DO not recommend or liked the mint chocolate the macaroon was bitter and the chocolate tasted like it was spoiled. The rest its a very buttery cream filling and some of the feets of the macaroon werent correctly made. But over al 4.0 stars. And 5 stars for the taro shake . Always looking for a new spot to check out and this cafe was amazing! There are so many varieties of deserts, macaroons being the best part! So many different kinds.. The Ube Taro being my favorite, also got a Taro bubble tea that was soo delicious!

My husband has been suggesting to pop into this place for awhile; I read the reviews few days ago and decided to try for myself since most of them claimed that there was very poor customer service. When we walked in, we were immediately greeted and both clerks were very smiley and friendly. There were some guys in front of us and when one of them wanted a closer picture of a cake, one of the clerks was super accommodating. I got three different cakes: ricotta pistachio, tiramisu and reese’s peanut butter. I was asked if I I needed napkins or forks togo. The cakes are delicious! We will definitely be back to try the rest!

I will start by saying that it is a very nice place, with a very nice decoration. Desserts are delicious, I love French desserts and these are very similar. The customer service is very good, the only thing I did not like was that it was not clean and especially the bathroom. Since I had to use it because I have kids otherwise it is nice the place.

My favorite dessert place! The best macaroons you can get in va..seriously. Im a picky eater when it comes to good quality food and especially dessert like macaroons as they are pretty pricy and no one likes to pay an expensive price for an okay or not that good macaroons. This place is it. Ive also tried most of their cakes and have ordered whole cakes multiple times for my friends birthdays which they all have loved!

I had the strawberry ice cream dessert. It was large enough for two people. The only thing I didnt like, was as you start eating more into it, there was a lot shaved ice in the middle.

They have amazing cakes that you can buy by the slice or whole. The price for either is extremely reasonable especially for how delicious theirs cakes are. If you like light chiffon style cake, this is the place. My favorite is their lemonchello marscapone cake and fruit cake. My husband likes their Korean snow cream dessert and will often leave with that and a slice of cake. This is definitely one of my favorite dessert cafes and a nice alternative to frozen yogurt or ice cream (though they have that too!).

Great selection of desserts that are well made, hard to find the particular kind of shaved snow that they do here anywhere else, so its a real treat to find it here

One of my favorite places in the Chesapeake Area has got to be Look up Dessert Cafe. Having lived in this area my entire life, I have high standards when it comes to quality food and quality service and Look Up Cafe is no exception. The owners have always been super kind to my family and I whenever we visit always excited to see us whenever we visit!! As a college student, I personally love going to cafes to study and Look Up cafe has a super amazing atmosphere and friendly environment to help you get your assignments done.

Always a great place to get desserts that arent too sweet, whether its whole cakes for special occasions or personal slices to go. I have tried most of the cakes and theyre all good, but the fruit cake and napolean are the favorites. The shaved ice is also a great choice during warm weather. The blended mocha kona boba is a regular drink for me to go.Staff is always nice and pleasant. Never had a bad experience.

Very delicious cake!! I tried the Nutella cake and it was very scrumptious! Its 4 dollars a piece, so not the cheapest slice cake but cheaper than cheesecake factory. I also had a cafe latte with vanilla that was 4 dollars, and it wasnt anything to write home about. Mediocre latte at best. The service was very friendly and the atmosphere promoted a relaxing environment where you could slowly sip your coffee whilst chatting with a friend. If youre looking for yummy cake then I would recommend this place.

The staff was nothing short of jubilant and helpful. The milk cake is to absolutely die for, and the coffee is as good as it gets. I already cant wait to return.

This cafe is adorable and has a wide variety of desserts like tiramisu, carrot cake, milk cake, bingsu, and macarons. The cafe is very clean and chic. The decorations make the place look open, bright, airy, and relaxing. I ended up getting a small honeydew boba slush and 5 macarons, which all together cost roughly $17. My personal favorite flavors were the matcha and coffee flavored ones. Overall, I really like the aesthetic of this place and the desserts they sell and I would definitely return here again!

We tried the pistachio cake and a creamy chocolate cake which were lightly sweetened and delicious ( if you are looking for a traditionally sweet cake, you may not like their cake… super sweet is just not what they are going for here)We also had green tea boba and taro boba… both tasted amazing. I usually don’t like boba but this time I had to keep stealing sips from the kids.

I found the menu to be very over priced. A scoop of ice cream in almost 5.00 after taxes and the scoop was very small. The first time I went the scoop of ice cream the lady gave me was way bigger. The second and third time The scoops were very small. So, the amounts are never the same. The cake per slice is over priced as well. Very small slices for around 6.00 per slice after tax. The employees move very slow when taking your order and serving it to you. I did not find the place to be very clean either. Also the milk cake used to be milky, I recently bought a whole cake and it was extremely dry. I do not think I will be going back. This place it not worth the drive.

Greatest dessert place in the east coast, even better staff, tremendous service with superb taste, honestly Im not a nice grader and this is the only place Ive given 5 stars too, would have my last meal here it moves me to tears

Customer service, at any establishment, plays a major role in my reviews. This was our first time. We were greeted when we walked in, which was a good thing and I felt that set the vibe for the remainder of our experience. I was wrong. *Keep in mind that it was NOT busy at all* The issue was with the one cashier who rushed us, while my bf was looking at the pastries in the glass case. We drove from Norfolk and he was excited because someone raved about the milk cake and he wanted to try it. She started rushing us while we were looking (we literally were not there long at all).He asked the cashier if they had any left and in a really dismissive tone “no.” He then asked if she knew when they may be making more and she was dismissive again. He then asked “will anymore be made today?” After asking her again she finally says “more would be made today.”At this point, the other super sweet employee helping behind the counter overheard it, and she was so cheerful and ran to the back to ask the baker. She came back and said he is icing it and it will be out in 15 minutes. She even said she will bring it out to us. She was amazing and really made us feel welcome!!To the restaurant:Do you expect new customers to come in already knowing what they want without browsing the case?Would it have killed your main cashier to say “sorry we are out but let me go check.” Instead it was just “no” and being short with us.If you read through this review, I hope that things will be different during our next visit because I really loved the vanilla snow cream parfait.

I really enjoy this cute dessert cafe and love the family that runs it! You can tell they appreciate their customers. Great spot to study, work on your laptop, hang with friends or maybe go on a dessert date. Reasonable prices. Everything is delicious especially their freshly made macaroons, they melt in your mouth!

We had three different kinds of cake and macarons, this place is great!

Ever since we moved into this area about 1.5yrs ago, we have used this place multiple times with good service and great food consistently. We hqve tried their modified hot mocha, bubble drinks, fruit bowls and have special ordered cakes three times. We love their cakes the most because they use whip cream for icing vs. sugary frostings. Their fruit cakes are our favorite. They use real fruits. You can add ingredients and do limited customizing. Limited because of the ingredients they use. Make sure you order it at least two days in advance. We love this place and love the fact that we are supporting the local business.Only thing I would recommend to the owners is to provide consistent great customer service. I can understand some days are probably hard on them. It has never been anything crazy like some have experienced, but it would definitely help.

This was our first time visiting & the cakes were beautiful but no flavor what so ever. Very spongy tasting. Icing was good. Macaroons were good. We ordered 2 Oreo cakes a carrot cake & 2 vanilla macaroons. I gave 1 star because the cashier rushed the customer in front of us, who was looking at the cake display still trying too decide.

Ive only ever had it Door Dashed to me but they are the best! Im a huge taro fan and I love their taro cake of course with the taro bubble tea. Their macarons are reasonably priced and delicious! They are the perfect pick me up when youve had a bad day.

Even though we couldnt sit inside (CoViD19), they had tables and chairs on the patio.The family that runs the cafe is very friendly and the varied menu makes it a fun place for many different preferences.Tonight, I had the Blue Bell Brides Cake ice cream. Really interesting and great tasting dessert

Cakes have no texture..its just colored whipped cream topped on top of each other. Price is very high for one slice of cake...The ricotta pistachio cake had absolutely no flavor. I could only taste the whipped cream as it had no hint of any ricotta or pistachio.

Ive found a dessert heaven! Huge assortment of macaroons, beautiful cakes, good selection of bubble teas, bingsoo/snow cream parfait, soft serve froyo and more make this THE dessert place where theres something for everyone. Fun, modern atmosphere with plenty of seating as well. I got the coffee tiramisu bingsoo which was amazing and just the perfect amount of sweet. Ill definitely be a regular!

Its certainly different than it used to be after changing over from another dessert bar. Clean cafe with a very relaxed and contemporary feel inside. Employees are friendly, and the desserts are good with fair prices. I love their variety of bubble teas! Good place to kick back with a sweet treat.

Best place for a perfect cake if you ask me, and I will elaborate, the flavors of cake are different than half of places you could go to, the cake is nice, soft and airy, the frosting is a tad too sweet for my tastes, but I like tea, so that’s probably why, that aside perfect texture and taste, not too overwhelming, but not too subtle, ideally what I like to see in cakes, and the macaroons are also good, my favorite being the earl grey, so give them a try.

The cakes here are amazing...moist and delicious. Not over the top sweet (the frosting is more like a lighter whipped consistency with out-of-this world flavor). They were all great and I was pleasantly surprised with the milk cake. Red Velvet is my favorite cake of all time and I’ve only found 1 or 2 bakeries that make it phenomenal. This place makes a great Red Velvet, too!! Yummy bubble tea. Modern and cozy location. Will definitely come back.

I ordered a she crab soup but mine was a little too liquidity for me. However I loved my meal. I ordered the fried oyster in an 3 egg omelet and bacon with Cajun potatoes. My food was so good and fresh. Unfortunately I left the restaurant in a hurry because we had a big party and I forgot my food. I called like 3 minutes after I left and they threw it away when I came back to the restaurant.

I have an affinity for light desserts the ones that are not too sweet so I looked up Asian bakery and found Look Up Dessert Cafe on google.I Tried the famous milk cake and Taro booba tea. The milk cake was exactly I was expected; Light,creamy and not too sweet. Think of it as an Asian version of tres leches. For the taro booba tea: The best Ive tried in Virginia! full of flavor and balanced. The sweet older lady (could be the owner?) was attentive to customers and hands-on.

Dessert lovers paradise! This place is doing things right. They always have a variety of cakes to choose from each day, which are all very moist and flavorful. I have a huge sweet tooth and come here at least once a week to try a different flavor cake each time. Our favorites have to be Milk Cake and the Chocolate Mousse. The atmosphere has a chill vibe, plenty of seats and has a lot of natural lighting throughout making this place perfect for meetings or just to catch up with friends. The staff who work here are very friendly and sweet! Also, cleanliness is never in question. I mean come on, what more can someone ask for?

I got a pina colada bubble drink with tapioca pearls and they were the freshest Ive ever had as well as a pistachio and re velvet macaroon. Absolutely delicious! The servers were very nice and patient while I decided. I will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!

My smoothie was so so good and the ice cream was delicious! They had beautiful cakes too. My bro-in-law got a slice of the a cake that had fresh strawberries and mangoes, he said it was delicious! Gone in less than 10 minutes. 👍👍

Service was wonderful from both the young gentleman and lady working the counter. My wife and I have been coming here for a year now and we always get a pleasant experience when we go here. Theyre great all year round with tasty iced boba drinks and yogurt during the summer and even still have warm drinks like lattes and coffee for those cold days. Their desserts are always delicious. They have a good variety of cakes to choose from. I hope they stay around for the long run!

We have visited on multiple occasions since moving to the area and I wanted to wait to try different menu items before reviewing. They uses to have frozen yogurt once upon a time, but have replaced it with yummy blue bell ice cream which is better. Dont get me wrong...I still love my froyo. Their cakes are moist and yummy. Our favorites are the matcha and pistachio.

You’ve got to try the bingsoo(snowflake desserts) here.They are UNBELIEVABLE.The food the service and just everything is amazing in this place.I go here often and find it very cozy and nice.You won’t be disappointed.

Walking in I was a little disappointed, no wall of candy anymore, no froyo, looked classier though. Then we tried the desserts. Very very good red velvet cake. Tried the wifes chocolate mousse cake as well. They serve blue bell ice cream which is of course great. Solid selection absolutely worth a stop if youre looking to satisfy your sweet tooth.

My daughter and I tried the Oreo cake and Fruit Cake (vanilla cake with fresh strawberries and mangos)! Evan was great and so friendly. We will definitely be returning. They make the cakes themselves and they are so moist. This place is also kid friendly with mini tables and chairs for your little ones.

We enjoy coming here. The staff is friendly and have quite the selection to choose from. They have an amazing selection of macaroons, beautifully decorated cakes, bubba drinks, yogurts, smoothies, etc. LOVE IT. My only problem is - the gnats. You see one or two flying around the fruit bar for the yogurt topping. Otherwise, its a great place.
