Its ok. If their staffed they are reasonable. If not and busy, walk out. Optometrist changes very often so dont expect to see the same one. Frame options are a bit limited. If you see a style at another place, you can ask and they might be able to get a little cheaper. No eye glass places I have found to be overly impressive so... Par for the course I guess. Each seem to have plus and minuses.
My experience was excellent! Monica was funny and very helpful. Andrea was super sweet to come over and help me decide. I briefly met Debbie, the manager who was also lovely. Mary helped me when I picked up my glasses (Earlier than expected- bonus!!). She made sure they were comfortable and I was happy. In the past I’ve gone to another eye glass store (not Pearl). They were never able to make my high prescription lenses to where I was comfortable wearing in public ( and yes I paid a lot to get them to look the best I could). Pearl Vision you did it! I am amazed at how great my new glasses look! Finally I feel comfortable wearing out! I can’t see any of the lenses outside the frame. I will never get glasses anywhere else! Thank you ladies for all being so wonderful!
The staff up front takes their time with you and makes you feel welcomed. Wish i could say the same for the ones in the back. Made a appointment with them for me and my son. Called to verify and the lady in the back tells me she just has appointment for my son. So i had two make another one for myself which was going to be two weeks later. Very disappointed in how they handled a mistake they made. Again i am very pleased with the ladies up front.
I went to pearl vision and had my eyes examine and then picked out glasses. I have made three attempts to reach someone to find out if my glasses are ready. A recording comes on saying they will return my call yet no one has and the office is open. There is no reason why a company would not have the common courtesy to return your call. No excuse especially when one calls three times
Ms Monica is an outstanding person. She gives the best customer service. Shes very patient and doesnt pressure you on your decision of what you like. I hope she continues to work at pearle vision cause thats who Ill do business with. Shes a keeper!
The doctors are great. The staff not so much. The curly haired woman at the appointment desk has been great over the many years Ive gone to Pearle Vision. The staff throughout the showroom are rude. They dont always speak when you walk in even when they dont have clients and today one of the imbeciles hung up on me when calling requesting information about MY records, when all she had to do was her job. I called back to let the manager know Id been hung up on by an employee and she was just as rude, nor did she address her employee hanging up on me. I wont be returning. Its not how it used to be. Away with the hags up front.
I am a teacher, and I just moved to Chesapeake. I got my eyes checked yesterday for the first time. Honestly the majority of my experience was awful. I called to get help with directions and the lady helping me on the phone gave off the impression I am from here...like I should know where the mall is,etc.I was called well after my time to get my exam done.The associate that helped me look for my frames and give me the breakdown of prices was very sweet.The doctor was okay. I didnt feel like he wanted to help me much,just do his job and let me go.The frames here are Dated so I would highly suggest Lens Crafters in the mall,especially if you are in your 20s looking for a clean style.In short I wouldnt suggest anyone to come here.
Quick and compassionate service. The doctor is super friendly. Got my astigmatism diagnosed as well as a prescription. Good place to go if you need an inexpensive eye exam and a solution.
Nice friendly stapf recived our glasses the same day we were pleased with the visit and will return for the next eye check
I went in to get some computer glasses. I found some really nice hombre purple and clear computer glasses. I really like them. They do not slide on my face like my way more expensive crafter glasses do....i will be back and 4 other family members who need new glasses. Oh all of the ladies there were welcoming and friendly. I will have to get their names at my next visit. Wonderful 1 hour service what other place does that?
Always get a second opinion. The doctor working diagnosed my daughter with refractive amblyopia anisometropia and pretty much said since my daughter was passed a certain age, was pretty much set in stone. Even went as far as to say he had a prescription, but wasnt going to give it to her because it wouldnt help and that she probably wouldnt wear them anyway. After consulting a second opinion, I feel as if we were misled. There are better options for eye care that even goes as far as being very versed in pediatric eye care, and Im glad we didnt take his word as a final answer.
Great customer service, prices, and selection. Getting new glasses here was the fastest Ive ever experienced, both for the optometrist appointment and my glassess being ready to be picked up.

They refused to give me my PD number/measurement after I spent over $500 in their store. Furthermore, I am a first time eyeglass wearer and the person helping me a few weeks ago seemed oblivious to the questions and concerns that a first time customer might have. She just kept giving me blank stares. Then when I asked for suggestions on how to clean the glasses/lenses she tells me that a cotton tee-shirt is fine (as I watch her clean my brand new $500+ glasses with a piece of cloth). Needless to say my brand new $500+ glasses have some annoying little scratches on them now. Once I got home I found a lot of very helpful information on YouTube but it sure would have been nice if the eyecare professional at their store would have offered some useful information. It was the poorest customer experience Ive had in years (I cant think of a worse experience).I plan to live in this area for at least the next 17 years and I will never spend another dollar in their store. The kicker is that I probably could have got past the poor customer service if they had just given me my PD number/measurement but they acted like it was some sort of proprietary information when its actually just a simple measurement/dimension on MY face.I wont be back...Theyve lost at least 17 years of sales.
I was just in Pearle Vision today. The women Mary and Debbie were very nice. They directed me to the frames for women. They were all the designer frames that are super expensive and failed to show me where the cheaper ones are in the store. I picked out two pairs of glasses and Debbie figured out that it was cheaper with my insurance than with their buy one get one free deal. I saved money and had great service, I just wish someone had showed me where the cheaper glasses were.
I always have a great experience here. The optometrists give a very throrough exam, they gave great technology, and the opticians do a great job helping you to find the right eyewear and make sure it fits perfectly. Why would you buy online and not go here? You only get one set of eyes!
Always am happy when I leave with my new glasses. Everyone is very helpful.

I am beyond satisfied after having my annual exam performed by Dr. DAngelo and his team! Everyone made my visit super comfortable, convenient and hassle-free. What I REALLY loved was the attention to detail from everyone on his team. Dr. DAngelo himself was a pleasure to work with; he made my husband and I laugh throughout our visit and he asked many thorough questions regarding our conditions. He is definitely a true professional! Obviously, a great team begins with a great leader and he is a great example for those surrounding him. We worked with Debbie to acquire our lens and frames and she was nothing short of the same characteristics I described of Dr. DAngelo. She made my husband and I laugh so hard! (We are VIP Debbie!) She offered her opinion in terms of selecting frames that fit without being pushy at all and everything from paperwork to charges and expectations where properly and thoroughly explained! My husband recieved his glasses the same day from Barbara, whom was also amazing in service. She provided great tips on how to clean our lens and was extremely professional. Everyone is happy here and it shows! Stop by and just ask a few questions and I promise youll end up scheduling an appointment here.
