If you value the instrument you own and care to see it again do not trust this business!!! This business was paid in full upon Guitar‘s arrival well over a year ago. In the past 3 months I’ve sent over a dozen emails with NO RESPONSE! This is a business offering a service that was paid in full and couldn’t even be bothered to respond to a paying customer many emails! This job has gone months over a quote that was ALREADY further pushed back from the original. Currently in the process of starting small claims filings.

Sent my guitar to Sims well over a year ago. I paid $500.00 up front as well as shipping expenses. Since then, I have tried regularly to contact Sims, when I did get a response (months ago) it contained conflicting information about the status of the guitar, painted, not painted, ready to ship, not shipped, etc. The last time I even had a response from Sims was October of 2020... I should have done better research on this shop prior to contacting them (there are MANY MANY complaints out there). Now I have to waste even more time and money taking legal action against this shop! So, DO NOT USE SIMS GUITAR REFINISHING SERVICE, unless you want to pay someone to steal your guitar and money!!!

Sent my Music Man Axis Tribute for refinishing. The finished product is exceptional. Pat does great work. Was quoted 8-10 weeks for completion, but it took 6 months. Seems to be par for the course in 2020/COVID. Couldnt be more pleased with Pats work though. Thanks!

Meeting Patrick was great . He is a very hard worker talented . He is a professional . And is all business . He did a perfect job . On my guitar . Give him time and youll be happy . No complaints here .

Patrick (Van Gogh) Sims turned my plain white Fender Stratocaster into a work of art. I was hesitant to paint my guitar so I looked at the work Pat Sims produced on his web site. I was shocked at how well the paint and finish looked when I opened the return box.The Guitar Center repair rep who reassembled the guitar said Its the nicest finish that hes seen on a custom guitar Store customers were noticing it too. So pleased to have worked with Pat Sims on the guitar, and now have a custom Race Red Stratocaster that looks like art.Thanks again Pat!-Steve
