Giant Steps works hard to be there for the music/band programs! The people who work here are all super nice and helpful. Dont hesitate to support this great business.ππ
Giant Steps music has been my music store since I was in high school. The store looks better now than it ever has. Their string inventory has increased astoundingly. If you need something music oriented go to Giant Steps. The repairs made by their shop technicians were outstanding!
Giant Steps Music did an amazing job repairing my childβs Bari Sax. We were both impressed with the professionalism of the staff and the superior quality of the repair job. They didnβt cut any corners and now the instrument plays great! The repair price was reasonable and they even let my child play test a new Bari Saxophone during our visit. I couldnβt be happier with our experience at Giant Steps Music!
I will never shop there again. They are happy to sell you something but will screw you if you ever need/want to sell it back. A pawn shop will pay you more. And, that is pretty bad.You offered less than what was paid for it. The child had not even been in school for the last year. And the pawn shop offered more than what would have gotten through consignment. I do keep receipts. It was $2200 with $400 for what i paid renting for 3 years. Yet all ypu offered was $800 on consignment then around $350 to $400 back to you to pay for repairs. That is far less than half of what was paid for a brand new instrument. And you did not say there were bent keys only lose keys. So, at least keep your story straightYou told us after consignment at 800. Yall would keep 350 to 400 for the repairs that is far less than half of 1700 i paid. So 400 is far less than half of what was paid
I went there two days before Christmas and asked for gift ideas for someone who plays classical guitar. The salesman was very knowledgeable and made 3 suggestions. I said I would take them all. He warned that perhaps the recipient (my dad) already might have these items. In my mind I figured Id just give my mom the receipt and my dad could return/exchange as he pleased. As I was wrapping the gifts on Christmas Eve and looked at the receipt, I saw that returns are only accepted within 3 DAYS of purchase! It would have been greatly appreciated for the salesman to have warned me of that prior to purchase, especially since he thought the items may not be needed by my dad. Turns out my dad already did have 1 of the 3 things and asked me if it could be returned. Unfortunately, not at that point.
Im a beginner musician and asked for help with items and suggestions. I feel confident in my purchase because the guys here explained all of the options with pros and cons. They also had everything I needed for a reasonable price!
I just recently bought a tenor sax (Andreas Eastman) on Nov 27th. Iβm playing it right now and the D and high A notes arenβt playing well. They sound very muffled and the longer I hold onto the high D the more muffled itβll get and itβll feel as if the air Iβm blowing in, is stuck and isnβt producing a sound.
Very helpful staff and friendly atmosphere. They had a good stock of the basics for guitars.
Just before Christmas I took my alto sax into Giant Steps for a general cleaning and tune up after being in storage for a couple years. I was informed the repair cost would be between $600-$700 to repair. This was after the repair tech looked at the instrument for around 20 - 30 seconds. The guy behind the counter then informed me I would be better off to purchase a used instrument they had with was around $700 as my instrument was unplayable. I knew the guy behind the counter was only interested in the sale as I played the instrument about 30 minutes before taking it down to the store. I took my instrument and left. I took the instrument to a different repair shop near my parents house in Indiana as I was visiting with them for the holidays. I got the repair bill for $110 to clean and tune up the instrument. This confirmed to me that Giant Steps was only interest in selling an instrument and didnt want to actually help someone. I will never use their services, suggest them, or give them any of my money for anything.
Giant Steps is a wonderful music store. They are very friendly and customer focused. If they dont have what you need, they will do what they can to find it for you or lead you to the place to find it. They spent alot of time with us and didnt rush us while buying a new trumpet. They answered all of our questions and are very knowledgeable. I recommend this store.
Great personalized service. Helpful, knowledgeable and kind staff. Responsive. Outstanding selections.
Stopped by to rent an instrument for my 6 year old daughter today. Whole gang was so nice and helpful. They were just great about talking directly to her and making her comfortable as they figured out the appropriate size and set us up. Love that her experience with a violin started off so well! Thanks to all.
Got my bassoon fixed time and time again, since itβs an older model, and the staff has been extremely patient and kind. I thank you guys very much. This is definitely one of the absolute best music stores in Tennessee. Will always be my go to!
Very helpful and friendly staff.
Super helpful! Fixed my tuba really quickly and were more than fair with the fee. Highly recommended!
Went in for a tenon cork replacement. Simple job, but it took them less than an hour to complete and they texted me when my instrument was ready. Price was fair. I recommend.
When my son decided to start playing the trumpet, I didnβt know where to start! Giant Steps has been great with guiding me through the process while saving me money! I would definitely recommend them!! βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ
Assisted my son with his saxophone. Was very helpful and attentive. Helped him in choosing the mouthpiece that worked and sounded best for him. Highly recommend.
Best place around for instrument repair. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. If your student has any instrumental needs for band/lessons, this is the place to go.
We have used them for years for both service and sales. The employees are very knowledgeable and friendly and try to help you and not just sell you something that you may or may not need.
Chris has been exceptionally helpful and very nice. Ive enjoyed my experience in the store :)
I went in to get my plastic clarinet repaired and they went above and beyond in fixing everything. My clarinet looks leagues better now, canβt recommend them enough.
Had a trombone repaired. Giant Steps was awesome. Great service and great repair work.
They always go above and beyond helping us every time we go in there with our sons saxophone.
Cleaned a trumpet for us without noticing a crack. Charged us for the cleaning, upon return no refund on cleaning. Buying new trumpet from another store, will not be back.
This place is great, but it has terrible parking. Be cautious when you park and back out, thereβs a wall behind you.
Friendly staff. Great service. Quality instruments
Very friendly, helpful staff.
Rent quality instruments here for years.
