A very large selection of outdoor equipment for many different activities. If you are looking for a Kayak with peddle options they have a good selection of different types of propulsion styles. A great deal of items for hiking, backpacking and camping. Be aware this isnt a big box store cheap place, expect to pay for the quality products that they have. The staff is well versed in many of their products and likely used them.

I did not have a good experience at this Rock Creek location.The staff was not at all helpful and spent all their time talking with each other behind the counter. The only time they would talk to us was at the register or if a customer came to them needing something from the back like sandals. The staff at this location needs way better leadership and supervision.The North shore Rock Creek location however is awesome! If you need/want superior customer service ask for Gigi, especially if you want to buy sandals or have questions about clothing fit.Gigi was excellent and helped me find everything I was looking for. I ended up spending $750.00+ on new sport dresses, skirts, sandals and bathing suits. So happy!A week after we were home I got a thank you card in the mail from Gigi and the North shore store crew. I look forward to seeing them again in September.

Kinda pricey... But good customer service. I wish they had more dive gear/water sports gear.

Just came in to get out of the rain but had a wonderful selection. The staff was very good about helping without being pushy. I would love to go back sometime that I actually had money to spend!

Great gear, apparel and climbing / hiking / camping store. Has other location but this is a great taste of Rock Creek downtown. Reflects the outdoors opportunities around Chattanooga and well worth checking out. Up scale equipment with occasional sales.

Ive had such an amazing experience every time I walk into rock creek! The staff is always welcoming and I feel confident in their knowledge of outdoor equipment. Both peter and tim have made me feel exceptionally welcome walking into the store! I almost feel like Im visiting friends rather than shopping for my next outdoor adventure!

We stopped by the downtown store during a weekend trip to Chattanooga and purchased a fleece jacket for our daughter. A few days later we noticed a hole in the shoulder, a manufacturing flaw. Since we live out of town we couldn’t simply return the jacket and didn’t want to pursue a lengthy return with North Face (6-8 weeks). We called and spoke with the manager, Brittany, who was so genuine and friendly about everything. She got us in touch with Jon from customer service and after providing some photos and a receipt, he emailed us a UPS return slip to return the jacket for free and concurrently overnighted us a replacement. What more could you ask for?! We appreciate the wonderful customer service and we will definitely stop by again the next time we visit Chattanooga. You’ve earned a customer for life. Thank you!!!

This is a nice store in downtown. Prices are high, but only because they sell name brand merchandise. Mostly clothes, footwear, and small items. If you are looking for camping or other large purchase items, you will have to go elsewhere.

Smaller store with high end outdoor/trendy wear. Some gear and footwear. Most gear is focused on climbing bouldering.

Everyone who works there is super friendly and helpful, but they dont hover if you want your space.

The staff was very helpful in helping my boyfriend and I find the perfect helmets for caving. They were also very friendly!

I want my $2 for parking reimbursed. There was about a dozen men’s items in Small and Medium, but since they group all their clothing into a gender neutral layout, it’s hard to tell.

Amazing experience! LILITH was excellent!!! I am an indecisive person to say the least, and choosing a new pair of Chacos was a difficult decision with my funky wide foot and many questions about whether to go with a toe strap or not, cloud or not, single strap or double, etc. She was excellent at helping me find the perfect shoes and even adjusted my straps for me and analyzed my arch placement and all that good stuff : ) Without Liliths kind patience & expertise, I probably would have left, overwhelmed at the wide array of choices (which is a good thing! But not so much for indecisive people like myself.) I also had my 2 kids with me that day, one acting wild and attention-starved, the other one yelling and running around, and she was also great with them. The entire staff was friendly and helpful! She even helped me choose my bonus gift belt at the end of shopping, when I was so worn out from the big decision that I was trying to choose a dog leash instead on accident!!! Im happy to say I broke my new Chacos in this weekend and took them on a trip down the river, and they fit so well that I had no sore spots or blisters, which I was expecting when breaking in a new pair. Thanks so much lil Lilith!!! And great job to everyone at Rock creek downtown!

Good service and moderate selection. For a climbing-centric town such as this, I would expect a larger selection of climbing shoes, but I understand the difficulties of brick and mortar retail.
