I took in my Audi A6 for State inspection to my local Charlottesville Audi dealer. They said it didnt pass inspection and said there was a leak of hydraulic fluid. (I had never seen any fluid leak). Repair would be $2000+. I brought it to Blueridge for a second opinion. They checked the car out, said it was fine, no charge. Took car back, passed inspection easily. My take on this is that Blueridge was efficient and honest.

Over the past decades I have owned 5 BMWs. Two of them were purchased from Blueridge Motor Works and all have been serviced there. Curtis and Wanda have been great to work with over the years. Repairs and routine service are performed well by professional technicians and always to my satisfaction. Their parts and labor costs are competitive and usually better than dealer prices. Their cleaning and detailing services are the best value in town and they make my old BMWs look brand new. I have recommended their business to many and will continue to do so.

After taking my car to this company I was highly disappointed. I paid 300 dollars for a oil change and diagnostics for them to decline on performing the work! I went to 3 other dealers and they told me exactly what was wrong and did not even charge me. I did not receive a call back after they told me they would I had to call them back a week later for them to say “ oh yea we found out today” do not go here I repeat do not do business with them you will be highly disappointed. I recommend going to NTB or Total auto service. They both are kind they do great work and cost effective. You know a company is way to high when you’re waiting in the waiting room and you over hear a customer on the phone asking a breakdown of why the price is so high. I should of ran when I heard that. I wish I could give them a -5 . They don’t know how to run a business. Also they charge you you for labor to do a oil change

Literally the worst experience Ive had with a mechanic before. Took my car in for an oil leak and when I got home the oil leak was worse. Brought it back to them and they still could not fix it. After about a week I finally got my car back to find out that they had left food and trash in my car and opened my unopened gum pack??

Horrible. Made appointment for Monday, here it is Wednesday, I had to pick up my car. They never looked at it to find out what was wrong. They were supposed to call Monday when it was ready no call . I had to call Monday at 430 them multiple times just to get someone to take the call not hang up on me., oh the technician had to leave early, they said it would be ready Tuesday, well no one called at all! So I went Wednesday morning, and guess what it was on the schedule, well I did not leave my car there I took it and left. It took 3 days and still no clue whats wrong with it. They never looked at it.I went to auto zone . And they told me in 5 mins and it didnt cost me 130.00 to find out . So disappointing.

I have a 2012 bmw 335is (e92, n54). I purchased this car brand new from BMW (ordered to spec) in 2012 and have gotten all maintenance completed at dealership including oil changes every 7500 miles and additional preventative maintenance over the factory recommendations. Needless to say I am very concerned about who works on my car and take very good care of it. Recently had to have a somewhat major repair completed. Took to BMW who provided me a quote. Their quote was fair as always relative to a Bmw dealership which I am fine with the prices they charge as their overhead will typically run higher. However I have been putting off finding a reputable independent service center since out of warranty. Due to cost, This time I decided to finally look for a reputable independent shop to service my BMW. I called several shops (researched and found through the website bimmershops) in the area including Blueridge Motor Works. My experience with Blue Ridge Motor Works was excellent. I emailed them requesting a quote after hours. They were very responsive and contacted me the next morning with a quote for what I needed. They committed to factory original equipment parts. The quote was extremely fair. I dropped my car off that afternoon and they had it ready for me as promised the next afternoon. The price quoted was the exact price I paid. No messing around with so called shop/supplies charges. They even included tax in the original quote. I had fully expected to pay what was quoted plus tax...nope I paid what was quoted inclusive of tax! Wanda is who I worked and communicated with and she was great and professional. Communication was terrific, speed was terrific, I have no doubt quality of service will be great judging from the initial experience and they will stand by their work, and price was extremely fair. I’m looking forward to continuing my relationship with this service center for all my service, repair, and maintenance needs!

Overcharged for replacing stock brakes. I’ve had enormous amounts of brake dust. $600 for brake dust? I think not. I do not recommend this company at all. After calling and asking what I was charged for, they couldn’t even give me the information on the parts that THEY installed! What a load of bull.UPDATE: have gotten several calls from a woman named Wanda asking me to take my post down, like I said, the customer service was not there. If they could’ve at least explained exactly what parts were put on one of my vehicles, I wouldn’t be so upset with this situation. How do you run a shop with no records for what you put into anybody’s vehicle? It just doesn’t make sense with what I’m having to deal with along with the price I paid.

I have a Mercedes-Benz, older model. Has given excellent performance over the years. A friend recommended Blueridge to me after I complained about the local dealership and not wanting to take my vehicle there. Curtis, Wanda and Porsche have all been extremely helpful in resolving any issues I have had with the car. More than that, I trust them. To me that says it all.

I recently brought my BMW for an inspection and some minor repairs. The work was done thoroughly and with care. Since then I have returned 2 more times for repairs on run flat tires which are on my vehicle. Both times the work was completed without damage to the rims. The cost was fair and reasonable. I will continue to return in the future.

Great company with gifted mechanics and kind front office. I have been a client of there mechanics and their service since 1986. It is always top notch. They are an asset to the Charlottesville auto repair community. I am aware that local auto dealers have called Blueridge Motor Work for assistance. Expensive automobiles require talented, trained and detailed mechanics. These guys fit the bill!

Took my car there multiple times spent well over 1500 in repairs and maintenance including oil change only for them to cause new oil leaking problems I didnt have before. After this last time I noticed something hanging under my car and I also noticed it had wet oil on there and so I took my car back to them because they were the ONLY people who had been under my car and messing with anything concerning oil and under scuff plates. So I take it back and they swear up & down that nothing they did caused the problems, they then say here were going to bring it in and see whats going on so they do that, then tell me I needed an oil pan and an oil pump then showed me where the oil pan and oil pump was leaking from. But my thing is, theyre the ones who changed my oil and pulled the plug out so how was it not caused by them? If it wasnt it sure as hell was perfect timing considering the fact I wasnt having the issues before hand. And my second thing is, if they didnt cause these problems and they were already occurring, they HAD to had seen them when they were under my car and under the hood, why didnt anyone say anything about it to me? So that was 2 strikes. The 3rd strike was after they put my car on the lift and showed me and told me I all of a sudden needed an oil pump and NEW oil pan, they then charged me about 140 just for looking at what THEY had to had messed up. On top of that, when I had got them to do the oil change and all the other work, I asked them to check out something else and let me know what was wrong, they told me what they claimed was wrong when I picked it up, so I told them send me a quote on the repairs, and NEVER heard back from them until I had to bring my car back after noticing something hanging that wasnt hanging before and having oil leaks I wasnt having before. With that being said, they will NEVER have to worry about me spending a dime with them from here on out and I will be sure to let everyone I know not to as well. Although I was pissed, I could really only be mad at myself because I ve talked to a few people before going there whove had HORRIBLE experiences with them working on their cars and causing problems that wasnt occurring before hand and I shouldve listened to them and took my car and money elsewhere. I also shouldve listened to all the bad reviews Ive seen on the internet. But now I know better! I feel that they cant be trusted and that they are pretty freaking unprofessional.

Disappointed in the level of competence.2008 Mini Cooper STook my Mini to them after being referred by another auto shop as one of the better locations in Charlottesville. They said that I had oil leaks, super charge line and valves. They also wanted to so a tune up as it was a give me since they were in there. Work completed for around 2100.. They told me that fixed the problem and that I would need a new clutch eventually otherwise a sound car... 3 weeks (I took a 1600 mile trip) later my car is almost empty of oil. I take it back, they tell me it is normal for minis to burn oil and changed my oil without my permission and charged me. At this time they now said that the timing chain needed replaced. I said no thank you. Took my Mini to Mini in Richmond. Mini of Richmond opens her up and tells me that yes the timing chain needs replaced as well as the valve cover because it had blown oil all over the engine. They took me in the back and showed me. They also stated I needed a new clutch. Mini also told me that they should have done the valve cover and the timidity chain the first time they had my Mini open as it was obvious this work needed completed. They then told me that Blueridge put in subpar spark plugs that would need changed again... I dont know if Blueridge is incompetent or they just wanted to draw the job out for money but wither way Im disappointed.

I have taken my car to Blueridge Motor Works Inc. multiple times in the past, with little to no issue. However, recently I took my car to get a state inspection. $890.00 dollars later I received my car back with two of the interior Hvac buttons cracked. The owner claimed no responsibility, and refused to replace the now broken buttons. Unfortunately because this is not an Authorized BMW dealer there is nothing BMW of North America can do about this issue. I now have to seek legal representation in civil court. My suggestion to anyone who is looking for a repair or service shop in the Charlottesville area is to AVOID THIS business at all cost. They will not hold themselves accountable for damages done while in their care!
