I cannot speak highly enough of this place! Today I ordered an iced coffee that not only tasted amazing but had ice cubes in it made of coffee!! The fact that they would even think to ensure that their amazing coffee doesn’t get watered down by regular ice is incredible. The attention to detail and care for the customers are just several of the many reasons I tell all of my friends about this cafe!
This place is WONDERFUL!The owner is friendly and it is a great value. A real hidden gem. The owner’s son kindly made my dog a healthy treat with shaved ice and dog treats! My shaved ice was delicious. Great blend of flavors. They also have fancy coffee drinks and smoothies. The vibe is very chill. They have board games and comfy chairs. If you are looking to meet up with a friend for a (non-alcoholic) drink or frozen treat this is your place!! What a great find! An awesome small business!
There’s nothing like the sweet life!!! We loved everything weve tried. Favorites include grandmas tea and strawberry fields. Love all the teas - hot or cold . We especially love the owners. Kind, generous, and they make a fun and. relaxing ambience. Support family entrepreneurship at its finest!.
My friend and I found this awesome coffee shop on Saturday. We loved it. So much to look at. The menu was awesome and my chi latte was delicious.
You get a very warm feeling coming to this mom (and son) run cafe, they have shaved ice and coffees, what else would one need. Icing on the cake, they give out free flower bunches to their customers. Must try

Cute little hole in the wall coffee shop. Whether you spend 5 or 50 minutes here I can promise you will enjoy your time there. They have a little bit of everything from the menu to the many things around the shop you can play, read, or buy. The shop owner was friendly and very sweet and made our two drinks and we were gifted these flowers with our purchase which was a fun unexpected touch! Will be coming back to try the many other drinks on the menu ✨

Delicious & large assortment of authentic Hawaiian flavor shaved ice plus specialty coffee & teas. I read the negative reviews, COMPLETE LIES, been several times now &I cant find any thing related to what they wrote in their review. The staff works to make you fill at home &cared for. The mixture of music, numerous board & card games makes for a relaxing pit stop in a hectic day. Also the artwork that fills the walls is great to look at too.

The first time I came here, I was baffled at how kind the owners are, and how AMAZING the coffee is. Nothing has changed since. Lovely people and a great atmosphere :) My boyfriend and I love playing the games provided too!
This is such a great, local, unique place. Perfect for a fun dessert after dinner at New Zealand Cafe or a great place to bring the kids. I do not like snow cones, but tried shaved ice and loved it! It is delicious and refreshing. The owner truly loves what she does and is willing to give you FREE samples of various flavors. Young children are FREE, icy dog treats are FREE, when you buy 5 items the 6th one is FREE, and veterans, police, and firemen can get a treat for FREE. The prices are very reasonable and the product is excellent!
I cannot say enough good things about the Sweet Life! The customer service, ambience, and drinks keep me coming back. The smores hot cocoa is my go to.

This is a FANTASTIC family friendly place! Tons of treats for everyone! My dairy free son ofcourse enjoyed the shaved ice and there was like 500 flavors! (Not literally but seriously SO many) and coffee, icecream, teas, and lots of other treats! No need to bring games or things to do, they are fully stocked with board game and cards games and books! It is seriously one of the best places I have been in Charlotte with my 4 kids! Very reasonable prices and great to support small, local business! I will be back often!

I would give 10 stars if I could. Ignore the 3 trolls giving bad reviews . This place has the best coffee of all 3 coffee houses in the area. The service is friendlier too. I love the decor and comfy chairs. I also love the fact that they support local artists. Im only sorry I only found this place recently. I plan to go here as much as I can.
Friendly customer service with relaxed atmosphere. I enjoyed my hazelnut coffee with oat milk. Kids loved the generous portions of their frozen treats! Plenty of boards games for family fun. Don’t overlook the book section for some seriously good reads. We have found our local coffee shop!

Best coffee shop that Ive been to in Charlotte. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the coffee looks and tastes fantastic, and they have a variety of drinks and desserts to suit any taste. It feels like every time I go they find a way to one-up themselves from the last. I will definitely be a regular here.
Extensive menu, family friendly, relaxing and warm atmosphere, great service! Tons of games and reading material available to entertain you while you enjoy your treats. We also appreciated using the space for a recent group gathering. We will be back!
This place is wonderful! The menu has delicious options for coffee, gourmet lattes, homemade teas, and the Hawaiian desserts. My coffee was incredible, and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. There is a wide array of board games available to play, and a reading nook full of books. Such a cool spot!

I feel bad leaving this review because I can see the effort that the owners out into the place, but I just wasnt really feeling it. The decor looked unorganized and like a messy room. But more importantly, the drink wasnt all too great. I got a chai latte. I asked to make the flavor stronger, yet it tasted the same as when I first tried it. It tasted too watered down and weak. I wouldnt come back unless they bettered their drinks.

We love this place! Great shaved ice for my kiddo and delicious coffee for me plus tons of games to choose from. I spend less than $10 every single time we go. We’ve even started having some of our Girl Scout troop events at Kona Snow, they’re always welcoming and ready to take on ice for our whole troop. It’s a chill place to hang or study. I highly recommend this spot!
Not your run of the mill coffee shop. They have a huge selection of choices - got coco loco with warm toasty coconut. And, they have super friendly people working here.
The owner and her son asked me if I would be more comfortable if they wore their masks as they cater to their customers. If you say no it’s fine (like I did) because I’m not sucked into the fear factor then you cannot leave a bad review saying they are not wearing masks...just sayin’.
I’ve been coming in with my toddler regularly for a few months now and I can honestly say Kona Snow is our favorite place to visit in town. The owner is so sweet and personable, and the shaved ice is always a hit. You can sample any flavor, but my favorite is a combination of pink bubblegum and wedding cake called the Ballerina. I love how many board games they have in shop, too—it’s one of the many reasons this place should be on rotation for your family outings.

This is a place to get the best coffee and Hawaiian style shaved ice. You believe me, Coffee is way better then Starbucks.My Daughter Aarushi loved ice here and almost wants to go every day. The owner ( Robin) is very nice and kind is plush for all customers. Great things in our neighborhood. Keep it up.
We discovered this little gem of a coffee shop/dessert spot/hang out by accident and loved it! Great coffee drinks, dessert options and friendly service in a funky atmosphere complete with old school board games. Its hidden in the Harris Teeter shopping center on Sardis Road North/Monroe Road - but its worth a visit if you go!

This place is a great addition to the area! My wife and I stopped in to try a Kona Bowl and it was great. The owner is extremely friendly and patient, and let us sample any flavor we wanted. We didnt get to try the coffee but the drinks look delicious. Well be back!
Very cozy, yet roomy place. Best coffee in Charlotte in my opinion. Shaved ice cant be beat, along with exotic flavors. They have board games and room for your friends too. Absolutely my favorite place for coffee. Many traditional and custom flavorings for the coffee. Cant go wrong there.
I love this place and the unique ice. Its not Italian ice or a snow cone but better in my opinion. Well over 20 flavors to choose and you are able to get multiple flavors. The owner is so sweet and really cares about her customers. We will keep coming back
COFFEE!!! Don’t let the name fool you. This neighborhood needed a coffee shop and now we have one. They have such a wide range of coffee and delicious, unique desserts. Plus they have gift items from local artists AND board games for the family. The owners are so nice (and usually behind the counter!) This is the perfect place for a hot afternoon treat. Or to meet a friend. So glad they are open!

This unique spot is a great place to spend and afternoon with friends. The Hawaiian theme and island reggae go perfect with a shaved ice, and if it is cold out get a coffee instead. The staff is super friendly.

The lady was so kind and enthusiastic and determined to make a good ice coffee even though it was 6pm. And the coffee, the nutty Hawaiian, was SO GOOD that I missed my turn heading down the road not five minutes away. 10/10 would come back.
Hidden gem
I really wanted to like this place cause I love shaved ice. Unfortunately this place was a little odd. There was a garage sale happening the day we went which made it a nightmare with a 1 year old wanting to touch everything. Also the decor of the place just makes it super cluttered. Hate it but we dont be back.

This was absolutely dreadful! i would give 0 stars if i could. the shaved ice took three hours after we placed our order just to come to the table-on a TUESDAY AFTERNOON. it was also completely unappetizing and outrageous price for the poor quality of this food colored mush. i threw up twice. I like Starbucks but they have nothing on Kona Snow!!! This is a kid & pet friendly place that has the best friendly service you can ever ask for! Im there twice a week and if it were up to my girls, it would be everyday of the week. Thanks Robin, for give us such a gem of a hangout spot!

Neat concept. They have a ukulele meetup here on the 3rd Sunday afternoon of the month which brings an island vibe. The only thing I dislike about this place is the decor. Its just too cluttered. My OCD cant take it. But the Hawaiian Praline coffee is good. 🙂

Very nice lady inside. Very well designed it is a fun atmosphere with tons of games (table games) to play while your waiting on your coffee, sno cone, or anything. The sizes are more then enough to share if you need to. It is a family friendly place.

Wow so creative the guy that runs the store was very animated and flip the bottles all different ways and really entertained you while he made a very very good cup of coffee very authentic Hawaiian coffee delicious when you go in and ask for the most popular cup and the lion eyes is very good as well

We love this place! The lady is super, super kind. Very customer service based. We havent been in there in a while but now that the weather is warmer it will be a frequent stop.
