Greg our salesman helped us build our boat and spent so much time with us, at the dealership and over the phone. We are first time boat owners, so you can imagine all the questions we had. π On delivery, Greg spent the afternoon with us on the water showing us everything the boat could do!! Joe in the Pro Shop got us all the right gear we needed for the entire family! Amy & Josh in the service department I canβt say enough great things about them!! Those two are absolutely amazing! When we decided to purchase a new boat we were pointed towards Southtown in Charlotte. From the the first phone call, through the new build, all the way to delivery Greg T was the best! Been a customer of Southtown since 2018. The staff is and has always been super knowledgeable, friendly and understanding of the needs/wants in a boat. The family atmosphere they hold is why we continue to buy from them. Starting with the sales journey with Greg, he goes above and beyond to ensure that we are a priority even though we know there are many more familyβs like us. During our 21 Supra SA build he was on top of everything with skiers choice even all the headaches along the way. You want a new Moomba or Supra go see Greg! Next is Joe in the Pro Shop. What can I say Joe always comes through for us. Whatever we need he always is the best help and always a pleasure to work with! Last the Service side. In true Southtown fashion they come through and meet the expectations. Fast turnaround times to limit downtime. Canβt thank the team at Southtown for all they do to help my family have the best memories on the water!
Working with Amy at the front was a great experience. She continuously worked with me and made sure my boat was setup for for summer. Prices were fair for a dealership and I feel they diagnosed multiple problems in a fair manor. I really like they take the boat out for a lake test after performing maintenance. Now I know there is nothing I will find once I am out on the lake. Overall great experience, I would recommend them for upgrades as well as general maintenance. I will be back.I also liked the app and knowing where the boat was in maintenance while it was there. I knew what they were waiting on and I could see it real time.

We just purchased a 2021 Moomba boat this year from Southtown Watersports. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Our salesman was Greg Tippett. He was a great guy to work with. He was very knowledgeable about the boat we purchased as well as how it compared to other boats. He was extremely patient in explaining the boats features and demonstrated how everything worked. Worst customer service Ive ever experienced. I took my boat in to get timing set Sept 1st, after $1000 of trial and error of things I didnt ask to be done, quotes on replaced parts that were the wrong part numbers (after my own research), multiple blatant lies about services (claimed to take boat on the water but the mechanic said it was never water tested), I got the boat back November 19th in the same mechanical condition it was when I dropped it off. My boat in ordinary conditions is kept in my heated and cooled garage meticulously cleaned. When I get it back its got mildew spots and leaves filling the cabin. there were several instances in which I had told him I had already replaced certain things and they said they would only charge for the labor and not the parts in the final quote they acted like they never said anything like that. Im really not a complainer but this was just a horrible experience and I urge anyone to avoid this business like the plague.
As a rule, unless Im giving 5/5 stars, I dont leave reviews. So with that said, this is my last ditch effort to get someone at Southtown to hear/care that my (fully under warranty) 19 SE 450 has been completely broken down this entire summer season. I have loaded the boat 3 times with out of town family and friends at the dock after servicing, to have the boat not start, steer, etc.I have called and texted for 3+ months pleading for help. When I get a response, appointments are broken. When they show up they disregard the list of broken items. At this point, I have zero confidence that any service work being done by this group is being done correctly or per dealer specs. The boat itself has been decent, but the brand is only as good as the dealer service that backs it.
I had a great experience buying from Josh. He is a true professional and handled the entire transaction perfectly. I met him at the end of summer boat show and had no intention of actually buying a boat at that time. He listened to what I was looking for, made a few suggestions and we found the perfect model for me and my family. We water tested it the following day and he was very detailed with my wife and I going over all the features. I contracted a few days later and then took delivery 2 days after that. We met and once again and took the boat out to set up all the profiles and to make sure I was comfortable loading and unloading. I could not of asked for a better experience and love the new boat.

First let me say i am very difficult to work with and very picky. I can frustrate even the most seasoned salesman. Called southtown and Tod ansewers the phone. From the start he was very honest and answered all my question truthfully without putting down other brands or dealers. Great Customer service is an understatement. They go above and beyond to both earn and keep your business. If you are in the marked for a new boat and want the best customer service around with an honest sales team....Check these guys out. You wont be disappointed.
I have always had great experiences with the guys at Southtown. Everyone there is pretty laid back, but very professional. The service work on my boat has always been impeccable and the prices on their merchandise are great. I recommend this place to all my friends.

Wasted my afternoon. Arranged a test drive with Josh at Mountain Island Lake. I later spoke to Cameron whom I had met at the shop when I originally looked at the boat. He confirmed that I should be at Mountain Island at 4:30. While I was on the way there Cameron texted an address at Lake Wylie. So instead I made my way there. I then find out that the boat was indeed at Mountain Island. I am not sure why this happened but I am not satisfied with the explanation that it was a miscommunication.
Southtown is great. Bought the boat from them in May. Very helpful. Had some problems with the title and registration process. I later in the summer Scratched my gelcoat on the boat pretty bad and took it back for winterization and had the gel repaired while it was there. Was very pleased with the work done on the gelcoat. I couldnβt see any trace that there had once been a scratch. Great gelcoat guy.
They stayed late Saturday for me to pick up my boat, thank you!
These guys ROCK! No hassle and I was a HUGE MasterCraft guy before I met the crew at SouthTown and drove a Supra! I will never own or deal with another boat dealer. The service after the sale was just as good. The boat is always returned to my lift full of gas and CLEAN as the day I bought it.
