Wonderful selection of wines. I’m not from the area, but I come to Charlotte about once a year. I always make this a stop!

As someone who travels for work, usually spots like The Wine Vault are super snobby and don’t really welcome “outsiders”. Not the case here. I immediately felt welcome and comfortable. Atmosphere was 10/10The fella at the counter (Ryan?) was super patient and accommodating. I didn’t get the usual eye-roll treatment for asking newbie questions. One of the most impressive things though, was his ability to recite what was on each shelf and where. Totally blew my mind. He even knew the arrangement of the beer coolers in the back by heart. Staff 10/10Which brings me to my final and most important point...Yeah, they’ve got a ton of wine. Hopefully you already figured that out. What surprised the heck outta me was the glorious selection of beers tucked away in the back. So many good beer choices! Not just random hipster beers with abstract art on a turtle-safe can, but a well curated selection of delicious beers.Selection 10/10Do yourself a favor. If you’re in Charlotte, stop by. You won’t regret it.

This place deserves a six star review. It flawlessly integrates incredible craft beer (on tap!!), a genuinely welcoming atmosphere, incredible prices, and a sense of humility. And thats just if youre looking to have a beverage onsite. They have a huge collection of bottles and cans from all around the world for you to bring home and try. Unassuming yet extensive, this beer library is one of the best watering holes Ive stumbled upon in all my global travels.

Beautiful wine store with lots of choices and knowledgeable sommeliers to help you.

Call before you go to confirm that they’re open. Could be staffing shortage like everywhere, hope they can overcome

A great place to share conversation with friends over a bottle of wine or beer. Comfortable seating arrangements offer space for a group. More seats on the patio. Nice selection of wine. Owner and staff are helpful in beversge selection and in planning for a larger group. It is ok to bring food from another place. I have been enjoying this space for many years.

Shocked that this place didn’t offer a replacement tasting for an awful selection of the Zinfandel. Poor business practice. I’ve been to thousands of places in the US and Europe and this had to have been the rudest and stingiest practice I’ve encountered. Never going back again...

Perfectly unpretentious place where you can sip a lil and see alot. I love this place because its a diverse group of people, if you come enough youll see regulars but it never feels exclusive. If youve never been come on in. Whether its wine for that lil shendog you are going to, a place to study or catch up just go. The staff and owner are always welcoming and helpful.

Great place to people watch, enjoy the weather, and indulge in a wide selection of wines, beers, and ports. Theres something for everybody and theyre dog friendly.

Wish they actually adhered to their hours of operation.

There were fruit flies everywhere inside. One got in my glass and bottle. When I took it to the front I was told he could strain it, after telling him that wasn’t an option he offered a replacement. Okay customer service, kinda run down.

I was a consistent patron of The Wine Vault since 2012 until I purchased a glass of wine and four of the many fruit flies inside the establishment landed in my full glass of wine. I returned my glass of wine to the cashier within moments of my purchase and she rudely refused to rectify the situation by exchanging my tainted fruit fly wine with a fresh glass. Instead she wrote down the owners email address (Tim) and encouraged me to contact him. Well I did....and its been 1 week since I have, yet he has not had the courtesy nor business professionalism to respond.

This is the coolest little place attached to the beer garden. Had an amazing selection. The lady there made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We were also told the owner tastes each wine before ordering! Cant wait to visit their patio when it warms up.

First time visiting. Asked for a tasting of a wine I was interested in, my friend and I were denied any samples. I asked why and was told, “because we had a tasting earlier”. So we asked for a suggestion based on our taste.Went outside to see others enjoying their red wine in a proper goblet, meanwhile we were served in a small, cheap glass with no room for the wine to breath. I went back inside to ask for a goblet.We were denied again with the response, “those are reserved for customers who buy bottles that cost more than $50”.Important side note, the woman in front of us ordered ONE GLASS of wine, she was OFFERED samples and was served in a proper goblet... so you can imagine how and why we are so offended.I do not suggest anyone expect to be treated any different.Also, the wine is terrible!

Lovely little spot to grab some wine and spot outside and enjoy a nice evening. They have live music sometimes on the weekends. Wine per the glass is a little pricey, but bottles are very reasonable and they have a great selection.

Been coming to The Wine Vault for a few years now. Tim and his staff are always very friendly and helpful. A great place to hang out and chat. If you want to learn more about wine and beer they have the knowledge and good conversation too!

Great selection of wines. Can enjoy sitting comfortably inside or outside and enjoy the nice weather. They did have live music while me and my girlfriend were there, which was a plus sitting outside

Wine Vault is great. I enjoy working in the space. They have an awesome collection of wine and cigars. Pat is incredible. The last time I was there, she brightened my day, even though it was raining cats and dogs outside.

Love This Place! I have been going here for years. It has an awesome selection of wine and beer at great prices. You can come all year long they have a wonderful patio with great people watching and a great indoor section for cool days. I have had a few parties here and everything went amazing with great service!

I was a bit apprehensive about walking in at first. Only because I just really needed to use the rest room! I asked the young lady at the counter and she was so polite. She was involved in a conversation when I walked in, but she acknowledged me as if I were a paying customer and invited me back. I appreciated that.Will definitely visit simply based on the customer service.

Went for a wine tasting. The person who I assume was the manager or owner spills wine on me. He doesnt apologize he offers me a used napkin he was wiping the counter off with and then proceeded to tell me to go to the bathroom. Rude and unprofessional. Also said we didnt hear the last wine name in tasting because we were talking. Never again.

The wine vault is one of a kind, not in the sense that it is a wine lounge and biergarten, but in the sense that it provides a unique atmosphere, a diverse crowd, great live music, and warm and accommodating staff. If youre looking to relax with some friends in a welcoming environment, pick from a huge selection of fine wines and beer in bottle or on tap, this is the place to go. Also, you are welcome to bring your dogs, and can bring outside food. If you get hungry, you can always order food from the nearby venues. This place is highly recommended.

This is a great shop that has a lot of selections. Everything from local beer to imported wines, topped off with a friendly staff and inviting decor. Local to UNCC, it usually has a mix of grad students and young professionals. Wine tastings are held every week.

This is a great place to meet friends, if you just want to chat on a glass of wine or a beer. No tv, so if you are a sports fan, this is not your place. Bathroom are clean which is very important to me. Just a classy place overall.

Yesterday, I decided to go to the Wine Vault with my sister. As soon as, I walked in I said hello to the rude employee and I asked her how her baby was doing because like I said Ive been going to the Wine Vault for years and I remember seeing her pregnant. I also remember seeing her baby at the store. She just stared at me. I felt very uncomfortable and I explained​ to her that Ive been coming to the Wine Vault for years and I remember seeing her baby at the store. She continued to stare at me and said, SHES OK! with a very rude tone. I proceed to walk away and select my bottle of wine. I returned to the register to pay for my bottle of wine. I apologized to her by saying, Im sorry if I offended you. I was just trying to be nice to you. She continued to stare at me and very rudely said, I DONT KNOW YOU! I just said, ok. Then she grabbed the bottle of wine and said, IS THIS TO GO?! I was about to walk away and never come back, but I decided to pay for the bottle of wine and stay to wait for my sister​.A few months ago, I went to the Wine Vault with my husband. I asked her if she can help me find a wine bottle that is similar to Josh Cabernet. She refused to help me and said very rudely that she didnt know of a wine similar to Josh Cabernet. I went to another employee and asked for her assistance. She was very nice and helpful. She helped me select a wine. She was a petite girl with dark hair. I saw her there yesterday.On another occasion (maybe a year ago). I informed her that one of the restrooms was very dirty. She replied again very rudely, I cant control how men piss! And she proceeded to walk away.It is very unfortunate that we will no longer go to the Wine Vault because of their rude employee with bad customer service.I will stop bringing my family and friends to the Wine Vault. She doesn’t smile and doesn’t make you feel welcome. She has the worst customer service skills in the world. She is not nice and/or helpful. She gets pissed off when you ask her a question. She is even more rude if you try to be nice to her. For a while now, I was avoiding coming to the Wine Vault when I saw her at the register. I would just turn around and go to 201 Central off Prosperity Church.My advise to the Wine Vault is to have her take some customer service courses and teach her how to deal with the public. The Wine Vault is losing clientele because of her.

I had been to this place about 6 years ago, it was very nice and popular but now when I went back it seems like the outside seating has gone down the hill. Its not very clean and youll be lucky if you get a seat so try go early
