Second State is a great little coffee shop. The toasts & waffles are delicious!! The pour over I had was incredible. I loved the hint of blueberry & chocolate in the coffee. We will definitely be back!

I have had the MOST incredible experience with Charleston Specialty Foods this year. With COVID-19 preventing lots of social interactions, I needed to get 15 gifts to dear friends from California to Texas to New York State. As a native South Carolinian, I thought that a little southern meal would be the best possible gift: warmth and love! Breakfast biscuits, pancakes, grits, ham and soups for my friends in the cold northeast! I ordered online and also needed to call for several questions. This team was amazing. Friendly, helpful, quick and so professional! While I wish I could have been in Charleston to purchase the goodies personally, I had an amazing experience ordering from afar. Now that I live in California, I can say that the weather in California is great, and so is the surf, but, that is the only thing that is great here. Glad to have accidentally found your store on line. I sure do miss Charleston a lot. Especially the food and the people. Nice to see that I can now order some badly needed Southern staples to stock my kitchen with. Sure wish I would have known to purchase one of your baseball hats before moving. I hope your business thrives! BTW, nobody in California seems to know what real grits are. The only grits are instant grits.

I needed local raw honey so stopped into this charming shop. They were so accommodating and offered samples of their cookies which were DELICIOUS, so delicious I grabbed a bag of them to buy. Their system was having issues running my card so they GAVE me the cookies! I have yet to try the honey, but am looking forward to it!

They have the perfect ingredients to make all my specialty, nostalgic dishes. And they have great, fast shipping.
