Walgreens King Street Market is a great place for all the necessities you need to get by. It is centrally located in the middle of Charleston at King and Calhoun Street so it it easy to walk to from everywhere. I like that they have a food and drink section that has a lot of the essentials. It also has a Charleston local gift section for Charleston gifts that are at better prices than some other local stores. This Walgreens is one of my favorites.

I was pleasantly surprised to see the same prices in this location as my local store! Inventory on the items I needed were out of stock but I didnt leave empty handed.

Probably the worst Walgreens in the nation.. Dirty out of stocks and the employees look like the despise working here. The pharmacy is open a few hours every day and not on weekends.. huh ??Ac never works if it rains it floods … you can’t make this up … very sad

I work close to this Walgreens and so have used it for prescriptions. I like the pharmacy staff and would continue to use them if it werent for the location/clientele. There are a lot of homeless people with mental health problems who hang out around the store and use the restroom. I had a very scary, disturbing encounter with one today that led me to believe he could be a threat to people in the area, which is a busy part of King Street. I called the store and spoke to the manager afterwards, who did not seem at all interested in hearing what happened and told me in a somewhat rude manner you can call the police if you want to. I called the police to report him, who said they would be on the lookout. The man mentioned having 100 guns to me in an unhinged way and I felt it should be reported just in case. While the location is convenient in many ways, I will be switching to another pharmacy after this experience.

Employee yelled at me and my family for standing together in line and not social distancing. Even though were family and all heading home together. Didnt ask questions, just yelled at us.

I work just down the road from this Walgreens, so I tend to go there whenever I need pictures printed. I sent a picture to be printed on a Friday and received the email confirmation that it was ready for pickup that afternoon, but it was too late that day for me to get it before going home so I went on Monday instead. I also needed to get a couple of other items, and when I went to check out and pick up the pictures the two women working couldnt find my photo. Thats fine - apparently they ran out of printer paper due to a couple of big jobs. However, the only reason I know that is because the two ladies were talking to each other about it, instead of to me. They never actually told me directly that they didnt have my picture, and offered no apology or in any way acknowledged that I was inconvenienced. I paid for my other purchase, and left without hearing another word from either lady - no sorry about that, no thank you, no have a nice day. Nothing. Im not normally one to be snarky about customer service; I usually want to just get in and get out with minimal interaction. But when theres a problem, and when its clearly the fault of the store instead of me, I do expect something - at least to be spoken to directly about the problem! They also didnt bother to tell me when theyre expecting to get in more paper (of course, why would they tell me that when they didnt even tell me my picture wasnt there).I am profoundly unimpressed.

I bought $80 worth of OTC meds and supplies and as I was checking out I asked the clerk where the restroom was. She said the bathrooms are closed until 7am. It was 6:48am. Her comment was “if I open it for you I’d have to open it for everyone else. We don’t want people in there doing drugs” It was a 24 hour store and they close the restroom from 9pm to 7am. I get that. At some point common sense comes into play.

Very convenient location in the heart of the downtown and they are open twenty four hours a day. visited the store many times and every time i found what i needed, they only bad thing in the store unfortunately are the people who works there, slow service and most of the time not much help, i hope they get a better trained staff soon.

Great location! The store is always nice, clean, and well stocked even though its a very busy place. The staff is really friendly and informative, especially the pharmacists. Its definitely the best drug store in Downtown Charleston.

Slow service, not enough people working, need someone to help you access the bathroom ( which was absolutely filthy). Don’t live around here, but wouldn’t ever go back. Customer service isn’t pleasant either and I never felt welcome or as though anyone cared that I was there. I wasn’t the only one frustrated either. Lucky this is a Walgreens because any other neighborhood store would be closed with this kind of service.

I normally dont write reviews for Walgreens, because they typically always have the same blah service, but this location is the exception.We visited this location twice during our trip to Charleston, and each time we did, the staff was just so pleasant, I had to let people know.Not only is the staff here pleasant, it is a very unique location in general. There is a frozen yogurt and coffee bar INSIDE the store. It was never opened when we were there, but it was a neat concept.

Cashier was extremely nice and helpful. They had everything I came for and I was in and out in no time.

I visited this Pharmacy when I was experiencing an exuberant amount of gas. Luckily the staff were there to help me locate GasX. As I took the product off the shelf, I farted.

Luther is literally the greatest person I have ever met. He will give you a shoulder to cry on when youre buying pedialyte at 2:30 am. Pretty sure he has a degree in psychology.

Been here 3 times while visiting Charleston for basic necessities. Never had anyone treat us so rudely every time we walk in a store. I never leave reviews but my mind is so blown I had to share just how awful this place is.

On Friday, February 23rd at midnight I walked into Walgreens hungry, thirsty, and in need of a restroom. I asked the gentlemen at the desk if I may use the restrooms. They said the restrooms are closed at 10pm. I told them thats a shame and really not good business. I they said we dont make the rules. I said I completely understand and please tell your manager that as a customer I was planning on buying something to eat and drink but because I was not allowed to use the restroom Im just going to drive home. The employees told me walgreens is a multibillion dollar company and we dont need your money. I was shocked at the rude retort and dont plan on going back.

Like their nice candy selections, pretty cute. Like much better than the CVS on st.phillips. Had huge candy sale (75% off!) after Ester!

Great place to get smokes and cigars in down town

Girl with wing eye liner was extremely rude to me and got angry with me for being confused as no employee had told me if a counter someone was standing at was open. The employee at the counter in question then rang me up, making the rude comment the other employee said quit useless and somewhat shameful. Hopefully management can do something about this as it isnt the only instance

Very convenient place to have a walgreens. Only place in town where I could find a charleston cougars hoodie other than at the college shop whose opening times were in conflict with my own availability after work.

Bathroom! Had to pay to park, waited and had to go back out to pay more waiting on the bathroom some guy yelling on the phone to another guy IN the bathroom!!

Dont ask to use the restroom even if youre a customer. I was lied to by a manager and told the rest room was out of order and then another employee goes in to use it. REALLY WALGREENS?????? If you dont want the public using your facilities then put them in the back and dont identify where they can be found. Pathetic customer service.

This is a large Walgreens with lots of selection. It is nice to have a business that can give CVS a reality check!

Very helpful pharmacy.

Be careful - the price at the counter barcode reader come up different than how they are marked in the isle. Also note that labels on the isles dont always match whats actually in them.

Went and asked the employee for an iPhone charger. Got back to the hotel to see I was sold an android charger. There’s only 2 kinds of chargers cmoooooon man
