After calling 2 different CVS in the area that closed, I called one more pharmacy in Mt Pleasant (off Rifle Ridge road) who told me it was policy that it would take at least 24 hours to transfer a prescription. I knew very well this was not the case as a longtime employee of the company.Finally, I called this CVS that a little farther than where I was staying but it was okay. Even though I told her before she closed (an hour or more) she had them ready for me in less than 20 minutes...less than what it took me to drive there. When I got there she was alone in the pharmacy and she was handling it. For the record CVS, just because she can do it alone doesnt mean she should have to! 😉 She is an asset I am thankful for.

CVS Pharmacy on George Street in Charleston is a great pharmacy and drug store that is conveniently located in the middle of Charleston. It is an easy walk from just about everywhere on the Peninsula and is great if you need something in a hurry and need to get in and out quick fast. They have a lot of things that you need including snacks, drinks, cards, and other personal items at a good price. I like the layout of the store and they way everything is organized as they are able to fit a lot in a small face with plenty of room to move around. The staff here is great and and friendly and does everything they can to help you and get you on your way. This is one of my favorite drug stores in Charleston.

See a lot of reviews here that are being overly negative towards the staff. Feel the need to write a review to off-set some, particularly as Ive been going here for... 10 years now? Its a very busy store but despite this Ive never had issues getting anything filled nor have I ever had an issue with any of the pharmacists or technicians there. Theyve always been friendly with me, and Ive witnessed them dealing with some... uhhhh.... less than pleasant people to say the least. Great location and great staff in my experience.

None of the visible sales items rang up on sale. Had to wait a long time while the cashier waited on her fellow employee to check out and chat. Will find a new place next time I’m in town for necessities.

A group of friends and I were racially profiled and falsely accused of stealing on two separate occasions.

Stopped by to pick up an Rx. The pharmacist, whom I assume has taken some class related to viruses and how theyre spread, proceeds to talk to a customer after he pulls his mask down. In the middle of a pandemic.

If you like endless waiting for your prescriptions and groceries this is the place for you! Lived downtown for years, worst CVS I’ve ever been to. Pharmacy staff is not helpful at all. The minute clinics sends you bills (and collections) after saying you don’t have a copay. After working in pharmacy patient support I can firmly say they have HORRIBLE customer support and should retrain or rehire more competent people.

My prescription was supposed to be ready by the 8th. I went to pick it up on the 13th and it still was not ready (even though i had gotten a text saying it was ready). When i went to explain to the lady that I had not had my prescription in a few days and was going through withdrawals she basically told me “tough luck” and walked away from me. She was very rude and unwilling to help a regular customer. Very disappointed in the service I experienced today.

Always nice cashier and always helpful. Store is very clean and organized and has basically everything youll ever need. Its 24hrs so you dont have to rush and worry about it closing.

Wish i could give a negative star. Pharmacist was totally rude and unprofessional. Called CVS customer service and they contacted the employee to let them know that she was violating company policy by refusing to fill my script.I am filing a discrimination complaint against cvs. She also violated the HIPPA act by yelling out my personal medical info. Stay away from this store.

After leaving Student Health in frustration, which is apparently where my tuition goes to be thrown in the garbage, I had the most wonderful experience at the George Street CVS Minute Clinic. The doctor saw my frustration and saw me right away, extracted my ear, and wrote me a prescription for an ear infection. I wish I could remember her name, but she was very kind and understanding. I will definitely be going to Minute Clinic from now on!

Will not be going back to this pharmacy again. VERY RUDE young girl behind the counter, Courtney. I assume she was a technician because she was not wearing a white pharmacist coat. This is not the first rude encounter I’ve had with the pharmacy staff. Some of them need a real attitude check. Customers should NOT be treated this way.

Did not stock Caltrate slow release tablets. Had to settle for something else. Will check Amazon .

They will not leave us alone. They are constantly calling or texting to refill a prescription. I keep telling them we have moved out of state. Calls keep coming. Horrible customer service. Im not using CVS here because of them.

Never in my life have I seen someone as rude as the pharmacy staff here. I couldnt believe it! Luckily I never have to go here again. I do not recommend this place at all.

Quality is good when you finally get your prescriptions. Store looks clean and appealing. BUT this CVS has never adapted to the overwhelming number of students using this location although store has been there for years. Calling branch manager does no good: calls are never returned or even acknowledged. My current issue: two prescriptions dropped off Saturday at 5pm. Told to wait an hour so I said Id pick up Monday. 47 hours later (!) prescriptions still not ready. Their excuse: a three-hour computer breakdown. Please.Im stuck, its the only pharmacy I can walk to. Hopefully you can choose somewhere else.

Terrible pharmacy experience. I got there 1 minute before 10 to fill my 9 month old daughter’s epi pen prescription. We just found out she has an egg allergy and she had been in the emergency room all night. They would not even try to fill it and told me to go to the only 24 hour CVS half and hour away. Unbelievable the laziness and inhumanity of that pharmacist. Special place in hell for people like her

Never have had too much trouble with the pharmacy besides normal inconveniences. But DO NOT get photos printed here if you need them by a certain time. The staff is incompetent. The girl who finally ended up helping me was very polite and obviously felt bad about the mistake but this isnt a one time thing. Thank god Walgreens opened up a block over, Ill be using them from now on.

I wish I could give less than 1 star. The people at the counter today were difficult to deal with. My doctor had to call my Rx in twice because they lost the first one. The pharmacist attended to a young man at the minute clinic, and when he was walking to the counter with his Rx, she asked him loud enough for all to hear if she had given him a fact sheet on hemorroids?! How rude!!! Ill use the Walgreens at King and Calhoun from now on!

Ridiculous! My daughter has attempted to receive a prescription that was called in for the past 3 days and has been unable to pick up her prescription. She went today and they gave her the wrong medicine! Then they are not helpful at all. They have not tried to get in contact with the doctor to find out what is going on or assist her in any manner.

How does a college pharmacy not have extended hours? We get sick, need medication, and have to hitch a ride to North Charleston. Wheres the FU emoji?
