Like some others who have posted reviews here, I have dealt with 14 & Up Resale in the past with no issues. Recently, however, I called to see if they were accepting fall and winter clothing and was told they were. (The reason I called ahead is because I live two hours away.) Yesterday, my friend and I hauled two large bags of clothing and some dresses on hangers to the shop, only to be told we hadnt been there for a long time, they were overwhelmed with clothes, etc., etc. etc. (The reason we hadnt been there in while was because we are both well over 65 and had been staying close to home during the height of the pandemic.) Anyway, the owner glanced at the dresses on the hangers, then opened one of the large bags and took a peek at one of the brand new colored denim vest and matching plaid blouse sets laying on top then rudely announced, These clothes are too old, and I dont have time to go through these bags. I was shocked as about half of my clothes still had the tags on them, and most were from stores like Soft Surroundings and Coldwater Creek. When I pointed this out, she explained, By old, I mean they are outdated; we dont accept anything more than two years old. My clothes were not more than two years old, and quite frankly, were considerably more fashionable than what was hanging in the window and on the racks inside. (In the other bag, I also had brand new name-brand purses and shoes.) So, basically, we drove two hours to bring our clothes to this shop in good faith, but the owner couldnt take ten minutes to look through them. (Keep in mind that we were willing to leave the bags to be be gone through at her leisure.) It was very obvious that they just had more clothes than they could use, and since we were not regulars, we were treated poorly and dismissed. In the past, we usually ended up spending the money we earned from selling clothes there to purchase other clothes from the shop, but that has come to an end as we will not be back!

I ALWAYS find way more than I can even buy. Beyond shoes and purses are scarves, hats, and a wide array of jewelry to match! I shop for gifts there very frequently without any reservations. I love this shop, and the atmosphere and service are welcoming and warming. Its a cozy shopping experience every time!

I literally buy 80% of my clothes here. Excellent quality resale clothing, shoes, handbags, coats, etc. I can afford Talbots, Ralph Lauren, Tommy, other brands when I shop here. Great owner and staff, so sweet.

Been a loyal customer for years, since Pam was at her first location on MacCorkle Ave. Its the only dedicated plus size resale in Charleston area. Pam is a chatty, busy person--thats just her personality. I take my clothes there to make a little money, realizing they are going to be donated if they dont sell. thats fine with me! My only complaint is for some reason, a scented candle is always burning.Great store, quirky,, worth my time & patronage.

My friend and I meet in Charleston several times a year as its the halfway point for us. We ALWAYS stop to see our girls first thing. It wouldnt be a trip without some good shopping deals, being treated like old friends. We will be there this weekend, with doggie treats!

I love when I come to the Charleston area to stop and shop at this store. The staff are helpful and friendly, clothes are clean and prices are very reasonable.

Ive purchased clothes there several times with no issues. I asked about possibly bringing clothes into the shop to have them sold, which I proceeded to do the following week. I brought a large bag with an array of clothing items and two pairs of brand new shoes (I ordered them online and they were too small). The lady glanced at my large bag and decided they werent accepting clothing OR shoes at this time. I embarrassingly left the store and donated all of the items shortly after...so beware if you plan on dropping off any clothing/shoes - you may be turned away for unknown reasons.
