Nelson is my hero - on a road trip and my car’s air conditioning went out. He identified the issue, ordered the part, and had it all done in about an hour. Truly an unparalleled experience as far as car maintenance is concerned. Not only was he fast and friendly, but he charged so little I felt I was getting away with something. I wish I could do more than leave a 5-star review but this will have to do. I almost want to move to Charleston just so I can exclusively deal with this shop. Thank you!

We drove our 68 chevelle to Charleston and heard funny noise we wanted to get looked at. We stopped in and came right out to look at the car; let us know it was just the parking brake but we were good to go back to NY. Quickly diagnosed what I thought was serious issue with cooling system for a very old car. Was just detached power cable to fan which they fixed. Also repaired brakes.

This guy is the GOAT. I’m a recent transplant from NY and I needed a mechanic to change the brake pads on my car. However, after looking for a while I couldn’t find an repair shop that didn’t try to charge an arm and leg to do the job. Then I found this place. I’ve been at this shop 2 times so far. The first time, to replace the brakes. Second time my car died while buying groceries at Harris teeter and Nelson helped towing the car. He quoted good prices for replacing the starter and battery and the car was fixed really quick. I highly recommend this man and his shop.

Fantastic service. The best I’ve had in CHS by far. My gas tank cover was malfunctioned so I originally brought my car to the dealership where they told I needed to replace a cable for a few hundred dollars. I heard about Nelson and thought I have him take a look. Within a matter of minutes he fixed it. It was unbelievable. No cable needed to be replaced. I highly recommend pro auto care. We really lucked out; he was on-time and professional and gave the car a thorough inspection with recommendations. His advice was extremely valuable. This man was on his way to get lunch when I called and asked if he would replace my battery. He turned around, walked back to his shop and put it in within 10 minutes. He didn’t ask for a dime because “the task was simple” but he at least deserved lunch on me after helping me out. This shop just opened and he deserves all the customers he can get so go to him if you’re in search of an auto shop!!

Visiting Charleston and needed emergency brake repair on 4th of July. Everyone I called was closed of course. But Nelson saved the day.The shop was closed, but Nelson answered the phone anyway and listened to my problem. After listening and determining the problem he called around to make sure the necessary parts were available. Again, most everyone was closed but he found a place that had my parts AND made the drive to pick them up himself. In short, he went above and beyond expectations to resolve the problem.The job was completed in a timely fashion, professionally done, with great friendliness, and at a very reasonable price. I was looking for a mechanic, and this place came up on a google search with great reviews. I called and Nelson got me in right away.My car was stalling after about a mile. The computer diagnostic didnt sount right to me, and nelson said hed just had another car with the same code, and said replace the fuel pump. Let me have it for 3 days, theres people in front of you.He did what he said he would do, charged me a fair price, and got it done faster than promised.Ill go back again.
