It’s been since late July that my boyfriend has been without his car. It is now the end of October. Every couple weeks he’ll receive a phone call from these guys saying, “it’ll be ready this weekend.” It’s still not ready. It’s now just a bunch of empty promises. This has been a horrible experience, and I would strongly advise you to take your car somewhere else. It has been 3 months my boyfriend has been without a car! 3 months!! Don’t go to Sean. Go elsewhere!
Had my oil changed 03/08/2021 by this service center? Apparently they forgot to put the oil in when doing so! Engine oil light came on at 5400 miles which I knew it was due for oil change. How ever I went to another service center close to work and they said it was black and hardly anything in it. This should not have happened Im Never going back here again I even of for upgrade oil and service!
Thank you Sean and team. I needed new tires and the pricing was great. The installation was difficult as my car had some unforgiving lug nuts. I was updated regularly on the progress and am very happy with the outcome. Great experience.
I drove to NTB an hour before they closed in need of a tire patch was told that all they would do was put air in it and he would not fix it. I begged him to just check it out for me and I was turned away. I told him I would go elsewhere and he proceeded to tell me he knows every shop and no one else around the area would help me at that time of day. I drove two minutes away from them and was serviced immediately and only had to wait for 20 minutes. The staff here are rude I will never return.
Place is very unprofessional and Sean at the front desk was rude. I also had an appointment I had to wait a week to get into there for them to fix my car. Once I get there he tells me that I didnt tell him that it was the wheel barring that I needed fixed and he said I was wrong I didnt say that, then corrected himself later. After that it takes them 7 hours to finish my car, They told me everything looks great and it was looking good nothing else wrong with the car. They only put Brake pads and aparently they put New front rotors on the car as well. But when I took my car back out it was still running very bad and humming very loud. So they never fixed anything of what I told him the problem was. He avoided even looking at it. So he tells me to come back after I complained and then once I get back they check it again and then he tells me, Oh yeah we didnt do that after he just told me he looked at everything. I told him to get a whole checkup on the car and he said he didnt even check the tires. Moral of the story is they didnt do anything helpful to the car and also charged me $400 for what?! And then after I told him ok since you didnt fix it when I came in yesterday can you possibly get me in tomorrow? Then he tells me Nah man cant were all booked until next Friday BUT I LITERALLY JUST TOLD HIM THE PROBLEM YESTERDAY WHEN I WAS HERE FOR 8 HOURS AND YOU DIDNT EVEN CHECK IT. Place sucks you need new front staff never coming back to this place again. Would not reccommed unless you want unprofessional people on your car giving you false information about your car. That guy needs fired. He shouldnt be working there.
I was hoping NTB was going to be my go to place for tires and oil changes for my Audi. I admit Im cheap so I decided to use them instead of the Audi dealership to save a few buck as Audi charges $150 for an oil change.I left the Audi at NTB and after two hours I received a phone call saying they couldnt figure out how to drain the oil. I assumed since I made the reservation they could have planned for the change or could have declined the oil change instead of taking up my time.After I received the call I jumped on Youtube and found many videos of how to change the oil in an Audi.The icing on the cake was when I went to pick up my car, I found a large greasy footprint on my carpet floormat.Like I first said I had high hopes for a go to oil change and tire dealer.

EDIT: I GOT HOME AND WAS MISSING SCREWS IN MY WHEEL HUB CAP. I called back and they said there was nothing they could do since I already paid.I guarantee the wheel cap will fall off over the weekend, so Ill most likely need $50 to get that replaced as well.This place is the BIGGEST RIP-OFF Ive ever been to.I came at exactly 1:30 (when my appointment was scheduled). Waited 10 minutes for someone to come at the desk, who then started my appointment on paper at 1:39 implying that I was the one who was Late.This affected my wait time (or so I presume). They told me a 1-hour wait time 1.5-hrs maximum.I came back 2 Whole hours later, after receiving no form of update.They still needed another 45 minutes.A simple oil change and tire rotation on a Jeep Wrangler took over 2.5 hrs. Its 4pm and Im still waiting on my servicing scheduled at 1:30pmI came here bc of a $20-off coupon. Honestly it shouldnt have even been a coupon. This service is sub-par to anything Ive paid before.I wasnt even given a discount for the extra-long wait time, despite the fact that it caused me to miss work and be well over an hour late.Unless I get some type of discount sent to me, Ill never come here again. I lost 2 hrs of work ($60 for me). No compensation OR discount. How Effing unprofessional can a garage get.Was willing to try NTB because if the coupon, but saving $10 on an oil change (for a 1-time coupon) doesnt equate value to the fact that Im missing 2 hrs of work and losing $60.I should have been given at least least a 25% discount for the wait. I didnt even get a sorry or any form of apology.If I can get $50 for my wheel cap and at least 50% off my fast servicing, maybe Ill change this review. But so far, the customer service has been absolutely ZERO/NONEXISTANT

So today I was at NTB of West Ashley. I also stopped by last week to gather some information. Both visits were the same. Lexi and Bryan were especially kind and patient. Today I met the manager, “Smitty”. Now I know why his employees show so much care. It comes from his leadership. Every attempt was made to give me knowledge to help me make an informed decision. So the decision was made to get the tires, and Jake, the mechanic, seem to take extra special care of the job and my car. While waiting, I listened to yet another employee, Rob, answer phone calls, answer questions from walk-ins, and doing it all with kindness. I would highly recommend this location.
Ive been on hold for 15 minutes no urgency to speak to the client on the phone. I was looking to buy four tires today but will be taking my bussines else where worst experience I have personally had with tire shops THEY HAVE NO PHONE SKILLS OR CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS I decided to give them a second chance but the experience is the same.
I went there to get a tire fixed, because of a nail in my tire. They said that they couldnt fix the tire. They explained why, and were honest about it. Thats all I could ask for, because these days nobody is honest.
Went into NTB feeling a bit nervous because i have been taken advantage of in the past with mechanic shops. But this was a totally different experience. they were up front and honest with me, even took me out into the garage and showed me what was going on with my tires. I have never had any other garage do that for me. Thank you so much for your honesty
Had a 10:00 a.m. appointment that is now noon and there are still no tires on my car. Supposed to be getting for new tires.
I would not recommend this place to anyone my mother brought her SUV in for a simple tire repair and waited for approximately 3 hours when the service writer came back to discuss the issues with my Mother they explained that they couldn’t repair her tire but tried to upsale her on rotors struts and brakes this is a tactic service departments use to get more money out of the customer so they can have a bigger commission pay check at the end of the week beware of these people an how they practice business my mothers car has been serviced at the dealer since new so if Baker GMC Doesn’t see a problem with the vehicles suspension why would NTB see any different

NTB on Savannah Highway is exceptional! This was the most hassle free experience I ever had no bull! We blew a tire on the interstate on our way back to Charleston and after I put on the spare I called probably 6 different tire stores. Some were closed - Saturday- some were busy and I was on hold for 20 minutes only for them to tell me they were too busy. NTB was fast, friendly and very reasonably priced. A girl named Lexi answered my call initially and told me to stop by and she even was able to get us taken care of today with a packed schedule. She was very friendly and helpful! If you need tires or batteries take yours business there! I know they have some back reviews but they changed management and everything is running smoothly. If your the owner and you are seeing this - you got a great employee and a great operation! I also own a business with fleet vehicles and my office is on DuPont rd so I will be bringing you my business for that! Thanks NTB
GREAT service, especially on a Saturday. Had to get an oil change and they found some things that were a safety concern that needed to be fixed. They were able to fix it the same day with no issues. Thank you to Smitty and the rest of the guys at this location for looking out for me.
**Update**Two days later I came back (on a saturday which I expected it to be busy), and I was quickly helped. Lexi was of course smiley today and the customer service manager Mike was kind enough to explain everything to me, including future worries about my used car. James also was helpful in detailing exactly what to expect and how to go about my issues. Im really really glad to see that it was only a one up last time.So I spent 6 hours here today. I had an 11 oclock appointment, and I was there right before 11. I hate to make a bad review, but this is just how it is I guess.I know theyre busy and a lot of people came in, but I came in for an alignment and was told Id have to wait a little while, and then it would take 45 minutes. The associates were nice and I understand that there were only two mechanics, but there were a LOT of people that left before I was addressed and none had appointments. I didnt even see the woman that came in for an appointment at the same time as me, she was gone that quickly. Unfortunately they had a man in there that was causing a hard time and he was allowed to jump in front of me for the same service that I was there for. It was just called a special alignment because he had a very expensive car. Im not sure why they took care of him first, I assume to appease him, but they also lost money in that they gave him a 50% discount.*My price was about $650 and they were nice enough to bring it down a bit ($500) with a credit card sign up and Alexis was more than kind enough to give me a discount for my original alignment*Let me add, I did wind up getting two other things done, but I dont see why it wasnt back to back (mind you, I know nothing about cars or how these shops should function, Im normally perfectly fine with waiting but this was much longer than I had planned and on my one day off). I had to get a strut changed as well as a tire. They told me it would be an hour and a half. They started the process at around 2 if Im not mistaken, 3 hours after me being there. I waited quite a bit before asking how long it would be. When the absolutely wonderful desk associate Alexis told me it would be another 45 minutes for the alignment (from 4:15 to 5) there was nothing I could do but wait. I did spend all six hours in the shop as I didnt have a ride or anyone in the area that could pick me up. I would have taken an uber had I known that it would be such a long wait.Again, Im sorry that I have to write this review, and I understand they were unimaginably busy (which Alexis handled the front like a literal champion), but thats kind of ridiculous when Ive scheduled an appointment especially when Im not even expecting in and out. Easily a few hours, plus with the extra work included, but not six hours. Thank you.
Great experience. Smitty was very polite and knowledgeable and took the time to teach me about tires and when to look for when i should replace them. I had a small bulged in the side of one of my tires from hitting a curb and i wasnt sure if it was safe to drive on. They replaced my tire quickly and they were so nice.
Went here for a Lyft inspection, the young lady told me that they would give me a free oil change as long as I filled out a credit application. I asked her how to do it, she told me that I could go online and fill it out. Went online filled out the application and called to schedule my appointment to be told that they cant do the oil change because I did it online. Would never recommend their services to no one, for one because they dont honor their word. I worked in a business setting for years and if my employee gave out the wrong information, I would definitely take care of it. Like I said I would never recommend them to anyone.

Plan to spend all day here. Even for the simplest tasks. Appointments are useless, they still allow walk ins at the same time your appointment is and it pushes you back. Had an appointment at 2, it is now 3:30 and my truck still has not been touched.I know NTB, I’ll visit your website to fill out the form. No need for a robot to reply back.
They didnt have my tire in stock but found a comparable tire. They had my car ready sooner than promised. Lexi was most helpful and friendly.

Do not bring your car here. Had a 5pm appointment for a routine oil change and tire alignment. Long story short, ended up being 22 hours and 3 trips to their store. They also left the keys in my car and killed the battery. They then tried to add money onto the bill for labor fees that didnt exist. When i asked Rob about the additional money he claimed he hit the wrong button and removed the fees. DO NOT COME HERE.
NTB on Savannah Highway is managed by James Smith. He is a great manager looking to take care of his customers and his employees. Every service provider should take note of how he conducts business.

NTB-National Tire & Battery on Savannah Highway in West Ashley is a well managed NTB location that is efficient and takes good care of your vehicle when you need them. The staff here is very friendly and knowledgeable at their job. I have had a positive experience every time I have been here.
Great customer service. Dropped off my vehicle the other morning to get tires put on and mentioned that i will pick it up later in the day. Smitty asked me if i had someone to come and get me and i told him i was going to walk home. Its only about a half mile to the house. Smitty asked if i needed a ride and said that someone could drive me. I politely declined, but it was nice of him to offer.
Need a battery, quick in and out. Will come again.
After a blowout on the Hwy, Lexie got me 4 new tires mounted and aligned in the same day. It’s frustrating enough to need car repair, to get it completed in the same day was a lifesaver. Thanks! #Smitty

After not being totally satisfied with alignment performed on a previous visit I returned and found new management there that agreed an issue may have been missed on first visit and thus warrantied the previous work despite being outside of time window given and my truck drives perfect now. New manager smitty did a great job and mechanic was super professional describing what he did different from previous mechanic to be sure i was 100 percent happy. They have earned all my business’s future work.

I have never been to NTB before. I got a coupon while shopping for a 19.88 oil change, so i figured i would try them. I am glad that i did. I took my car in, and they did a FREE safety inspection. They found that one of my tires was in very bad shape, and i am lucky it didnt blow out on me on the highway. The manager, Smitty, was nice and very polite. He even took me out to my car to show me my bad tire. I have never had any other store do that. That shows me that i am not going to be ripped off just because i am a female. They have earned my business in the future, Thank you for being honest.
Popped a tire first thing in the morning, was able to get it to ntb, James took care of me and had me back on the road within the hour. Great and professional service. My other tires will need to be replaced in a few months and I will definitely be giving this place my business! Highly recommend!!!

I was down here for vacation and ended up getting a hole in a tire. No place in all of Charleston could get the tires for my car except NTB. Instead of waiting on the truck to get the specialty tire to the shop for the tire, they sent a driver out to get it from the warehouse. Very satisfied with the customer service and they have won my business going forward.
I have a 4 pm appointment to replace one tire and to do an alignment. The car was brought inside at 5:15 pm. At 6 pm (closing time) they asked me if I still wanted the alignment. My answer was NO.It took 2 hours to replace one tire.Bottom line making an appointment at NTB does not guarantee they will do the job. I was very disappointed
Overcharged for tires. The tires cost $121 each. I got 2 of them but my total ended up being $350. Then they quoted me for 2 front tires that were the same brand. Why was the quite higher for the front. Its a rear wheel drive car and the rear tires are bigger. Ive never seen the front tires cost more. I called them out on it and the guy couldnt really speak on it. I wont be going back

I cant think these guys enough. I came in late on a Monday and the manager Bobby was there to take a look at my tires immediately. I understand they were super busy but they still let me in to get two new tires. The customer service there is amazing. Once again thanks guys!
Terrible customer service. Had a blowout on the road from out of town. Called on phone to verify tire was in stock. They had the size I needed and told me over the phone they could take of changing it when i got there. It took some time to get spare changed on side of the road. Showed up at 6:30 w wheel in hand not on vehicle. Store closes at 7. The guy at front after confirming with someone in the back of store multiple reasons why they could not do it at this time...had to wait till the next morning. Now..I was on the way home to NC when my tire blew out...so waiting till the next day was not an option. I do not recommend this store.
I showed up at 4:45 with a tire issue. Smitty is the best. He took care of my tire in little time. He has excellent customer service skills that I observed with myself and other customers
So i was there a few weeks ago and one of the shop guys i believe his name was Antwan was working on my car i told him i was kinda in a hurry and man did he got me out there fast. i was so impress he got my tires and oil change done so quickly that i had time to spare. he was really nice and inviting to me and my wife he talk to us while he worked showed me a few things i might have to repair in the future it was really appreciated ntb just got a new regular customer

Came in with a flat tire first thing in the morning. They were booked up for the day and I did not have an appointment, but Smitty was able to get me a new tire and back on the road within 30 minutes. Best experience i have had at a tire shop
Paid for a radiator fluid drain and fill along with typical stuff like an oil change and tire rotation. They drained the radiator fluid and forgot to fill it back up. I went back to their shop to have them fix it and spent about 2.5 hours waiting for it to be done. No sense of urgency whatsoever.
My experience at NTB Savanah Highway is one the best experiences EVER at an automobile service repair establishment. I found the team at this particular location to be technically superior, knowing the intracacies of auto repair work and providing value added solutions at an affordable price. NTB will recommend how to reduce the cost of the repair if needed. But more important, the attention to detail and customer service is top drawer. In closing, this establishment operates with the highest level of integrity and I recommend this particular location to all future customers.
All i can say is WHAT A DIFFERENCE this place is since new management took over. I use to dread coming in here to get my car worked on, but Smitty made my visit pleasant and quick. I use to wait for hours to get an oil change or to get my tire fixed, but i was in and out in less than an hour this time.
Worst customer service experience EVER! Took my new (to me) car in for an alignment and tire balancing because the dealership I bought from works with them all the time. Dropped my car off and waited until they called to pick it up. When I picked it up, nothing had been done, the car still had a wobble in the tires and pulled off to the right. I went back. Robbie the manager could have cared less and said there was nothing else he could do. The inside of my car was COVERED in black grease from whoever drove it that I had to clean off myself. Worst company ever. Go to Gerald’s just a half mile down the street!!!! They know good customer service and satisfaction! They’re also honest and will do the work requested without robbing you of money.
9/21 conventional oil change took over 3 hrs with appt. They also skipped wiper fluid which was empty at 1st use. If you are not the 1st appt of the day, you are at their mercy.
Trying to get an alignment done or even someone who does it properly is next to impossible at this shop. This shop has gone down hill since Bobby and Sarah left. Its sad to see the business go down hill because of its lack of care by its employees. Not all of them, just the few that ruin it for the rest.
My parents 07 Ford Taurus broke down. I had it towed to NTB. They close at 7pm but it is now 630pm and they sent someone to pick up the part and they are going to fix it tonight. I would recommend them to anyone!! Excellent CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Bobby and Sarah are always polite and happy to explain the details of your service, and when applicable, give you options so you can choose what is best for you and your vehicle/budget. Visit was for 80k mile checkup and maintenance. Very cordial upon arrival. Car was taken back for service within 15-20 minutes as expected. After approximately 3 hours went to check on car. Was told they recommended a visit to transmission shop and no work was done. No one came to find me in waiting area to update.
I went in a few months back with a flat tire in the trunk of my car that I wanted them to fix as well as to get an oil change. When the car was brought back around after they were finished I looked in the trunk and my tire was still in there, untouched. I went back in to ask why it wasnt done and the guy told me the tire was too old and not worth it. I wasnt happy, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I have since gotten new tires on my car, but had a slow leak in one and took it in to get fixed a few days ago. When I got in the car after the service, the low tire pressure light was still on. I walked back in the store to ask and they took the car back into the garage, only to bring it quickly back out saying we forgot to reset the light. I did not think much of it. However, I got in my car this morning and guess what? Low tire pressure light was on. They did not fix the problem, just told me they did. Dont waste your time here. GO TO GERALDS, THERE IS A REASON THEY ARE ALWAYS SO BUSY.
Stopped by abruptly for air in my tires and a rouge piece under the car that didn’t look right and they had me out in a few short minutes. Everyone is very friendly. I use them for oil changes and tires also.The one improvement I’d like to see is being more timely with calls when work is done, but other than that I continue to go here because they do good work and I pay a fair price for it.
I was a little apprehensive after reading some of the reviews but I was a customer at another location years ago at another location. I am so happy I took a chance on them. I was assisted by Marlin. He was professional and helpful. I initially explained how my car was riding rough. I got a great deal on a new set of tires. My car is riding so much better and Im getting better gas mileage!

They could probably use some more employees in the back, to keep the flow moving, but overall a good experience!
My son and I woke up to a surprise screw in one of our tires, on a Saturday morning while we were temporarily visitng from Toronto Canada. We needed a quick solution and tried 2 different service centers that couldnt help us. Sara was great, and she realized our front tire could not be plugged because of its condition, so she replaced and rotated our tires all within 2 hours even though they were busy. So she recommended we go to Ruby Tuesdays and come back and the car would be ready for us. We returned 30 minutes early, and the car was ready to go. I booked a appointment online. When I showed up the guy tried to tell me that they couldnt get me in when they promised and it was a computer error. Then tried to up sell packages and tires. I am sure it was his job but I didnt feel very appreciated so I decided Id buy tires elsewhere.
I have taken my vehicles here for years and in the past had spotty service. They were always nice but over time got less and less efficient & serious time delays. The new manager has turned things around and I couldnt be more pleased! He even helped me get a credit from the manufacturer for some tires that didnt last anywhere near their life expectancy. Ill be glad to use this store again!
Unfortunately the car that I currently have has given me quite the plethora of serious issues, but the staff here has made my life much easier by not only fixing my car, but assuring me that everything would be taken care of in a timely and efficient manner! The customer service is top notch and way more friendly than any other service place that Ive been to in a while! They are very knowledgeable and always willing to work with you to try to find you the best price possible. Highly recommended…
Great service, great staff. Smitty got me in last minute to get some tires for my car which needed them very badly. This is my place to go to from now on.
Every time they call you about your car the price goes up at least fifty bucks to find out they didn’t fix the original issue. Left on hold for over 20 minutes, and they told me they would call me back soon and five hours later I have to call to get another expensive update.
Here I am posting my first ever Google review, and trust me, this place has earned it. On four separate occasions, my husband has taken his car to this place and been told that his car would be done by the end of a certain day. When the end of that day is approaching, my husband has called to confirm he will still be able to pick up his car by the end of the day - only to be told they wont have it done until the next day. So then, of course, my husband is without a car for a day and has to find a ride to work, etc. Four. Separate. Times. They also once had his car for four days (Friday through Monday), only to tell him at the end that they had finished diagnostics but hadnt done any actual work (super helpful, considering we already knew what was wrong). Another time, they did the alignment poorly, and we had to bring it back to have it fixed. Another time, they put in the wrong part, so he had to bring it back to get fixed. Said wrong part had to be ordered, which caused a days delay. Then the next day, apparently it hadnt been ordered the previous day (despite the rep supposedly ordering it while my husband was standing in front of him), so it had to be ordered again, causing ANOTHER days delay. This place can do nothing right. You couldnt pay me to visit them again.
I have been a customer with NTB for years but the new manager, James “Smitty,” is absolutely amazing! I had a flat tire on my way to work. I pulled into NTB and they fixed it within 30 minutes, with no appointment! EXCELLENT management and customer service!

I went there for oil change . rotate tires and a leaking tire. Was told it will take 2.5 hours. Vehicle sat in park lot for 2 hours. Then they started working on it. 5 hours later it was done. Good thing I marked my rims. Rotating all wheels were placed in wrong place. Sticker in window wasnt there. I had to go in to ask for the window reminder.Attitude was great. They seemed to treated people fairly.Service non existing. Will never return . Sorry
