My husband and I had such an amazing time! Simon, our tour guide, is an excellent historian and story teller. Each time he would tell a story, it was in so much detail, it grabbed my attention and I could envision his every word. HIGHLY recommend Simon as a tour guide!

My cousins and I met up in Charleston for a long weekend. We went on the Ghost tour with our guide Simon. He’s a great storyteller and guide. I find ghost tours fun and go for the historical aspects. Orbs and aspirations ehh, not a believer. Anyways we got to the Unitarian Church. My cousin and I were drawn to a different part of the cemetery while the rest of the group went along with Simon. We took a detour and wandered a path and stopped at a small site, I took a photo. We stood a few more moments before making our way to the other side of graveyard and rejoining the group. After stories about a few of those laid to rest, Simon tells us he will take us by the grave of Mary - the star of that segment. He lead us straight to the grave we had been drawn to. The photo I took I gave fo Simon. There’s some white light I cannot explain over her grave. Any other “orbs” I caught on the tour were light reflections. But that one??? Why were we drawn to go off wandering a dark graveyard and stop at that one??? Take the tour, learn some history and maybe Mary will ask you to come say hi.

We had fantastic storytelling from our guide, Greg! He was very engaging and the tour was well-paced and never boring. Getting to end the night in the Unitarian graveyard was incredible, and the perfect way to end the tour! I felt like I got a good feel for the city and some of its many ghosts, which was important to me as a first-time visitor to Charleston.

My sister and I took the nighttime ghost tour. Our guide Joe was excellent! He was great at telling the stories and acting them out making them very entertaining. He also did a great job navigating our group through the streets keeping everyone together and waiting for the group to assemble at each stop so everyone could hear and get the full experience. Tip: wear comfortable, stable walking shoes. The sidewalks and alleys are very uneven.

Simon is a great guide, as well as a true historian. He was very engaging during his tour and took his time at each spot. The tour was well worth our time. Dogs are also welcome on the tour. Our dog had a great time and was very attentive throughout the night. This tour also has exclusive rights to the Unitarian church graveyard.

Neat little ghost tour with a very fun guide. Learned quite a bit about the history of Charlton and some of its past inhabitants. The guide was a great storyteller, and while it was a little spooky walking around in the dark, a little disappointed I didnt see any ghosts. :D

Simon was a great tour guide and an excellent story teller. This was a fun way to explore Charleston and learn about its history. There were guides from other companies we overheard on our tour that I do not think gave anywhere near the experience Simon did. Simon definitely takes pride in what he does and is a master of his art, highly recommend doing a tour with him.

The ghost tour with Mr. Neale was worth every penny! Great guide with superb knowledge of Charlestons history and haunted past and present. Take the 930 option if you can, as you end the tour in a creepy overgrown graveyard in the middle of the night. I would have paid $25 just for that...

Fantastic ghost tour of Charleston. It was a walking tour that provided us with wonderful history of Charleston as well as midnight access to the cemetery. I would choose this company again. I pre-ordered their book and am glad that I did. I am also glad I didnt read it ahead of time but will have it for a great souvenir of the tour.We chose the 9:30 tour and Greg was amazing!

Tour Charleston has added a gem to its fine repertoire of walking tours. I had the great fortune of taking Damon Fordhams new tour Lost Stories of Black Charleston last week. Anyone who can go, GO! You will learn so much from an historian whose own familys history contributes to Charlestons. And continues to do so today as was proven by the honks, waves, and salutations of his friends and family as we strolled through the city! We felt like a part of Charleston with Damon!Damon is so full of great stories that I think Tour Charleston will soon have a Part II of Lost Stories of Black Charleston. I know a lot about Charleston history, but Damon gave me so much more! A great storyteller and all around nice guy! Bravo! I highly recommend this tour and I would go again!

My boyfriend and I were on a last-minute trip to visit family in South Carolina and spent a day in Charleston. Over dinner I convinced him to do a ghost tour that evening. I pulled out my phone and booked the first one that popped up online. We definitely lucked out getting this tour. Our guide was incredibly friendly (as everyone in Charleston is). Most importantly he really knew his stuff and genuinely seemed to enjoy his job. Even my boyfriend, the ghost skeptic, loved learning stories that you wont find in the history books. Two thumbs up.

Greg is a good story teller and the tour was longer than expected (bonus). Charleston has a ton of history and ghost stories. We had our 8, 10 and 13 year olds with us and they enjoyed it. Our tour started at 7:30 and it was dark by the end finishing in the spooky Unitarian Graveyard. The dusk start made it possible to see the bats flittering over the circular church. If looking for a freightening tour, be aware these are stories of benevolent ghosts so you likely wont be frightened, unless you are a particularly anxious person. There is a decent amount of history intertwined with the stories.Do wear ample bug spray (provided by the tour group at the start if you forget). I didnt notice the no-see-ums / sand-fleas until the final graveyard stop.In short, interesting way to spend the evening and learn about an old and colorful city.

I had the pleasure of taking a tour with Damon Fordham in the new tour If those streets could talk...lost stories of Black Charleston. The tour started with a tune on his harmonica to set the tone and continued thru the streets of Charleston with a weaving of personal stories, black history and warmth. The tour was both informing and inspiring. Very highly recommend spending some time with this local author, professor and story teller.
