An amazing selection of brand name purses, shoes, dresses, sweaters, shirts, pants, and so much more, this upscale thrifting experience is so much fun! The employees are friendly, I never feel hurried which makes browsing and just enjoying my time there so much more comfortable. Store is very well organized, especially for as much merchandise is on display at any one time. I recommend it highly for a great afternoon shopping experience!

My go-to place to sell clothes and shop thrifted clothes! This location is big and has a lot more variety and items than the one up in Scottsdale. The clothes they sell range from forever 21 to free people! They have many different brands and they sell basic & trendy clothes. I usually have a good amount of luck finding things here and prices are usually pretty decent. If you sell here, you can either get more bang for your buck by getting store credit or you can get less money, but in cash (I appreciate that we have both choices). Be sure to check this second hand clothing store out!

Store is short staffed -very understandable but the store was a MESS, also understandable for being short staffed but I could not believe the amount of clothes just sitting there in bins, peoples personal items everywhere near the selling area. If felt like I was in someones garage- not a used clothing store. I am also surprised at the inventory they take. I was literally flipping through racks of basic old Navy, Shein, Romwe, and target brands. I could buy all of that stuff brand new for the same price or lower! I did use my trade and got some jeans and a hat so not a total loss but the inventory is very lacking if you are looking for unique pieces, vintage, higher name brand items. I will not be back. Also, I actually inquired about joining their team because I really wanted to help and could use a side hustle and when I asked about joining, she seemed less then interested and looked at me like I might be crazy. You guys have signs everywhere saying you are short staffed!

My experiences with this store have always been off and on I dont go to consignment stores to find brands that are sold at Target, Walmart and Old Navy, and recently, I was prompted for my feedback on my experience. I told the business owner, after I was solicited by text to write a review, about my honest opinions shopping at her store. I gave several positive and negative perspectives, such as the selection, the quality of the items, the staff and how they ignore customers and are not attentive and helpful. Most of it was an long time customers honest opinions about how the store has taken a dip in many of these aspects. I included a specific employee who was rude and even gave the detailed scenario. I even pointed out that I DIDNT want to comment this on a review site and it was more just for her information. As a business owner who is never in my store, I would rely on this type of information to be my eyes and ears. I described him as the guy wearing a full face of makeup, more than I have ever worn and went on to detail my experience. I also gave her feedback on how the Scottsdale store seems to have better service and selection. I have never seen a more immature, childish and defensive retort from an adult, let alone a in the public small business owner. It stoops to a level of petty. And in spite of all the valuable feedback I gave, she took none of it in and isolated only the wording I used to describe the male employee. Read the conversation in my photos below. What a disappointing encounter with a local small business owner whose customers are going out of their way to support her business.

It was hidden a bit. You just have to find the Walmart and pet store and its hidden on a corner in the plaza. This place is much better than Platos Closet. They were very professional. The store is kept clean and the selection is expansive. They also do pay a better price on items as well but it still is not a lot- not for compared to what they will sell your item for. Also, certain items they will not accept... They actually do have a list of items you can bring in for that season. Ask the cashier and they can give you that list.I really cant complain too much though. The ladies working up there are friendly and super quick to give you a quote. Unlike Platos where you have to wait an hour or more, this place is in and out. Wait a few minutes and youll get a quote. :)

I took 23 items in and they bought 3 items. An Abercrombie cardigan, an Ann Taylor blazer and a vintage button front long sleeve western crop top for $13. Comparatively speaking, I took all of those items plus a new with tags metallic bronze jacket to a similar store on Ray and Rural and they only bought the jacket for $5. The atmosphere was friendly and I also waited less at Uptown Cheapskate than the other store.

I visited this store for the first time to sell a few items and I probably should have researched further because it definitely was not worth it. They picked 10 items which included name brand jeans, shoes and shorts and the pay out was $35.00 or $49 store credit. $35 for TEN items.....I asked for a breakdown as that seemed extremely low compared to other stores and was told they give you 1/3 of what they price the item at. The cashier also stated, “we have to make money too” and offered for me to take any items back. I won’t be returning and would not recommend selling any items here unless you would like $4.00 in exchange for your Guess jeans.

Uptown Cheapskate is absolutely a love/hate relationship. I LOVE going here to browse around but my bank account hates it. I can’t ever leave empty handed and I always find the best goodies I didn’t know I needed.

It is a well-organized thrift store. The store is centered towards young adults so expect to find a lot of name brands such as Free People and Forever 21. As I perused through the clothes, I saw that most if not all of the items are kept in good conditionI also came to sell some items and although they didnt take everything the employees were nice.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE. I have purchased clothes from here as well as sold to them tons of times. I also choose to go to this store over Name Brand Exchange and Buffalo Exchange because I feel, at least for me, that they pay out the best for my items. I usually walk out of the store w no less than 100.00 paid out to me.The other day walked out w 225.00 that they paid me out for my items!My experience has always been great nothing but a great experience. The staff is amazing very polite very good demeanor towards the customers and extremely helpful. They always have welcoming smiles on their faces. Oh and I forgot to mention the selection of items they have, both men and woman, is incredible!

Honestly, love it here. I usually shop at Plato’s closet bc it’s less than a mile away from my house, and uptown is probably 1.5 miles, but best believe I will be driving that!! I even told the employees how much better of a job they were doing because it just feels different and so much better. These employees won’t make you feel small for asking for a discount, will make you feel welcomed, and valued for the time and money you spend here!!! If you’re wondering “which used clothes store is better?” Definitely come here. I’m totally coming back another time, keep up the good work you guys!!! :)

I come to this location weekly. Today I had some returns, the dressing rooms had been closed so I needed to return some things that didn’t fit. I was told that they couldn’t be returned because they were final sale. When I said I wasn’t told that the worker told me it was on the receipt. The receipt that was given to me after purchasing the items. He made it clear that the original worker had messed up not stating to me it was final sale. If the worker messed up by not telling me, I would expect them to be more understanding. I spend way way too much money here to be told Im just stuck with these items because of this mistake. I just expected more from a store so much of my money goes to.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Went to Name Brand Exchange and The Buffalo Spot before finding Uptown Cheapskate and can honestly say I’ll never go back to those other places ever again! The woman who helped me I believe her name was Taylor was extremely helpful and super kind! She made me feel comfortable selling my two pieces of Kate Spade jewelry to the store. They also have brands like Fashion Nova and Top Shop to shop for, very great environment and will be recommending this place to all my girlfriends!!

They had a lot of name brand stuff for way cheaper. I enjoyed how the store was laid out and how you could see everything. I will be shopping there and selling my clothes to them very very often now.

Ive loved this store since I found it years ago. When I sell my items its always a reasonable wait and they give me a fair amount for what they buy. They constantly run good sales, have a great reward program and always have the latest trends. I dont think that Ive walked in once without finding a good buy that I didnt regret spending the money on.

Big place, but it was kind of a mess and their selection of clothes larger than a medium is a joke. I wear a L/XL and most of those sections had very few items in that size, and a lot of small and medium mixed in to that section.And, the changing rooms dont have a chair or a stool for your clothes, and when I picked my shirt off the ground it was covered in dust.Pretty disappointed. Though, lots and lots of cute stuff if youre an XS to M...

This place has really bad customer service and poor communication. A few times I have called before going there to sell and on both occasions they have made me waste my time and gas. This last time I called to verify they were open and buying clothes because their website says they’re closed. When I get there they say I have to leave my items for 24 hours before they can even look through them because of covid but they never told me this on the phone. I could make an appointment in that case and go somewhere else. I rather sell to Platos and Buffalo.

I always find something(or a few somethings...) rad at uptown cheapskate. I dont know what it is about about this particular location but it just has the most fashionable stuff. Like any thrift/consignment store, it IS kind of a grind getting the best stuff and yeah, your perfect cardigan might just just have a moth hole in it. However, the overall intake quality is good, the staff is friendly, the store is as clean as can be and the prices are more than reasonable - especially with the frequent sales.If I could offer anything, Id wish for them to expand their plus size section. Im a pear shaped woman and I hardly ever pants shorts or skirts here. Ill always come back for everything else!!

I think you need to your employees to diversity training,the 20 something customer was asked if she had membership with them,she did not so your employee explained at great length what it was and its reward system.The customer was signed up,she payed her bill and was on her way. Then my 60 something self I was processed with no question as to whether I was interested in points. So when time came to complete transaction I told her wanted to be sure my points went on my account.I believed to her I was old and in a million years someone like myself would never shop there or hab an account,Usually I receive great service here,but this was blatant disregard and some wrong assumptions

Brought in a bag of Seven for all man kind, Levis, volcom, Hudson Jeans and the employee told me he didnt want it cus its wasnt their style, I spent 20 minutes looking and all my stuff was the same or nicer then what they offered. Very rude should probably not work just collect disability for whatever mental disorder you have

Been here a couple of times got a pair of brand new toms. But they dont really want to buy anything you have if it doesnt fit the style of the buyer personally.. They also offer very little money

Pretty good store but the employees are kinda rude, for example one day I went with my sister in law and my 2 year old nephew, and he was playing around and he had tripped and fell right in front of an employee and she didnt do anything when she was literally 2 feet away from him, my nephew fainted and it scared me and my sister in law but the lady didnt do anything, she didnt even ask if he was okay. They need better employees that at least act like they like their job.

Not a good place to sell clothes. Very poor customer service as well. Went in today and all 3 people working were standing at the front counter eating, with their food sitting by the registers. Workers were consistently on their phones when people were waiting to be helped. They also don’t take very much for anyone trying to sell clothes. Only name brand things.

Over priced for second hand run-of-the-mill mall brand clothing (go across the street to Chandler Fashion Center and get most of the same type of clothes probably for the same price range). Occasionally, you might get lucky and find a decent deal on a nice bag. Employees are generally snobby and couldnt be bothered to help. Been here once or twice, never going back.

I bought the cutest body suits here for less than $12 TOGETHER. The girl at the counter was super nice and helpful!

My experience was horrible. I wish there was a zero rating to give this store. If you are trying to sell your clothes make sure you visit the store when it is not busy. I took in a bag of clothes and waited an hour only to be told that none of my things were wanted. I watched the employee open my bag of clothes take out two or three shirts and then she placed everything back. She did not go through the clothes I bought. She simply took a glance at a couple items and chose not to go through the rest of the things. My bag contained many brand name items such as Nike and Adidas. Very disappointed, if you want to sell your clothes I suggest going to platos closet !!

First time at a consignment store..not really a fan. The mens clothing wasnt bad. But the womens was kind of limited to six 0-6. Anyone with a butt couldnt buy shorts and majority of the pants there. The tops were majority small-medium. 1 rack of large mixed with XL. Very limited workout attire. Not a fan of the staff. Seems they were more interested in purchasing for themselves than helping the customers. 👎🏻

First time there, walked in saw their prices are outrageous and clothes have flaws. But thats not the worse part after walking around for some time no one said anything to me. I heard them talk to customers and saying have you heard about our specials... Goodwill is better than this place, smh. You may have to dig for the good brands but way worth it than driving here. Even Name Brand exchange is better than this place and I dont like them either.

We did school shopping there for my niece. I overheard the ladies behind the counter advise the customers who brought in trades -wow they offer GREAT credit value!! Very nice and professional staff. The store was very organized and well kept. My niece did want an outfit a mannequin was wearing but we were told due to a fashion show we wouldnt be able to bring home until Sunday. My 12 year old niece was devasted but whatever. Still a store worth going back.

Every time I walk into Uptown Cheapskate - I get the BEST service! Friendly, thoughtful and energetic staff! Today, I was helped personally while the other gals/guy pitched in elsewhere so the sales associate helping me was not pulled in 10 diff directions.
